Saludos a todos los miembros de la comunidad, ¿cómo están? Les voy a ser totalmente honesta, lo que me une a esta serie es una fe inquebrantable en las series donde Dick Wolf está involucrado, pero no debo ser también crítica sobre esto que ha estado perjudicando de sobremanera la fluidez de FBI: Most Wanted desde hace algún tiempo respecto al desarrollo de personajes como consecuencia de la salida de los actores que le dan vida a los mismos. En el camino desde la primera temporada muchos de los personajes han tenido que salir porque los actores por diversas razones se han ido de la serie, por ello no se le puede achacar demasiado a la producción porque la mayoría se ha ido debido a decisiones propias de los actores, con algunas excepciones y daños colaterales, lo cual quizá aumente la frustración pues ellos intención tienen de desarrollar los personajes… solo que se les van los actores.

I'm going to be totally honest, what unites me to this series is an unshakable faith in the series where Dick Wolf is involved, but I must not also be critical about this that has been greatly impairing the fluidity of FBI: Most Wanted for some time regarding the development of characters as a result of the departure of the actors who give life to them. Along the way since the first season many of the characters have had to leave because the actors for various reasons have left the series, so you cannot blame the production too much because most have left due to the actors' own decisions, with some exceptions and collateral damage, which perhaps increases the frustration because they intend to develop the characters... only that the actors are leaving.

La línea argumentativa de la serie ha mantenido su esencia de la caza de fugitivos a través de los Estados Unidos, pero aquello que la complemente en relación a sus personajes se ha afectado con cada una de las salidas, siendo una de estas de vital importancia pues supuso la despedida del agente especial Jess Lacroix, a quien habíamos estado viendo como el líder de este equipo gracias a la interpretación del actor Julian McMahon. La manera en la que tenía el personaje de analizar las situaciones para llegar a dar con el paradero de los catalogados como más buscados me encantaba, pues exploraba ese lado de la psicología criminal que a mí en lo personal me llama mucho la atención, sin embargo, respecto al personaje en sí mismo y su trasfondo, lo sentía como estancado una vez se llegó a cierto punto, porque siempre se enfocaban en temas que ya habían sido abordados y lo que hacían era agregarle trabas.

The storyline of the series has maintained its essence of hunting fugitives across the United States, but that which complements it in relation to its characters has been affected with each of the exits, one of these being of vital importance because it meant the farewell of Special Agent Jess Lacroix, who we had been seeing as the leader of this team thanks to the interpretation of actor Julian McMahon. The way in which the character had to analyze the situations to find the whereabouts of those catalogued as most wanted I loved it, because it explored that side of criminal psychology that I personally find very interesting, however, regarding the character itself and its background, I felt it as stagnant once it reached a certain point, because they always focused on issues that had already been addressed and what they did was to add obstacles.

Habían comenzado a integrar a su familia en las dinámicas de la vida cotidiana explorando problemas del pasado, de igual manera se le intentó brindar mayor profundidad incorporando Jen Landon al elenco para interpretar a Sarah Allen al convertirse eventualmente en el interés romántico de Jess Lacroix, mostrándonos una de las facetas de este que todavía no habíamos visto. En general se apreciaba que siguieran intentando agregarle elementos al personaje para hacerlo más humano, aunque también sacrificaron un poco la esencia de personajes por hacerlo, como el drama alrededor de la hija, Natalia ‘Tali’ Skye LaCroix, quien con la adolescencia aparentemente se convirtió en una persona diferente siendo rebelde y demás… nunca que encajó del todo. Debido a la salida de Julian McMahon, la historia de Jess Lacroix tuvo que encontrar un final que a su vez cerraba la puerta también para los otros dos mencionados.

Ahora, su remplazo supone uno de los grandes errores dentro de series suponen ser parte de un mismo universo porque Dylan McDermott llega luego de haber participado en Law & Order: Organized Crime interpretando al villano Richard Wheatley, entonces ¿cómo se come eso? Entra para tomar el papel de Remy Scott como líder de la unidad de una forma distinta a como lo hacía Jess Lacroix a juzgar por lo que hemos podido ver en los capítulos donde aparece. Es algo que me llena de alegría dentro de la incomodidad de tener a un actor que aunque es excelente en lo que hace pues ya lo conocemos como Dylan McDermott y mi mente tiene problemas asociándolo siendo un chico bueno, por así decirlo, pero sí han sabido darle una esencia propia. Mientras Jess Lacroix era calmado en su mayoría siguiendo las reglas, este da la sensación de estar en un punto medio acercándose a un vaquero.

No tardaron mucho en introducirnos las problemáticas que se irán desarrollando alrededor del personaje relacionadas con su trasfondo familiar, sobre todo, algo que aprecio porque no se puede perder el tiempo tampoco, lo hicieron de una manera en que cuadró a la perfección con su llegada, matando dos pájaros de un tiro en menos de tres capítulos desde que apareció en escena. Además, su personalidad resulta muy refrescante para la dinámica del equipo y las situaciones en las que se mete, porque tiene sentido del humor, ha estado soltando algunas bromas que honestamente me dan la sensación de que el grupo puede convertirse en algo divertido respetando este trasfondo serio de un grupo de agentes especiales que persiguen criminales… ¿pero por qué no un humorista como jefe? Ya también dejó ver que es un hombre libre en el romance que le va a llevar vino a una jueza porque le gustó y se lo dice de frente como macho.

Also, his personality is very refreshing for the dynamics of the team and the situations he gets into, because he has a sense of humor, he has been dropping some jokes that honestly give me the feeling that the group can become something fun while respecting this serious background of a group of special agents chasing criminals... but why not a humorist as a boss? He already also let it show that he is a free man in the romance that he is going to bring wine to a judge because he liked her and he tells her straight up like a macho man.

Es como una especie de maldición, cuando le ponen un poco la atención a uno de los personajes del equipo diferente al líder parecer ser que este está destinado a irse, sea porque el actor quiere retirarse, sea porque los productores por una razón que desconocemos deciden dejarlo ir. Justo cuando el agente Iván Ortiz se estaba relacionando en un nivel más personal con la agente Hana Gibson aunque esto fuese en su mayoría a tono de amistad, los productores de la serie han tomado una decisión que nos dejará sin el personaje que interpreta Miguel Gómez para la próxima temporada. No sé cómo tomar esto considerando que la serie necesita desesperadamente que algunos sean más frecuentes para que no se sienta como si esto fuese un hotel donde muchos vienen y se van al mismo tiempo, pero supongo que queda confiar. La posibilidad de que regrese sigue allí considerando cómo se le dio salida.

It's like a curse of sorts, when they put some attention to one of the characters of the team other than the leader it seems that this one is destined to leave, either because the actor wants to retire, or because the producers for a reason that we don't know decide to let him go. Just when agent Ivan Ortiz was relating on a more personal level with agent Hana Gibson even though this was mostly on a friendship level, the producers of the series have made a decision that will leave us without the character played by Miguel Gomez for the next season. I don't know how to take this considering the series desperately needs some to be more frequent so it doesn't feel like this is a hotel where many come and go at the same time, but I guess it remains to be trusted. The possibility of him returning is still there considering how he was given an exit.

Según tengo entendido, se unirá un nuevo personaje llamado Ray Cannon que será interpretado por el actor Edwin Hodge, quien de igual manera que Dylan McDermott, ha interpretado un papel en otra de las series de Dick Wolf, Chicago Fire. La única diferencia está en que Edwin Hodge le dio vida a Rick Newhouse por allá entre los años 2014 y 2015 que se ven lejanos, y yo que también he visto esa serie pues ni me acuerdo de su participación, mientras que Dylan McDermott interpretando a Richard Wheatley está casi recién salido del horno. De cualquier forma a estas alturas no me importa, en el fondo lo único que quiero es que por amor de Dios terminen con un grupo que puedan desarrollar y cuyas dinámicas internas funcionen como para que los espectadores podamos decir que los amamos, sin el medio de que para la próxima temporada pues quizá no estén. Tengo fe en Remy Scott, ya veremos a Ray Cannon.

As I understand it, a new character named Ray Cannon will join the cast and will be played by actor Edwin Hodge, who like Dylan McDermott, has played a role in another of Dick Wolf's series, Chicago Fire. Saludos a todos los miembros de la comunidad, ¿cómo están? En una primera oportunidad hablando sobre mis series de televisión favoritas, mencioné esta en particular que apenas estaba comenzando a ver la luz, puesto que se encontraba a decir verdad en sus inicios dando las primeras aproximaciones tanto respecto a la trama como en sus personajes, de los cuales algunos ya no se encuentran presentes debido a diferentes factores, sin embargo llevan a un mismo resultado, esa sensación de que, aún, no me puedo sentir completamente conectada con la serie de la misma manera que sí he conseguido hacerlo con otras que provienen de esta misma familia. Es así que pasaré un poco a explicarles cómo ha estado siendo mi experiencia viéndola con consideraciones a tener en cuenta si se quiere emprender este viaje, que desde mi perspectiva se ha llenado de decepciones. Hay spoilers, no voy a mentir, hablo sobre personajes que ya no están y nuevos que han venido a unirse al equipo, así como ciertos detalles, pero en realidad por las características de la serie en general el enfoque está en cómo atrapan a los malos, eso en todos los capítulos, y no detallo nada sobre eso. De cualquier forma, queda el aviso y nadie es tomado por sorpresa.

In a first opportunity talking about my favorite TV series, I mentioned this one in particular that was just beginning to see the light, since it was in its beginnings giving the first approximations regarding both the plot and its characters, some of which are no longer present due to different factors, however lead to the same result, the feeling that I still cannot feel completely connected with the series in the same way that I have managed to do with others that come from this same family. So I'll spend a little to explain how has been my experience watching it with considerations to take into account if you want to undertake this journey, which from my perspective has been filled with disappointments. There are spoilers, I'm not going to lie, I talk about characters that are no longer there and new ones that have come to join the team, as well as certain details, but in reality by the characteristics of the series in general the focus is on how they catch the bad guys, that in all chapters, and I don't detail anything about that. Anyway, the warning remains and no one is taken by surprise.

Cada uno de los casos que llegan a las manos del equipo hace lo que se supone que debería hacer, entretener con ese estilo de ir descubriendo a detalle los sucesos y razones a partir de entender la mente de los criminales, sigo pensando que este mecanismo para el desarrollo de la historia es entretenido, sobre todo porque no son las mismas particularidades en los diferentes episodios, estos se desenvuelven alrededor de circunstancias muy distintas entre sí. Es por ello que en realidad no tengo quejas, por mucho que siga siendo un aspecto quizás repetitivo, como ya se ha dicho anteriormente, la verdad es que para personas que nos gusta esta fórmula no hay nada que hacer, desde el ámbito del desarrollo de los casos estoy satisfecha… el problema está en el desarrollo de los personajes, si es que se puede considerar que hay alguno, porque no se muestra al espectador casi nada de su vida personal más allá del trabajo —que aunque trabajen con horarios exigentes y deben estar prestos la mayoría del tiempo algo de vida privada debe de existir— a menos que se trate de Jess LaCroix, líder del equipo, quien es el que se ha llevado toda la atención para una profundización decente, un problema que ha se veía de la primera temporada.

That's why I really have no complaints, even though it is still a perhaps repetitive aspect, as has been said before, the truth is that for people who like this formula there is nothing to do, from the scope of the development of the cases I am satisfied… the problem is in the development of the characters, if you can consider that there is any, because the viewer is not shown almost nothing of his personal life beyond work -that although they work with demanding schedules and must be ready most of the time something of private life must exist- unless it is Jess LaCroix, team leader, who is the one who has taken all the attention for a decent deepening, a problem that has been seen from the first season.

Debe destacarse que gracias a la partida de muchos actores de la serie que le dan vida a personajes habituales se ha perdido mucha densidad necesaria, el agente especial Clinton Skye interpretado por Nathaniel Arcand no solamente era uno de los miembros más valiosos de la unidad sino el cuñado de Jess LaCroix, por lo tanto, al irse desde mi punto de vista se siente un poco vacío, sin mencionar que ese personaje al ser un nativo americano le añadía un toque de diversidad importante al grupo, que era agradecido por la audiencia. Además, los abuelos de Tali, quienes eran interpretados por Lorne Cardinal y Irene Bedard han desaparecido también, en el sentido de que ya no se muestran en la serie, una ausencia que no se ha profundizado desde que se mencionó de manera intrascendente que se habían ido a un crucero, algo que no tiene ningún sentido, sobre todo considerando lo mucho que Jess se va de la casa por trabajo y se supone que estos se encargaban de cuidarla, sin olvidar que en un principio estaban allí para que ella se sintiera más cerca de su madre al compartir con sus abuelos maternos, ahora no están. Para cubrir con ese vacío, se decidió integrar a la familia de Jess a la historia, algo que a decir verdad ayuda en el desarrollo del personaje, sin embargo, no se siente correcto que no hayan decidido desarrollar esa salida de los personajes para evitar que se sienta como si estuviéramos viendo algo inconcluso y apresurado.

To fill that void, it was decided to integrate Jess' family into the story, something that really helps in the development of the character, however, it doesn't feel right that they didn't decide to develop that departure of the characters to avoid it feeling as if we were watching something unfinished and rushed.

Hay destellos de la vida privada de los demás integrantes, son momentos de cotidianidad y conversaciones con sus seres queridos que dejan ver dónde se encuentran, pero ¿es suficiente? Creo que el mayor problema en este sentido es que el formato de la serie va a un ritmo en donde se hace difícil encajar demasiado de todos los integrantes del equipo para que se les vayan dando forma, al tener que estar en constante movimiento con casos que no dejan prácticamente nada de cabida a enlazarlos con ellos, hacerlos personales, se vuelve más difícil ir profundizando los personajes. Pese a eso en determinados capítulos sí se ha establecido en cierta medida relación con algunos, no es ninguna sorpresa que en su mayoría haya sido con Jess. Es curioso, regresando a lo que hacía mención sobre la partida de algunos actores junto con sus personajes, que otro sea Kellan Lutz, quien interpreta a Ken Crosby, pues se había estado mostrando bastante de su vida privada hasta con su nuevo interés amoroso, y ahora no seguirá en la serie… son situaciones que se escapan también del control de los productores.

I think the biggest problem in this sense is that the format of the series goes at a pace where it is difficult to fit too much of all team members to give them shape, having to be in constant movement with cases that leave virtually no room to link them with them, to make them personal, it becomes more difficult to go deepening the characters. In spite of that, in certain chapters a relationship has been established to some extent with some of them, it is no surprise that most of them have been with Jess. It is curious, returning to what I mentioned about the departure of some actors along with their characters, that another one is Kellan Lutz, who plays Ken Crosby, since he had been showing quite a lot of his private life even with his new love interest, and now he will not continue in the series... these are situations that are also beyond the control of the producers.

He leído comentarios de personas pidiendo por alguien nuevo que le siga dando vida al personaje, por considerar que todavía estamos en los inicios de esta serie, puede que quizás tienen razón sobre ese punto, pero una vez los espectadores se acostumbran a asociar un rostro a determinado personaje resulta difícil traer a alguien más, no me gusta nada esa idea. Es preferible enfocarse en los nuevos personajes que se encuentran en el equipo, los agentes Ivan Ortiz y Kristin Gaines, que son interpretados por Miguel Gomez y Alexa Davalos respectivamente. También espero que no olviden la atención que se merecen los personajes de Roxy Sternberg y Keisha Castle-Hughes, que son Sheryll Barnes y Hana Gibson, porque tampoco es que se ha visto mucho de ambas, un poco de Sheryll con su esposa, y una situación en particular de Hana por un caso que tuvo el equipo pero hasta allí.

I have read comments from people asking for someone new to continue giving life to the character, considering that we are still at the beginning of this series, maybe they are right on that point, but once viewers get used to associate a face to a certain character it is difficult to bring someone else, I don't like that idea at all. It's preferable to focus on the new characters on the team, agents Ivan Ortiz and Kristin Gaines, who are played by Miguel Gomez and Alexa Davalos respectively. I also hope they don't forget the attention that Roxy Sternberg and Keisha Castle-Hughes' characters, Sheryll Barnes and Hana Gibson, deserve, because we haven't seen much of them either, a little of Sheryll with her wife, and a particular situation of Hana for a case that the team had, but that's as far as it goes.

¿Puede que esté siendo quisquillosa? Quizás. Lo cierto es que la voy a seguir viendo para descubrir si es tiempo lo que le hace falta para cultivar todos los detalles que siento que necesita, tal vez poco a poco a medida de que vayan dejando detalles por todos lados sobre los personajes al final se sienta como algo completo, tome la profundidad que estoy queriendo, pero quiero ver arcos de los personajes en donde se sepa muchísimo más sobre ellos de lo que se muestran, quiero ver capítulos con relación hacia su pasado, su presente, su futuro, pero no sólo con Jess, sino con todos. Para mí, sí vale la pena seguir viendo la serie, incluso hasta empezar ahora siempre que se tengan la expectativa en niveles realistas.

Maybe I'm being picky? Maybe. The truth is that I'm going to keep watching it to find out if it needs time to cultivate all the details I feel it needs, maybe little by little as they leave details all over the place about the characters in the end it will feel complete, it will take the depth I'm wanting, but I want to see character arcs where we know a lot more about them than what is shown, I want to see chapters that relate to their past, their present, their future, but not only with Jess, but with everyone. For me, it is worth continuing to watch the series, even to start now as long as you have realistic levels of expectation.
