Hello movie and superhero lovers. Tonight I want to talk to you about one of the best movie sequels I've ever seen and the continuation of the story of my favorite Marvel Comics superhero, Iron Man. Produced, obviously, by Marvel Studios and distributed by Paramount Pictures, the sequel to this controversial hero stars the talented Robert Downey Jr, who has once again earned the acceptance and admiration of the public by perfectly playing the protagonist, Tony Stark. Plot
The film begins several months after what happened at the end of the first film, the commotion of the announcement that Tony Stark gave to the press about his true identity (Iron Man) went around the world, reaching the other side of the pond, on television at the home of one of his old ex-employees of Stark Industries, Anton Vanko, who is currently living in Russia with his son. Ivan Vanko inherits the intelligence and blueprints his father has obtained related to the Arc Reactor technology, which Tony perfected in order to protect himself from his illness against the shrapnel in his chest.
Ivan Vanko manages to recreate the Arc Reactor itself, managing to mimic the technology that Tony, in a meeting with the U.S. Senate several months after the event, has claimed that no one in decades would get, thus avoiding giving his technology to the nation to use it for good. However, our famously confident hero will meet Ivan, who will change his mind about what he has long believed. Not to mention that the very technology he perfected and allowed to be stolen is ending his life.

This movie is a conversion of the same character that stars in it, obviously being his story, the way it begins and ends gives me to understand how much Robert Downey Jr. has achieved in getting to play Tony Stark so well, to the point of being well reflected in several situations at the same time. The perfect combination of science fiction, action, comedy and drama that this kind of superhero movies have fascinates me a lot, especially if they perfectly revive a character as famous and complicated as Iron Man. He is not the kind of hero who only cares about the good of humanity, but goes beyond the things seen. However, his carelessness and self-centeredness in relying so much on his great intelligence and power makes him a very easy victim, while becoming his own worst enemy.
The appearance of Ivan Vanko is both timely and apt, so much so that it is evident from watching the first few minutes of the film. This villain, who did not stand out as much compared to many others, was the one who confronted and challenged the confidence Tony gives us regarding how advanced his technology is. When cornered, he chooses to be consumed by his problems, isolates himself and tries everything until someone else comes along and saves his life. It is here that Samuel L. Jackson demonstrates his great talent playing Nick Fury, being the guide and advisor that our protagonist needs to know what to do. In the end he manages to get a technology that not even he, on his own, had been able to get (and it is in that moment where we see a glimpse of his relationship with his late father).

La perfecta combinación de ciencia ficción, acción, comedia y drama que tiene este tipo de películas de superhéroes me fascina bastante, sobre todo si reviven a la perfección a un personaje tan famoso y complicado como lo es Iron Man. No es el tipo de héroes que solo se preocupa por el bien de la humanidad, sino que va más allá de las cosas vistas. Sin embargo, su despreocupación y egocentrismo al confiar tanto en su gran inteligencia y su poder lo hace una víctima muy fácil, a la vez que se convierte en su peor enemigo.
La aparición de Iván Vanko es tan oportuna como acertada, tanto es así que es evidente al mirar los primeros minutos de la película. Este villano, que no destacó tanto en comparación con muchos otros, fue el que enfrentó y puso en tela de juicio la confianza que nos da Tony con respecto a lo avanzada que es su tecnología. These are the reasons why I think this sequel is perfect to give a continuation point to this great character of Tony Stark, who in the future would achieve many things, learning a lot from what he has lived this time. But, the movie is not only there, since what stands out the most, apart from the several appearances of actress Scarlett Johanson as Black Widow, are the different scenes of battles, fights and appearances of Tony with his suits. The special effects, the CGI, the sound effects, the soundtrack, the choreography, everything is so excellently done and of such high quality that to this day (14 years later) it still gives a lot to talk about.
Although the film has not achieved a greater success than other superhero movies, I personally consider it one of my favorites, to be honest, since the connection I have with this character is incredible and the years I have watching this and many other movies in which he appears have come to mark a lot in my adolescence. As much as this movie is talked about in terms of the comedy handled, the appearances of Black Widow or Iron Man himself, I keep thinking that this version of the controversial superhero is one of the best out there. And it's all thanks to Robert Downey Jr, who managed to do one of the best acting jobs ever, bar none.
Personally, I give it an 8.5/10 rating as far as the action/sci-fi/superhero genre is concerned.

Pero, la película no solo queda ahí, ya que lo que más se destaca, aparte de las varias apariciones de la actriz Scarlett Johanson como Black Widow, son las distintas escenas de batallas, peleas y apariciones de Tony con sus trajes. Los efectos especiales, el CGI, los efectos de sonido, la banda sonora, las coreografías, todo está tan excelentemente hecho y con una calidad tan alta que al día de hoy (14 años después) sigue dando mucho de qué hablar.
Si bien la película no ha conseguido un éxito mayor a otras cintas de superhéroes, personalmente considero que es de mis favoritas, la verdad, ya que la conexión que tengo con este personaje es increíble y los años que tengo viendo esta y muchas otras películas en las que él aparece han llegado a marcar mucho en mi adolescencia. Por mucho que se hable de esta película en cuanto a la comedia que se maneja, las apariciones de Black Widow o el mismo Iron Man, no dejo de pensar que esta versión del controvertido superhéroe es de las mejores que existen. Y todo esto es gracias a Robert Downey Jr, quien logró hacer uno de los mejores trabajos de actuación de toda la historia, sin excepción alguna.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8.5/10 en lo que respecta al género de acción, ciencia ficción y superhéroes.
