   HAVOC 2025 - It's Just a Bullet...Lots of Bullets

   Let's be honest. If you go to the cinema to see Havoc 2025 expecting a narrative masterpiece or some plot that will make your mind work, you're in the wrong movie. Here, the script is not a skeleton; it's a launch pad. A rocket with the words MAXIMUM ACTION written on it in lame letters: NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

   The synopsis? It's a joke. A drug deal has gone bad, and that's the excuse. An excuse to start the chaos. It's not a story. It's just a map with red dots where the maximum fight has to come. That detective? He's a guy who doesn't die and who has to run non-stop. It doesn't matter if he uncovers conspiracies or networks of corruption. All that is just background noise, the pretext for the next gun scene.

   I don't think there was a single scene in this movie where anyone pulled the trigger. This movie doesn't shoot normally. Bullets are pouring out. If it weren't for Tom Hardy and Timothy Olyphant. They're the mood-boosters you take to keep your nerves from the lack of a script.

   Hardy grunts, looks tired, and is lethal. He's a presence. Olyphant comes across as a don't-care-me face, but they still make it concrete. The two of them make those scenes with banal dialogue bearable. They manage to turn a movie heist into a show of strength, just through their charisma. Seriously, with their faces, i'd watch a blockbuster.

   Verdict: Havoc 2025 is for Sunday nights when you want to blow your brains out and just watch pure, unadulterated action. It's not smart. It's not deep. It's just an action bomb that decided that in 2025, the only thing that matters is not running out of ammo. It served its purpose.

   It's a bad movie, with over-the-top action. It's way too much, it's over-the-top, it's absurd. But i guess that's really its purpose. It's an adrenaline rush, a bullet-filled blast designed to shut down your brain. And on that front, it's a solid hit. It leaves you exhausted and a little deaf.

   What a disappointment I saw over the weekend and it was Havoc, starring Tom Hardy alongside Timothy Olyphant and Forest Whitaker, I was expecting it to be Gareth Evans' triumphant return to the action genre after how great The Raid and The Raid 2 were, but instead it feels more like a parody than a serious movie. The story feels forced and the characters act like they are reading the script for the first time, I like Tom Hardy a lot even though he is sometimes very overacted but here he didn't even pull here, he didn't get to save this mess. The movie is about a corrupt detective who must find the son of a corrupt politician after he gets in trouble, although it may sound interesting it's like the same old same old and also the execution is so bad it makes you laugh and the special effects are so fake they look like something out of a 90's movie hehehehe I'm not kidding and I'm not exaggerating. The chase sequences are completely computer generated and you can tell from the first second, I think Gareth Evans lost the magic touch he had when he was filming in Indonesia with smaller budgets but with much more creativity and passion.

   

   Que decepción más grande vi el fin de semana y fue Havoc, protagonizada Tom Hardy junto a Timothy Olyphant y Forest Whitaker, yo me esperaba que fuera el regreso triunfal de Gareth Evans al género de acción después de lo grandiosas que fueron The Raid y The Raid 2, pero en lugar de eso parece más una parodia que una película seria. La historia se siente forzada y los personajes actúan como si estuvieran leyendo el guión por primera vez, a mí me gusta mucho Tom Hardy aunque a veces es muy sobreactuado pero aquí ni siquiera jaló aquí, no llegó a salvar este desastre. La peli trata sobre un detective corrupto que debe encontrar al hijo de un político también corrupto después de que este se meta en problemas, aunque puede sonar interesante es como lo mismo de siempre y también la ejecución es tan mala que te da risa y los efectos especiales son tan falsos que parecen sacados de una película de los años 90 jejeje no es broma ni estoy exagerando. Las secuencias de persecución están completamente generadas por computadora y se nota desde el primer segundo, creo que Gareth Evans perdió el toque mágico que tenía cuando filmaba en Indonesia con presupuestos más pequeños pero con mucha más creatividad y pasión.

   The acting in general is pretty null, even actors that are normally good like Forest Whitaker seem to be there just for the payoff and although Tom Hardy tries to give life to the character the script doesn't give him much to pull from, Detective Walker is the typical cop with family problems and a shady past that we have seen a thousand times before this is already trite, Timothy Olyphant is completely wasted in a role that any actor could have done, the chemistry between the characters is nowhere to be seen, I don't know what the fuck happened to them and the dialogues sound forced. At several points my husband and I laughed because the performances were so bad that they sounded like comedy sketches although he told me that at least Hardy wasn't overacting as usual, it's just that the role didn't give him enough for that hehe. I think the problem is that Evans focused on making everything bigger and more spectacular that he forgot the basics which is to tell a good story with believable characters, the action scenes that should be the strong point of the film are ruined by the excess of computer and the lack of looking real, I remember that in The Raid every hit looked real here everything looks fake. Besides that it bores you at the beginning I was struggling not to fall asleep because it takes almost an hour to get to the first important action sequence and when it finally arrives it is not worth the wait, I think if I had fallen asleep I would not have missed anything, I would have understood the movie without asking what happened.

   

   La actuación en general es bastante nula, incluso actores que normalmente son buenos como Forest Whitaker parecen estar ahí solo por el pago y aunque Tom Hardy intenta darle vida al personaje el guión no le da mucho de donde sacar, el detective Walker es el típico policía con problemas familiares y un pasado turbio que hemos visto mil veces antes esto ya está trillado, Timothy Olyphant está completamente desperdiciado en un papel que cualquier actor pudo haber hecho, la química entre los personajes no se ve por ningún lado, no sé que carajos les pasó y los diálogos suenan forzados. En varios momentos mi esposo y yo nos reímos porque las actuaciones eran tan malas que parecían sketches de comedia aunque el me dijo que por lo menos Hardy no estaba sobreactuando como siempre, es que el papel no le dio para eso jeje. Yo creo que el problema está en que Evans se enfocó en hacer todo más grande y espectacular que se olvidó de lo básico que es contar una buena historia con personajes creíbles, las escenas de acción que deberían ser el punto fuerte de la película están arruinadas por el exceso de computadora y la falta de que se vea real, recuerdo que en The Raid cada golpe se veía real aquí todo se ve falso. Además que te aburre al principio estaba lcuhando por no quedarme dormida porque tarda casi una hora en llegar a la primera secuencia de acción importante y cuando finalmente llega no vale la pena la espera, creo que si me hubiese dormido no me hubiese perdido nada, igualk hubiese entendido la película sin preguntar qué pasó.

   The scenes you can tell they are computer animated and so blatant, it looks like they purposely made it look like a cheap video game, the car chase sequences are bad, the explosions are also fake and the lighting is also a problem with many dark scenes that it is difficult to see what is happening, more during the fights.    There are moments where the characters literally explain the plot as if we were idiots and the movie also kind of suffers from tone problems because sometimes it seems to be a serious drama and other times an over the top action movie, in the end it's something that doesn't please you. After watching The Raid yop I was expecting some well done fight scenes not this thing that looked like I was watching the Batman and Robin cartoon when I was little they put the sound of the punch on screen. I really like detective movies and I wanted an interesting story but Havoc didn't do it, no good fights or anything, it's mediocre in every aspect and it doesn't look like a movie made by a talented director.

   

   Hay momentos donde los personajes literalmente explican la trama como si fuéramos unos idiotas y la película también como que sufre problemas de tono porque unas veces parece ser un drama serio y otras una película de acción exagerada, al final es algo que no te complace. Después de ver The Raid yop me esperaba unas escenas de pelea bien hechas no esto que pareciera que estuviera viendo la caricatura de Batman y Robin cuando estaba pequeña que ponían el sonido del golpe en pantalla. Me gusta mucho las películas de detectives y quería una historia interesante pero Havoc no lo logró, ni peleas buenas ni nada, es mediocre en todos los aspectos y no parece una película hecha por un director talentoso.

   I must say for me Havoc is a disappointment that wastes the talent of all the actors and even the director himself, I find it hard to believe that the same director who made The Raid made this movie I don't know if Evans got lost in the Hollywood system and forgot his essence because the movie is not terrible. My score is 5.5/10, some action moments are saved and Tom Hardy tries to get his paws out of the mud, but overall I didn't like it and I was left hoping to see something better, the ending is also predictable, I knew what was going to happen because one as a parent always gives everything for the children. Netflix relied on Evans and the actors but did not invest in a solid script and the result is an empty movie with no purpose, I do not recommend it Havoc I think there are better options on Netflix and I found it a shame because I was expecting Evans to come back strong after so many years, this movie shows that talent is not enough if you don't have a good story to tell.

   When it comes to action scenes, I tend to think of exaggerated scenes, and since I mention this every chance I get, I still enjoy such scenes even if they are taken to the extreme.    Hoy en día hay un término muy usado que es el "aura" el cual hace alusión a características de magnificencia de algo o alguien. Hay actores que para un tipo de papel determinado tienen ese "aura" y en este caso me refiero a Tom Hardy. En estos momentos estoy viendo una serie llamada "Mobland" en donde él es el protagonista y su personaje es una especie de "fixer" de una familia. En este film hace de un policía pero con tendencia a arreglar los desastres de ciertas personas también. A lo mejor en cuanto a interpretación sea muy parecida pero eso no le quita lo bueno que es para actuarlas y llevarlas a cabo. Una historia de drogas, policías corruptos y la mafia china, que podría salir mal?.

   La cosa es que a medida que se va hundiendo cada vez más en este conflicto se va dando cuenta que ciertos policías, muy conocidos por él, también están muy involucrados en estas movidas. Como están leyendo la trama de la película es simple y básica: hay droga de por medio y hay muertos, hay que descubrir quién hizo qué cosa, ya está. Lo primero que llama mucho la atención es la intensidad y el grado de acción que tiene este film, pero es que desde el primer minuto, literalmente, ya estamos sumergidos en una persecución en donde los carros van más rápido de lo normal (eso es raro) pero que igualmente no deja de sorprender. Creo que cuando las películas no son tan profundas tienen que compensar con algo y en este caso lo hicieron con sus escenas de acción.

Hay una en particular que se da dentro de un club nocturno que es una locura, tiene de todo: golpes, disparos, bates, cuchillos, cualquier cantidad de objetos cortantes, artes marciales y muertos, muchísimos muertos. Es un film muy gráfico y vistoso porque esas escenas te hipnotizan, no puedes dejar de verlas porque si lo haces te vas a perder de algo, son muchas cosas las que están pasando en tan poco tiempo. Es muy fácil, según yo, que estas cosas salgan mal porque al final todo es una coreografía y como tal hay que aprendérsela. Pues acá todos los actores y dobles hicieron la tarea porque de verdad el gran atractivo de este film son estas escenas.

   Speaking of these scenes, I personally found them incredible. There is one in particular that takes place inside a nightclub that is crazy, it has everything: blows, gunshots, bats, knives, any number of sharp objects, martial arts and dead people, lots of dead people. It's a very graphic and eye-catching film because those scenes hypnotize you, you can't stop watching them because if you do you're going to miss something, there are so many things going on in such a short time. It is very easy, according to me, that these things go wrong because in the end everything is a choreography and as such you have to learn it.    Pero claro, todo esto tiene que venir acompañado de mucha violencia para que funcione. El film es ultra violento y es de esos en donde los litros de sangre salen de los cuerpos con una facilidad abismal. Me gusta esto, es llamativo y vende mejor las escenas. Hay muchos disparos, si, pero también hay muertes de diversas formas que ayuda a que sea más impresionante a la vista. La película no aburre, es perfecta para pasar el rato, el 70% es acción pura. Que si el guión tiene unos vacíos por ahí, que si no es creíble a veces, puede ser. Pero el fin no es hacer una película realista, el fin es entretener.

   Tom Hardy lo hace bien, como ya les comenté estos papeles les queda como anillo al dedo. A nivel actoral no es de un Oscar pero la interpretación del tipo duro está lograda. Hay algo curioso y es que una de las asesinas de la mafia china es Michelle Waterson, una ex UFC. Ella da una de las mejores peleas de la película. De resto nada destacable, el propio Forest Whitaker no aparece mucho por lo que no habría mucho que decir de él. Yo la recomiendo, me gustó mucho a pesar de la mala crítica que está teniendo. Le doy un 7.5/10. Está en Netflix y dura poco menos de dos horas. Les dejo el tráiler por acá.

Por eso en las distintas plataformas en especial en Netflix se estrenó una hace poco, la cual no ha tenido una buena aceptación por parte de los espectadores con varias críticas, sin embargo, en ella podemos notar una gran combinación de elementos y una trama que nos llevará a ver cómo un mundo donde la corrupción y policías toman el control de todo y no habrá nadie que los detenga.

   Esta nueva entrega es conocida como Havoc, la cual fue una sorpresa para muchos y es la continuación de otras películas de acción por el mismo hecho de mantear un par de secuencia y actores que han estado allí dejando todo para así poder poner todo a salvo. Esta vez veremos un mundo lleno de criminales que están involucrados con drogas y ese tipo de situaciones donde se tiene que tomar las mejores decisiones y pensar muy bien que se hará para así no cometer errores, además estará en juego la vida de uno de los hijos de un político muy importante y es aquí donde comienza la verdadera emoción y adrenalina de esta gran entrega y nos preguntamos ¿Podrán rescatarlo?, El plan funcionará? Y muchas otras cosas al ver una gran batalla.

   Este director logró recrear algo muy bueno y desde ese primer instante se puede notar muy buena acción, donde poco a poco nos vamos dando cuenta todas las cosas malas que se pueden mover detrás de ese mundo de las drogas y esto es algo que ha existido desde muchos años y siempre ha sido un gran dolor de cabeza para las policías, además ver esto en las películas es algo de gran impacto por el mismo hecho de qué hay mucho dinero por el medio. Más allá de eso la película va tomando un buen ritmo que nos lleva a seguir disfrutando y poco a poco va saliendo ciertos detalles que permite ir resolviendo todo un caso y de esa manera la película esté cargada de mucha acción y disparos, y es aquí donde entre los efectos especiales de todo la trama para que sea de gran calidad.

Por lo tanto, esta vez será el encargado de poder rescatar a dicha personas y tener que eliminar a todos los enemigos que se encuentren por el miedo y lo mejor de todo esto es que ninguna bala le hace efecto y por eso se considera que es invencible para así poder exagerar un poco este tipo de películas de acción. Como también tiene varios enemigos que le aporta mucho valor a la entrega y permite crear esas cortas batallas donde las balas y la sangre serán toda una locura en la película.

   It is a great movie and I really thought it was incredible and at the same time interesting how they approached the whole subject, since in the end corruption and drug trafficking have always existed and that is a very dangerous world, something that we will not know when it will stop. Beyond that it is a good production that allows you to enjoy good action and see something different on that platform from what we are used to seeing, since this type of genre has to be done very well, otherwise it will be just another copy of a movie. So folks, if you're looking for something to watch don't pass up Havoc.

   Es una gran película y de verdad que me pareció increíble y a la vez interesante cómo abordaron todo el tema, ya que a la final la corrupción y el tráfico de drogas siempre han existido y ese es un mundo muy peligroso, algo que no sabremos cuando se detendrá. Más allá de eso es una buena producción que permite disfrutar de buena acción y ver algo distinto en dicha plataforma de la que estamos acostumbrados a ver, ya que este tipo de géneros se tiene que hacer muy bien, si no será una copia más de película. Así que amigos, si buscas algo para ver no dejes pasar Havoc.

   I haven't been shy about how disappointing Netflix movies are to me in the past. They're the complete opposite of their shows, which are usually pretty good. The movies, on the other hand, really leave a lot to be desired. Recently, "Havoc" came out, and it's number one on Netflix's charts in a lot of countries, which is understandable since the platform doesn't have much good to offer when it comes to movies. Personally, I was drawn to watch it because Tom Hardy is the lead. He's usually associated with good action projects, and the name – when I was younger, I used the word "Havoc" as a handle in a lot of video games.

   En el pasado no he ocultado lo decepcionante que son para mi las peliculas de Netflix, son todo lo contrario a sus series que si tiene un buen nivel, en cambio las películas dejan mucho que desear. Recientemente se estrenó Havoc, esta de numero uno en la lista de Netflix de muchos paises, lo cual es entendible porque la plataforma no tiene nada bueno que ofrecer en cuanto a películas. Personalmente me atrojo verla por ser Tom Hardy el protagonista, porque normalmente se asocia con proyectos de acción buenos, y el nombre, cuando era mas joven utilice la palabra Havoc como seudónimo en muchos videojuegos.

   

   There's not a whole lot to say about the movie. It's exactly what the trailer promises: pure, raw violence, knife fights, hand-to-hand combat, and a ton of shootouts. As for the story, I was excited at first. I thought it would be one of those complex police thrillers, but no dice. It's about a corrupt cop played by Tom Hardy who's involved with powerful people in the city's criminal underworld. But it seems like he wants to redeem himself for his past mistakes and sees an opportunity when he has to save the city's mob boss's son, who got mixed up with the Chinese mafia.

   No hay mucho que decir en cuanto a la película, es lo que promete cuando ves su tráiler, violencia pura y cruda, enfrentamientos a cuchillo, peleas cuerpo a cuerpo y muchos tiroteos. En cuanto a la historia, al principio me emocionó, pensé que seria uno de esos thriller policiacos complejos, pero nada que ver, se trata de un policía corrupto interpretado por tom Hardy que está involucrado con personas poderosas del mundo delictivo de la ciudad, pero al parecer quiere redimirse de sus errores del pasado y ve la oportunidad al tener que salvar al hijo del mafiosos de la ciudad que se involucró con la mafia china.

   

   There's not much more to add. Nothing goes as I expected, and everything ends in pure violence. I will say that Hardy does an excellent job with that. Like I said at the beginning, this guy shines in action movies. Plus, the scenes are really well done. At times, I felt like I was watching one of the "Kill Bill" movies. The timing is great; they're frantic and impactful because of how brutal they can be, but you still notice it's fiction. The hand-to-hand combat is good. Like I said, it still feels like fiction, but it's fun and entertaining. I think that's the only real plus for the movie.

   No hay mucho que decir adicionalmente, nada sale como esperaba y todo termina en violencia pura, en esto si puedo resaltar que Hardy lo hace excelente, como les decía al principio, este tipo brilla en la peliculas de accion, ademas las escenas son muy buenas, por momentos me sentí viendo una de las peliculas del Kill Bill, el timing es muy bueno, son frenéticas e impactantes por lo crudas que pueden ser pero igual no dejas de notar que es ficción. El combate cuerpo a cuerpo es bueno, como dije no deja de parecer ficción pero es divertido y entretenido, creo que es el único punto a favor de la película.

   

   Now, this is the kind of movie where things happen fast. The events keep changing, and at times it can overwhelm you because there's no breather. But if you like that, then this movie is for you because it's a clear shot of adrenaline in every action scene for almost two hours. The bad thing is that the script is pretty mediocre. There's nothing police thriller-ish about it. The movie is predictable from start to finish. You quickly get a sense of what's going to happen. But that's not necessarily a bad thing because it's clear it was made purely for entertainment, with a top-notch cast. The actors are A-list, but their talent was wasted here.

   Ahora bien, este es tun tipo de película donde las cosas ocurren rápidamente, no dejan de cambiar de acontecimientos y por momento te puede abrumar porque no hay respiro, pero si eso te gusta, esta pelicula es para ti, porque es una clara dosis de adrenalina que descargar en cada escena de acción durante las casi dos horas que dura la película. Lo malo es que el guión es bastante mediocre, acá no hay nada de thriller policial, la película es predecible de principio a fin, uno intuye rápidamente que va a pasar, pero eso no esta mal porque es claro que fue hecha como mero entretenimiento, de la mano de un reparto de altura, los actores son de primero pero acá se desaprovechó su talento.

   Greetings everyone, here's a movie option if you want something entertaining and action-packed.

   This option is on Netflix, and I thought it was pretty good. I decided to watch it myself because the main character is Tom Hardy, and I like the way he works. I feel like he makes a great contribution with his presence.

   Saludos a todos, por aquí les traigo una opción de película por si quieren ver algo para entretenerse y que tenga bastante acción.

   Esta opción está en Netflix y me pareció que está bastante bien. Tomé la decisión de verla personalmente porque el personaje principal es Tom Hardy y a mi me gusta como trabaja él, yo siento que hace un gran aporte con su presencia.

   I'm a big fan of action movies, and I think this one is good. Let's talk a little about what it's about.

   We have Patrick Walker's character as a detective. Unfortunately, he's a corrupt cop, as he gets involved in a drug case that no one would want to be involved in.

   Yo soy muy fan de las películas de acción y creo que esta está bien, hablemos un poco de que trata.

   Tenemos al personaje de Patrick Walker como un detective, lamentablemente es una policia corrupto ya que se ve envuelto en un tema de drogas donde nadie quisiera estar metido.

   The thing is, the plot is based on a failed drug robbery. The whole thing spirals into complete disaster, and in the middle of it all, Patrick is on a mission to save a politician's son, as this boy seems to be involved in all of this along with his girlfriend.

   This is a completely action-packed movie, I'd say, as it escalates more and more in the scenes. It moves at a pace as Patrick uncovers just how much corruption there is and who's involved in this world. To no one's surprise, this always escalates to the powerful.

   La cosa es que la trama se basa en un robo fallido de drogas, todo esto cae en un completo desastre y en medio de todo esto Patrick tiene la misión de salvar al hijo de un político, pues este chico parece estar envuelto en todo esto junto con su novia.

   Esta es una película completamente de acción diría yo, ya que cada vez escala más y más en las escenas, va al ritmo en el que Patrick va descubriendo cuanta corrupción y quienes están involucrado en este mundo y para sorpresa de nadie obviamente esto siempre escala hasta los poderosos.

   Here you'll really find intense action, brutality, gunfire, a bit of hand-to-hand combat, and at one point it even feels like you're in a game. There was a scene where the enemies kept coming, and it reminded me of several games where I get really frustrated because I kill one and like 5 more arrive. Well, that's exactly what it is. It also criticizes corruption, especially the kind that develops within an institution, and it seems that many people are starting to see it as something normalized. We have multiple examples in this film, but to name a fairly simple one, it's the protection that some police officers provide to criminals, corrupt politicians, etc. Ultimately, I do think this film deserves a chance, despite its current ratings; if your intention is to be entertained, it's fine.

   Realmente aquí vas a encontrar acción intensa, vas a encontrar brutalidad, disparos, un poco de combate cuerpo a cuerpo y hasta en un punto pareciera que estuvieras en un juego. Hubo una escena donde los enemigos no dejaban de venir y recordó a varios juegos donde yo me frustro mucho porque mató a 1 y llegan como 5 más, bueno, así mismo. También hace la critica hacia la corrupción, especialmente a esa que se forma dentro de una institución y parece que muchas personas empiezan a verlo como algo normalizado, tenemos múltiples ejemplos en esta película pero para nombrar uno bastante sencillo es la protección que algunos policías le brindan a criminales, políticos corruptos, etc. En fin, sí creo que está película merece una oportunidad, a pesar del rating que tiene actualmente, si tu intención es entretenerte, está bien.

9. ›Havoc: No Law... Only a Terrible Movie@hanshotfirst425d

   Yesterday I wrote about how excited I was to see Gareth Evans “new” movie Havoc. All I needed to see was that the Welsh writer and director of The Raid: Redemption had a new movie and I was in. I am so glad I watched it! (I’m also very, very, very sorry to all of you.)

   

   Was I so happy because I loved the movie and can’t wait to see it over and over? Oh god no! This movie was horrendous! I’m just glad I get a chance to prove that I don’t love every movie I see and I can actually be critical when a movie is complete garbage. And Havoc is complete garbage.

   Before getting so excited, I wish I had done a little research. Then I would have discovered that this film actually wrapped up shooting way back in 2021. It was delayed by the need for significant re-shoots. Uh oh. 99% of the time “re-shoots” means the producers are trying to salvage a dumpster fire. And that is clearly what happened here.

   Aside from a 10 minute action sequence in a nightclub about half way through the movie, there is not a single redeeming quality of this film. That scene involved cool music, great fight choreography and the wide shot action sequences I expected of the entire movie. As soon as the scene was nearing an end I thought, “Ok. This is where it gets going…” And then it came to an abrupt halt.

   The first 45 minutes leading up to this club scene was boring and tedious. I personally HATE car chase scenes (the one exception is in The Bourne Identity because he actually checks a map during the chase). I feel I always know how they will end so I practically want to fast forward to the culmination of the good guy escaping or bad guy getting caught. Havoc opens with a cliche, boring and completely implausible car chase scene. Oh wait. No. It is a semi-truck chase scene. I have no idea what universe this movie takes place in but it is clearly one where the police have no helicopters and satellites don’t exist. The police are chasing a freaking SEMI-TRUCK down the highway. What laws of physics would allow a semi-truck to escape? Luckily for the driver and passenger of said truck, the laws of physics clearly do not apply in the world of Havoc.

   After the boring chase scene, there is an incredibly bloody gun battle that includes absolutely nothing new or memorable. It seems Evans leaned on violence and gore as a crutch for the fact that there was a terrible plot and an almost complete lack of the awe-inspiring fight choreography I was expecting. People’s heads get shot and explode with cartoon like blood and gore. I’m not sure how many gallons of BRIGHT red corn syrup were sacrificed in order to make this movie, but I’m guessing it was almost as much pink paint was needed for The Barbie Movie (which was SENSATIONAL by the way).

   Then it is time for some “character development”. There is not a single likes character in the entire movie. They aren’t even anti-heroes. They are all just assholes or over zealous rookie cops who are very quick to break every rule and risk their lives for a dirty cop they just met that day. There is not a single character to root for in any way at all.

   It seems that Evans was banking on the final action-packed act to carry the entire movie. The only problem is that the action was just flat out dumb. Again he relied on gruesome death and dismemberment scene rather that excellent choreography and originality.

   

   A couple of guarantees: 1. Everyone who shoots at her will miss. 2. She will miss no one.

   Now here is the worst part. Remember how I said that the world of Havoc does not need to obey the laws of physics? I have never seen a more ridiculous display of marksmanship…. And I’m a fan of Star Wars where Storm Troopers can’t hit shit!

   There are multiple scenes where 1 “good guy” is up against 50 (and I’m not exaggerating) “bad guys. The bad guys have machine guns and all 50 managed to miss our “heroes” with every single shot. And then the hero mows down all 50 with one or 2 squeezes of their trigger. I have heard of “plot armor” before but this was simply at another level. I realize I need a heaping scoop of suspension of disbelief when I am watching The Raid, Daredevil, and especially Banshee, but this movie tapped my supply about 20 minutes in. I simply could not possibly suspend my disbelief enough to not roll my eyes when a bad cop surrounded by about 20 guys is able to wrestle a firearm away form the boss.

   This movie was so graphic and unpleasant that I can’t even put it into the “so bad its funny” category.

   Back in the day, when I used to go to industrial clubs, the DJ would show movies without sound on the tv screens at the bar. Because there is no need to pay attention to this, perhaps this movie would be suited to be watched while doing shots while waiting for a song you like to come on. But you’d need to build a time machine in order to do that. And if you have one, it would be a better use of it to go back in time and not watch this movie.

   I apologize to anyone who watched this because I mentioned it. I wish I could give you your time back.
