  1. Let It Shine ~ #214@abenad577d

When I first heard of let it shine, it was the movie. I was in Junior High School and my friends never stopped talking about how cool the movie was. Not wanting to feel left out, I downloaded and watched it too. And then I got mad at my friends for letting me miss out on the movie because of the songs in it.

My friends used to argue in class over the best song in the movie but after I watched it and listened to the let it shine song, I was surprised that argument existed in the first place. Let it shine is a song by Coco Jones and Tyler James Williams. I found it hard to hear the lyrics because it had rap in it so I begged my Junior one afternoon to help me learn that song.

He wrote the lyrics out on a piece of paper and came to my class to teach me but along the line, the class was too noisy so we went out to the veranda. The sun was out and already facing that direction but my determination to learn it kept me under that scorching sun till he finished teaching me. And for the rest of the week, that paper was my best friend till I memorized every word.

Eventually, I proved to my friends that I could also sing at least a song in the movie. But after I got into senior high school, I realized the impact the song had on me was huge. It helped me build confidence and also became a reminder to me that with hardwork and determination, I could always let my light shine no matter how little it was.

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine

My favourite part of the song is the first line of the first verse which says it’s been a long road but we’re finally here. As at that time in Junior high school, I didn’t even understand but now that I’m an adult, when I feel like I hit the rock bottom and just want to give up, that line reminds me of how far I’ve come. I unconsciously find myself murmuring that line and it’s always enough to bring back memories of the things I’ve conquered.

When I was a kid, anytime I sang let it shine around my brothers, they made us share the parts. One would rap, the other would dance and I would sing(Just like how it was in the movie). You’re probably wondering how they got to even know about it. Well, after I couldn’t keep mute about let it shine, they had no choice than to watch the movie and before I realized they could also sing it.

So many years have passed and I still remember every word in that song. I’m glad I memorized it because those powerful words in that song have been helping me for ages.

    Girls Life

    English

We know that Disney released a wide variety of films to release on its channel, that is, on the small screen. These films did not have a budget as large as those that were released in cinemas, but many of them became part of our childhood and although they did not They were not the most elaborate nor with such deep plots. There are several redeemable ones such as Lemonade Mouth, Star Struk, Brujillizas, Jump in among many others, and I would like to share them with you. a little about these films, but today we are going to start with one that is less known or that was rather one of the most forgotten, but that for this format is incredible.

Let It Shine We know that Disney loves music movies because they make the movies a little more nostalgic after a while, that is, from my point of view, the songs from High School Musical and from * Camp Rock* fills me with nostalgia and brings back many beautiful memories of my childhood, regardless of the fact that some scenes in these movies are incredibly sad.

We know that these films are full of overused clichés, but like everything even that you have to know how to handle it and the ones I want to share I feel like they did it well. This has the same structure as Camp Rock, a protagonist with a lot of talent but who does not dare to show his talent, a young artist who in order to achieve fame is forced to pretend to be something he is not, and how the protagonist tries to do show the world the real version of this person.

    IMG_4040.webp

    Disney

The plot is simple, a boy and his best friend find out that Roxie, a girl who studied with them, is now famous and is looking for a new talent, so they both decide to send their musical proposal, but one of them does it with a stage name. and by the way he sends a photo with his friends, so thanks to this they think that “Truth” is their friend Kris, they imply that he is the most “pretty” and that is why they chose him, but let's be realistic, if you send a photo What do you see in the background? What are they going to think?

Kris in the middle of everything says to clarify the situation but ends up betraying Cyrus and asks him to help him continue with the charade (you must love a friend very much to let him steal your credit and the girl of your dreams), but Kris ends up being a Silly, fame goes to his head and the only reason he asked for help was to be with Roxanne, he leaves her with anyone, and Roxanne seems to be someone who, although she is famous, doesn't believe she deserves someone as “amazing” as Kris. Cyrus tries to help her show who she really is and decides to stop dressing up and sing as she likes. That same day, in the middle of the concert, Cyrus reveals herself to her in the Camp Rock style too, but she gets angry, but who wouldn't? ? If they both cheated on her.

    IMG_4041.jpeg

    Girls Life

Finally he decides to forgive him and everyone is happy, and they will say, what a mediocre movie you are sharing with us, and maybe, but its music is very good, the songs do not feel forced, it touches on religious themes that were very rarely portrayed in Disney but, Like every film of the time, it has somewhat sexist things that many would not notice because of how normalized they are.

I remember that when I was little I was not a fan of this movie, but I always watch it because of its music and now that I remember it again, it makes me very nostalgic and I want to marathon these movies a little, so yes, I'm prepared for the pain. oblivious, I know there will be some scenes but remembering those good times I had when I was younger, I think I'll call these publications “my guilty tastes in Disney movies” hahaha

  3. Let it shine// movie review [Eng/Esp]@repayme45681562d

It all started in the Church, were hip hop were used in singing praises to the Lord but the pastor said to all the choir members, "hip hop in the church is ungodly and it does not give glory to the Lord, it does not promote God's way, therefore hip hop should not be used here in the church in any way", he put a full stop to it since it does not glorified GOD.

    shine_1_original_35697_2.jpg

Cyrus was the choir master and his father was the pastor, but Cyrus was talented when it comes to hip hop and others genres of music, yet his father refuses to acknowledge some kinds of music, he called those kinds of music ungodly especially hip hop. Hip hop were the one he dislike the most.

One night, Cyrus was in his room, making some good songs and writing down the lyrics, because his room was were he called his studio, he did installed some sound engineer equipment, he was still on deck that night and was practicing every vocals and pianos to be used, when his friends Kris gave him a call about the rap competition in town, he could not bear to missed it as he sneak out to the clubhouse.

Kris join was bold enough to joined the rap competition but he was beating down because he could not withstand the rapper (his oponent ) who was so good therefore, he was defeated, few other guys too were beating also, A particular rapper was noted who seems to be outstanding, but Cyrus was afraid of coming out to performed on stage, he was nervous and think he has no good stage performance, he allowed his fear to consume him.

Fast forward, a day was set for a competition, that was stated " Any artist or rapper who can make a good song, send it to the trending Singer in town called Roxie, would won his or herself a record deal.

Cyrus took part and drop his tape too in the contest, his song was nominated, but since he placed a photography of him and his friend Chris, the talented singer (Roxie) taught it was Kris who has the song, therefore Chris was nominated instead of Cyrus (Truth).

He was choosing and in few days time he became famous and was living a life of a celebrity, with more bags, more fans and with more women always around him, as times goes on, he could not look at Roxie's face most at times, Roxie was feeling something was missing.

    maxresdefault_2.jpg

Because she always said, she is in love with the melody and tbe lyrics of his songs.

Kris was known as Truth meanwhile he was not the truth, his friend Cyrus was the one who has the name and who is the real Truth, it just that they was a mistake somewhere, Kris could not perform and do freestyle of any of those songs since he was rather a fake Truth.

On the day of the Grammy performance, Cyrus beat up his chest and decided to come out real, he performed on the Grammy night and clear the doubt of who he really is, everyone were amazed of his talent, he had to apologize to Roxie and everything were settle, Truth (Cyrus) beat every rapper on that night and was so good, everyone applauded.

Lessons gotten from this movie called "Let it shine"

    1. This movie teaches how important it is for one to fight for what you know belongs to you, just as it was in the case of Cyrus (Truth), he allowed fear to control him but he was amazing the day he beat up his chest, confront the crowd, voice out and speaks his mind.

    2. It also teaches that every Humans are unique, just as it was in the words of Truth (Cyrus) He was always shy to speak his mind to Roxie since he belief that he was not good enough, he referred this inferior feelings to his look, that he is not handsome, if he tell Roxie who he is, she would not like him and rather want his friend Kris to continue being him, since he think his friend Kris has a good look but he was set free when he was left with no choice than to show himself to the people.

    3. It also relate that, no matter where you are and what you do, as far as you doing it right one day, you would make it and the sky would be your limits.

    The end.......

                                                                         Spanish
