   The story of love at first sight (The statistical probability of love at first sight - Vanessa Caswill - 2023) is not out of this world where two people meet at an airport by chance or causality, whatever you want to call it.

   One of the protagonists misses their flight and boom! They meet, and so does the person they like. classic. Mmm, yeah.

   Hadley (played by goddess Haley Lu Richardson) and Oliver (played by god Ben Hardy) are said to have met, the two hit it off and everything worked out as it should.

   They disagree and then the affair begins. She had to attend her father's wedding in London, and he, well, he was back in his own city because he had another rather special event.

   It was all a bit cliché, I'm not going to lie to you, the situation, the location, some of the supporting characters, especially the fairy godmother type who appeared several times throughout the film.

   However, the two of them tear up the screen with so much chemistry that I can't help but be subjective because I really love everything they do. When Shakespeare comes out they win me over, which is one of my weaknesses.

   A beautiful film that makes you think about life, love, the importance of the people around us: the ones who come and the ones who go, the ones we meet in unexpected places and at unexpected times.

Today I want to come and tell you about a movie that I watched hoping to relax from all the homework I have to hand in at the university and I found that it was a movie about statistics and love, making me pay attention to mathematics for the first time.

El día de hoy quiero venir hablarles de una película que me vi esperando poder relajarme de todas las tareas que debo entregar en la universidad encontrándome que una película de estadísticas y amor, haciendo que por primera vez me llamara la atención la matemática.

   The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight (It has a very long title) or is English Love At Firts Sigth a movie that you can find on Netflix to watch it on a rainy day, at night or with your partner. Among the nice cast we can find Ben Hardy as Oliver Jones, Haley Lu as Hadley Sulliva, Jameela Jamil as the narrator, Rob Delaney as Andre Sullivan and Sally Phillips as Tessa Jones, directed by Vanessa Caswill.

   La Probabilidad Estadística del Amor a primera Vista (Tiene un título muy largo) o es ingles Love At Firts Sigth una película que la pueden encontrar en Netflix para verla en un día lluvioso, de noche o con tu pareja.    Knowing this we can say that we find ourselves with the premise of a love that arose from the probability of missing a flight for four minutes of delay and as the title itself says a love in a hurry and at first sight, from the beginning we can find the narrator who is not known where she came from, talking about and of the characters throughout the film, even resolving or meddling in some situations between the two.

   Sabiendo esto podemos decir que nos encontramos con la premisa de un amor que surgió por la probabilidad de perder un vuelo por cuatro minutos de retraso y como lo dice el mismo título un amor apresurado y a primera vista, desde el principio nos podemos encontrar con la narradora que no se sabe de dónde salió, hablando sobre y de los personajes en toda la película, incluso resolviendo o entrometiéndose en algunas situaciones entre los dos.

   On one side we have Hadley who is a 20 year old girl who has to take a flight to London because her dad is getting married again and well you can say that statistically she is always late to places plus she is always running out of battery, the general breakdown of her is that she feels that her relationship with her father has been broken by the marriage breakup and it is something that does not assimilate well, personally she fell well and I feel that she also felt that feeling in a situation like this.

   Por un lado tenemos a Hadley quien es una chica de 20 años quien tiene que tomar un vuelo para Londres porque su papá se va a casar de nuevo y bueno se puede decir que estadísticamente siempre llega tarde a los sitios además de que siempre anda sin batería, el quiebre general de ella es que siente que la relación con su padre se ha quebrado por la ruptura matrimonial y es algo que no lo asimila bien, en lo personal se cayó bien y siento que también sintiera ese sentimiento en una situación así.

   On the other hand we have Oliver that for everything that has happened has an obsession with having everything under control from germs to not receive any kind of surprise if not that everything is coldly calculated so to speak, in what the film shows us we can understand why this and if family situation is sad because it is like a chronicle of death foretold by his mother that I know that does not enter into discussion but I am surprised how he takes if situation and how he takes it.

   otro lado tenemos a Oliver que por todo lo que ha pasado tiene como una obsesión con tener todo bajo control desde los gérmenes hasta no recibir ningún tipo de sorpresa si no que todo este fríamente calculado por así decirlo, en lo que nos muestra la película podemos entender el porqué de esto y si situación familiar que es triste porque es como una crónica de muerte anunciada por parte de su madre que sé que no entra en discusión pero me sorprende como lleva si situación y en la forma que se la toma.

   The truth is that I was looking for a romantic movie like this, what maybe I didn't like but I think it's more because of my taste is the love at first sight thing, I mean that someone I haven't even known for a week becomes very important in my life, I don't find it logical but I guess that's why statistics were also used here, but apart from the fact that it's not my favorite cliché I feel that it worked out well.

   La verdad si estaba buscando una película romántica así, lo que tal vez no me firule pero creo es más por mis gustos es lo del amor a primera vista, o sea eso de que alguien que no tengo ni una semana de conocer se vuelva muy importante en mi vida no le encuentro una lógica pero supongo que por ello también se utilizó la estadística aquí, pero quitando el hecho de que no es mi cliché favorito siento que se desenvolvió bien.

   This story is like an opening of a relationship between two strangers who well...met and loved each other in a very sweet way. But thanks to the narrator we know what is going to happen with them for the rest of their lives in the midst of statistics which makes it a little different from youth movies of this type but it's not like it generated anything more than entertainment for me so I think it can pass with no shame or glory I would give it 5/10.

   Esta historia es como una apertura de una relación entre dos extraños que bueno…se conocieron y se amaron de una manera muy dulce. Pero gracias a la narradora sabemos que va a pasar con ellos por el resto de su vida en medio de estadística cosa que le hace un poco diferente a las películas juveniles de este tipo pero no es como que me generara algo más que entretenimiento así que creo que puede pasar sin pena ni gloria le daría 5/10.

   I thought I'd seen all that there is to see in rom-com flicks but I was wrong. I had this movie sitting on my PC for close to a month and I kept giving it a side glance. So I watched it today and nodded in satisfaction! I rarely do that for romance movies because it's the same MO. I expected nothing different with Love At First Sight (2023). I'm here to say there are some interesting things about this movie.

   This film is an adaptation of the 2011 novel titled "The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight" by Jennifer E. Smith. Directed by Vanessa Caswill, Love At First Sight focuses on two people who meet at the airport due to a missed flight and fall in love. The young man, Oliver (played by Ben Hardy), is British and a student at Yale researching the statistical probability of love at first sight. The young lady, Hadley (played by Haley Lu Richardson) is an American and a student.

   Hadley misses her flight by four minutes and books another. While waiting, Oliver offers her his phone charger because her phone battery is low. It's a seven-hour flight and they start to talk, learning their fears and likes, and getting to know one another. When they land in London, they split and go their separate ways. What is the probability that this couple will find each other in one of the world’s biggest cities?

   Review

   An intriguing way to begin this film was the statement by the narrator,

   This is not a story about love. It is a story about fate. And statistics.

   This just about sums up the movie. The plot is good and the storytelling is well executed. It's what most romance lovers would expect but the spice of the film in my opinion is the presence of the omniscient narrator, played by Jameela Jamil who follows the main characters everywhere, taking on different roles (although it's funny they don't recognise her) and helps them to fall in love. So aside from it being a rom-com, there's the addition of some fantasy to the plot. I think this elevates the film. Also, the concepts of fate, love and choices are considered giving the audience some food for thought.

   

   

   

   
   The director and cast make viewers reflect on love as a choice. It's not about the emotions as commonly portrayed, which are fickle and subject to change, but the determination of two people to love. In one of the scenes, Hadley's Dad (played by Rob Delaney) said "Love is a lot of work" and he's right about that. It's commitment and that means a lot of work. When either of the parties stops trying, the wall begins to crumble and soon the foundation will give way, leading to a collapse.

   The performance of the cast is excellent. Haley Lu Richardson and Ben Hardy deliver such convincing acting. They embody their characters perfectly and capture the essence of their journeys. Also, their chemistry is believable, making the blossoming romance a delightful experience. It's easy to root for them to fall in love.

   The direction, cinematography and seamless editing make the story unfold in an enchanting manner. Yes, it's cheesy in some parts, yet original in most of it. I love the balance of sweet and sour moments that give the film an emotionally resonating depth.

   Overall, Love at First Sight is a delightful film I'll recommend to all rom-com fans. It tugs at the heartstrings and reminds us that love is possible in chance encounters. I'll give it 3 stars out of 5.

   First of all, I want to apologize for having disappeared from the platform for a couple of weeks. I was sick and between my work and my recovery I didn't have time to see anything, much less share anything with you during all this time. Next, when I wanted to watch something a couple of nights ago I wanted to choose something simple, short, because I am still recovering from my illness and I get sleepy very early, so I chose this hour and a half romantic comedy that recently premiered on Netflix.

   Primeramente, quiero pedirles disculpas por haberme desaparecido de la plataforma un par de semanas. Me encontraba enfermo y entre mi trabajo y mi recuperación no tuve tiempo de ver nada ni mucho menos compartirles algo durante todo este tiempo. Acto seguido, cuando quise ver algo hace un par de noches quise escoger algo sencillo, corto, porque aún me encuentro recuperándome de mi enfermedad y me da sueño muy temprano, así que escogí esta comedia romántica de hora y media que se estrenó en Netflix recientemente.

   I didn't know anything about this movie before watching it. Although the title and the poster made me presume that I would not see a masterpiece of cinema, the reason why I ventured was because of the presence of Haley Lu Richardson, who demonstrated great chemistry with Cole Sprouse in Five Feet Apart and confirmed her talent in Kogonada's spectacular Columbus, one of the best independent films I've seen in recent years. As can be deduced from the title Love at First Sight (also called The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight after the novel on which it is based) is a romantic film from start to finish: Hadley (Haley Lu Richardson) must take a plane from New York to London to attend her father's second wedding. As is her custom, she misses the flight by just a few minutes, but gets a ticket on the next flight that will leave an hour and a half later and will be able to arrive in London with just enough time to attend her father's wedding. As is also customary in Hadley, his phone is charging and he approaches some charging modules at the airport, but the only one that is free does not work. That's when a young man who is in the next module offers him his charger.

   Este muchacho es Oliver (Ben Hardy), un inglés que también debe volar a Londres por un compromiso familiar y sí, casualmente viajará en el mismo vuelo que Hadley. A partir de allí se sucederán una serie de acontecimientos que algunos pueden llamar azar, pero los más románticos llamarán destino.    As in many other romantic comedies, the main couple has different personality traits. Hadley is a little freer, chaotic perhaps, while Oliver is more rational, all the time thinking and sharing statistics, data and numbers. But when they meet, both of them are going to break their own rules a little thanks to the presence of the other. It is logical that when reading the premise and seeing the title of the film we wonder if we believe in love at first sight. There are those who say that love does not arise immediately and that at first sight you can only feel a physical attraction, but there are those who - romantics to death - believe that yes, it is possible to fall in love with a person as soon as you see them. I do believe in love at first sight, but to better explain the way I understand it, I will leave you a paragraph from The Joke, the first novel by Milan Kundera, who recently passed away. The quote is the following: “There is often talk of love at first sight; I know perfectly well that love tends to make a legend of itself and retrospectively mythologize its beginnings; I do not intend, therefore, to say that it was such a sudden love, but what there was was a certain clairvoyance: the essence of his being - or to be more precise - the essence of what he later was for me, that I understood it, I felt it, I saw it immediately and right away; He brought me to himself, as people are attracted to revealed truths." I believe that it is possible to feel that clairvoyance that Kundera talks about, as if the essence of the other person was transmitted to you in an instant. You don't know it rationally yet, you don't understand it, but you feel it.

   Como en muchas otras comedias románticas, la pareja protagonista tiene rasgos diferentes en su personalidad. Hadley es un poco más libre, caótica tal vez, mientras que Oliver es más racional, todo el tiempo está pensando y compartiendo estadísticas, datos y números. Pero al conocerse ambos van a romper un poco sus propias reglas gracias a la presencia del otro. Es lógico que al leer la premisa y ver el título de la película nos preguntemos si creemos en el amor a primera vista. Hay quienes dicen que el amor no surge de inmediato y que a primera vista sólo se puede sentir una atracción física, pero hay quienes - románticos a morir - creen que sí, que es posible enamorarse de una persona apenas verla. Yo sí creo en el amor a primera vista, pero para explicar mejor la forma en que lo entiendo les dejaré un párrafo de La Broma, la primera novela de Milan Kundera, recientemente fallecido. La cita es la siguiente: “Suele hablarse de amores a primera vista; sé perfectamente que el amor tiende a hacer una leyenda de sí mismo y a mitificar retrospectivamente sus comienzos; no pretendo, por eso, decir que se tratase de un amor tan repentino, pero lo que si hubo fue una cierta clarividencia: la esencia de su ser - o para ser más precisa - la esencia de lo que luego él fue para mí, la comprendí, la sentí, la vi de inmediato y enseguida; él me trajo a sí mismo, como le atraen a la gente las verdades reveladas”. Yo creo que sí es posible sentir esa clarividencia de la que habla Kundera, como si la esencia de la otra persona se te transmitiera en un instante. Aún no lo sabes de forma racional, no lo entiendes, pero lo sientes.

   The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is just another ordinary romantic comedy. It's cheesy, full of clichés and coincidences that force things a bit between the protagonists. For a true love at first sight story with a great script and interesting dialogue I recommend Before Sunrise with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. However, Love at First Sight is a movie that's entertaining enough to be pretty without being surprising, and while it can be cheesy, I think Haley Lu Richardson does it as well as ever. Perhaps a little more chemistry between her and Ben Hardy would have been desirable, but it is not one of the worst connections I have seen on screen either. Finally, I think it is a film made for the desperately romantic, those who believe that these things only happen in movies, but deep down they feel the desire to ever experience a similar scenario.    The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight es una comedia romántica más del montón. Es cursi, está llena de clichés y de casualidades que forzan un poco las cosas entre los protagonistas. Para una verdadera historia de amor a primera vista con un gran guión y diálogos interesantes recomiendo Before Sunrise con Ethan Hawke y Julie Delpy. Sin embargo, Love at First Sight es una película lo suficientemente entretenida como para ser bonita sin ser sorprendente y aunque puede resultar cursi, creo que Haley Lu Richardson lo hace tan bien como siempre. Quizás hubiera sido deseable algo más de química entre ella y Ben Hardy, pero tampoco es de las peores conexiones que he visto en pantalla. Finalmente, creo que es una película realizada para los desesperadamente románticos, aquellos que creen que esas cosas sólo pasan en las películas, pero en el fondo sienten el deseo de vivir alguna vez un escenario parecido, ¿alguno de ustedes se ha enamorado a primera vista? ¿creen que sea posible?    Last night I started to check a little Netflix and I was surprised with a great variety of movies and the best thing is that we can find all kinds of genres there. This time I did not see an animated one, nor an action one, but a romance one and I was encouraged to watch it because of several reviews from the community and each one shared a point of view, without a doubt the most interesting thing is how love at first sight is present, with just a close of eyes already fall in love, where fun, romance, adventure and the union of two young people will lead us to enjoy a story, where I am sure that many have gone through that moment of love, since we are human beings.

   La noche de ayer me puse a revisar un poco Netflix y me llevé la sorpresa con una gran variedad películas y lo mejor es que podemos encontrar de todo tipo de género allí. Esta vez no vi una animada, ni una de acción, sino una de romance y me animé a verla por varias reseñas de la comunidad y cada una nos compartía un punto de vista, sin duda lo más interesante es como el amor a primera vista está presenta, con un solo cerrar de ojos ya se enamoran, donde la diversión, el romance, aventura y la unión de dos jóvenes nos llevará a disfrutar una historia, donde estoy seguro de que muchos han pasado por ese momento de amor, puesto que somos seres humanos.

   I rarely see that kind of movies, actually never, since all the love stories are the same, which give beginning to each of the stages of love and how little by little that connection and that bond is increasing, no doubt on several occasions I saw movies with my sister and at the end I saw them complete. This new installment was a movie that impacted me, since I have spent several moments like that, and one manages to feel identified, since love is the most beautiful thing and even more when you are surprised with a girl at first sight, being the happiest moment and from there everything could change, no doubt sometimes are things of fate and the chances that these things happen are small and that is why they are unique moments. So to see something like that and everything starts from a simple encounter is something incredible, since it could happen to anyone in this life.

   A film that presents us with very nice, real things and a series of aspects to take this love story to another level, being a unique story, it is also impressive how fate and the numbers were always in their favor, making each of the things went wonderfully and above all having the opportunity to get to know each taste and way of being of both young people. As it was also the shortest plane flight and that happens when you are distracted, things happen very fast and when you realize that time is gone, and this is one of the things I liked, since it gives a special touch to the story, and allows to keep that love in play.

   Ese tipo de películas muy poco los veo, en realidad nunca, ya que todas las historias de amor son lo misma, la cual dan inicio a cada una de las etapas del amor y como poco a poco esa conexión y ese lazo va aumentando, sin duda en varias oportunidades vi películas con mi hermana y al final las veía completa. Esta nueva entrega fue una película que me impactó, puesto que he pasado varías momentos como esos, y uno logra sentirse identificado, puesto que el amor es lo más bonito y más aún cuando te sorprendes con una chica a primera vista, siendo el momento más feliz y a partir de allí todo podría cambiar, sin duda a veces son cosas del destino y las probabilidades que pasen esas cosas son pequeña y por eso son momentos únicos. Así que ver algo como eso y todo comience desde un simple encuentro es algo increíble, puesto que le podría pasar a cualquier en esta vida.

   Una película que nos presenta cosas muy bonitas, reales y una serie de aspectos para llevar esta historia de amor a otro nivel, siendo una historia única, además es impresionante como el destino y los números siempre estaban a su favor, logrando que cada una de las cosas salieran de maravilla y sobre todo tener la oportunidad de ir conociendo cada gusto y manera de ser de ambos jóvenes. Como también fue el vuelo de avión más corto y eso pasa cuando uno está distraído, las cosas pasan muy rápido y cuando uno se da cuenta se fue el tiempo, y es aquí una de las cosas que me gusto, puesto que le da un toque especial a la historia, y permite mantener ese amor en juego.

Also, the most interesting thing and makes us wonder how long will this love last? Are they going to separate once the flight is over? Will the data be correct? And from there on it keeps us attentive and see what will happen to this young couple.

   Being a success and a movie with a unique touch, charming and I managed to enjoy, I thought I was going to get bored, but it was not so and see something different, where this story leads us to think many things, since love is something incredible and at the least expected moment comes, achieving that connection that will make us happy and we will give everything until we achieve something more. In addition, each of the characters that make life in the same manage to get into the role of love and allows to create a great connection, despite being different tastes and different ways of seeing the world, being Hadley and Oliver, both achieve that bond that will lead them to have the best old and enjoy every second of that love.

   Una trama que es muy buena, romántica, donde nuestra pareja por casualidad tiene un encuentro normal en un aeropuerto, dos personas totalmente distintas y sobre todo lo impresionante, el lugar, la cual fluye una gran cantidad de personas todos los días y encontrarse con ese amor a primera vista y de esa manera crear toda una película, momento felices, de incomodidad y un amor en juego, siendo algo distinto, sencillo y alegre. Además, lo más interesante y nos lleva a preguntarnos ¿Cuánto durará ese amor? ¿Se van a separar una vez que termine el vuelo? ¿Serán los datos correctos? Y a partir de allí nos mantiene atento y ver qué pasará con esa pareja de jóvenes.

   Siendo un éxito y una película con un toque único, encantador y logré disfrutar, pensé que me iba a aburrir, pero no fue así y ver algo distinto, donde esta historia nos lleva a pensar muchas cosas, puesto que el amor es algo increíble y en el momento menos esperado llega, logrando esa conexión que nos hará feliz y vamos a dar todo hasta lograr algo más.    Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv hace unos días ví una película de Netflix que me encantó y que me hizo recordar algunas de mis favoritas en el género de romance como Love, Rosie o Siempre el mismo día. Soy muy amante de las películas románticas y también de las de drama, hace un tiempo que no me enganchaba tanto con una película y nunca pensé que fuera a pasar con una de Netflix ya que suelen ser bastante clichés y repetitivas. Tal vez la que les vengo a recomendar hoy tenga algo de cliché pero es muy entretenida y los actores tienen muchísima química cosa que me encantó y que hizo que me gustara mucho más la película, sin duda ahora es una de mis favoritas y puede que la vea muchas veces jaja.

I'm a big lover of romantic movies and also drama movies, it's been a while since I was so hooked with a movie and I never thought it would happen with a Netflix one since they are usually quite cliché and repetitive.    Love at first sight es una película de género romance y está protagonizada por Ben Hardy (Oliver) y Haley Lu Richardson (Hadley) ambos son dos jóvenes que se conocen por pura casualidad en un aeropuerto, ella está preparándose para ir a la boda de su padre y el está de viaje a Londres también. Ambos se ponen a conversar mientras esperan su vuelo y ya se va sintiendo como la química entre ambos es muy fuerte.    Las escenas son grabadas en Londres y tiene una temática muy bonita de los lugares que recorren ambos dónde podemos ver ciertas costumbres británicas y la manera en la que enfocan cada escena es espectacular, me recordó mucho a Love Rosie por las escenas en el aeropuerto y también por la química entre ambos que traspasó la pantalla, también me parece que los actores son diferentes a lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver, son más naturales y realistas, nunca habia visto nada de Ben Hardy solo su participación en Bohemian Rhapsody donde hace el papel de uno de los integrantes del grupo Queen, pero este dato solo lo ví por internet porque la verdad hace mucho tiempo que ví la película y no lo recordaba. Y ella ha salido en varias películas también cómo The White Lotus, Unpregnant y A dos metros de ti.

   El tema del romance visto desde el punto de vista de las estadísticas, dónde se menciona muchas veces que tantas personas se conocen en un aeropuerto y quedan flechadas y cómo las relaciones por esta razón son duraderas es bastante alto. Si nos ponemos a pensar cuántas veces no hemos quedado flechados con alguna persona la cual hemos visto en el supermercado o en la calle, es bastante alto el porcentaje pero de allí a qué se forme una relación como tal ya va a depender de que las dos personas lo quieran así y en la película mencionan cómo más allá de la suerte o el destino, para que una relación se dé tiene que ser por que ambos lo quieran así y hagan lo necesario por estar juntos. Oliver es un obsesivo con las estadísticas pero me pareció tierno que cerca del final de la película se de cuenta de que no todo tiene que ser calculado.

   Ojalá sigan sacando historias tan bonitas como está en Netflix, aunque no es del todo original el tema lo que destacó en esta película fue la elección de los actores y la química que tuvieron de principio a fin. Estuve durante la hora y media de duración de la película riéndome de los protagonistas y sonriendo ante cada escena, sobre todo la del avión dónde ambos quieren ir al baño pero solo hay uno y de paso está ocupado, esa escena me dejó mal JAJAJA 😂. Después me puse a buscar TikToks y me encantaría poder verlos a los dos en otras producciones, sea en plan de romance o también de drama que es lo que me gusta más del cine 😂

   I wish they keep bringing out stories as nice as this one on Netflix, although the theme is not entirely original what stood out in this movie was the choice of the actors and the chemistry they had from beginning to end. I was during the hour and a half long movie laughing at the main characters and smiling at every scene, especially the one on the plane where they both want to go to the bathroom but there is only one and by the way it's busy, that scene made me sick HAHA 😂. Then I started looking for TikToks and I would love to see them both in other productions, either in romance or drama which is what I like the most in movies 😂

Anyway, yesterday Netflix notified me about a movie, yes this one, and the strange thing is that I have disabled the notifications or I even think I hallucinated it, I don't know anymore. The thing is that today I came back to see that movie and maybe share it here, exactly what I'm doing.

   The statistical probability of love at first sight. Quite a long title for a movie, but who cares? I guess me, hahaha. I was kind of excited to see Haley Lu because I recognized her from other movies.

   Hoy me sucedió algo que pensé que sería el destino, curioso hecho porque en la película que a continuación les voy a presentar trata del destino y las probabilidades... En fin, ayer Netflix me notificó acerca de una película, sí esta misma, y lo extraño es que yo tengo desactivadas las notificaciones o incluso creo que lo aluciné, ya no lo sé. La cosa es que hoy volví para ver esa película y quizá compartirla aquí, justamente lo que estoy haciendo.

   La probabilidad estadística del amor a primera vista. Un título bastante largo para una película, ¿pero a quién le importa? Supongo que a mi, jajaja. Estaba algo emocionada al ver a Haley Lu porque la reconocí de otras películas.

   Empezamos con una narración, toda la película tiene este formato, y no sé si sea algo bueno o no, creo que a mi se me hizo un poco molesto en ocasiones. En la primera escena entra Hadley quien desafortunadamente pierde un vuelo de New York a Londres, con el poco tiempo disponible logra encontrar otro vuelo porque debe viajar a la boda de su padre, quién se casa por segunda vez. Hadley mientras le queda algo de tiempo nota que su celular no tiene batería y se dirige a un lugar especial de carga pero no encuentra sitio, un joven amablemente la mira y a través de los ojos de la pantalla como si nosotros fuésemos ese joven, es cuando sabemos que causó una impresión en él la imagen de Hadley, por lo mismo que decide cederlo su lugar para cargar su celular y Hadley se niega, sin embargo terminan comiendo juntos antes de tomar el mismo vuelo.

   Ok, not to be too sharp… I didn't like the movie. In fact, I did some research and saw that it comes from a novel, I haven't read the novel to give an opinion from that perspective. If it were an original production I would have said that I would love it to be cheesier and more romantic, the characters seem a little stiff and cold for my taste. When they are romantic comedies I usually expect the characters to explode with love. It is quite simple and at times it looked a little cute but it lacked more spark, on the other hand it touches on important topic that seemed taken very lightly, probably from my perspective I would not recommend it.

   Ok, para no ser tan afilada… no me gustó la película. De hecho, investigué un poco y vi que viene de una novela, no he leído la novela para dar una opinión desde esa perspectiva. Si fuese una producción original hubiera dicho que me encantaría que fuese más cursi y más romántica, los personajes se ven un poco tiesos y fríos para mi gusto. Cuando son comedias románticas por lo general espero que los personajes exploten de amor. Es bastante sencilla y en ocasiones se veía algo tierna pero le faltó más chispa, por otro lado toca temas importantes que parecieron tomados muy a ligera, probablemente desde mi perspectiva no la recomendaría.
