Hello friends I'm here with another interesting movie title Jumper and I would like to share you with here.

The movie is about a genetic anomaly that allows a young man to teleport himself anywhere. When he uses this power to rob a bank, he comes to the attention of a shadowy group of government hunters who intend to misuse him.

It begins when 15-year-old David Rice discovers he can teleport, or “jump”, after he falls through thin ice on the Huron River.

He uses the ability to escape his father's abusive household and moves to NYC, where he robs banks by teleporting into their vaults.

Eight years later, David lives luxuriously in a penthouse. He spends his days jumping around to various exotic sites, including surfing in Tahiti, lunching on top of the Sphinx’s head, and picking up a woman in a London pub.

One day, David is confronted by Roland, a leader of the Paladins or Jumper hunters who believe Jumpers are abominations.

Despite Roland using specialized weapons which disrupt a Jumper’s teleportation abilities, David still escapes to his hometown in Ann Arbor.

There, he finds his high school crush Millie and also runs into his former high school bully Mark. They fight and David jumps him into a bank vault he had robbed years earlier.

Meanwhile, David charms Millie into traveling spontaneously to Rome. He trespasses at the Colosseum when the guards turn them away, and while she is still outside the gate, he is attacked by a team of Paladins.

Griffin, another experienced Jumper, follows David as they ran into each other in London. Being a Paladin hunter, he briefly explains who and what they are and then leaves.

David accidentally chases Griffin through his “jump scar” or wormhole, an event horizon created by the Jumper that they can pass through, ending up at his lair in the middle of a desert.

David quickly returns to Rome, where he’s arrested. After eight hours of interrogation, his mother Mary suddenly appears, leaves him the handcuff keys to escape before the Paladins can kill him.

He quickly does so, escorts Millie to the airport, putting her on a flight back to America, and then returns to Griffin’s.

David follows Griffin to Tokyo, eventually convincing him to partner up to kill Roland and save Millie. They jump to the US airport, hoping to catch Millie upon arrival, but she has already gone home.

David jumps to her apartment and shows her his powers before the Paladins attack. He quickly jumps her away to Griffin’s lair, enraging him.

He explains the Paladins' technology can keep a jumper’s jump scar open and also pass through it. Roland and his team then suddenly appear at Griffin’s and fight them.

Roland pins David with electrical webbing to the wall and nearly kills him before Griffin blasts a flamethrower.

Griffin jumps to Millie’s apartment and brings back the machine that keeps the scar open.

However, before the scar closes, a Paladin cable pulls Millie back into her apartment. David wants to rescue her, while Griffin refuses to help, saying losing friends and family to the Paladins is simply a part of Jumper life.

He then preps a bomb to deliver to Millie’s apartment and hopefully kill Roland and the rest of his team. David, not wanting to endanger Millie, steals the bomb and Griffin pursues.

They engage in a lengthy battle through multiple jump sites on top of mountains, at landmarks, and finally at a Chechen battlefield where David manages to trap Griffin in tangled high-tension wires.

Find out what happened next as David manages to trap Griffin in tangled high-tension wires as the movie gets interesting.

    Thanks for reading my post.

  2. Jumper Movie Review@sheikhshaon1438d
    [SOURCE](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Film/Jumper)

I'm a movie buff, so here's a great movie review. Director Doug Liman made the Jumper movie based on the 2008 superhero story. Which I really liked and still like today. In the movie Jumper, those who played Shul are - Hayden Christensen as David, Rachel Bison as Millie, Samuel L Jackson as Roland, Michael Rooker as William, Jamie Bell as Griffin, Dine Lane as Mary and many others. A beautiful combination of action, romance and super powers can be seen in the movie.

The movie Jumper opens with David standing on a mountain reminiscing about his childhood. It shows that when David was a child at school, he loved his classmate Milli but couldn't say it. So David gives Millie a beautiful schnauzer, and takes the gift from their friend Mark Milli and throws it onto the frozen pond. When David went to retrieve the Schnauzer, the ice cap broke and sank. Everyone thinks David is dead. But she suddenly came to the library when she saw David drowning. He then comes to his house and realizes that he has teleportation powers. Therefore it is shown here that many people in the world are born with this teleport ability, who are called jumpers.

David then leaves his father, leaving Milli's Schnauzer in their crib as he goes. Later, Milli sees the schnauzer and realizes that David is alive. But Milli can't find him. Then David began to wander and exercise his powers.

Now coming to David's present, a man named Roland comes to David's house. David thought he was a policeman, but he was the head of a peddling group. Whose task is to find and kill the Jumpers. And then Roland had a fight with David and at one point David went to his father's house with some money. But David does not stay there for long. He then goes to find Milli about 6 years later, at the club where Milli works. And there, too, David meets up with Mark, when David teleports Mark into a bank locker and approaches Milli. David then takes Milli to Rome and meets Griffin there. Griffin is also a jumper like him, when a peddeler attacks Griffin, kills him in front of David and takes Lass in his place. However, an employee there saw them, and after Griffin was not found, David was handed over to the police. And then suddenly David's mother came and told him to leave. But before leaving, David puts the police on top of a pyramid and approaches Milli again and tells Milli to go home alone.

Later, David approaches Griffin and learns that in order to kill the jumpers, Roland can also attack their close relatives. As they killed Griffin's mother and father. Then David rushes to his father and finds that Roland has wounded his father and left. David quickly leaves his father at the hospital, goes to his friend Mark and asks what really tells him. Mark says he told Milli too. Later, David goes to Milli's house to see that Milli is fine, and then, looking through the window, Roland has also arrived. Immediately, David arrives at Griffin's with Milli. However, Roland saw the source of David going to Millie's house and he also came there and after a fierce fight left Roland on a lonely hill and came to Milli.

At the end of the movie we see David and Milli start their day anew. But here is the twist of David's mother for you to see. Hope you like the movie. Rating 4 out of 5.

  3. Jumper is a good watch!@trumpman1727d

Netflix suggested me this movie today and I decided to give it to go since I had nothing better to do with my life.

The story is about a young boy that in a life-and-death situation discovers that he has the ability to teleport himself, and over the course of the next years abuses that power to live like a king. Until...... I don't want to spoil the rest of the story!

It was imo a pretty good action film, that I enjoyed from start to finish. Yeah, it's not perfect but it's definitely worth a watch.

By the way there is also a spinoff series on YouTube called impulse based on the same universe. I just finished the first episode and it looks somewhat promising.

Anyways, I will give this movie 6.5 out of 10.

I think it could have been much more , especially the ending which feeled to me some what rushed!

  4. Jumper (Film): Review.@martinmcfly2794d

In 1992 the novel written by Steven Gould, Jumper was published, which told the story of a young man who used his powers to escape from a house where he suffered abuse, sixteen years later, Hollywood decided to make a film about it, making some small changes , how to increase the age of the characters. Ten years later, and without having previously read that novel of the year 1992, I decided to make a review of this film.

Year: 2008 Category: Science Fiction, Action. Director: Doug Liman. Cast: Hayden Christensen, Jamie Bell, Rachel Bilson, AnnaSophia Robb, Max Thieriot, Diane Lane, Michael Rooker, Samuel L. Jackson.

    Plot

David Rice has grown up with the mysterious power that almost everyone dreams of possessing: teleporting anywhere in the world he imagines. You can go through bank walls and safes, as well as enter the most impenetrable chambers. Until now he has used his powers to escape from his past, feed his immense fortune and remain completely independent. He has never known limits, borders or consequences. But when David discovers another young man like him, an exalted rebel globe-trotter named Griffin, the truth of his existence is revealed. It is no longer a curious singular phenomenon of nature, but part of a long line of genetic anomalies, which are also never safe.

    Opinion

There are films filmed with a single and simple purpose: to act as a mere instrument of entertainment for the spectator to pass the time in the cinema. Some of these films are so innocuous and irregular that they can not achieve their goal successfully. However, we have others that can be quite enjoyable despite the superficiality and simplicity of the argument, and Jumper fits perfectly in this second group.

As a general rule, and with few exceptions, this type of productions so predictable, inconsequential, simple and lacking in pretensions do not get great applause and Jumper is not exactly the exception, but neither is it a despicable film to ignore or insult to the satiety. This time we are faced with a product of rapid consumption, properly prepared, which is backed by a good dose of careful special effects and clothed with the presence of several renowned actors who do not take themselves seriously and who enjoy making movies below the usual level.

The script lacks that plot complexity, and although it could have gotten more advantage of the story, it is undeniable that the rhythm remains fairly constant for almost the entire film, something essential to avoid boredom. All these elements make the film a hobby that will entertain us during the scarce 85 minutes that will pass quickly.

Something interesting about the film is that the technical team really had to travel to various parts of the planet to shoot the impressive scenes from the outside, filmed in places as diverse as Canada, Czech Republic, Italy, Egypt, France or Japan, and this it is something that should be valued, since the green screen system was completely ignored to capture digital backgrounds in the film.

As for the actors involved in the film, the only one worth noting is Jamie Bell, who seems to be one of the few who take the matter seriously.

Undoubtedly, the highlight of the film is the action and its visual power. Through impressive scenes performed in the Sphinx of Gizeh or inside the Roman Coliseum, it is a delight for those seeking fast emotion, but it lacks a script with content, in which the aesthetic was clearly privileged, with a flat, irregular script, but moderately entertaining.

    Score

    6/10

The film has the minimum and essential that a film is asked to not cause drowsiness to the spectator. It can be used to watch her quietly at home one day that is broadcast on TV.
