¿Cómo están el día de hoy? Yo muy bien y muy feliz de estar otra vez por aquí para contarles que, por razones de la vida, terminé viendo en casa de una amiga una película de la cual ya tenía una idea, gracias a la gran cantidad de promoción que se le hizo, pero sin duda me dejó muchas opiniones buenas y malas que quiero contar. Obviamente, hablo de Destino final: Lazos de sangre. Sin más, quiero contarles un poco de la película y, obviamente, de mi opinión.

How are you today? I'm very well and very happy to be here again to tell you that, for reasons of life, I ended up watching at a friend's house a movie of which I already had an idea, thanks to the great amount of promotion that was done, but without a doubt it left me with many good and bad opinions that I want to tell you about. Obviously, I'm talking about Final Destination: Blood Ties. Without further ado, I want to tell you a little bit about the movie and, obviously, about my opinion.

Destino final: Lazos de sangre, resumen

Destino Final, Lazos de Sangre nos sumerge otra vez en el perturbador mundo donde la Muerte no ofrece clemencia. Esta vez, la pesadilla comienza en un tranquilo campamento de verano, donde un grupo de amigos se reúne para celebrar sus últimas vacaciones antes de la universidad. El protagonista, Alex, vive una angustiante premonición: el viejo puente que están a punto de atravesar se colapsará, destruyendo la vida de todos. Desesperado, logra avisar a algunos de sus amigos y a otros más, sacándolos del autobús justo a tiempo para presenciar cómo el puente se desploma en un conmovedor espectáculo de acero doblado y concreto. A partir de ese momento, se da comienzo a la inevitable secuencia de eventos trágicos.

Final Destination, Blood Ties plunges us once again into the disturbing world where Death offers no mercy. This time, the nightmare begins in a quiet summer camp, where a group of friends gather to celebrate their last vacation before college. The protagonist, Alex, experiences a distressing premonition: the old bridge they are about to cross will collapse, destroying everyone's life. Desperate, he manages to warn some of his friends and others, getting them out of the bus just in time to witness the bridge collapse in a moving spectacle of bent steel and concrete. From that moment on, the inevitable sequence of tragic events begins.

Los sobrevivientes del colapso del puente comienzan a morir de forma continua, en eventos horribles y aparentemente fortuitos que, sin embargo, mantienen un patrón inquietante. La Muerte, siempre creativa y despiadada, utiliza situaciones cotidianas y detalles insignificantes para llevar a cabo sus planes. Un gimnasio se convierte en un peligro letal, una hoguera en el bosque se torna en un incendio incontrolable, y hasta un simple paseo en bicicleta puede resultar en un desastre mortal. La tensión crece a medida que el grupo, cada vez más pequeño y asustado, intenta desvelar el erróneo plan de la Muerte, buscando con angustia una forma de romper el ciclo que los atrapa.

The survivors of the bridge collapse begin to die continuously, in horrible and seemingly fortuitous events that, nevertheless, maintain a disturbing pattern. Death, ever creative and ruthless, uses everyday situations and insignificant details to carry out his plans. A gymnasium becomes a lethal danger, a bonfire in the woods turns into an uncontrollable fire, and even a simple bike ride can result in a deadly disaster. Tension mounts as the increasingly small and frightened group tries to unravel Death's misguided plan, anxiously searching for a way to break the cycle that traps them.

Cada fallecimiento desvanece la esperanza y la paranoia se establece entre los que sobreviven. Investigan que el secreto para subsistir podría radicar en comprender el orden de las muertes y, quizás, si se puede, actuar para interrumpir la secuencia. Sin embargo, la Muerte siempre parece adelantarse, tejiendo su telaraña mortal con exactitud ineludible. "Final de destino: "Lazos de sangre" conserva el patrón que consagró a la franquicia: fallecimientos ingeniosos e intensos, junto con la persistente percepción de que no existe escape. Es una competencia contra el tiempo en la que el destino ya está determinado, y la única interrogante es quién será el próximo a derrumbarse y de qué manera.

Each death dashes hope and paranoia sets in among those who survive.  They investigate that the secret to survival may lie in understanding the order of the deaths and, perhaps, if they can, acting to interrupt the sequence.  However, Death always seems to be ahead of them, weaving its deadly web with inescapable accuracy.  "Destination Ending: "Blood Ties" retains the pattern that enshrined the franchise: inventive and intense demises, coupled with the nagging perception that there is no escape.  It's a race against time in which fate is already determined, and the only question mark is who will collapse next, and in what manner.

Mi opinión

Para mí esta película es una entrega bastante aceptable y impactante de la franquicia; desde el primer momento te agarra y no te suelta, realmente te mantiene viéndola. Me gustó bastante la premisa de toda la premonición que existe, todo el suceso con el restaurante; todo esto la vuelve muy interesante y una premisa bastante única en Irlanda, lo cual le da muchos puntos positivos. Uno de los puntos positivos que me gustó es que esta película tiene un esfuerzo muy grande en la idea de que, por más que trates de escapar de la muerte, la muerte ya tiene un plan para ti, entonces realmente ni que juegues su juego podrás escapar de ella y aquí lo hemos claramente; esta fue una de las cosas que más me sorprendió.

For me this film is a pretty decent and impactful installment of the franchise; from the very first moment it grabs you and doesn't let go, it really keeps you watching it. I quite liked the premise of the whole premonition that exists, the whole event with the restaurant; it all makes it very interesting and quite a unique premise in Ireland, which gives it a lot of plus points. One of the positive points that I liked is that this movie has a very big effort in the idea that, no matter how hard you try to escape death, death already has a plan for you, so you really can't even play its game to escape it and here we have it clearly; this was one of the things that surprised me the most.

Hay un punto muy importante que tocar, que es positivo para unas personas pero negativo para otras, pero cuál es la creatividad con la que la muerte orquesta sus accidentes y las muertes que causa, los métodos para eliminar a los supervivientes, a ser ingeniosos y a veces casi que cómicos con su gran nivel de complejidad, pero terminan siendo un espectáculo visceral. Esto para algunos personajes es positivo, pero para otros no tanto; por ejemplo, para mí no fue su punto más fuerte, ya que me llegaba a estresar un poco lo rebuscadas que podían ser las muertes, quitándole un poco de realismo a la película.

There is a very important point to touch on, which is positive for some people but negative for others, but what is the creativity with which death orchestrates its accidents and the deaths it causes, the methods to eliminate the survivors, to be ingenious and sometimes almost comical with their great level of complexity, but end up being a visceral spectacle. This for some characters is positive, but for others not so much; for example, for me it was not its strongest point, as I came to stress a little how far-fetched the deaths could be, taking away a bit of realism to the film.

Si bien la estrella de la película es siempre la Muerte misma y sus elaboradas trampas, los personajes en "Lazos de Sangre" cumplen su función. No son los más profundos, claro está, pero te los crees en su desesperación. Ver cómo la paranoia los consume, cómo se culpan unos a otros y cómo intentan, inútilmente, encontrar una salida, es parte de la experiencia. Quizás no empatices con ellos a un nivel emocional profundo, pero sí sientes su terror y su frustración. Son peones en un juego mucho más grande, y esa impotencia es contagiosa.

While the star of the film is always Death himself and his elaborate traps, the characters in "Blood Ties" play their part. They're not the deepest, of course, but you believe them in their desperation. Seeing how paranoia consumes them, how they blame each other and how they try, futilely, to find a way out, is part of the experience. You may not empathize with them on a deep emotional level, but you do feel their terror and frustration. They are pawns in a much bigger game, and that helplessness is contagious.

Un toque diferente que me gustó de esta película es que hay momentos en los que realmente piensas que quizás, solo quizás, puedas romper el ciclo. Esos pequeños momentos de esperanza, por muy fugaces que sean, añaden una capa extra de intriga y, aunque la fórmula es la misma, la ejecución de las muertes y la forma en la que se conectan todos estos eventos que ya hemos visto siempre son inesperados. Realmente, para mí este fue el mejor aspecto de la película, ya que, acercándonos hacia el final de la película, me hicieron creer algo completamente diferente a lo que pasó, pensando que la protagonista podría sobrevivir por simplemente llevar ese papel de protagonista, pero nos demostraron una vez más que la muerte es muy inteligente y no persona.

One different touch that I liked about this film is that there are moments where you really think that maybe, just maybe, you can break the cycle. Those little moments of hope, however fleeting, add an extra layer of intrigue and while the formula is the same, the execution of the deaths and the way they connect all these events we've already seen are always unexpected. Actually, for me this was the best aspect of the movie, as, approaching towards the end of the movie, I was made to believe something completely different than what happened, thinking that the protagonist could survive by simply carrying that leading role, but we were shown once again that death is very smart and not a person.

Más allá del gore y la adrenalina, esta cinta también te deja pensando en la inevitabilidad de la muerte. Es un recordatorio macabro de lo frágiles que somos y de cómo, al final, nadie puede escapar de su destino. La película juega con la idea del control, o la falta de él, en nuestras vidas. ¿Realmente tenemos el poder de cambiar lo que está escrito, o solo estamos posponiendo lo inevitable? Es una pregunta incómoda, pero que la película plantea de forma muy efectiva a través de su narrativa implacable.

Beyond the gore and adrenaline, this film also leaves you thinking about the inevitability of death. It is a macabre reminder of how fragile we are and how, in the end, no one can escape their fate. The film plays with the idea of control, or lack thereof, in our lives. Do we really have the power to change what is written, or are we just postponing the inevitable? It's an uncomfortable question, but one that the film poses very effectively through its relentless narrative.

En resumen, esta película tiene algunos aspectos positivos y otros negativos, pero para mí llegan a ser un poco más de peso los aspectos negativos y, aunque en el público tuvo un recibimiento bastante bueno y una crítica algo positiva, realmente no es de mis películas favoritas. En esta sala siento que la hicieron muy comercial y nos quitaron ciertos aspectos de la película que hubieran subido su nivel cinematográfico. Aún así tengo que admitir que la pude disfrutar mientras la veía y no me aburrió ni mucho menos; realmente me dejó pendiente y viendo cada suceso que por la misma pasada. Personalmente le doy un 6/10; no es la mejor de la saga, pero tampoco la peor.

In summary, this film has some positive and some negative aspects, but for me the negative aspects are a bit more weighty and, although it had a fairly good reception from the public and a somewhat positive review, it is not really one of my favorite films. In this theater I feel that they made it very commercial and they took away certain aspects of the film that would have raised its cinematic level. Even so, I have to admit that I was able to enjoy it while watching it and it didn't bore me; it really left me hanging and watching every event that happened during the movie. Personally I give it a 6/10; it is not the best of the saga, but not the worst either.
