I love anime and since I was little I have always seen some movies or series but, of the first series I remember I think it is in turn the memory of everyone because it was a very popular series and is based on a homonymous book (which I also read and I am grateful for this because this way I can make a comparison) I refer of course to Heidi, a series of the kodomo genre, but although it is basically aimed at a child audience, it still has a lot of depth.

A mi me encanta el anime y desde pequeña siempre he visto alguna película o serie pero, de las primeras series que recuerdo creo que es a su vez el recuerdo de todo el mundo porque fue una serie bastante popular y está basada en un libro homónimo (el cual también leí y me siento agradecida pro esto porque de esta manera puedo hacer una comparación) Me refiero desde luego a Heidi, una serie del género kodomo, pero aunque está dirigida básicamente a un publico infantil, no deja de tener mucha profundidad.

Heidi is a little girl who lives with her aunt Dete and her grandmother, however at some point, Dete gets a good job as a maid in the big German city of Frankfurt, but as the girl gets in her way she decides to travel to the Alps to leave her in charge of her paternal grandfather. Mr. Tobias was known by everyone in the village as “the old man of the Alps” and had a reputation for being a curmudgeon, however, when he meets Heidi, although he questions Dete for deliberately leaving her with him, he soon gets caught by the girl's personality, and it is not long before he loves her with all his heart. The grandfather instructs the little girl in farm work, respects her free spirit, and in this way she strikes up a great friendship with Pedro, the village shepherd boy, and always accompanies him to the mountains to graze the goats. However, at some point in her life Aunt Dete returns, and under false pretenses takes Heidi to Frankfurt, leaving the grandfather alone. Dete's purpose was to leave Heidi at the home of her employers' friends, as a lady-in-waiting for Clara, a 12-year-old invalid and lonely girl. Heidi cries and suffers for being away from her grandfather, the mountains and the animals, but in Frankfurt she also learns a lot and mainly she gets a great friendship with Clara.
Heidi es una niña pequeña que vive con su tía Dete y su abuela, no obstante en algún momento, Dete consigue un buen empleo como criada en la gran ciudad alemana de Frankfurt, pero como la niña le estorba decide viajar a los Alpes para dejarla a cargo de su abuelo paterno. El señor Tobías era conocido por todos en el pueblo como "el viejo de los Alpes" y tenía fama de ser un cascarrabias, sin embargo, cuando conoce a Heidi, si bien cuestiona a Dete por dejarla deliberadamente con él, pronto se deja atrapar por la personalidad de la niña, y no pasa mucho tiempo para que ya la ame con todo su corazón. El abuelo instruye a la pequeña en las labores del campo, respeta su espíritu libre y de esta manera ella entabla una gran amistad con Pedro, el pastorcito del pueblo, y siempre lo acompaña a las montañas para que las cabras pastes. Sin embargo, en algún punto de su vida la tía Dete regresa, y bajo engaños se lleva a Heidi a Frankfurt, dejando al abuelo solo. El objetivo de Dete era dejar a Heidi en casa de los amigos de sus patrones, en calidad de dama de compañía de Clara, una niña de 12 años, inválida y solitaria. Heidi llora y sufre por estar alejada de su abuelo, las montañas y los animales, pero en Frankfurt obtiene también muchos aprendizajes y principalmente consigue una gran amistad en Clara.

This is a very old series but it is still a classic, my mom saw it, my sister who is 10 years older than me saw it, I saw it and the generations of today will continue to see this beautiful series, and no matter the time in which you see it is inevitable to fill you with nostalgia. It is a series full of innocence, it is a story full of learning but mainly we see the value of gratitude and humility, Heidi is a happy girl in the Alps, with a very modest life, in fact she slept in a totally handmade bed, made with straw and cloth from old sacks, they only ate bread and cheese and goat milk, but for her that was paradise, as long as she had Pedro, Pedro's grandmother and her own grandfather with her she was very happy. She is a noble and selfless character. How could she forget when she started to cry when she realized that Pedro's grandmother was blind and that she would never again be able to see the mountains or read the stories she loved so much? From then on he dedicated himself to reading for her.
Esta es una serie muy antigua pero no deja de ser todo un clásico, mi mamá la vio, mi hermana que es 10 años mayor que yo la vio, yo la vi y las generaciones de ahora continuarán viendo esta hermosa serie, y sin importar la época en la que la veas es inevitable llenarte de nostalgia. Es una serie llena de inocencia, es una historia llena de aprendizajes pero principalmente vemos el valor de la gratitud y la humildad, Heidi es una niña feliz en los Alpes, con una vida modestísima, de hecho dormía en una cama totalmente artesanal, hecha con paja y tela de sacos viejos, solo comían pan y queso además de leche de cabra, pero para ella eso era el paraíso, mientras tuviera a Pedro, la abuelita de Pedro y a su propio abuelito consigo ella era muy feliz. Ella es un personaje noble y desinteresado ¿Cómo olvidar cuando se puso a llorar al entender que la abuela de Pedro era ciega y que nunca más podría ver las montañas o leer las historias que tanto le gustaban? Desde entonces se dedicó a leer para ella.
We can also perceive empathy, Clara's father realized that even though Heidi was happy playing with Clara, she was not really happy living in Frankfurt because she was not a city girl, still not everything was bad in that city, the change of environment allowed Heidi to learn many things like reading, writing and manners, she met unpleasant people like Miss Rottenmeier (Clara's governess) but at the same time she met the kindness of Clara and her grandmother, besides the nobility of Sebastian. On the other hand I liked to see that Heidi and Clara's relationship was very symbiotic, that is, they helped each other, Clara helped Heidi to be a more cultured child and to manage in other environments, while Heidi showed Clara that she could be independent and strong, not only physically but also emotionally.
También podemos percibir la empatía, el padre de Clara se dio cuenta que a pesar de que Heidi era feliz jugando con Clara, realmente no era feliz viviendo en Frankfurt porque ella no era una chica de ciudad, aún así no todo fue malo en esa ciudad, el cambio de ambiente le permitió a Heidi aprender muchas cosas como la lectura, escritura y modales, conoció gente desagradable como la señorita Rottenmeier (institutriz de Clara) pero al mismo tiempo conoció la bondad de Clara y su abuelita, además de la nobleza de Sebastián. Por otra parte me gustó ver que la relación de Heidi y Clara era muy simbiótica, es decir, se ayudaron mutuamente, Clara ayudó a Heidi a ser una niña más culta y a desenvolverse en otros entornos, mientras que Heidi le mostró a Clara que podía ser independiente y fuerte, no solo físicamente sino también emocionalmente.
The relationship of Heidi and Clara is also the perfect balance between both environments that seem worlds apart, the city of Frankfurt, too cold and stuffy, Clara's house is huge but is interpreted by Heidi as a prison, while the Alps are a synonym of freedom, spontaneity and health, but this is interpreted by Miss Rottenmeier as a dirty place full of undesirable vermin such as goats and other animals.
La relación de Heidi y Clara es además es el equilibrio perfecto entre ambos entornos que parecen mundos diferentes, la ciudad de Frankfurt, demasiado fría y acartonada, la casa de Clara es enorme pero es interpretada por Heidi como una prisión, mientras que Los Alpes son un sinónimo de libertad, espontaneidad y salud, pero esto es interpretado por la señorita Rottenmeier como un lugar sucio lleno de alimañas indeseables como las cabras y demás animales.
In all honesty I can tell you that I liked the series much more than the book, since the series goes a little further and then we can see that Clara and Heidi meet again (the book ends with Clara's promise to go to visit her friend in the Alps) once together they strengthen their relationship and it is the time for the girl to discover that with a little effort and perseverance she can walk (it is a very emotional part 😊) I also liked that in the series they softened Rottenmeier's character a lot, as in the audiovisual version she is a seemingly frivolous character, but in reality she genuinely cares about Clara, whereas in the literary version she cares about nothing but her father's money. However, something that I did like more about the book is that there was a greater depth with respect to the way in which Heidi gets her grandfather (who had become sullen after the death of his only son, i.e. Heidi's father) to make peace with God, makes him become more of a believer, and all this after Heidi had had a beautiful conversation with Clara's grandmother.
Con toda honestidad les puedo decir que me gustó mucho más la serie que el libro, ya que la serie va un poco más allá y entonces podemos ver que Clara y Heidi vuelven a reencontrarse (el libro termina con la promesa de Clara de ir a visitar a su amiga a los Alpes) una vez juntas fortalecen su relación y es el momento de la niña descubrir que con un poco de esfuerzo y constancia puede caminar (es una parte muy emotiva 😊) también me gustó que en la serie suavizaron mucho el personaje de Rottenmeier, pues en la versión audiovisual ella es un personaje aparentemente frívolo, pero en realidad se preocupa auténticamente por Clara, mientras que en la versión literaria no le interesa otra cosa más que el dinero de su padre. Sin embargo, algo que sí me gustó más del libro es que hubo una mayor profundidad con respecto a la forma en la que Heidi logra que su abuelo (quien se había vuelto huraño tras la muerte de su único hijo, es decir el padre de Heidi) haga las paces con Dios, hace que se vuelva más creyente, y todo esto luego de que Heidi hubiese tenido una hermosa conversación con la abuelita de Clara.
