Hello everyone, dear community of The Anime Realm, I hope you are doing great today, this time, I want to share a new review, with my opinions, about a very interesting anime, that you probably don't know, it's called “Garo: Vanishing Line”, and I tell you, it's a journey... to be honest, I started watching it without knowing much, just that it was something from the Garo franchise, but don't worry, don't worry if you haven't seen the previous seasons, because this one stands on its own, and it's totally independent, eh, first, let's talk about the world where all this happens... the anime is set in a modern world, like ours, and I loved that, because I was already a little tired of so much medieval fantasy anime or things like that.. here you see huge cities, skyscrapers, everything modern, but here comes the interesting thing: they don't beat around the bush to show the ugly side of our society.. they put in front of you problems like unemployment, delinquency, and even super hard things like racism and child molestation... it's as if they put a mirror in front of you and say “look at this, these are the problems we always ignore”.
And now, let's talk about Sophie, the main character, an incredible young girl! I think she's about 12 years old, and she's there, alone, looking for her older brother who disappeared, just thinking about it makes me cringe ... but the girl is super determined and brave, she really inspires, throughout the series, you see how she grows and changes. . she's not the typical damsel in distress, no! She gets into the action and makes really difficult decisions, it's great to see such a young character with so much strength, we always see women being mostly accessories, and it's cool to see a female character determined and with a lot of determination.

Hola a todos, querida comunidad de The Anime Realm, espero que estén super bien hoy, está vez, quiero compartir una nueva reseña, con mis opiniones, se un anime muy interesante, que seguramente no conocen, se llama "Garo: Vanishing Line", y les digo, es todo un viaje.. siendo sincero, empecé a verlo sin saber mucho, solo que era algo de la franquicia de Garo, pero tranquilos, no se preocupen si no han visto las temporadas anteriores, porque esta se defiende solita, y es totalmente independiente, eh, primero, hablemos del mundo donde pasa todo esto.. el anime se ambienta en un mundo moderno, como el nuestro, y eso me encantó, porque ya estaba un poco cansado de tanto anime de fantasía medieval o cosas así.. aquí ves ciudades enormes, rascacielos, todo lo moderno, pero aquí viene lo interesante: no se andan con rodeos para mostrar el lado feo de nuestra sociedad.. te ponen de frente problemas como el desempleo, la delincuencia, y hasta cosas súper duras como el racismo y el acoso sexual infantil.. es como si te pusieran un espejo enfrente y te dijeran "mira esto, estos son los problemas que siempre ignoramos".
La verdad, eso es de valientes, y se agradece un montón, y ahora, hablemos de Sophie, la protagonista, ¡una joven increíble! yo creo que tendrá unos 12 años, y está ahí, solita, buscando a su hermano mayor que desapareció, solo pensarlo me da cosita.. pero la niña es súper decidida y valiente, de verdad que inspira, a lo largo de la serie, ves cómo va creciendo y cambiando.. no es la típica damisela en peligro, ¡no! Ella se mete en la acción y toma decisiones re difíciles, es genial ver a un personaje tan joven con tanta fuerza, siempre vemos a las mujeres siendo la mayoría accesorios, y es fresco ver a un personaje femenino decidido y con mucha determinación.

And obviously we have to talk about the other main character, Sword, or as they call him, the Golden Knight... this guy is like the typical tough guy, but at the end he is a hero, you know what I mean? he fights against some creatures called Horrors, which are really weird and he has a brutal armor that looks like a golden lion, super cool, he also handles a giant sword.. he's super strong, but he also has his internal problems, his own demons, like everyone... his past is a total mystery, and as the series progresses, we discover more of his background, it's interesting to see how everything he's lived through affects what he does and how he relates to Sophie. Speaking of relationships, the connection between Sophie and Sword seemed super interesting to me, at first, it seems like the typical relationship of protector and protected, but it evolves into something deeper, cooler, they support each other a lot, they care for each other, and although sometimes they clash and have their differences, you can tell that they care a lot for each other... it's one of those relationships that touches your heart..
Now, let's talk about the Horrors, the bad guys of the movie, basically, they are like the representation of greed and dark desires of people. A very interesting concept because it shows us how our own desires can consume us and turn us into monsters, it's like a critique of how society sometimes pushes us to want more and more, and how that can lead us to corruption and to lose our humanity, something deep... And the action scenes, oof! the best, people, they are intense, well choreographed and just amazing to watch...they are not just punching each other for the sake of punching each other, you know? there is strategy involved, Sword and the other characters have to think fast, analyze their opponents and plan how to beat them. . that gives a little more depth to the action which is much appreciated, and the CGI is well used, it adds to the scenes without looking exaggerated... here they don't abuse this resource, which is something that happens a lot in other anime.

Y obviamente tenemos que hablar del otro protagonista, Sword, o como le dicen, el Caballero Dorado.. este sujeto es como el típico tipo rudo, pero que al final es un héroe, ¿me entienden? anda peleando contra unas criaturas llamadas Horrors, que son bien raras y tiene una armadura brutal que parece un león dorado, super genial, también maneja una espadota gigante.. es superfuerte, pero también tiene sus problemas internos, sus propios demonios, como todos.. su pasado es un misterio total, y a medida que avanza la serie, vamos descubriendo más de su trasfondo, es interesante ver cómo todo lo que ha vivido afecta lo que hace y cómo se relaciona con Sophie. Hablando de relaciones, la conexión entre Sophie y Sword me pareció súper interesante, al principio, parece la típica relación de protector y protegida, pero evoluciona a algo más profundo, más genial, se apoyan un montón, se cuidan, y aunque a veces choquen y tengan sus diferencias, se nota que se preocupan un montón el uno por el otro.. es de esas relaciones que te llegan al corazón..
Ahora, hablemos de los Horrors, los malos de la película, básicamente, son como la representación de la codicia y los deseos oscuros de la gente. Un concepto bien interesante porque nos muestra cómo nuestros propios deseos nos pueden consumir y convertirnos en monstruos, es como una crítica a cómo la sociedad a veces nos empuja a querer más y más, y cómo eso nos puede llevar a la corrupción y a perder nuestra humanidad, algo profundo.. Y las escenas de acción, ¡uff! de lo mejor, gente, son intensas, bien coreografiadas y simplemente increíbles de ver...no son solo darse golpes por darse golpes, ¿saben? hay estrategia de por medio, Sword y los otros personajes tienen que pensar rápido, analizar a sus oponentes y planear cómo vencerlos.. eso le da algo más de profundidad a la acción que se agradece un montón, y el CGI está bien usado, le suma a las escenas sin que se vea exagerado.. aquí no abusan de este recurso, que es algo que pasa mucho en otros animes.

One thing I loved was how emotional this anime is, really, there are super sad and painful moments, especially with Sophie looking for her brother, it's something real, raw, that connects you very quickly with her story, you feel her pain and how determined she is... equally, there are sacrifices that characters like Sword and Luke make that touch your soul... it's not just action for action, but it's about the characters and what they live. Visually, the anime is a jewel, the character designs are unique, they have a more western style, which is different from what we usually see in Japanese anime, Sophie, for example, has a very particular look that makes her stand out.. and the scenarios are incredible.. it looks like a real world, that breathes, the music in the series is also another level.. it accompanies perfectly the action scenes, it raises your adrenaline and tension.. in the most emotional moments, the music touches your heart directly, you can tell they put love to the music...
I do tell you that sometimes the rhythm of the series is a little slow, there are chapters where not much happens and it can feel a little heavy... but in general, I think the story is so good that it justifies those quieter moments, because many times they use them to develop the characters and how they relate, another thing worth mentioning are the themes that the series touches. . it's not just fights and adventures, it talks about society's problems and how we ourselves contribute to them.. it talks about ambition, power and the consequences of what we do, it's a bit dense, yes, but I think it's important.. it gives the series a meaning and makes it more relevant.

Una cosa que me encantó fue lo emocional que es este anime, de verdad, hay momentos súper tristes y de dolor, sobre todo con Sophie buscando a su hermano, es algo real, crudo, que te conecta muy rápidamente con su historia, sientes su dolor y lo decidida que es.. igual, hay sacrificios que hacen personajes como Sword y Luke que te llegan al alma.. no es solo acción por acción, sino que se trata de los personajes y lo que viven. Visualmente, el anime es una joya, los diseños de los personajes son únicos, tienen un estilo más occidental, que es diferente a lo que solemos ver en anime japonés, Sophie, por ejemplo, tiene una pinta bien particular que la hace resaltar.. y los escenarios, son increíbles.. parece un mundo real, que respira, la música en la serie también es otro nivel.. acompaña perfecto las escenas de acción, te sube la adrenalina y la tensión.. en los momentos más emotivos, la música te toca el corazón directamente, se nota que le pusieron cariño a la música..
Si les digo que a veces el ritmo de la serie es un poco lento, hay capítulos donde no pasa mucho y se puede sentir un poco pesado.. pero en general, creo que la historia es tan buena que justifica esos momentos más tranquilos, porque muchas veces los usan para desarrollar a los personajes y cómo se relacionan,otra cosa que vale la pena mencionar son los temas que toca la serie.. no es solo peleas y aventuras, sino que habla de los problemas de la sociedad y cómo nosotros mismos contribuimos a ellos.. habla de la ambición, el poder y las consecuencias de lo que hacemos, es un poco denso, sí, pero creo que es importante.. le da a la serie un significado y la hace más relevante.

In the dubbing and voices, the truth is that they really shined... the seiyus gave an incredible life to the characters, and the voices sounded super natural, it's always appreciated when the voices match the vibe and feelings of each character... if I had to put a but, it would be that some parts of the story were a little bit tangled, there were moments, especially at the end, that I got a little lost of what was going on... but I think it's also because the series touches somewhat complex themes and ideas, or it's that it's poorly written, but perhaps some explanations could have been clearer. Another small detail is that some secondary characters are a bit flat, as if they lacked development, while Sophie, Sword and Luke get almost all the attention and they make them grow a lot, other characters are very basic..
But well, I also understand that with a 24 episodes series, sometimes there is not enough time for more... despite those small things, “Garo: Vanishing Line” I liked a lot, the truth is.. it is a series that combines brutal action with a story that makes you think and well done characters... it's not afraid to touch strong themes and show a critical view of society, and that's appreciated a lot, if you like action anime, but that also have a deeper message, I really recommend you to give this series a chance... it has some emotional moments, and it knows how to captivate you.. I give it a 8.5/10, it's a solid anime that stands out among a lot of action series that are all the same... the mix of incredible visuals, characters that grab you and themes that make you think, make it an excellent series... and well, I hope you liked this review, tell me, did you know this anime? En el doblaje y las voces, la verdad se lucieron.. los seiyus le dieron una vida increíble a los personajes, y las voces sonaban súper naturales, siempre se agradece cuando las voces pegan con la onda y los sentimientos de cada personaje.. si tuviera que ponerle un pero, sería que algunas partes de la historia se me hicieron un poquito enredadas, hubo momentos, sobre todo al final, que me perdí un poco de lo que estaba pasando.. pero creo que también es porque la serie toca temas e ideas algo complejas, o es que esté mal escrita, ojo, pero quizás algunas explicaciones pudieron ser más claras. Otro detallito es que algunos personajes secundarios quedan un poco planos, como que les faltó desarrollo, mientras que Sophie, Sword y Luke se llevan casi toda la atención y los hacen crecer un montón, otros personajes quedan como muy básicos..
Pero bueno, también entiendo que con una serie de 24 episodios, a veces no da tiempo para más.. a pesar de esas cositas pequeñas, "Garo: Vanishing Line" me gustó un montón, la verdad.. es una serie que combina acción brutal con una historia que te hace pensar y personajes bien hechos.. no le tiene miedo a tocar temas fuertes y mostrar una visión crítica de la sociedad, y eso se valora un montón, si les gustan los animes de acción, pero que también tengan un mensaje más profundo, de una les recomiendo que le den una oportunidad a esta serie.. tiene algunos momentos emotivos, y sabe cómo cautivarte.. le doy a un 8.5/10, es un anime sólido que se destaca entre un montón de series de acción que son todas iguales.. la mezcla de visuales increíbles, personajes que te atrapan y temas que te hacen pensar, la hacen una serie excelente.. y bueno, espero que les haya gustado esta reseña, díganme, conocían este anime?
