¡Hola Hola Comunidad! ✨, aprovechando mis últimos días de vacaciones me puse a ver un par de películas, incluso algunas navideñas que no logré ver en diciembre, y me he encontrado con diversa variedad de material 🤣, alguno honestamente muy malo, películas tan malas que producen muchísima risa, otras bastante buenas pero que me hicieron darme cuenta como hay actores que se han encasillado en ciertos papeles, y algunas románticas que han logrado mantenerme totalmente concentrada en la historia que están contando, hoy justamente vengo a hablarles de una de ellas, una historia bastante romántica y cursi pero con una construcción sólida, así que aquí les reseñare Amor a Primer Mensaje 💖.

Mira Ray ha vivido uno de los dolores más grandes que una persona puede experimentar, vivir una tierna historia de amor y que la muerte marque su fin prematuro, su novio murió a causa de un accidente y ella ha sucumbido a 2 años de luto, sin embargo cuando decide darse nuevamente una oportunidad para conocer personas, comienza a escribirle mensajes de texto a su novio fallecido para contarle cómo se siente y qué está ocurriendo con su vida, lo que ella no sabe es que éste número de teléfono ha sido reasignado a otra persona, específicamente a Rob Burns, quien ha estado recibiendo todos éstos mensajes y en quien además ha surgido un interés por conocer a ésta chica misteriosa que la ha estado escribiendo.

¿Empezamos con buen pie las películas románticas en el 2025? Pues la verdad es que sí, aunque esta historia es realmente del 2023, también es cierto que amé cada segundo que transcurría de película, para empezar hay que tener claro que ésta es una producción muy romántica al punto de llegar a ser cursi pero de una manera linda, su foco principal es el duelo por la pérdida de un ser querido, específicamente de una pareja, que es uno de los duelos más complejos que existen, sobre todo cuando se da de manera abrupta y temprana como es el caso de la ésta historia. La película maneja cierto ritmo pausado que la hace sentir más larga de lo que realmente es, y ese detalle es un punto positivo para ella, porque justamente al estar tocando el duelo, no se puede esperar que los hechos se desarrollen de forma rápida, sobre todo cuando hablamos de romance.
Are we off to a good start with romantic films in 2025? Well the truth is yes, although this story is really from 2023, it is also true that I loved every second of the film, to begin with we must be clear that this is a very romantic production to the point of being cheesy but in a nice way, its main focus is the mourning for the loss of a loved one, specifically of a partner, which is one of the most complex griefs that exist, especially when it happens abruptly and early as is the case of this story. The film manages a certain slow pace that makes it feel longer than it really is, and that detail is a positive point for it, because precisely because it is dealing with grief, you can't expect the events to develop quickly, especially when we are talking about romance.
Sí es cierto que desde cierto punto de vista se podría decir que el romance pasa de un punto A hacia un punto B de forma acelerada, sobre todo desde la perspectiva del protagonista masculino, quien desde mi opinión, se enamoró muy rápidamente, pero desde el lado de ella (que es quien vive el duelo) siento que incluso en la “rapidez” de los hechos, también hubo espacios para ver como el retomar su vida después de la pérdida, le causa dolor e incluso angustia, lo cual es completamente normal y me agradó verlo bien representado en una película romántica.
It is true that from a certain point of view it could be said that the romance moves from point A to point B in an accelerated way, especially from the perspective of the male protagonist, who in my opinion, fell in love very quickly, but from her side (who is the one who lives the grief) I feel that even in the "speed" of the events, there were also spaces to see how taking up her life after the loss, causes her pain and even anguish, which is completely normal and I was pleased to see it well represented in a romantic film.
Hay detalles que eran interesantes de abordar y que fueron dejados de lado por darle mayor foco a otras cosas, por ejemplo Mira es dibujante, ilustra y no recuerdo si también escribe, cuentos para niños, y en la película se deja ver que ella ha estado pasando por un bajón creativo, o más bien ha proyectado su tristeza en lo que ilustra y cuenta, obviamente ésto no es algo que la editorial quiera vender y aunque le han dado su espacio de luto, ya han pasado 2 años y es el momento de cumplir con el contrato, éste detalle que podría haber sido super productivo de explotar en la película, no se toma tanto en cuenta como debería, si bien es cierto no lo dejan inconcluso (aunque un poco sí pasa eso), no siento que le hayan dado el abordaje que merecía.
For example, Mira is a cartoonist, she illustrates and I don't remember if she also writes children's stories, and in the film we can see that she has been going through a creative slump, or rather she has projected her sadness in what she illustrates and tells, obviously this is not something that the publisher wants to sell and although they have given her her space to mourn, 2 years have passed and it's time to fulfil the contract, this detail that could have been super productive to exploit in the film, is not taken into account as much as it should, although it is true that they don't leave it unfinished (although it does happen a bit), I don't feel that they have given it the approach it deserved.
Mientras que por el otro lado se enfocaron más en darle protagonismo a Celine Dion, quien no lo he mencionado pero tiene un papel especial e importante en ésta historia, pues actúa un poco como la voz de la razón para Rob, a quien acaba de conocer y que realmente debería estar escribiendo un artículo sobre ella, en vez de estar contándole sobre la chica misteriosa que le escribe mensajes de texto 🤷🏻♀️, y aunque entiendo que querían dar un lindo mensaje sobre el amor y acompañarlo de la increíble música de Celine (cosa que logran a la perfección), se me hizo innecesario darle tanta importancia sobre todo porque en un punto parece hasta irreal el nivel de involucramiento que tiene ella en la historia.
While on the other side they focused more on giving the spotlight to Celine Dion, who I haven't mentioned but has a special and important role in this story, as she acts a bit like the voice of reason for Rob, who he has just met and really should be writing an article about her, instead of telling him about the mysterious girl who texts him 🤷🏻♀️, and although I understand that they wanted to give a nice message about love and accompany it with Celine's incredible music (which they achieve perfectly), I felt it was unnecessary to give her so much importance, especially because at one point it seems unreal the level of involvement she has in the story.

Priyanka Chopra definitivamente es el centro de la película en cuanto a actuación se refiere, la capacidad que tuvo al menos en este proyecto para transmitir todas las emociones que estaba experimentando su personaje me pareció fantástica, y es que dada la naturaleza de su historia hay un par de escenas donde ella aparece llorando, y si a mi que me cuesta llorar con las películas y libros me conmovió en algunas partes, quiere decir que su trabajo estuvo bien hecho, ahora bien, yo entiendo y sé con quien está casada ella y me parece divino, pero, ¿era necesario que Nick, su esposo, apareciera en la película?, o sea yo entiendo que hay personas que le encantan esta clase de cameos, pero creo que su aparición no sumó absolutamente nada a la trama, sobre todo porque yo sentí que era un pequeño intento de comedia que salió mal.

Sam Heughan por otro lado sí me quedo a deber, o sea su actuación la sentí acorde pero no memorable y en algunos casos incluso se me hizo un poco sobreactuado, sobre todo al inicio cuando comienza a despertar en su personaje el interés por conocer a la chica de los mensajes, creo que con él apresuraron mucho los sentimientos de amor, más aún cuando te lo pintan como el escéptico que a causa de una dura ruptura ahora no quiere saber nada del tema romántico, así que a nivel de actuación esta transición a mi se me hizo un poco forzada de su parte, ahora cuando se trataba de escenas con la protagonista femenina, la actuación mejoraba muchísimo y se veían muy naturales, lo que me hace dudar un poco si estos fallos se debieron a él directamente como actor, al guión o a la dirección.
Sam Heughan on the other hand, I felt his performance was not memorable and in some cases it was a bit overacted, especially at the beginning when he begins to awaken in his character the interest in meeting the girl in the messages, I think they rushed the feelings of love with him, even more so when they paint him as the sceptic that because of a hard breakup now doesn't want to know anything about the romantic theme, so at the acting level this transition was a bit forced on his part, now when it came to scenes with the female protagonist, the acting improved a lot and they looked very natural, which makes me doubt a little if these failures were due to him directly as an actor, to the script or to the direction.
Me parece que es una película muy linda y en la que trataron de cuidar los más posible los detalles, o al menos los detalles importantes, obviamente tiene sus fallas pero estas tampoco hacen imposible ver la película, porque el general es una buena historia, además que tiene un excelente soundtrack, porque algo que tiene Celine Dion, son buenas canciones de amor.
It seems to me that it is a very nice film and in which they tried to take care of the details as much as possible, or at least important details, obviously it has its flaws but these do not make it impossible to see the film, because in general it is a good story, plus it has an excellent soundtrack, because something that Celine Dion has for you, is good love songs.
