Somewhere I had read that this had become the most-watched movie on Netflix in the last few weeks, so I decided to give it a chance, even though I hadn't wanted to watch this kind of movie for a long time.

In this film we will also find Lindsay's younger brother, Dakota Lohan, who has had some small participation in some productions where his sister has been, and certainly his participation, is sma. Still, it is noticeable, as he appears in a few scenes. I must say that the participation of Edwar Speleers, and that of Alexander Vlahos himself, were quite decent, at the height of the plot. Por algún lado había leído que esta se había convertido en la película más vista de Netflix de las últimas semanas, así pues, decidí darle una oportunidad, aunque hace mucho que no había querido ver este tipo de películas.
Lindsay Lohan regreso después de un gran periodo de descanso de las pantallas del cine, no digamos que del mundo de la farándula, pues fueron muchos los escándalos en los que se vio envuelta, los más amarillistas eran los que giraban en torno a su apariencia, los procedimientos estéticos no le habían favorecido mucho que digamos, y algo de esto se puede notar en esta ahora rostro adulto que nos muestra la que en otrora se hizo famosa por Juego de Gemelas, que debo decir, me disfrute muchísimo por aquellos tiempos, y en varias oportunidades. Ahora regresa con esta segunda película después de su reinserción en el mundo del cine, acompañada de Edward Speleers y Alexander Vlahos, intentando rescatar aquellas comedias románticas, que a decir verdad nos divertían bastante.
Lindsay interpreta a Maddie Kelly, una escritora que consiguió un trabajo como editora del famoso escritor Paul Kennedy, de quien está enamorada en secreto, pero teme revelarle sus sentimientos a Paul, quien luego termina enamorándose de la mejor amiga de Maddie, Emma, interpretada por Elizabeth Tan, y por lo tanto terminan en Irlanda, para casarse, siendo, Maddie y Heather, la otra amiga de ambas, damas de honor, Maddie aun triste por ver que el hombre del que está enamorada se va a casar con una de sus mejores amigas, tiene un encuentro con una deidad local, que es conocida por conceder deseos, principalmente de amor, y esta desea ser quien se case con Paul, despertando luego de esto como la prometida del escritor.
Debo decir en este punto, que es una comedia romántica, a mi parecer, bastante predecible, la verdad es que, creo que todas lo son en algún punto de la trama, sin embargo, y a su favor, es bien entretenida, no podemos dejar de lado eso, los paisajes irlandeses, son por decirlo menos, hermosos, dándole ese toque mágico que le cae de perlas a este tipo de películas, porque si vamos a ver algo romántico, que tenga ese toque novelesco que hace que muchos suspiren, las actuaciones de los actores (valga la redundancia), en este tipo de películas, siempre me han parecido un tanto exageradas, sin embargo, no puedo decir lo mismo de Un Deseo Irlandés, aunque hay algunas escenas que son la excepción.
En esta película encontraremos también al hermano menor de Lindsay, Dakota Lohan, quien ha tenido algunas pequeñas participaciones en algunas producciones donde su hermana ha estado, y ciertamente su participación en esta cinta, es pequeña, pero se hace notar, pues aparece en unas cuantas escenas. Debo decir que la participación de Edwar Speleers, y la del mismo alexander Vlahos, fueron bastante decentes, a la altura de la trama. Si eres de los que disfrutan de este tipo de historias, y si no te incomodan las tramas predecibles, seguramente te va a gustar, pues como lo mencione antes, es una típica comedia romántica, donde encontraras muchas escenas características de este género. En cuanto a que valoración le doy a esta cinta, debo darle un 7/10, no es mala, pero tampoco fue algo que me dejara alucinando.
