  1. Hilda Season 2 Review@osakaghoul1959d
    # Should we be worried about Feminism?

After over a year of wait, Hilda finally got its 2nd season release at Netflix. Now I did found feminist narratives plaguing some of the plotlines in this series, alas it wasn't too heavy so it didn't turn Hilda and unbearable series. Regardless of its narrative shoehorning its worthy series to watch

Hilda is a young girl who grew up with her mother in a cabin in the woods. Over the course of the series, she and her deerfox Twig, later accompanied by an elf named Alfur, and friends David and Frida, go on a number of adventures interacting with and befriending the mysterious animals and spirits that live in and around the city of Trollberg.

On 8 October 2018, the series was renewed for a second season, which was released on 14 December 2020. A 70-minute movie episode is currently in production. #Animation

  2. Hilda - beautiful, scary, and old-fashioned for kids!@unbiasedwriter2774d

A few weeks ago I watched an episode of Hilda on Netflix. At first, I was amazed. It felt and looked so old-fashioned. The pictures reminded me of Snoopy. But, there was something more to Hilda.

Hilda is a young girl who lives an adventurous life. She meets scary trolls in the forest, but she isn't scared away by their presence. I recently wrote an article about Trollhunters, and while that is a kids-series full of action, Hilda doesn't contain fights and battles, but it is still capable of scaring the crap out of kids.

In the first episode, Hilda is out in the forest with her dogs. She sees a troll that has the shape of a rock during daytime. Hilda decides to draw the troll, and she places a bell on the nose of the troll, making sure that she is warned in case the troll comes to life and starts moving... Guess what happens next?

The bell starts ringing, and the kids start to scream. It actually felt kind of scary, and I would not recommend this to kids under seven. If they are faint of heart, they should probably wait until they are around 10 years old.

I have read lots of praise for Hilda on Reddit, and I believe it is praised for a reason. Only one season has been released so far, but it is well worth watching if you want a somewhat scary series to watch for older kids! My kids quickly watch all episodes of the first season and now they are eagerly waiting for the second season to arrive. But, that will probably take almost a year, so while waiting, they will look for other quality content to watch on Netflix (or some other streaming service instead).

Have you seen Hilda? Did you like it? I would love to hear your thoughts!
