Hello everyone, anime lovers, I challenge you to feel great today. This time I want to talk to you about an interesting series. I'm here to give you my opinion on the anime: Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens. Can you imagine a city where being a hitman isn't just a shady thing or a job that few people do, but is almost like a normal profession for a lot of people? From the first chapter, when I heard that idea, it caught me... it's just such a strange and different thing that it hooks you immediately with the disorder and moral confusion of the world they paint for you... from the beginning, the idea that in this city thugs walk the streets loose and that there is a group of detectives who not only catch thieves, but hunt these hitmen, seemed brutal to me.
But the best of all is that there is another group that is dedicated to killing the hitmen themselves! That extra twist gives the story a moral twist. It made me wonder what the heck justice means in a world where you don't know what's right and wrong... it's not something you see every day in anime, and it immediately reminded me of shows like Durarara!! and Bungo Stray Dogs, where the place where everything happens is almost as important as the characters. One of the strongest points for me, without a doubt, was the number of characters and how well-crafted they are. There's a hitman who's also a transvestite. It doesn't feel like something forced in, but rather a detail that fits the plot perfectly. We're talking about Japan. There's also Zenji Banba, a detective/hitman who loves ramen and baseball. He's a mysterious guy who seems to keep a lot of things to himself, and his calm manner, yet with his touches of humor, makes him super charismatic. Every time he talks about baseball, you feel like there's something more there, a hidden story that moves him.
Hola a todos, amantes del anime, reto que se encuentren genial el día de hoy, en esta ocasión les quiero hablar de una serie interesante, les vengo a dar mis opiniones del anime: Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens ¿Se imaginan una ciudad donde ser sicario no es solo una cosa turbia o un trabajito que pocos hacen, sino que es casi como una profesión normal para un montón de gente? Desde el primer capítulo, cuando escuché esa idea, me atrapó.. es que es una cosa tan rara y diferente que te engancha al toque con el desorden y lo confuso moralmente que es el mundo que te pintan.. desde el inicio, la idea de que en esta ciudad los matones anden sueltos por la calle y que haya un grupo de detectives que no solo agarran ladrones, sino que cazan a estos sicarios, me pareció brutal.
Pero lo mejor de todo es que hay otro grupo que se dedica a matar a los mismísimos sicarios! Ese giro adicional le da una vuelta de tuerca moral a la historia, a mí me hizo pensar qué rayos significa la justicia en un mundo donde no se sabe qué está bien y qué está mal.. no es algo que se vea todos los días en el anime, y al toque me hizo acordar a series como Durarara!! y Bungo Stray Dogs, donde el lugar donde pasa todo es casi tan importante como los personajes. Uno de los puntos más fuertes para mí, sin duda, fue la cantidad y lo bien hechos que están los personajes.. hay un sicario que también es travesti, no se siente como algo metido a la fuerza, sino que es un detalle que le queda perfecto a la trama, hablamos de Japón. También está Zenji Banba, un detective/sicario que le fascina el ramen y el béisbol, es un tipo misterioso que parece que se guarda un montón de cosas, y su forma de ser calmada, pero con sus puntazos de humor, lo hace súper carismático.. cada vez que habla de béisbol, uno siente que hay algo más ahí, una historia escondida que lo mueve.
Another thing that blew my mind was how they told the story... the series doesn't go in a straight line, but rather throws in a ton of flashbacks that little by little show you important things about the characters and why they do what they do. From the first episode, everything revolves around the death of a detective who at first seems to have committed suicide, but as things progress, you realize that there are a ton of weird stuff going on: politics, hidden murders, and a web of secrets that even the mayor is involved in! The best thing is how the characters intersect without you expecting it, creating a story where everything fits together perfectly.
Now, to be honest, I have to say that sometimes the series stumbles a bit with the pace... there are parts where the story moves very quickly and others where it seems to take its time to fully immerse you in the characters and their world. Personally, it didn't bother me too much because it made the series better able to show how the protagonists think, but I understand that for some it may feel a bit slow at times... it's one of those anime where sometimes you think "Okay, I want to know what's going to happen next!" but at the same time you enjoy it when the waters calm down and you get more context for the story. Aside from Banba and the transvestite hitman, the secondary characters are also a gem... there's a hacker who gives a more technological touch to the plot, which is great for a detective anime these days, and I can't forget the "Avengers" duo, two characters with such a strange vibe that they give the series a fresh and fun touch. Even though the anime is somewhat dark, these moments of laughter and good vibes keep it from becoming too heavy or depressing.
Otra cosa que me dejó loco fue cómo contaron la historia.. la serie no va así como en línea recta, sino que te mete un montón de flashbacks que dé a poquito te van mostrando cosas importantes de los personajes y por qué hacen lo que hacen, desde el primer capítulo, todo gira alrededor de la muerte de un detective que al principio parece que se suicidó, pero a medida que avanza la cosa, te das cuenta de que hay un montón de movidas raras: cosas de política, asesinatos escondidos y una telaraña de secretos que hasta el alcalde está metido! Lo mejor es cómo los personajes se cruzan sin que te lo esperes, armando una historia donde todo calza perfecto.
Ahora, siendo sincero, tengo que decir que a veces la serie va un poco a los tumbos con el ritmo.. hay partes donde la historia avanza rapidísimo y otras donde parece que se toma su tiempo para meterte de lleno en los personajes y su mundo, a mí en lo personal no me molestó mucho porque eso hizo que la serie pudiera mostrar mejor cómo piensan los protagonistas, pero entiendo que para algunos quizás se sienta un poco lenta en algunos momentos.. es de esos animes que a veces piensas “¡Ya, quiero saber qué va a pasar!”, pero al mismo tiempo disfrutas cuando se calman las aguas y te dan más contexto de la historia. Aparte de Banba y el sicario travesti, los personajes secundarios también son una joya.. hay un hacker que le da un toque más tecnológico a la trama, lo cual le viene genial a un anime de detectives en estos tiempos, y no puedo olvidarme del dúo de los "Vengadores", dos personajes con una onda tan rara que le dan a la serie un toque fresco y divertido. A pesar de que el anime es medio oscuro, estos momentos de risa y buena onda evitan que se ponga demasiado pesado o deprimente.

It has that noir vibe, like old movies, with dark alleys and characters who are neither good nor bad, but they also throw in brutal action scenes and moments that make you laugh out loud, it's like watching a detective movie, but with touches of buddy cop comedy... plus, there are moments that really touch your soul! Just when you think it's all gunfire and mystery, they throw in a scene that touches your heart and reminds you that these characters are real people, with sad stories and very strong personal reasons.
There was one scene in particular that left me in shock, in a flashback, they show you something from a character's past that completely changes your perspective… I felt everything at once—sadness, wonder, even nostalgia. It's rare that an anime connects you that quickly, but this one did it wonderfully. But I have to tell you about the ending... I'm not going to spoil anything for you, don't worry, but the season finale left me with strange feelings... it's one of those open endings that tells you there's going to be more, which is cool, but it also leaves you hanging because there are so many questions in the air. It's not a bad ending at all, but it does leave you wanting more, but after several years, I don't think they'll release a second season.
Otro punto a favor es cómo mezclan los géneros! Tiene esa onda noir, así como de pelis antiguas, con callejones oscuros y personajes que no son ni buenos ni malos, pero también te meten escenas de acción brutales y momentos que te hacen reír a carcajadas, es como ver una peli de detectives, pero con toques de comedia de amigos policías.. además, hay momentos que te llegan al alma, de verdad! Cuando crees que es solo disparos y misterio, te sueltan una escena que te toca el corazón y te acuerda que estos personajes son personas de verdad, con historias tristes y razones personales muy fuertes.
Hubo una escena en particular que me dejó en shock, en un flashback, te muestran algo del pasado de un personaje que te cambia la perspectiva por completo.. sentí de todo a la vez—tristeza, asombro, hasta nostalgia, es raro que un anime te conecte así de rápido, pero este lo hizo de maravilla. Pero tengo que hablarles del final.. no les voy a spoilear nada, tranquilos, pero el cierre de temporada me dejó con sensaciones raras.. es de esos finales abiertos que te dicen que habrá más, lo cual es chévere, pero también te deja picado porque quedan muchas preguntas en el aire, no es un final malo, para nada, pero sí te deja con ganas de más, pero luego de varios años, no creo que saquen segunda temporada..
Who do I recommend this anime to? Easy, anyone who likes action with a little something different, if you're one of those who enjoy anime with a ton of varied characters, stories with mystery and unexpected moments of laughter, give it a chance! It's a story that turns your expectations upside down... I confess something, at first I didn't expect much, I thought it would be just another hitman anime and that's it, nothing new... but I was really surprised by how the series plays with ideas, mixing action, comedy and mystery in a way that really works... I even laughed at times I didn't expect, it's those little details that give life to the series and make it special.
But what I liked the most was how it makes you think about morality and identity... in a city where killing is just another job, every character has their own idea of right and wrong... it made me think: "What would I do if I lived in a world where every decision could be the difference between living or dying?"... although the anime doesn't give you easy answers, it does leave you thinking a lot of things even after you finish it. If I had to give it a grade, I'd give it an 8/10, it's not perfect—the pacing is sometimes lumpy and the open ending might not appeal to some—but the creativity, how they develop the characters and the world they created are so good that they make it stand out. it's a series that takes risks and does different things in a genre that sometimes gets repetitive, so tell me, have you watched this series? ¿A quién le recomiendo este anime? Fácil, a cualquiera que le guste la acción con saborcito diferente, si eres de los que disfrutan los animes con un montón de personajes variados, historias con misterio y momentos de risa inesperados, dale una oportunidad! Es una historia que te voltea las expectativas.. les confieso algo, al principio no esperaba mucho, pensé que sería otro anime más de sicarios y ya, sin nada nuevo.. pero me sorprendió un montón cómo la serie juega con las ideas, mezclando acción, comedia y misterio de una forma que de verdad funciona.. hasta me reí en momentos que no esperaba, son esos pequeños detalles los que le dan vida a la serie y la hacen especial.
Pero lo que más me gustó fue cómo te pone a pensar sobre la moral y la identidad.. en una ciudad donde matar es un trabajo más del montón, cada personaje tiene su propia idea de lo que está bien y mal.. a mí me hizo pensar: “¿Qué haría yo si viviera en un mundo donde cada decisión puede ser la diferencia entre vivir o morir?”.. aunque el anime no te da respuestas fáciles, sí te deja pensando un montón de cosas incluso después de que lo terminas. Si tuviera que ponerle nota, le daría un 8/10, no es perfecto—el ritmo a veces va a los tumbos y el final abierto puede que a algunos no les guste—pero la creatividad, cómo desarrollan los personajes y el mundo que crearon son tan buenos que lo hacen destacar.. es una serie que se arriesga y hace cosas distintas en un género que a veces se pone repetitivo, así que díganme, vieron esta serie? Que harían en un mundo donde se permite matar? Si se animan a verlo, prepárense para una experiencia caótica, emocionante y llena de sorpresas..
