"Justice League Dark," is a 2017 American adult animated superhero film, that offers a unique twist on the DC Comics team created by Peter Milligan and Mikel Janín. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and distributed by Warner Home Video, this is the 28th entry in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies series and the eighth within the DC Animated Movie Universe. Released on January 24, 2017, on Digital HD, and on February 7, 2017, on DVD and Blu-ray.
I’m actually a fan of this book series from DC when it came out on May 31, 2011 as a first title of the New 52 and also collected a few issues of the comics as well. Really enjoyed the darker take and also added characters from the Vertigo line up.
The film presents an original storyline, with Matt Ryan as John Constantine, Jason O'Mara as Batman, Nicholas Turturro as Deadman, and Camilla Luddington as Zatanna Zatarra. It deviates from the comic book plot but creatively weaves its elements into a fresh story.
The story revolves around the Justice League investigating a peculiar phenomenon where ordinary people turn into murderers, convinced that their victims are supernatural beings. Initially skeptical of magic's involvement; Batman is urged to seek the help of John Constantine, and together with Zatanna, Deadman, Black Orchid, Jason Blood, and Swamp Thing, they uncover the dark forces behind these supernatural occurrences.
While investigating the possessions of the victims, they stumble upon the sorcerer and antagonist of the film; Destiny and his sinister plan to use the Dreamstone to feed off people's torment. The Dreamstone is revealed to be the source of [Ritchie's] Certain Character’s remission from cancer, but it possesses him, transforming him into Destiny.
Destiny wreaks havoc, causing the Justice League to perceive each other as threats. In a final showdown, Constantine and his allies, including Swamp Thing, confront Destiny, ultimately defeating him by destroying the Dreamstone.
Good Points:
an original story that is not part of the comics that makes the movie fresh and also uses some of the characters in a very interesting manner, Especially the likes of Deadman, Etrigan and Swamp Thing.
Good Voice Casting was also top notch on this film and the vocal performances of Matt Ryan as Constantine and Camilla Luddington as Zatanna Zatarra. Jason O'Mara as Batman is no slouch either still delivering a stellar performance as the cape crusader.
The Animation and the special effects where also a treat and blends very well with little to animation errors. Also the fight scenes with Faust was top notch.
Bad Points:
my gripes of the movie is that the have little narrative expansion on Swamp Thing and just treated as another body to be part of a slaughter that to me was a bit of a disappointment.

Justice League Dark was released in 2017, is based on the comics of the same name created by Peter Milligan and Mikel Janin, directed by Jay Oliva and produced by Warner Bros. Animation, has a duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes. It is an animated film of action and superheroes, the story focuses on a series of extremely violent murders that occur in different cities such as Gothan, Metropolis and Washington D.C. produced by people who see other individuals as demonic creatures, the Justice League investigates the matter and concludes that all this is produced by magic having to resort to the expert in the subject John Constantine to be able to solve such a complicated situation.
Justice League Dark fue estrenada en 2017, se encuentra basada en los comics del mismo nombre creados por Peter Milligan y Mikel Janin, dirigida por Jay Oliva y producida por Warner Bros. Animation, posee una duración de 1 hora y 15 minutos. Es una cinta animada de acción y superhéroes, la historia se centra en una serie de asesinatos sumamente violentos que ocurren en diferentes ciudades como Gothan, Metropolis y Washinton D.C. producidos por personas que ven a los demás individuos como criaturas demoníacas, la liga de la justicia investiga el asunto y llega a la conclusión de que todo esto es producido por la magia debiendo recurrir al experto en el tema John Constantine para poder solventar tan complicada situación.

The soundtrack is very well achieved, DC has this section very well mastered by achieving excellent musical accompaniment for the different moments presented by the plot.
La banda sonora está muy bien lograda, DC tiene este apartado muy bien dominado al lograr excelente acompañamiento musical para los diferentes momentos que presenta la trama.

The animation is maintained with the same style as the predecessors with a color palette in which dark colors predominate, it is quite fluid in general so the combats do not disappoint in terms of the technical section.
La animación se mantiene con el mismo estilo que las predecesoras con una paleta de colores en la que predominan los colores oscuros, es bastante fluida en general por lo que los combates no decepcionan en cuanto al apartado técnico.
The construction of the world is captivating since it takes us into a magical world with all kinds of interesting things such as: spells, enchanted artifacts, strange creatures, demons, among others; all this generates a lot of expectation to be something that presents a whole new context that causes curiosity to be built excellently and being an element little explored in other DC productions.
La construcción de mundo es atrapante puesto que nos adentra en un mundo mágico con toda clase de cosas interesantes tales como: hechizos, artefactos encantados, criaturas extrañas, demonios, entre otros; todo esto genera mucha expectativa al ser algo que presenta todo un nuevo contexto que causa curiosidad al estar construido de forma excelente y siendo un elemento poco explorado en otras producciones de DC.

The plot is loaded with many remarkable moments and is extremely graphic in general, there is no moment throughout the film that feels boring to always be showing something different that captivates the attention of the viewer. The combats are also another strong point because in these magic is very involved making them feel like something different from the usual in terms of combats of good against evil. From the vamos the main objective is made clear which is to catch the cause of the disaster but without exposing who the tape is until very late; this is moderately a success since the intrigue of ignoring the cause of the chaos is always maintained, in turn this unknown is accompanied by plot twists that are well achieved.
La trama se encuentra cargada de bastantes momentos destacables y es sumamente gráfica en general, no existe un momento a lo largo de la cinta que se sienta aburrido al siempre estar mostrando algo distinto que cautive la atención del espectador. Los combates también son otro punto fuerte debido a que en estos se encuentra muy involucrada la magia haciendo que se sientan como algo diferente a lo acostumbrado en cuanto a combates del bien contra el mal. Desde el vamos se deja claro el objetivo principal el cual es atrapar al causante del desastre pero sin exponer quién es hasta muy avanzada la cinta; esto es medianamente un acierto puesto que se mantiene siempre la intriga de desconocer al causante del caos, a su vez esta incógnita se encuentra acompañada de giros argumentales que están bien logrados.
This is the worst section of the film sadly, the reason for this is that there is an imbalance between the well-achieved characters and those who are not so well; among the first we can highlight Constantine and Zatanna who have a very pleasant chemistry and a remarkable characterization being that the relationship they have is quite interesting. On the other hand there are the characters who do not have a remarkable presence, Batman and Deadman are good examples by limiting their participation to extremely basic and inconsequential things reducing themselves to wasted potential; at this point the villain is also perfectly coupled since although he can be highlighted moderately for being a generator of chaos and misfortunes does not have a really remarkable approach, his final combat is quite simple considering the capabilities he had and could have generated a much more memorable conflict.
Este es el peor apartado del largometraje tristemente, la razón de esto es que existe un desbalance entre los personajes bien logrados y los que no lo son tanto; dentro de los primeros se pueden destacar a Constantine y a Zatanna quienes tienen una química muy agradable y una caracterización destacable siendo que la relación que tienen es bastante interesante. Por otro lado están los personajes que no tienen una presencia destacable, Batman y Deadman son buenos ejemplos al limitar su participación a cosas sumamente básicas e intrascendentes reduciéndose a potencial desperdiciado; en este punto también se acopla perfectamente el villano puesto que si bien se le puede destacar medianamente por ser un generador de caos y desgracias no posee un enfoque realmente destacable, su combate final es bastante simplón teniendo en cuenta las capacidades que tenía pudiendo haber generado un conflicto mucho más memorable.
Justice League Dark presents an interesting concept with several elements very well achieved, being that what it raises feels like a fresh air to be a little explored terrain however it also presents various shortcomings and failures that do not eclipse the good it does but it is not possible to ignore them either. For all this it deserves a rating of 4 stars out of 7, an animated film that shows a magical side of DC that will be entertaining to anyone.
Justice League Dark presenta un concepto interesante con diversos elementos muy bien logrados, siendo que lo que plantea se siente como un aire fresco al ser un terreno poco explorado sin embargo también presenta diversas carencias y fallos que no eclipsan lo bueno que hace pero tampoco es posible obviarlos. Por todo ello merece una calificación de 4 estrellas de 7, una película animada que muestra un lado mágico de DC que le resultara entretenido a cualquiera.

Dentro del universo de DC existen situaciones o problemáticas que la Liga de la Justicia no puede resolver y tal ves me responderás: "oye Rodrigo, pero la Liga de la Justicia cuenta con Superman que es el hombre que tiene casi todos los poderes importantes, con Batman que es uno de los hombres más inteligentes del universo, con Wonder Woman que nunca va a rendirse" y así pare usted de decirme, pero resulta ser que se han presentado villanos dentro de este universo que habilidades comunes no pueden resolver, la magia por ejemplo y para este tipo de situaciones se creo la "Justice League Dark".

Su origen es muy parecido al de "Suicide Squad" que fue creado por Amanda Waller para no depender de la Liga, con "Justice League Dark" sucedió lo mismo, lo creo Madame Xanadu para enfrentar mayormente amenazas que tuvieran que ver con la magia oscura. Este grupo salió de forma oficial cuando June Moon no pudo contener al espíritu de Enchantress y ni Superman siendo este vulnerable a la magia pudo detenerla, de esta forma John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, Trigon, Swamp Thing, entre otros, formarían la Liga de la Justicia Oscura 🖤.

Es uno de los protectores de la tierra cuando de magia se refiere, siendo también un personaje con una gran capacidad de liderazgo e increíble empatia a logrado dirigir la Justice LEague Dark en varias ocasiones y para mí, uno de mis personajes favoritos. No me extiendo mucho debido a que él va para mi post de personajes con adicciones, así que pendiente.
He is one of the protectors of the earth when it comes to magic, being also a character with a great capacity for leadership and incredible empathy he has managed to direct the Justice LEague Dark on several occasions and for me, one of my favorite characters. I don't extend myself much because he goes for my character's post with addictions, so pending.

Han existido grandes proyectos por parte de Warner Bros por traer a la gran pantalla este grupo de héroes, pero como ya es costumbre por parte de esta compañía, todo quedo en el olvido pero para la calma de todos, existe un corte de una película animada que cuenta con la alineación más característica de este grupo pero dirigidos por Batman, porque bueno, es Batman. También existe una película individual de Constantine protagonizada por Keanu Reeves, muy buena y fiel al comic de Hellblazer pero también cuenta con una serie individual que lleva el mismo nombre y guiños en series como "Lucifer morning star" y en el crossover crisis en tierras infinitas. Espero que te haya gustado este post y que gracias a esto, ahora veas que el universo DC es mucho más grande que la trinidad, hasta mi próximo contenido.
