Double Trouble feels like a film that will keep me entertained with a mix of action, comedy, crime and family drama, was planning to enjoy Christmas only to find myself in the middle of a jewellery robbery in Las Vegas, that is the kind of trouble Willow and Charlotte find themselves dealing with in this movie.
This is directed by Shaun Piccinino and written by John Ducey the film stars Violet McGraw as Willow and Madeleine McGraw as Charlotte, Interestingly the two actresses are sisters in life which makes their on‑screen relationship even more interesting.
The story follows Willow and Charlotte two quick‑witted sisters who suddenly get caught up in a high‑stakes heist in Las Vegas, What should have been a holiday quickly turns into something much more dangerous when a valuable diamond gauntlet becomes the centre of a criminal operation.
Now this is not any ordinary piece of jewellery that someone can misplace and start looking for later, It is valuable enough to attract people who are willing to go to great lengths to get them.
And for the sisters they find themselves right in the middle of everything, as the situation gets more complicated the sisters realise that they cannot simply walk away and pretend they know nothing.
They have to find a way to stop the criminals and help recover the stolen treasure before Christmas arrives, this is where David, a MI6 agent who becomes involved in their mission enters the picture.
With his experience and security background he becomes a person for the sisters to work with, all trying to outsmart professional criminals is not something you can just wake up one morning and decide to do especially when you have no idea what you are getting yourself into.
Together they must figure out how to deal with the thief behind the operation, the mission is not going to be easy, there are people to deal with plans that could go wrong at any moment and henchmen who make the entire situation even more chaotic.
The sisters also have to depend on each other, like siblings they may not always see things the same way but when trouble comes knocking they have to put their differences aside and work together.
Their relationship is a part of the story because beyond the robbery and action this is also a story about family, teamwork and having someone who will stand beside you when things get difficult.
What makes the movie sound entertaining is the combination of holiday excitement and a criminal adventure.
Of spending Christmas quietly these sisters find themselves dealing with a diamond heist, dangerous enemies and a mission that could easily go wrong.
Overall Double Trouble looks like a choice for anyone who enjoys lighthearted action movies with family comedy mixed in.
I like the idea of two sisters being, at the centre of a heist story because it gives the movie room for both moments and action packed scenes.
Sometimes all you need is a movie that does not take itself seriously but still gives you an interesting adventure.
And with Willow and Charlotte getting caught up in this kind of mess I can imagine there will be plenty of moments that leave viewers laughing while wondering how these two will get themselves out of trouble.
