One of the anime that most interested me in the middle of last year both for its visual quality and its story something different from the usual and development of it was Lycoris Recoil which in my opinion can easily be among the best new anime released in 2022, being a work produced by A1-Pictures it is very easy to assume that it would be a work of high quality at least at the artistic level but the result was a very good story and animation with very exciting scenes and moments that after its first season managed to get a pretty good score of 8. 21 on MyAnimeList which is one of the main platforms to rate anime. And being an anime of only 13 chapters, it is very convenient and practical to watch it in a week without major inconveniences even if you don't have much time.
Lycoris Recoil is based on a very interesting story where despite focusing on a slightly realistic aspect as it is about the city of Japan in a current time, it also has a fantasy approach to have a superior but secret technological development and the existence of a society called the Alan Sons, which is a select group of people who are destined to greatness and to stand out as the best in their goal. In this group is part of the protagonist named Chisato Nishikigi who after obtaining a unique mechanical heart manages to be the best assassin and be able to see the moving bullets and dodge them, it is here where the Lycoris group also enters the scene which is a secret government organization formed by teenagers trained to kill criminals or terrorists stealthily without anyone in the country realizing that there is crime or something that may affect the false belief of perfect peace. I have always been attracted to anime that decide to include this kind of stories where secret or governmental organizations control everything from the shadows and manipulate everything that happens and this one was no exception.
The development of the story and how the characters are presented as well as creating empathy with them is very good and entertaining, at first we simply see the simply inhuman capabilities that Chisato has and how it seems to be an invincible character who knows that no one can hit her with a bullet in addition to having strong melee skills, but despite all that she refuses to kill people which is contrary to what should be her natural talent but little by little the reason for this decision is shown and the reasons why she decides to do everything her way and the reasons that led her to be who she is, also the bond between Chisato and the second protagonist Takina is created.
The entertaining thing about the development of the story is that it is not based simply on showing scenes of action and combat to fill the chapter or to tell all the events between scenes of shooting, also used in a correct way elements of drama, mystery and even some melancholic scenes so that in the end they manage to combine all this in a good way so that the anime does not feel simply as an action story without more elements in it. The contrast between the first chapters, which are mostly more cheerful and with entertaining action, and the later chapters, where drama and surprises become the main part of the story, gives a very interesting result of emotion in the viewer.
The animation work done by A1-Picture in this anime is of a great level and can be appreciated from the first moment to give us an incredible Opening which has a peculiar style where we can appreciate a striking contrast between dark and melancholic scenes recreated with dark and strong colors, as well as more cheerful scenes of more vivid and intense colors, the Opening in turn is accompanied by a pretty good song where fast rhythms are the basis of the whole Opening which generates a feeling of excitement that combines in a great way with its artistic design and its own history. In general terms the animation of Lycoris Recoil is quite good where mostly stands out for very neat designs and intense colors and although in most of the anime the animation is not extremely detailed the same is very nice to see at all times and as you might expect in specific scenes and important moments of the story the level of animation increases quite a lot and manages to get incredible scenes and designs where the effort is noticeable. Its Ending has a totally different style from the Opening and focuses on pastel colors, although the music of the Ending also has a fast and lively melody it is at a softer and calmer rhythm than the Opening, giving a more relaxing effect at the end of the chapters.
Although the end of the first season of Lycoris Recoil was pretty good and kept until the end the surprises in the story and a result that leaves open the possibility of a new season, it ended up being in my opinion a little disappointing in some aspects where despite having very useful dramatic elements for the end of the season also ended up delivering a kind of happy result that could feel a little forced and that everything turned out simply by the power of the script, happy endings are always good but when everything is fixed and there is no sequel to what was an intense combat is also a little unsatisfactory, without major Spoiler the end manage to hide the whole truth about the group of assassins Lycoris when the best option and the most credible was that it was not so, beyond the end a little forced in my opinion, the whole story and development of Lycoris Recoil is very good and well worth seeing this work.

Uno de los animes que más me intereso a mediados del año pasado tanto por su calidad visual como por su historia algo diferente a lo acostumbrado y desarrollo de la misma fue Lycoris Recoil el cual para mi criterio fácilmente puede estar entre los mejores animes nuevos estrenados en el 2022, al tratarse de una obra producida por A1- Pictures es muy sencillo suponer que se tratara de una obra de gran calidad al menos al nivel artístico pero el resultado fue una historia y animación muy buena con escenas y momentos muy emocionantes que luego de su primera temporada logro conseguir un puntaje bastante bueno de 8.21 en MyAnimeList la cual es una de las principales plataformas para valorar los animes. Y al ser un anime de apenas 13 capítulos resulta muy cómodo y práctico para verlo en una semana sin mayores inconvenientes así no cuentes con mucho tiempo.
Lycoris Recoil se basa en una historia bastante interesante en donde a pesar de enfocarse es un aspecto ligeramente realista al tratarse de la ciudad de Japón en una época actual también cuenta con un enfoque fantasioso al tener un desarrollo tecnológico superior pero secreto y la existencia de una sociedad llamada los Hijos Alan que se trata de un selecto grupo de personas que están destinas a la grandeza y a destacar como las mejores en su objetivo. En este grupo forma parte la protagonista llamada Chisato Nishikigi quien luego de obtener un corazón mecánico único logra ser la mejor asesina y ser capaz de poder ver las balas en movimiento y esquivarlas, es aquí en donde entra también en escena el grupo Lycoris que es una organización secreta del gobierno conformado por adolescentes entrenadas para asesinar criminales o terroristas de manera sigilosa sin que nadie en el país se dé cuenta de que existe el crimen o algo que pueda afectar la falsa creencia de paz perfecta. Siempre me han llamado la atención los animes que deciden incluir este tipo de historias en donde organizaciones secretas o gubernamentales controlan todo desde las sombras y manipulan todo lo que sucede y este no fue la excepción.
El desarrollo de la historia y como se van presentando los personajes asi como se va creando la empatía con ellos es muy buena y entretenida, en un principio simplemente vamos viendo las capacidades simplemente inhumanas que tiene Chisato y como parece ser un personaje invencible que sabe que nadie le podrá acertar una bala además de tener fuertes habilidades de combate cuerpo a cuerpo, pero a pesar de todo eso se niega a asesinar personas lo cual es contrario a lo que debería ser su talento natural pero poco a poco se va mostrando la razón de esta decisión y los motivos por los cuales ella decide hacer todo a su manera y los motivos que la llevaron a ser quien es, también se va creando el vínculo entre Chisato y la segunda protagonista Takina.
Lo entretenido del desarrollo de la historia es que no se basan simplemente en ir mostrando escenas de acción y combates para rellenar el capítulo o para contar todos los sucesos entre escenas de disparos, también se utiliza de una forma correcta elementos de drama, misterio y hasta algunas escenas melancólicas de manera que al final logran combinar todo esto de buena manera para que el anime no se sienta simplemente como una historia de acción sin más elementos en la misma. El contraste entre los primeros capítulos en donde mayormente serán capítulos más alegres y con acción entretenida y los capítulos posteriores en donde el drama y las sorpresas pasan a ser la parte fundamente en la historia da un resultado de emoción en el espectador muy interesante.
El trabajo de animación hecho por A1-Picture en este anime es de un gran nivel y se puede apreciar desde el primer instante al entregarnos un Opening increíble el cual tiene un estilo peculiar en donde podemos apreciar un contraste llamativo entre escenas oscuras y melancólicas recreadas con colores oscuros y fuertes, así como también escenas más alegres de colores más vivos e intensos, el Opening a su vez es acompañado por una canción bastante buena en donde los ritmos rápidos son la base de todo el Opening con lo cual se genera un sentimiento de emoción que combina de gran manera con su diseño artístico y su propia historia. En términos generales la animación de Lycoris Recoil es bastante buena en donde mayormente se destaca por diseños muy pulcros y colores intensos y aunque en la mayoría del anime la animación no es extremadamente detallada la misma resulta muy agradable para ver en todo momento y como se podría esperar en escenas y momentos específicos importantes de la historia el nivel de la animación aumenta bastante y logra conseguir escenas y diseños increíbles en donde se nota el esfuerzo. Su Ending cuenta con un estilo totalmente diferente el Opening y se enfoca en colores pastel, aunque la música del Ending tambien cuenta con una melodía rápida y animada la misma está a un ritmo más suave y calmado que la del Openingn dando un efecto más relajante al final de los capítulos.
Aunque el final de la primera temporada de Lycoris Recoil estuvo bastante bien y mantuvo hasta el final las sorpresas en la historia y un resultado que deja abierta la posibilidad de nueva temporada el mismo término siendo a mi criterio un poco decepcionante en algunos aspectos en donde a pesar de contar con elementos dramáticos muy útiles para el final de temporada también termino entregando una especie de resultado feliz que se pudo sentir un poco forzado y que todo resulto simplemente por el poder del guion, siempre es bueno los finales felices pero cuando todo se arregla y no queda alguna secuela de lo que venía siendo un combate intenso también resulta un poco insatisfactorio, sin mayor Spoiler el final logran ocultar toda la verdad sobre el grupo de asesinas Lycoris cuando la mejor opción y la más creíble era que no fuera así, más allá del final un poco forzado a mi parecer, toda la historia y desarrollo de Lycoris Recoil es muy buena y merece mucho la pena ver esta obra

The story builds up with some intense emotional moments, Takina slowly opening up and learning to care deeply about Chisato, Mika (the café manager) hiding painful truths to protect her, and Chisato racing against time as her heart begins to fail.
By the end, Chisato’s time is almost up. The fake heart she depends on is failing, and her enemies know it. She faces Majima in a final showdown, not to kill him, but to stop him without taking a life. She wins. Barely. But she’s ready to die after that.
It was really beautiful. Now,I understand the positive comments and overwhelming recommendations. If you've got spare time on your hands, I'd suggest you watch this. It's good and not too long, about two seasons if my memory's right.
