Before Monitoring
The first time I met Bruce Willis was in the series Moonlighting. While watching him on the screen, I really liked his annoying movements and his sarcastic smile. Of course, his rivalry and love with Maddie Hayes brought another dimension to the series, but it was his sarcastic smile that I liked the most. My admiration increased even more with Die Hard film series that followed. Bruce Willis is still one of my favourite 4 - 5 actors and whenever I think of him, I remember his sarcastic, sly smile. Because of my admiration for him, as soon as I saw his name in the cast list of any film I came across, I would press the play button without paying attention to the subject or the film's comments, and if I could, I would go to the cinema for him.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I think that what makes a film good or bad is a relative concept, just like love! Someone may fall head over heels in love with someone they don't like.
Last night I saw the poster of the film Fortress with Bruce Willis in the cast list. Although my admiration for Bruce Willis is still going on, I can't say that it has peaked these days. I guess that's why I overlooked his film Fortress, which was made in 2021. In fact, the thought that I should watch it immediately without wasting time with details such as the film's poster, cast list, director, etc. was dominant, but something happened that gave me pause. The IMDB score of the film was 3.4. I was surprised and strange that a film starring Bruce Willis had such a low score. The first thing that came to my mind was the idea that it was relative and I dwelled on the possibility that I could give full marks to a film that others gave low marks. They must be wrong because I thought that the name Bruce Willis alone has the effect that can carry a film.

Monitoring Moment
The film started in a typical Bruce Willis, action and suspense mood, or that's how my prejudices wanted it to be, or that's how it was reflected to me while watching it. Robert (played by Bruce Willis) lives a retired life in a wonderful holiday village in the middle of nature. His son Paul (played by Jesse Metcalfe) comes to visit his father at the holiday village. Actually, the reason for the visit is to get his deceased mother's inheritance as an assignment so that he can withdraw money from the bank and for this he needs his father's permission and signature.
Of course, these are the visible parts of the work, there are always invisible parts in action films. The invisible parts are the parts that revolve around the main story of the film and give us viewers pleasure. I don't go too deep in order not to upset anyone.
[source](https://www.themoviedb.org/t/p/w500_and_h282_face/czRSclwYRbuk69eFnXgoaEO4ygE.jpg)Paul is actually the owner of a newly developed cryptocurrency company and needs hot money to continue their 10-year roadmap. For hot money, he needs to convince his father. That's why he makes statements about cryptocurrency to his father. However, father Robert keeps a large amount of crypto money in a special encrypted offline wallet.
If I said to my father "I'm going to buy crypto, give me money", I'm sure he would answer me "don't bother with empty things". lol. I wish when I was telling my dad about crypto money, he would interrupt me and tell me about the sides of crypto that I don't know, how great it would be.
The crypto money conversation between father and son, which takes place right at the beginning of the film, both pleased me as a scene and encouraged me to dream about different dialogues about my father.
Post Monitoring
The film and Bruce Willis' acting was a complete disappointment for me. In not a single scene did he display the cynical, sly smile that I have seen in all the films I have seen and which suits him so well. Even the way he held the gun in the action scenes was like a hand holding a trusted item carefully so as not to break it. When the performance of the other actors was below what I expected, I watched the worst film with Bruce Willis in it.

Bruce Willis was like this throughout the film, giving the impression as if he had come as a guest between the shootings and would leave as soon as the cameras started shooting.
The end of the film Fortress seemed to indicate that there would be a sequel. I don't know if there is an idea to make a sequel or other films after this film, but I think Bruce Willis looked like a forced employee who had reached retirement age but was not retired because of his strategic duty. Looks like the old wolf has retirement plans!
