Action + comedy= Good combo

Overview

Ex-Navy SEAL Martin Riggs moves to California and starts working at the LAPD. He is paired with Detective Roger Murtaugh and together, they fight some of the most dangerous criminals in the city. Their partnership is both a mixture of comedy and action.

New Take on a Classic

The TV series stars Clayne Crawford as Martin Riggs, a former Navy SEAL turned cop, and Damon Wayans as Roger Murtaugh, a seasoned LAPD detective. They're paired together, and their contrasting styles lead to humorous and action-packed result.

Riggs is a loose cannon with a troubled past. He's fiercely independent and often clashes with authority. Riggs running down to the hospital with a red rose flower with a high hope of seeing his wife who previously called him while he was on field chasing bad guys to tell him that she was on her way to the hospital because she suspected their baby was on the way. With hopes high, energy swerving he was greeted with an unforgettable image of his wives body been covered with a white sheet and a nurse apologising to him that he lost both his wife and child. They were found on the other end of an accident with a huge trailer. 6 months after he loss of his wife, he was assigned to another partner in Los Angeles.

Murtaugh: The Voice of Reason

Murtaugh is a straight-shooter with a no-nonsense attitude. He is a family man with a stable life. Their differences create tension, but they develop a strong bond as partners.. He's a bit older and wiser than Riggs, but still has a spark of energy. Together, they tackle complex cases and face personal struggles. His partnership with Riggs was both a funny and life threatening mix. Majorly because Riggs being a loose canon always tend to jump right into action then he thinks of the consequences later. Martuagh having a lot to loose, especially with his wife who loves him like no one else, thinks a hundred times before jumping into action.

The Cases

Each episode features a new case, from high-stakes heists to personal vendettas. Riggs and Murtaugh use their unique but skills to solve the cases, often finding themselves in intense situations. Their partnership was both unique and different. Majorly because they had two different approach to cases, which happened to always be a funny one. Throughout the series, Riggs and Murtaugh's relationship evolves. They learn to trust each other and develop a deep bond. The show also explores their personal lives, including Riggs' past and Murtaugh's family. The series balances action and humor, with plenty of intense fight scenes and witty banter. Riggs and Murtaugh's chemistry is undeniable, making their partnership a joy to watch.

A Funny Moment

One notable funny experience between Murtaugh and Riggs is when Riggs tries to bond with Murtaugh's family. Riggs attempts to fit in by being a "cool dad" but ends up embarrassing himself.

Riggs tries to rap with Murtaugh's kids, but his awkward dance moves and cheesy lyrics make it a cringeworthy moment. Murtaugh can't help but laugh at Riggs' misguided attempt to be hip.

The humor comes from Riggs' good-natured but clumsy efforts to connect with Murtaugh's family. Despite his tough exterior, Riggs shows a vulnerable side, making the scene both funny and endearing.

This was just one of a million scene that seemed to crack me up. Every scene seemed to have a funny line or statement. Trish, Murtaugh's wife, always being the understanding woman which made the movie really interesting. I specially love this movie because apart from the funny scenes you could also watch with a 14 year old in the room.

"Lethal Weapon" (2016-2019) is a fun and action-packed TV series that brings a modern twist to the classic buddy cop genre. With its strong characters, engaging cases, and humor, it's a great watch for fans of crime dramas and action series.

Lethal weapon as a tv-show?

We have now come to part 13 of tv-shows that I can recommend. Today we are looking at a tv-show based on the hit movies Lethal Weapon with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover.

The show I can recommend watching today is: Lethal Weapon (photo: warner bros.)

Episode runtime: 45 minuts pr episode Seasons: 2 seasons, and still running Show started: 2016 Genrer: Comedy, Action, Crime. Stars: Damon Wayans, Clayne Crawford, Jordana Brewster Show Creator: Matthew Miller Availability: Can be streamed on Viaplay. / Can be seen on Fox Imdb/Rotten tomatoes: 8.1 & 65% / 92%

I can only agree on the ratings for this show, its a show the critics hate but the viewers love.

Im a big fan of the old Lethal Weapon movies, so when my brother told me about this tv-show I got very interested in it, and it did not take me long to get hooked on this show, the way it is with this show is exactly like the movies at most of the time, some dark humor and lots of action, its a great combination.

As for the acting part, ive seen many of Damon Wayans movies, and they are mostly funny, so I was a bit sceptic when he was a main character in this show incase he should be "overly funny" but that is luckily not the case, and it is strange seeing him in a role like this but suits him well, the rest of the cast is also good, Clayne Crawford playing Martin Riggs is doing it crazy good.

This show centeres upon a veteran cop, Roger, who lives life very quietly and doing his job by rutine and strichtness, he gets a new partner, Martin Riggs, who is the exact opposite, a very quick actionfilled, and suicidal cop comming from a family tragedy. Martin pumps up the speed in Rogers worklife and homelife and together they get many cases they need to solve without causing havoc in the city.

For TV-Shows it is quite alright to check out the trailer, depending on the age of the trailer, as you can easily get fooled and finding a quick recap of the first season of the show, and that would kinda suck. So when watching trailers for tv-shows, be sure it is one of the first trailers that came out, to ensure there are not too many spoilers, but still informfull enough to give you an idea about the show

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and will consider watching this tv-show, as this is deffinently one of the better tv-shows out there.

It is believed that is one of the best detective tapes of the eighties and nineties. Elderly policeman Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) wants to sit quietly until retirement. However, on his birthday, he has to work with a young partner - Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson), with whom nobody wants to work and whose suicidal tendencies are due to the death of his wife. Together they investigate cases and go to a large criminal group engaged in the sale of drugs.

"Lethal Weapon" and through long years remains the standard in the thriller genre. It's terrible to think, because the film is 30 years old! How many hundreds or thousands of movies were filmed during this time, and only a few remain in memory.

From numerous articles, I found out that Lethal Weapon became the founder of a combination of incompatible pairs. Roger Murtaugh and Martin Riggs are so different that they make up one of the most successful tandems in history. This is the main advantage of the film. And also a strong script with a deep drama, well-developed characters, motivation and a large number of action scenes.

And remember? Roger Murtaugh is too old for this shit))).

Let's speak about return of "Lethal Weapon" in TV series.

I initially took a very cautious attitude to the show. Unknown actors, I know only Jordana Brewster, who played in Fast and Furious...But I gave a chance

- Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) - a detective who returns to work after a heart attack. He is married and has three children. He is in wife's purse. And he also has a pacemaker, which is often played out in the plot.

- Martin Riggs (Klein Crawford) is a Texas ranger who moves to Los Angeles after his wife's death. He is on the brink, constantly wants to commit suicide but does not dare. He drinks, does not wash, smokes grass, etc. Martin Riggs is so crazy and wants to die every minute of his life.

Resume

The first season is available, consisting of 18 episodes. The series has already been extended for the season 2.

If you do not remember in the process of viewing the source, then the series will go to cheers. Excellent comedic-criminal thriller with a good drama. We have no time to get upset especially. Script writers smooth dramatic moments with a good joke. Unlike the original film, the series has a kind of Hollywood raid and gloss.

The actors play very well. They are now included in my selection of favorite partners. Constantly teasing each other, not showing feelings, nevertheless ready to put a shoulder and close each other in terrible skirmishes.

The main characters behave like rascals. Riggs is jumping in front of bullets because of the desire to die, and Roger Murtaugh has midlife crisis. Female half of the series looks much wiser. Especially I like Murtaugh wife - Trish. It pleases that behind all the action, the creators do not forget to disclose supporting actors.

Run, shoot, explosions - all this will be in abundance. In addition to the usual investigations, through the whole series will go a thin line searching for the killer Riggs wife.

In the end, to smooth out my enthusiastic impression, I will give another point of view. Rotten Tomatoes rate series 5/10 and that's what they write:

Critics Consensus: Lethal Weapon's overly polished production values and tired narrative are somewhat overcome by solid chemistry between its two leads.
