After finishing Dragon Ball Daima, I came to the conclusion that we were all too hard on Dragon Ball GT.

At this point it is somewhat obvious and evident that Daima is closely inspired by GT. I would even say it's almost a plagiarism because of so many similarities.

I was discussing this question with a friend and we both agreed that GT is better in almost every aspect. Like for example in the villain, GT's is much more serious, intimidating and dangerous. The one star dragon may not be the best antagonist in the franchise, but he is worthy.

Daima's is pretty bad. Gomah is a very forgettable villain. He lacks charisma, seriousness and intimidation. Plus his design is poor. Literally, from the neck down he looks exactly like Jiren. So aside from being bad, he's an almost blatant copy.

Another issue, the transformation of SSJ 4 was better approached and presented in GT. In Daima it was done in a very bland and very out of nowhere way. Simply, Neva shows up, casts a spell and that's it, Goku SSJ 4. In GT it was better constructed. Before the transformation there was a goal, a training and a plan. It wasn't pulled out of the sleeve just because. Goku grows back his tail and upon seeing the earth, he transforms into a golden Ōzaru with no consciousness. So that later, with Pan's help, Goku regains control and we see that SSJ4.

The ending of GT was really beautiful. Seeing Goku lying on Shenlong while the narrator says goodbye to him with the opening song in the background was very emotional. I think at this moment, every Dragon Ball fan dropped a tear.

Daima's ending is too forgettable and generic. Majin Kuu gives the final blow to Gomah, proclaims himself as demon king, says goodbye to the main characters and that's it. I don't know if it gets to be a bad ending as such, but I didn't feel half as much compared to the ending of GT.
El final de Daima es demasiado olvidable y genérico. Majin Kuu le da el último golpe a Gomah, se proclama como rey demonio, se despide de los protagonistas y listo. No sé si llega a ser un final malo como tal, pero no sentí ni la mitad a comparación del final de GT.
