Hotel Transylvania: Transformania

Welcome dear internet travelers and thank you for making a temporary stop in my post, if you had been following me for a while you will know my taste for any series or movie that is animated so I will enjoy making a review of the new Animated Film by Sony "Hotel Transylvania: Transformania" that brings with it a new adventure for our monsters and favorite human in which the roles of those who are human and who will be reversed it's a monster. Without more to add, get ready to transform that we are about to start.

Bienvenidos queridos viajeros del internet y gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, si llevaban un tiempo siguiéndome sabrán mi gusto por toda serie o película que sea animada por lo que disfrutare mucho el hacerle una reseña a la nueva cinta animada de Sony "Hotel Transylvania: Transformania" que trae consigo una nueva aventura para nuestros monstruos y humano favorito en la que se invertirán los papeles de quienes son humanos y quien es un monstruo. Sin más que agregar prepárense para transformarse que estamos a punto de empezar.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania is an animated comedy and fantasy film, it was released this year, directed by Derek Drymon and produced by Sony Pictures Animation, the film reintroduces us to the hotel for monsters in its celebration of its 125th anniversary, Dracula intends to retire and leave the hotel to his daughter Mavis, but to leave it to her would be to allow Johnny to also direct him with which he is not at all comfortable due to his fear that it will ruin him completely, his refusal makes Johnny look for a "solution" that will bring numerous inconveniences and problems, which will be solved throughout the film.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania es una película animada de comedia y fantasía, fue estrenada este año, dirigida por Derek Drymon y producida por Sony Pictures Animation, la cinta nos vuelve a introducir en el hotel para monstruos en su celebración de su 125 aniversario, Drácula tiene intenciones de jubilarse y dejarle el hotel a su hija Mavis, pero dejárselo a ella sería permitir que Johnny también lo dirigiesealgo con lo que no se encuentra nada cómodo debido a su miedo de que lo arruine por completo, su negativa hace que Johnny busque una “solución” que traerá numerosos inconvenientes y problemas, los cuales se irán resolviendo a lo largo de la cinta.

The characters are the same as in previous installments; Dracula, Mavis, Johnny, Frank, Wayne, Murray, Griffin, among others, do not present any remarkable difference compared to the previous films, having again the function of entertaining and making fun without any more ambitious aspiration.

Los personajes son los mismos que en anteriores entregas; Drácula, Mavis, Johnny, Frank, Wayne, Murray, Griffin, entre otros, no presentan ninguna diferencia remarcable en comparación con las anteriores cintas, teniendo nuevamente la función de entretener y hacer gracia sin ninguna aspiración más ambiciosa.

The soundtrack is very pleasant, varying and fitting perfectly to the different scenarios that are presented. On the other hand, the animation is very fluid and presents an extremely pleasant and vibrant color palette, being nothing less than wonderful.

La banda sonora es muy agradable, variando y acoplándose perfectamente a los diferentes escenarios que se van presentando. Por su parte la animación es muy fluida y presenta una paleta de colores sumamente agradable y vibrante, siendo no menos que maravillosa.

The construction of the world is exactly the same as its predecessors, a random problem arises that wreaks havoc and alters the status quo of the protagonists, being that everything revolves around it and the exploration of the world is very poor being that the scenarios that are presented only introduce little innovative elements.

La construcción de mundo es exactamente igual que sus predecesoras, surge un problema aleatorio que causa estragos y altera el statu quo de los protagonistas, siendo que todo gira entorno a ello y la exploración del mundo es muy pobre siendo que los escenarios que se presentan solo introducen elementos poco innovadores.

The plot is as simple as it explains in the construction of the world, it is basic and consists of solving a problem created by the protagonists themselves, apart from the fact that it has a simple story there is an element that saves it from being a bodrio and it is the fact that it presents an extremely excellent comedy, although it is a children's humor it manages to be absurd enough to entertain adults. Finally there is the generic message of not judging and allowing each individual to express themselves freely, being a rather pathetic and reused moral.

La trama es tan sencilla como explique en la construcción de mundo, es básica y consiste en resolver un problema creado por los mismos protagonistas, fuera de que posee una historia simple se encuentra un elemento que la salva de ser un bodrio y es el hecho de que presenta una comedia sumamente excelente, si bien es un humor infantil logra ser lo suficientemente absurdo como para entretener a los adultos. Por último está el mensaje genérico de no juzgar y permitir a cada individuo expresarse libremente, siendo una moraleja bastante patética y reutilizada.

The characters do not present any kind of characterization or depth in their personalities, it is logical since the work in general does not aspire much and that includes its protagonists who are reduced to simple buffoons who have the only task of telling their respective jokes or being the joke. Although it may seem like a bland character construction, the reality is that they try not to get stuck in the same jokes and at least keep the comedy fresh.

Los personajes no presentan ninguna clase de caracterización o profundidad en sus personalidades, es lo lógico puesto que la obra en general no ambiciona gran cosa y eso incluye a sus protagonistas a los que reduce a simples bufones que tienen la única labor de contar sus respectivos chistes o ser el chiste. Pese a que pueda parecer una construcción de personajes sosa la realidad es que tratan de no estancarse en los mismos chistes y por lo menos mantener fresca la comedia.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania follows the pattern that its predecessors have marked by consisting of a simple and absurd plot, full of comedy that seeks to entertain children and adults alike. The main thing that can be criticized is the fact of presenting a poor plot that depends a lot on comedy and does not expose something ambitious, for all this it deserves a rating of 3.5 stars out of 7, an excellent film to hang out and laugh at absurd things.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania sigue el patrón que han marcado sus predecesoras al consistir en una trama sencilla y absurda, plagada de comedia que busca entretener a chicos y grandes por igual. Lo principal que se puede criticar es el hecho de presentar un argumento pobre que dependa mucho de la comedia y no exponga algo nada ambicioso, por todo ello merece una calificación de 3,5 estrellas de 7, una cinta excelente para pasar el rato y reírse de cosas absurdas.

As many may already know, a couple of days ago the fourth part of Hotel Transylvania was finally released, the famous Sony Pictures franchise that used to be led by Adam Sandler, starring an animated version of Dracula who created a hotel to protect all monsters and his own daughter from the cruel human world.

After several months with a quite complicated production process, added to the arrival of COVID in our lives (which complicated and delayed its theatrical release) Transformania has finally arrived on Amazon Prime, so... Is it good?

Those who follow the franchise closely will already know what to expect, what started out as a simple but engaging animated film that paid homage to the classic monsters of popular culture while throwing in unexpected bits of emotion has evolved into a series of films, funny but with little ambition, presented with a rather simple animation style where the only attraction was the use of light horror elements in a gothic atmosphere mixed with the hotel nature of Drac's home.

My expectations of course were already low, Transformanía is an extended sketch that hides several interesting ideas in its entrails but lacks the commitment to execute them ambitiously.

As we saw in the trailers, the main focus of Transformania is on observing the metamorphosis of all these creatures into human beings and vice versa, showing us several attractive but simple designs with undeniable comedic value. It's a shame that beyond this Hotel Transylvania 4 doesn't seek to offer much more, since its structure is disastrous and it never bothers to develop its characters for the touching pay-off at the end of the film.

It's an enjoyable film, its duration is short and it has a fairly agile pace, the problem is that I know that in about 10 hours I'm going to forget half of its plot... I don't know how to be memorable. Funny gags, a decent level of chemistry between their characters, and nothing else.

Cómo muchos ya sabrán, hace un par de días finalmente se estrenó la cuarta parte de Hotel Transilvania, la famosa franquicia de Sony Pictures que solía estar liderada por Adam Sandler, protagonizando a una versión animada de Dracula que creaba un hotel para proteger a todos los monstruos y a su propia hija del cruel mundo humano.

Luego de varios meses con un proceso de producción bastante complicado, sumado a la llegada del COVID a nuestras vidas (Lo cuál complicó y atrasó su estreno teatral) Transformanía ya finalmente llegó a Amazon Prime, entonces... ¿Es buena?

Aquellos que sigan la franquicia de cerca ya sabrán que esperar, lo que nació como un simple pero atractivo film animado que brindaba homenaje a los monstruos clásicos de la cultura popular mientras que arrojaba unas pizcas inesperadas de emoción fue evolucionando para convertirse en una serie de películas divertidas pero con pocas ambiciones, presentadas con un estilo de animación bastante simplón en dónde el único atractivo radicaba en el uso de elementos de terror ligeros en una atmósfera gótica mezclada con la naturaleza de hotel del hogar de Drac.

Mis expectativas por supuesto ya estaban bajas, Transformanía es un sketch extendido que esconde en sus entrañas varias ideas interesantes pero que carece de compromiso para ejecutarlas ambiciosamente.

Tal y como vimos en los trailers el foco principal de Transformanía se encuentra en observar la metamorfosis de todas estas criaturas a seres humanos y viceversa, mostrándonos varios diseños atractivos pero sencillos con un valor comedico innegable.

Es una pena que más allá de esto Hotel Transilvania 4 no busque ofrecer mucho más, puesto que su estructura es desastrosa y nunca se toma la molestia de desarrollar a sus personajes para el conmovedor pay-off del final se la película.

Es una película que se disfruta, su duración es reducida y tiene un ritmo bastante ágil, el problema es que sé que en unas 10 horas voy a olvidar la mitad de su trama... distq se ser memorable. Gags divertidos, un nivel de química decente entre sus personajes y nada más.
