   When this film was released, I remember that I was dying to see it, but between one thing and another I didn't see it, recently while I was zapping I came across this film again, so I decided to give it a chance. Strangely enough and despite the fact that I love spoilers, I didn't know anything about what I was going to find here, I only knew that it was a film with many funny scenes (which is logical since Eugenio Derbez is the main character) and that it had a sad ending, just that, so it was a total surprise for me everything I found because even though I was somewhat prepared for the ending, it wasn't like that.

   Cuando esta película fue estrenada, yo recuerdo que me moría por verla, pero entre una cosa y otra no la vi, hace poco mientras hacía zapping me encontré de nuevo con esta película, así que decidí darle una oportunidad. Por extraño que parezca y a pesar de que me encantan los spoilers, yo no sabía nada de lo que me iba a encontrar aquí, solo sabía que era una película con muchas escenas graciosas (lo cual es lógico ya que Eugenio Derbez es el protagonista) y que tenía un final triste, solo eso, así que fue una total sorpresa para mí todo lo que me encontré porque a pesar de que de cierta manera estaba preparada para el final, no fue así.

   Valentin was a somewhat irresponsible man, who lived in a paradisiacal place where many tourists arrive annually, in fact, at some point he meets an American woman with whom he establishes a summer romance, but then he never hears from her again. The woman returned some time later with a baby, claiming that the child was his, and to Valentin's surprise, she decided to run away and leave the child with him. Valentin set off for the United States to return the child, although he could not get Juli (the mother) so he decided to stay in the USA with the child and work as a Stuntman. After 7 years, the mother returns pretending to take the girl away from Valentin, after he raised her and became attached to her, however he soon discovers that there is a grey cloud clouding the happiness of father and daughter, and yet he has been keeping quiet about the truth for a long time so as not to cloud his daughter's happiness, a raw truth that is hard to accept, but still does not erase all the happiness that father and daughter have been experiencing since they met.

Luego de 7 años, la madre regresa pretendiendo quitarle la niña a Valentín, después de que él la crió y se encariñó con ella, sin embargo pronto descubre que hay una nube gris que empaña la felicidad de padre e hija, y sin embargo él ha estado callando la verdad durante mucho tiempo para no enturbiar la felicidad de su hija, una verdad cruda y difícil de aceptar, pero que aún así no borra toda la felicidad que padre e hija han venido experimentando desde que se conocieron.

   My Opinion/Mi Opinión

   There are many aspects that I would like to mention in this film that I loved, one of them is the cinematography, with a lot of lighting and colours during the happy moments, (almost all the film) and a little opaque filter when the difficult moments come. The performances were wonderful, with Eugenio Derbez (well known for his humorous content in Mexico) and Loreto Peralta (the little girl) standing out, she looked very natural in her performance, and what is better, she had no problem at all in switching fluently from one language to the other (for this reason it took Eugenio Derbez a long time to find an actress for this character) Loreto's expressions, the strength of her dialogues, everything was great.

   Hay muchos aspectos que me gustaría mencionar en eta película y que me encantaron, uno de ellos es la fotografía, con mucha iluminación y colores durante los momentos felices, (casi toda la película) y un filtro un poco opaco cuando llegan los momentos difíciles. Las actuaciones estuvieron maravillosas, destacando desde luego la de Eugenio Derbez (muy conocido por hacer contenido humorístico en México) y la de Loreto Peralta (la niña) pues ella se veía muy natural en su actuación, y lo que es mejor, no tenía problema alguno al pasar fluidamente de un idioma al otro (por esta razón a Eugenio Derbez le tomó mucho tiempo encontrar a una actriz para este personaje) las expresiones de Loreto, la fuerza de sus diálogos, todo estuvo genial.

   The absurd and funny situations in the film were wonderful, seriously, I laughed a lot with several scenes, especially with one where Maggie (the little girl) gets scared when she sees Valentin dressed up as a clown and throws a cake in his face 😄 🤣. But one of the things I liked the most was to see the transition in which Maggie was growing up while Valentin was present during every moment of her life, feeding her, changing her nappies, teaching her how to use the little base, taking her to the park, it was really a great resource to show us the good father Valentin became, showing his great evolution as a character.

   Las situaciones absurdas y graciosas en la película estuvieron maravillosas, en serio, me reí muchísimo con varias escenas, sobre todo con una donde Maggie (la niña) se asusta al ver a Valentín disfrazado de payaso y le lanza un pastel en la cara 😄 🤣. Pero una de las cosas que más me gustó fue ver la transición en la que Maggie iba creciendo mientras Valentín estaba presente durante cada momento de su vida, alimentándola, cambiando sus pañales, enseñándola a usar la basecilla, llevándola al parque, de verdad que fue un gran recurso para mostrarnos el buen padre en que se convirtió Valentín, demostrando así su gran evolución como personaje.

   Y de esta forma llegamos a la escena que a todos nos desgarra el alma, la escena final, es triste saber que todo terminó para el padre y la hija, fue un momento duro y emotivo, pero al mismo tiempo nos queda la satisfacción de que durante esos siete años, Maggie y Valentín fueron inmensamente felices, además amé esa reflexión de Valentín, comprendió que su padre no tuvo la intención de traumarlo, sino de prepararlo para los momentos duros de la vida , de hecho una de las mejores frases de este personajes es: "Siempre llevaré conmigo el recuerdo de los dos amores más grandes de mi vida, el primero (su padre) me enseñó como estar preparado para enfrentar la vida, y el segundo (Maggie) me enseñó a como enfrentar la vida sin estar preparado"

   From that moment, Valentín's life changes, he begins the search for the girl's mother, he must go to the United States, during his trip he meets several people who gave him the tail until he was transferred illegally to take him to Los Angeles. Then he went from hotel to hotel asking for Maggie's mother, but Valentin does not speak English, he cannot understand what the person says, in one of the hotels he enters without being noticed, the girl hides near a bathroom that is a pool, to keep looking. Then he enters one of the rooms, he tries to talk to a man but when he looks out the window he sees Maggie near the pool, and he tries to call her, seeing that the girl is on the edge of the pool, he thinks in throwing himself but his fears paralyze him (seeing some wolves that are under his imagination that simulates fear), but suddenly Valentin throws himself, in that the hotel room guests see him, he goes down to the pool and asks him how he is. To which he then offers him a job as a double Valentine he accepts.

   6 years have passed and Valentin has taken over Maggie, he continues in the same job, he has given her to buy a car, an apartment and many things for Maggie, in one scene Valentin appears on a prescription and is given a vaccine, he says that the treatment has had no effect , which is still the same result. As Maggie's birthday is close, she says she wants her mother to be there on her birthday, despite not being there, Valentine has managed to make her believe that her mother writes to her from different countries and continents that are She spends her time traveling, Maggie has a wall filled with all the letters and photo montage that Valentine has made.

   The next day, Valentine talks to his best producer friend to help him get a double to take over Maggie's mother, he casts until he chooses a woman. That afternoon, Valentine takes Maggie to the park to meet her mother, in which Maggie begins to imagine what her mother would be like, every woman who passes by thinks to say something like she is too skinny to be my mother, or very short. But to Valentine's surprise in that same park Maggie's real mother arrives, from that moment to Valentine his world with little Maggie begins to change, because the version that Valentine had told him that his parents were married for a time, his mother He had to leave her with him because he was on a mission of peace. Julie told him the truth, making Maggie feel that she lived in a world of lies she no longer loves her father.

Julie leaves him alone but what he does not expect is that Maggie and Valentín escape and flee to Acapulco. Julie looks for her best friend and begins to question him and tells him that he is not going to speak, that this man has given his life for that girl. Until a moment comes he tells her.

   In another scene, Valentin and Maggie arrive in Acapulco, where she finds out that her father Jhonny Bravo died, visits her father's grave, and tells her about all of her father's teaching.    Analysis

   The Mexican Eugenio Derbez was a co-writer, directed and starred in this great film that came out on the big screen in 2013, which gave us a film that combines comedy and drama, part of leaving teaching:

   In this film we see how a man's life changed when he had a girl in his arms, day by day I offer affection and love, where Maggie, despite knowing that he was not her biological father, preferred to go with the Acapulco so that he would not take him away from it.

   A baby transforms life:

   As a mother I certify this, life changes us when a child comes into our life, it is no longer the same as before, there are different responsibilities and a person to take care of. In the film we see Valentin a man without responsibilities, immature, who only lives from day to day. But after having Maggie and realizing that that girl was totally dependent, her world changes and she has a responsibility, she works and gives her daughter everything, apart from being aware of her health and that of the girl (even though the viewers find out that the girl's illness is at the end, we all think it is Valentine).

   We must speak the truth:

   There are times when we do not want to hurt our children to invent things that are not, but there comes a time in life when the lie falls. It's how it happened to Valentin, I create a story for Maggie that her mother never abandoned her, only that she traveled to be on missions, until one day Julie arrived and told her the truth, causing Maggie to take a different attitude. that she lived.

   I invite you to enjoy this film full of comedy, but in the end with a drama that I know many will tear, as I am even telling you about it, the image at the end makes me feel a bit sad.

   I'm happy to participate once again in the contest organized by @wiseagent, (League of Movies (HIVE WRITING CONTEST): Third Edition | Week 04 - "Mind Blowing" and for this week, I chose a film that I liked a lot and whose end greatly impacted me, the film is named: Instructions Not Included.

   This is a Mexican comedy film, my favorite genre, directed and starring actor Eugenio Derbez, it was made on a low budget and became the highest grossing Mexican film in history.

   The film is about a womanizer and irresponsible man named Valentin (Eugenio Derbez) who lives a carefree life with women in his apartment. One day his exgirlfriend Julie knocks on the door of his home and gives him a baby saying she is his daughter, she leaves and abandons the girl leaving her in his arms. Valentin, who is a man with a fear of commitment, tries to look for Julie but he does find her, little by little he grows fond of the baby and decides not to return her.

   

   Instructions Not Included is a film that tells the beautiful relationship between a father and his little daughter, how Valentin changes his life and manages to overcome the fears he has from childhood to become a better father to her, doing things that he never imagined doing to be able to cover the girl's needs, managing to give her luxuries and consent to buy everything the girl wants. The plot of the film has many unexpected twists, gracefully and spontaneously told, that will keep you in your seat.

   

   I really liked the performance of the father and the girl, they managed to create a real bond between them that made me feel a lot of tenderness. The film has some scenes that make you laugh out loud, but it also has others where you can't stop crying, it's like a roller coaster of emotions. The message that the film's plot tries to convey about overcoming your deepest fears is very beautiful and it touches your heart.

   I wanted to participate with this movie because it has an unexpected and very emotional ending that impacted not only me but also everyone who was watching the movie on the sofa in my home. I could not contain the tears of emotion and looking at my side everyone was also crying.

   

   I recommend this beautiful film of Latin american production that if you have not seen yet you have to see and enjoy as a family with some delicious snacks and handkerchiefs to dry your tears. Also after watching the movie you feel the need to call your dad, if you have the pleasure of having him, and tell him that you love him.

But definitely the hardest moment you are going to go through is the loss of a loved one, although you know that they will always be there with you, the void that remains is impossible to fill; but you know that they will always be by your side taking care of you and giving you strength to face life but this time without them.

   These words of the author are very true, it is for them that we should enjoy our days as if it were the last to share with our loved ones always, because we have a borrowed life that tomorrow we can no longer be, but our memories will remain and love. So live your life to the fullest and share with your parents do not forget or leave aside, they gave you life, less your children they are what will be by your side until the day of your departure.
