Hola a todos...

Yo no soy del típico espectador de películas de amor o románticas, ya que en la mayoría de los casos son historias algo irreales predecibles, ya que sin importar como comiencen o si los protagonistas se separan, pues en cualquier punto al terminar la película el destino o el guionista los vuelve a unir. O tambien está el otro extremos donde son amores tóxicos como es el caso de la película 3 Metros Sobre El Cielo o The Kissing Booth. Pero el hecho de que no me gusten, no significa que en algunos casos no las disfrute, como por ejemplo The Vow o The Age o Adaline, que son películas donde incluyen otras cosas como la ciencia o una historia basada en hechos reales.

Hace unos días vi otra película romántica, que aunque la historia si es un poco predecible. En esta película incluyen otras cosas que según mi opinión considero como de éxito en una película, y estas son: una buena banda sonora, paisajes increíbles y una actriz que es muy atractiva. Se trata de una película que salió en el año 2010 y que protagonizo Amanda Seyfried, bajo la dirección del fallecido Gary Winick, famoso director que tambien estuvo adelante de otros proyectos como 13 Going on 30, Bride Wars y Charlotte's Web.

La película se titula Letters to Juliet y se ha ganado un lugar en mi lista de 5 películas románticas, ya que me gustó mucho, a pesar de que ese género no es mi favorito.

Letters to Juliet cuenta la historia de Sophie una chica que trabaja para una importante revista americana como una verificadora de datos, pero como su vida es muy aburrida o rutinaria, decide hacer un viaje a Italia para volver a encontrarse, además la acompaña su novio Víctor para que tambien el viaje sea romántico, pero Víctor está más interesado en su trabajo que en el viaje con su novia.

Así que cuando sale a caminar por las calles de Verona llega hasta un lugar donde miles de mujeres por todo el mundo escriben cartas a Julieta contándole lo pésima que es la vida amorosa y estas mujeres son respondidas por las secretarias de Julieta. Sophie por casualidad se encuentra con este grupo de mujeres y se les une para pasar el tiempo que su novio la abandona.

Más adelante se encuentra con una carta que Claire Smith escribió para Julieta hace 50 años donde le cuenta de un romance de adolescentes que tuvo que dejar para ir a estudiar a Inglaterra, así que ella le responde pero con dudas sobre si la Sra. Clare ha fallecido o no. Pero que sorpresa se lleva cuando Clare y su nieto Charlie viajan desde Inglaterra hasta Verona para hablar con Sophie y embarcarse en una aventura por toda Italia en busca del amor de Clare.

Letters to Juliet en un principio parece comenzar como un clásico cliché, la chica que su novio no atiende y que va en busca de aventuras y se consigue con un chico rico y guapo, pero cuando Clare y su nieto llegan a Italia para buscar al amor de la abuela, todo cambia y se torna como una película de comedia, esto me encanto ya que le da mucha emoción a la película.

Las partes de comedia más destacadas son cuando trata de encontrar a Lorenzo Bartolini y se dan cuenta de que hay más de 73, así que cuando están en busca de los Lorenzo Bartolini hay muchas escenas graciosas, ya que se consiguen con un Lorenzo Bartolini que es todo un atrevido con más de 70 años, luego esta un Lorenzo Bartolini que es multimillonario y que al nieto le encantaría quedarse aunque no fuera el Lorenzo de su abuela, tambien podemos ver un Lorenzo Bartolini que la esposa esta echando de la casa.

Otra cosa que destaca muchísimo en esta película son la gran cantidad de paisajes increíbles que muestran, para mí los paisajes europeos tienen mucha belleza y aún más los paisajes italianos, y en esta película hay muchas escenas de valles, viñedos, casas, que te transportan a Italia.

Luego de los paisajes esta la banda sonora o el sound track de esta película, que tambien considero algo increíble. El director de música para esta película fue Andrea Guerra, un famoso compositor italiano conocido por otras películas como En busca de la felicidad, que tambien tuvo un excelente sound track. En esta película además usaron una canción de Taylor Swift y para mi es la primera película que veo en que incluyen una canción de esta cantante, y la canción que usaron fue Love Story que va muy acorde con la trama.

Una última cosa que puedo destacar en la película es el gran mensaje que tratan de enseñar, de que las oportunidades se presentan muy pocas veces y hay que saber aprovecharlas, por ejemplo Claire no aprovecho de volver con Lorenzo y ser feliz desde su juventud, Víctor no aprovecho de darle la debida atención a Sophie y esta se enamoró de otro y por ultimo Charlie por poco pierde la oportunidad de quedarse con Sophie. Por eso es importante dedicarle el tiempo necesario a aquellos a quienes amamos, ya que no estarán allí para siempre.

De todos los actores que dieron vida a esta película puedo destacar 2, Amanda Seyfried y Gael García Bernal. A Amanda Seyfried la destaco por actuar con mucha naturalidad con respecto a cómo la trataba su novio y como reaccionaba y tambien la manera en que ayuda a Clare a encontrar a Lorenzo aunque hayan algunos problemas.

Y de Gael García Bernal destaco toda su actuación, ya que en otras películas ha actuado interpretando distintos oficios como director de una orquesta, deportista, chef, guerrillero, cantante, entre otros papeles. Y lo mejor de todo es que se adapta perfectamente, por eso destaco su actuación aquí, ya que el papel de chef emocionado por abrir su restaurante es impecable.

Aunque la película si es muy buena y cuenta con actores de bastante peso en la industria del cine, siento que en algunos momentos ya te sabes que va a pasar sin siquiera haber visto la película, ya que la trama se vuelve predecible en algunos momentos. Pero no puedo negar que lo compensa el hecho de que Amanda Seyfried actué en la película, que nada más verla actuar por 105 minutos hace que mejore mucho la película. Así que si quieres pasar un buen momento en familia o junto a tu pareja, yo la recomiendo.

I am not a typical viewer of love or romantic movies, since in most cases they are somewhat unrealistic and predictable stories, because no matter how they start or if the protagonists are separated, at any point at the end of the movie fate or the screenwriter brings them back together. Or there is also the other extreme where they are toxic loves as in the case of the movie 3 Meters Above The Sky or The Kissing Booth. But the fact that I don't like them, doesn't mean that in some cases I don't enjoy them, like for example The Vow or The Age of Adaline, which are movies where they include other things like science or a story based on true events.

A few days ago I saw another romantic movie, although the story is a bit predictable. In this movie, they include other things that in my opinion I consider as successful in a movie, and these are a good soundtrack, incredible landscapes, and a very attractive actress. This is a movie that came out in 2010 and starred Amanda Seyfried, under the direction of the late Gary Winick, a famous director who was also in charge of other projects such as 13 Going on 30, Bride Wars, and Charlotte's Web.

The movie is titled Letters to Juliet and it has earned a place in my top 5 romantic movies list, as I liked it a lot, even though that genre is not my favorite.

Letters to Juliet tells the story of Sophie a girl who works for an important American magazine as a fact-checker, but as her life is very boring or routine, she decides to take a trip to Italy to find herself again, she is also accompanied by her boyfriend Victor so that the trip is also romantic, but Victor is more interested in his work than in the trip with his girlfriend.

So when she goes for a walk through the streets of Verona she comes to a place where thousands of women from all over the world write letters to Juliet telling her how lousy their love life is and these women are answered by Juliet's secretaries. Sophie by chance meets this group of women and joins them to pass the time her boyfriend is leaving her.

Later she comes across a letter that Claire Smith wrote for Juliet 50 years ago where she tells her of a teenage romance that she had to leave to go study in England, so she replies but with doubts as to whether or not Mrs. Clare has passed away. But what a surprise she gets when Clare and her grandson Charlie travel from England to Verona to talk to Sophie and embark on an adventure across Italy in search of Clare's love.

Letters to Juliet at first seems to start as a classic cliché, the girl whose boyfriend doesn't care for her and she goes in search of adventure and gets a rich and handsome guy, but when Clare and her grandson arrive in Italy to look for grandma's love, everything changes and it turns into a comedy movie, I loved this as it gives a lot of emotion to the movie.

The comedy highlights are when they try to find Lorenzo Bartolini and they realize that there are more than 73, so when they are in search of the Lorenzo Bartolini there are many funny scenes, as they get a Lorenzo Bartolini who is all sassy with more than 70 years, then there is a Lorenzo Bartolini who is a multimillionaire and that the grandson would love to stay even if he was not the Lorenzo of his grandmother, we can also see a Lorenzo Bartolini that the wife is kicking out of the house.

Another thing that stands out a lot in this film is the great number of incredible landscapes that are shown, for me the European landscapes have a lot of beauty and even more the Italian landscapes, and in this film, there are many scenes of valleys, vineyards, houses, that transport you to Italy.

After the landscapes, there is the soundtrack of this film, which I also consider something incredible. The music director for this movie was Andrea Guerra, a famous Italian composer known for other movies like In Search of Happiness, which also had an excellent soundtrack. In this movie, they also used a song by Taylor Swift, and for me, it is the first movie I've seen that includes a song by this singer, and the song they used was Love Story which goes very well with the plot.

One last thing that I can highlight in the movie is the great message that they try to teach, that opportunities come very rarely and you have to know how to take advantage of them, for example, Claire did not take the opportunity to return to Lorenzo and be happy since her youth, Victor did not take the opportunity to give due attention to Sophie and she fell in love with another and finally Charlie almost lost the opportunity to stay with Sophie. That is why it is important to dedicate the necessary time to those we love since they will not be there forever.

Of all the actors who gave life to this movie, I can highlight 2, Amanda Seyfried and Gael Garcia Bernal. Amanda Seyfried, I highlight for acting very naturally concerning how her boyfriend treated her and how she reacted and also the way she helps Clare to find Lorenzo even though there are some problems.

And from Gael García Bernal I highlight all his performances since in other movies he has played different jobs such as orchestra conductor, sportsman, chef, guerrilla fighter, singer, among other roles. And the best of all is that he adapts perfectly, that's why I highlight his performance here since the role of a chef excited to open his restaurant is impeccable.

Although the movie is very good and has some of the most important actors in the film industry, I feel that in some moments you already know what is going to happen without even having seen the movie, since the plot becomes predictable at times. But I can't deny that it is compensated by the fact that Amanda Seyfried is in the movie, just watching her act for 105 minutes makes the movie much better. So if you want to have a good time with your family or your partner, I recommend it.
