Welcome dear internet travelers and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, as you know I am not much of a reader of film synopses, I only like to see what genre it belongs to and its cover, this makes for a more interesting experience, That was exactly the process I followed when I saw the film “Let Me In” which seemed to be a horror film that looked appealing. Without further ado, prepare to drink blood because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos queridos viajeros del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, como sabrán no soy mucho de leer las sinopsis de los filmes, me gusta únicamente ver a qué género pertenece y su portada, así resulta una experiencia más interesante, ese fue exactamente el proceso que seguí cuando vi el filme “Let Me In” el cual parecía ser una cinta de terror que se veía atrayente. Sin más que agregar prepárense para beber sangre pues estamos por comenzar.

Es una película de terror y romance, la historia se centra en Owen, un niño de 12 años que es infeliz debido al proceso de divorcio de sus padres y al hecho de que lo amedrentan en la escuela, sin embargo, todo cambia una mañana cuando una niña y su padre se mudan cerca de su casa, y, este comienza a entablar conversación con esta niña extraña, paralelamente, múltiples decesos inexplicables comienzan a suceder en aquel pequeño lugar.

The soundtrack is used with the intention of generating disturbing moments, however, this is wasted because the film does not have any scene that fits that description, therefore, the musical section is wasted as there is nothing decent to accompany it.
La banda sonora se emplea con la intención de generar momentos inquietantes, sin embargo, esto es desaprovechado debido a que el filme no posee ninguna escena que encaja con esa descripción, por lo tanto, el apartado musical es desaprovechado al no haber nada decente para acompañar.

The world building only focuses on presenting dark and gloomy scenarios, and this section is the same as the previous one, it fulfills the job entrusted to it but a good context is of no use if they do not contribute anything, the above is due to That the narrative does not know how to take advantage of that dark setting and use it in some moderately interesting way, he once again highlighted, is a wasted section.
La construcción de mundo solo se enfoca en presentar escenarios oscuros y lúgubres, siendo que a este apartado le pasa igual que al anterior, cumple con el trabajo que le encomiendan pero de nada sirve un buen contexto si no aportan nada, lo anterior es debido a que la narrativa no sabe aprovechar esa ambientación oscura y usarla de alguna forma medianamente interesante, nuevamente destacó, es un apartado desaprovechado.

The plot is completely insipid, it lacks any moment of horror imaginable, added to the fact that there are few interesting things that happen in general, what it offers the most are bloody scenes that are more unpleasant than anything else. Narratively it is a disaster, it has a slice of life style that is boring, nothing is ever really done with most of the data it gives about the life of its protagonist so it ends up being something that only burns time, on the other hand, dark fantasy is also worked on in a terrible way, the theme is very timidly delved into as if it were something secondary, all this makes his writing perceived as something boring and even disordered to a certain extent, and that these deficiencies seem to want to be made up for with bloody scenes. The duration is exaggerated, the film really does not have an established direction so it becomes tedious, the interaction of its characters is not interesting enough to keep the issue interesting for almost 2 hours.
La trama es completamente insípida, carece de cualquier momento de terror imaginable, sumado a que son pocas las cosas interesantes que suceden en general, lo que más ofrece son escenas sangrientas que son más desagradables que otra cosa. Narrativamente es un desastre, tiene un estilo medio slice of life que es aburrido, nunca se hace realmente nada con la mayoría de los datos que da sobre la vida de su protagonista por lo que termina siendo algo que solo quema tiempo, por otro lado, la fantasía oscura también es trabajada de forma terrible, se ahonda de forma muy tímida el tema como si fuese algo secundario, todo esto hace que su escritura se perciba como algo aburrido e incluso desordenado hasta cierto punto, siendo que dichas carencias parece quererlas suplir con escenas sangrientas. La duración es exagerada, realmente el filme no tiene un rumbo establecido por lo que se torna tediosa, la interacción de sus personajes no resulta tan interesante como para mantener interesante el asunto por casi 2 horas.

The protagonist is designed to be a boy who suffers from different factors and for whom you should only feel sorry, he has nothing beyond that so his greatest contribution is reduced to being the writer's punching bag, the co-star is only mysterious and lacking in personality, the enigma she handles is supposed to be of interest but it is quite boring, and, furthermore, from the beginning we know that it is her because of the general knowledge that we have but not because of the data provided by the film because it fails miserably to develop this element; The relationship between them is not bad per se, however, it falls short of being the main focus of the film because it is very basic. The rest of the characters are completely forgettable, some are so basic that they simply boil down to being detestable characters and this is the only thing they were created for.
El protagonista está pensado para ser un chico que sufre por diferentes factores y por el cual solo deberías sentir lástima, no tiene nada más allá de ello por lo que su mayor contribución se reduce a ser el saco de boxeo del escritor, la coprotagonista solo es misteriosa y es carente de personalidad, se supone que debería interesar el enigma que maneja pero este es bastante aburrido, siendo, además, que desde el vamos se sabe que es ella por el conocimiento general que se tiene más no por los datos que aporte el filme debido a que falla estrepitosamente en desarrollar este elemento; la relación que hay entre estos no es mala perse, sin embargo, le queda grande el hecho de ser el enfoque principal de la cinta debido a que es muy básica. El resto de personajes son completamente olvidables, algunos son tan básicos que simplemente se reducen a ser personajes detestables y esta es la única cosa por la que fueron creados.
Let Me In is a conglomeration of failures and mistakes, it does not know how to work on its own concepts and is limited to just extending the film without having something that really makes it moderately interesting, all of this makes it feel insipid and completely boring. It is for all the above that it deserves 1.5 stars out of 7, it is like a strange copy of Twilight with more blood and a terrible explanation of its fantasy.
Let Me In es un conglomerado de fallos y desaciertos, no sabe trabajar sus propios conceptos y se limita a solo extender el filme sin tener algo que realmente lo haga medianamente interesante, todo esto hace que se sienta insípida y completamente aburrida. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 1.5 estrellas de 7, es como una copia extraña de Crepúsculo con más sangre y una explicación pésima de su fantasía.
