Iron Fist tells the story of Danny Rand, son of a billionaire founder of Rand Enterprises and sole survivor of an accident that took the lives of his family.

After being rescued and trained by Buddhist monks in mystical and martial arts, Danny returns to New York to reclaim his life, facing not only his arch-enemies in The Hand, but also those who run the business empire his father founded.

Without going into detail about the depiction of Eastern philosophy or the authenticity of the martial arts on display, I'll focus on evaluating the series as an action product meant for fans of Marvel comics.

Sadly, Iron Fist fails noticeably in this regard. While the characters are portrayed fairly well from the comics (with some logical changes when translated to the screen), the series is tedious and boring, and never manages to engage the viewer.

It's striking how few and poor the action scenes are, a key point for a product of this type, a far cry from the fantastic Daredevil.

If you were thrilled with the hallway fight in Daredevil's first season or the Punisher's prison fight in season two, forget about seeing anything like that here. It's just two people with little agility clashing fist and sword against armed (or conveniently unarmed) mercenaries who get out of any situation with flying colours, almost a tribute to the A-Team shootouts.

Nor is helped by a lousy, unoriginal script that takes two or three episodes to develop an idea, or by the poor performances, mainly by Finn Jones, who looks nothing like a great oriental warrior, but more like a capriciously tormented young man. Iron Fist, the famous super-powered fist who only appears three or four times in the entire series, deserves a special mention.

  2. Iron Fist Season 2 Review@filotasriza32843d

Ohh God on the one hand i don't wanna make that review but on the other i think i had to! Anyways this will be a review about Season 2 of Iron Fist which i finished a couple of hours earlier. If you continue to read this be aware of the

SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT

    Generic Info

The second season of Iron Fist aired at 7 of September 2018 and thankfully because it was aired by Netflix all the episodes came out together. I think for series like this it's extremely awesome to have all episodes out in once and not wait anxiously each week for one, especially if that one proves to be shit! The total number of episodes was 10 and the duration was around 50 minuted long.

    Plot

Before i get into the plot it's important to mention a couple of things first. Firstly, you have to watch season 1 in order to watch season 2, it's obvious right? What isn't though is that after season 1 you should watch the Defenders were all heroes gather (Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist & Daredevil) to fight the Hand which is suppose to be the mortal enemy of the Iron Fist!

Let's move to season 2 now!

    trailer

So after all the events that happened, season 2 starts with Danny Rand living with Colleen Wing in ex dojo and keeping a low profile working transferring furniture and things. At the same time he plays the hero and try to solve the problems that Chinatown has. At the same time he seems to have good relations with Ward Meachum who is now responsible for the company.

Soon enough Joy Meachum shows up and from what it seems see wanna be out of the company and demands some money and patterns. She also don't wanna have anything to do from now on with Ward and Danny as she blame them for not telling her about her Dad. Soon enough we see her and Davos ( Danny's "brother" and antagonist for the iron fist back in K'un-Lun) and they are plotting for something.

At the same time things going on between 2 different triads the Hatchets and the Tigers that wanna take control of the Chinatown now that the Hand is out. Danny tries to find a peaceful solution between these 2 in order to avoid war. Also we are introduced to another character called Mary that is seemingly looking like a sweet girl that just came in the city and looking for a job but the truth is far from it.

    The Secret Plan

The whole plot revolves around the plan that Joy and Davos formed in which Joy just wanna see Danny suffer in pain while Davos have a better one in which he steals Irons Fist's powers with an ancient ritual in order as his says to finally claim his birthright. That becomes soon reality but his powers are a bit different as he has both hand using the power of the iron fist and the glow is red! Also, In order to get Danny and do this ritual they hired the cute girl Mary to catch him who is actually a person with multiple personalities one of which is a highly trained soldier that goes by the name Walker!

Misty the cop from Luke Cage comes to help too, although she basically does nothing but yolo and Davos with his new power goes into a rampage and kill every triad member he finds and soon enough innocents too. In way you can see he's gone mad

After, some shitty identity and purpose issues Danny faces, he wanna catch Davos, do the same ritual over again but he doesn't want the power back to him but instead he wanna give them to Colleen! Joy watching Davos go crazy realize how wrong she has and hires again Mary Walker to help her deal with Davos.

The outcome of this is that Colleen Wing get the powers, Davos lose his and get busted and Danny along Ward goes to a journey to the world to search and find his true purpose and uncover to truth of the Immortal Iron Fist!

    Is It Worth Watching?

The show is better that the first one in terms of everything. The fight scenes are also better and look more realistic. I don't know what's wrong with the actor that plays Danny and the same thing i wondered in first season but i guess it's not just me as the directors realized it too and developed all the other characters a lot so that's an improvement in a way, i guess...!

I can't understand though why they made him look so useless and a fun fact is that he gets beaten when he has his iron fist but later on he manages to catch Davos without having any single power and while Davos has both his fists glowing! Also i extremely hate the political correctness and i am gonna make a post about it tomorrow Overall if you have seen season 1 and the Defenders it sure worth checking out the second season as well. As i mentioned it's better that the first...

Let me know in the comments if you have seen it and what are your thoughts!

  4. Iron Fist Series Review#11@filotasriza33387d

Hey guys so i just finished Iron Fist and wanna say my overall review

As you may know Iron fist just came out a few days ago and its over Marvel universe alongside with Luke Cage,Jessica Jones, Daredevil and it has 13 episodes. Judging by the end of the show i can guess there will be a season 2 coming!

Now i dont want to say much about the plot as you can read here where i made my review on episode 1. The show is well made and i believe ( i may start a war there) that Marvel has done a total of better work than DC regarding their series as the graphics are better, the fight scenes smoother and the main plot very interesting. Before you start saying than DC series have more episodes so thats why the graphics may be ''worse'' etc etc i simply gonna say i dont care and neither do you, the only thing we need to care is to see a good show either this would be 5 or 25 episodes. I prefer quality over quantity

What i like about these Marvel Series is that they every time provide us with a very different set and order of things and what i mean by that is that in Daredevil we got The big bad guy whom episode to episode we start getting why he does what he does and may even feel sorry for him or ''be at his side'' living in a criminal enviroment and having lawyer firms around!

Jessica Jones pretty much has the above enviroment but with a more supernatural element as you know the main enemy can just control people with words( it later explained how he does that!)

Luke Cage is again in a different enviroment and that is a ghetto place with criminal organization that have the ghetto style i mentioned and are way different than the ones in Daredevil

Iron Fist merges the Corporate world with chinese criminal organization and legends with mythology into one!

To talk more about Iron Fist as it supposed to be the main theme for today the show has a great plot, great enemies that some of them we had the opportunity to see them in other Marvel series and many many many fight scenes as the whole show is around kung fu and martial arts in a way! It also has many secrets and plot twists inside!

i suggest you go watch it i bet you will like it and just to let you know i have never read a superhero comic so i dont know how close is to the comics and how the comics fans will responde but as the one who has seen all Marvel and DC series i say its worth the time and if a second season will get the green light like Daredevil i bet i would be even greater!

  5. Iron Fist Episode 1 Review@filotasriza33390d

So for those of you that dont know, Iron Fist is out so GO WATCH IT NOW

I just watched episode 1 and want make a review out of this. I wont reviewing each and every episode just this one and i will make another post when i finish the show in order to share my opinion about the total result

The show starts with Iron fist coming into ''the world'' looking like homeless and even without shoes. At that point the the producers try to show us how it seems, a homeless or a man with that style and outfit into a world full of corporates and strick clothing and that images in my opinion are very strong and pretty. After that he try to find his company and goes there.

In order for you to let know instead of waiting a couple of minutes more, his dad has thr 51% of a big corporation but after a plane crash in which iron fist his dad and mom was in everyone died but him that as a child some monks took him into care, so the company is now at the hands of the 2 kids and old ''friends'' of Iron fist as their dad and stakeholder of 49% is dead too due to cancer ( hehe! you get that later)

As he gets into the big corpo ofc the guards will try to kick him out cause of his outfit but we gonna see some kung fu fighting scenes and as a result he gets to meet with his former friends Joy and Woord (word or something like this). he tries to explain who he is but nobody believes and try to kick him out calling armed guards.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9OKL5no-S0

At a couple of times get to see his memories and learn what happend in the plain crash little by little as well as his relationships with Joy and Woord when he was kid. Joy was a good girl and good friend but Woord hated him and bullied him. After a meeting with him in his car Woord says that he gonna regret this!

Next day a japanese woman try to promote her martial art class with posters in the streets and sort story sort iron fist ending at her class in order to become a teacher too, she didnt believe he knows martial arts and politely ask him to leave. I bet we all believed a fight scene with her would rise in order to see ''his real skills'' etc etc but the producer didnt want this to be that mainstreem so the protagonist leaves the building and 3 armed guards attack him ( guess who sent them, a little help, ''you will regret this''

He kick his asses and the japanese girl sees that and at the last minutes he again invade in the corporate building this time into Joy's office to talk to her, she agrees to and sit down giving him some tea, hehee the tea has a sleeping substances and as he falls he see next to her Woord! He wakes up in hospital and thats the end folks

there is still one thing i havent said but i will leave it as a surpise :)

tell me your opinion if you saw it and thanks if you read that
