Después que le dedicas mucho tiempo a un género de película es un poco complicado conseguir algo que te sorprenda, te guste o supere lo visto, considero que quizás para la salud mental y tranquilidad no es bueno ver ni leer terror y horror desde muy pequeño, te deja ciertos traumas o te vuelves un insensible. Al pasar demasiado tiempo sola durante mis épocas de primera y bachillerato la televisión era un lugar especial para mí, y el canal de Space era de mis favoritos, pasé muchas horas allí, lo que por consiguiente me llevó a ver con recurrencia películas de terror; ahora ya grande podría decir que no fue una mala decisión, pero para esa edad seguro había cosas más interesantes que ver, sin embargo abrieron las puertas a un género lleno de tensión, una sensación que puede ser tanto espeluznante como decepcionante. Ayer me tomé el tiempo de ver una película que me han recomendado varias veces, hice mis previos preparativos, esperé la noche que es la acompañante perfecta del género y vi esta producción que está en el medio de lo espeluznante y decepcionante, les hablaré sobre: Gonjiam.

Un trío de amigos dueños de un canal de streaming con el nombre: la experiencia del horror, deciden llevar como invitados en una expedición a cuatro desconocidos que son fan y curiosos de las aventuras terroríficas, el destino es: un hospital psiquiátrico abandonado en las afueras de la ciudad de Gonjiam; los dueños del show deciden utilizar ciertos trucos para atraer espectadores en vivo de la travesía, sin embargo después de la media noche las cosas comienzan a volverse escalofriantes.

No hay una frase muy especial que rememore de la película, los diálogos son muy prácticos y sencillos con la intención de hacer sentir al espectador a gusto y divertido, quizás con la intención de que lo expuesto sea auténtico, y es que el recurso tan conocido y trillado como lo es el found footage parece no irse más, es la idea más cercana para hacerle creer al televidente que lo que ocurre es real, aunque en el fondo sepas que no.

La película es de verdad para aquellos que aman este cine, que no les importa que vean mientras sea de terror; el film no es la peor opción ni de cerca, pero tampoco es algo que te vuele la cabeza, un viernes por la noche si no decides salir de casa, con unos aperitivos y todo bien oscuro, seguro para ti será algo bastante interesante, y aunque no abusan del gore un +14 es propicio para verla.

La producción tiene ciertos guiños o burlas al mundo del internet y las redes sociales en dónde el personaje obseso de obtener más seguidores en un canal de Youtube es el que lleva a todos al matadero, toda la película es una carga de tensión por algo que todos sabemos que va a suceder pero que tarda en llegar.

The production has certain winks or mockery to the world of the internet and social networks where the character obsessed with getting more followers on a Youtube channel is the one that leads everyone to the slaughterhouse, the whole film is a load of tension for something that we all know will happen but it takes time to arrive.

El trabajo de dirección estuvo decente, aunque como mencioné con anterioridad, la producción usó el edificio real del hospital psiquiátrico maldito de Gonjiam en Gwangju, Provincia de Gyeonggi, pero también gran parte de las escenas del film fueron realizadas en National Maritime High School en Busan en dónde recrearon con la mayor exactitud posible las zonas internas del hospital.
The directing work was decent, although as I mentioned earlier, the production used the actual building of the damned Gonjiam Psychiatric Hospital in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, but also most of the scenes of the film were shot at the National Maritime High School in Busan where they recreated as accurately as possible the internal areas of the hospital.

Es casi obvio el parecido que tiene con la película canadiense Grave Encounters, que he repetido unas dos o tres veces en mi vida pero que considero genera más auge psicológico y horror. Una idea lineal y común pero no voy a negar que bien trabajadas, lo suficiente para entretener, a unos más que a otros.

Para esta ocasión no me sentí inmersa en el film, un poco más de contexto e interacción emocional entre los personajes hubieran creado un mejor ambiente en general dando razones de ser y actuar, todo está tan lineal, tan lentamente directo al objetivo de morir por metiche que podría ser hasta aburrida. No me esperaba que no me gustara, ví a muchas personas hasta diciendo que se sentían "malditas" después de ver la película que es probable que haya tenido las expectativas demasiado altas, fue interesante pero pudo ser muchísimo mejor.
