   Finally I can sit down to write about this musical, I had everything ready for several months, but every time I wanted to start writing I didn't succeed, I didn't get beyond a few empty words. This musical is based on the Brodway play, which in turn is based on the book, so it is a completely different version of what is known as the classic Matilda with Danny DeVito, and as I am talking about the Musical, I will not talk about the movie. There's something I still don't understand, I mean, I do, but I want to make this comment anyway. I can't stand people who say that their childhood is being ruined by remakes, reboots, and different versions of already made productions. I think it's a wonderful thing that the biggest concern in their life is a different version of something that is almost 30+ years old, when they are already 40+ years old. Are their minds that empty? No offense intended.

   The premise of this musical is basically the same, Matilda, a girl smarter than she should be and with an almost maniacal imagination, born into a family where she is treated as if she were garbage, a burden, an evil never asked for and totally undeserved, the time comes for her to go to school, not because her parents want her to, but because they force them to, because every child should and has the right to education, so at school, which we will see is more like a prison, where children are treated as criminals guilty of all the evils in the world, they just try to survive, to study as much as they can, and to avoid the Physical Education class of Trunchbull, the school principal, because in those moments they will wish they had never been born, just as I do.

   

   Al fin puedo sentarme a escribir sobre este musical, tenía todo preparado desde hace varios meses, pero cada vez que quería comenzar a escribir no lo lograba, no pasaba más allá de unas pocas palabras vacías. Este músical está basado en la obra de teatro de Brodway, que a su vez questá basado en el libro, así que es una versión completamente diferente de lo que se conoce como el clásico de Matilda con Danny DeVito, y como estoy hablando del Musical, no hablaré de la película. Hay algo que aún no entiendo, o sea, sí lo hago, pero quiero hacer este comentario de todas formas. No soporto a la gente que dicen que les están arruinando la infancia con los remakes, reboots, y las diferentes versiones de producciones ya hechas. Me parece algo maravilloso que la mayor preocupación de su vida sea una versión diferente de algo que ya tiene casi más de 30 años, cuando ellos ya tienen más de 40 años. ¿Tan vacía tienen la mente? Con todos los ánimos de ofender.

   La premisa de este musical es básicamente el mismo, Matilda, una niña más inteligente de lo que debería ser y con una imaginación casi maníaca, nacida en una familia donde se la trata como si fuera basura, una carga, un mal jamás pedido y totalmente inmerecido, le llega el momento de asistir a la escuela, no porque los padres quieran, si porque les obligan, pues todo niño debe y tiene el derecho a la educación, así que en la escuela, que ya veremos que es más una prisión, donde se trata a los niños como criminales culpables de todos los males en el mundo, tan solo tratan de sobrevivir, de estudiar lo más que puedan, y de evitar la clase de Educación Física de Troncha Toro, la directora de la escuela, pues en esos momentos desearán nunca haber nacido, así como lo hago yo.

   

   

   

   I think I have already seen this musical three times, and I don't know how many times I have listened to all the songs on loop over and over again, because I love them too much, and without any doubt I can say that I love this musical much more than the movie, it has many more things that made the story a little more complex and interesting than it already was, well, if you compare the musical has more elements and covers more aspects of the story, something that the movie didn't do, and I don't know if it's because of the blinding nostalgia or because they are idiots, but many people don't see that reality, and it's fine that you like the old movie better, but to say that the musical is not better is simply not seeing the reality of the facts and look ridiculous. Already my lack of medication is showing in the way I write.

   Of my favorite things is the friendship that Matilda had with the owner of the mobile library, it was very cute and very tender everything, plus she gave us one of the best narrations of a story within a story, I was the same, dying of anxiety, not only every time Matilda started to tell a part of the story, but it was when she finished telling us a part and said she did not know at what point the story would continue to come to her, when she said she knew that the story would not have a happy ending? I died, but I survived, and then I died again several more times. Plus this gave us the certainty that Matilda had more powers, not just telekinesis, and that just makes the story and the character more wonderful. The scene of Matilda serving herself cereal and then the dance with everything flying around her is something that was never necessary in this musical.

   

   Creo que he visto ya tres veces este musical, y no sé cuántas veces he escuchado todas las canciones en bucle una y otra vez, pues me encantan demasiado, y sin ningú tipo de duda puedo decir que amo mucho más este musical que la película, tiene muchísimas cosas más que hicieron la historia un poco más compleja e interesante de lo que ya era, pues si se llegan a poner en comparación el musical tiene más elementos y abarca más aspectos de la historias, cosa que la película no hizo, y no sé si sea por la nostalgia encegecedora o porque son idiotas, pero muchas gente no ve esa realidad, y está bien que te guste más la película antigua, pero decir que el musical no es mejor es simplemente no ver la realidad de los hechos y quedar en ridículo. Ya se me nota la falta de medicación en la forma que escribo.

   De mis cosas favoritas está la amistad que Matilda tenía con la dueña de la biblioteca móvil, era muy lindo y muy tierno todo, además de que nos dio una de las mejores narraciones de una historia dentro de una historia, yo estaba igual, muriendo de ansiedad, no solo cada vez que Matilda comenzaba a contar una parte de la historia, si no que era cuando nos terminaba de contar una parte y decía que no sabía en qué momento la historia seguiría llegando a ella, ¿cuando dijo que sabía que la historia no tendría un final feliz? Me morí, pero sobreviví, y después volví a morir varias veces más. Además de que esto nos dio la certeza de que Matilda tenía más poderes, no solo la telequinesis, y eso solo vuelve más maravillosa la historia y al personaje. La escena de Matilda sirviendose cereal y después el baile con todo volando a su alrededor es algo que jamás fue necesario en este musical.

One of my favorite things were all the songs, especially one, but I'll talk about that later, or not, I'll talk about it all at once. Instead of leaving you a trailer at the end, I left you one of the complete songs, Quiet, it's called, and it's during those moments where Matilda makes use of her telekinesis for the first time, I think, and that's when almost everything gets out of control. That scene is just great, masterful, it meets expectations and exceeds them. After having Trunchbull sing a song about how she is better than the children and how they are just useless worms that will never win anything, Matilda comes to sing to us about what sensory overstimulation is and how she has to resort to dissociation in order to calm down and avoid continuing in a spiral of thoughts and sensations that can practically drive her to madness.

   That's my favorite song and hundreds of others, Quiet gives us a little taste in less than three minutes of how many of us feel all the time every day without a break. That song makes me cry every time I listen to it and it feels like a warm hug, like a pat on the back, as the song itself says, it's like being silent but not quite, besides, Alisha understood perfectly what was asked of her in that scene and she delivered, there is no way not to have a reaction to Alisha and the amazing job she did at this point.

   

   Lloré, claro que sí, cómo no hacerlo, pero de eso les hablo despuéss. Una de mis cosas favoritas fueron todas las canciones, en especial una, pero de eso les hablo después, o no, lo hablaré de una vez. En vez de dejarles un trailer al final, les dejé una de las canciones completas, Quiet, se llama, y es durante esos momentos donde Matilda hace uso de su telequinesis por primera vez, creo, y es cuando casi todo se sale de control. Esa escena es simplemente genial, magistral, cumple con las expectativas y las supera. Después de tener a Troncha Toro cantar una canción sobre cómo ella es mejor que los niños y cómo estos son solo unos gusanos inservibles que nunca ganarán nada, llega Matilda a cantarnos sobre lo que es la sobreestimulación sensorial y cómo tiene que recurrir a la disociación para poder calmarse y evitar seguir en una espiral de pensamientos y sensaciones que practicamente la pueden llevar a la locura.

   Esa es mi canción favorita y de la cientos de personas más, Quiet nos da una pequeña muestra en menos de tres minutos sobre cómo muchas personas nos sentimos todo el tiempo todos los días sin tener descanso alguno. Esa canción me hace llorar cada vez que la escucho y se siente como un abrazo cálido, como una palmada en la espalda, como la misma canción dice, es como estar en silencio pero no del todo, además, Alisha entendio perfectamente lo que se le pedia en esa escena y lo cumplió, no hay forma alguna de no tener reacción ante Alisha y el increíble trabajo que hizo llegados a este punto.

   

   

   

   I don't know what else to say, the musical is amazing, completely different from the movie 27 years ago, I think, it's older than me, it makes me laugh. There you have the song Quiet, my favorite song. All the performances are incredible, the children's dances are masterful, I'm so glad I saw the movie, it has too many teachings, I won't tell you which ones, go see it, and you don't discover the teachings, go look them up in a youtube video.

   

   Ya no sé qué más decir, el musical es increíble, completamente diferente de la película de hace 27 años, creo, tiene más edad que yo, me da risa. Ahí tienen la canción Quiet, mi cancion favorita. Todas las actuaciones son increíbles, los bailes de los niños son magistrales, me alegro mucho de haber visto la película, tiene demasiadas enseñansas, no les diré cuáles, vayan a verla, y no descubren las enseñansas, vayan s buscarlas en un video en youtube.

   Greetings my dear friends, I hope you are having a very good start of the week and that you and your family and friends are well, today is a good day to share with you my opinion and a brief review of a movie that I saw with my family over the weekend and I hope you enjoy it.

   This movie caused a lot of controversy and in fact it was because of the different opinions about this movie that I decided to watch it, I usually don't watch adaptations of movies I saw as a child because nothing is more powerful than childhood memories and to ruin them with something that doesn't feel the same as it did back then, can be disappointing. Risking this happening and thirsty to the opinion of those with me who wanted to see it, we started watching it.

   Like many I grew up watching the wonderful movie of Matilda, I really liked its story and growing up also everything behind it was something that moved me and made it somehow more special, so inside me I keep a special fondness for this story as it was and as it was made. This version of the musical Matilda was very different from what I grew up watching, although not necessarily bad.

   Saludos mis queridos amigos, espero que estén teniendo un muy buen inicio de semana y que tanto ustedes como sus familiares y amigos se encuentren bien, hoy es un buen día para compartirles mi opinión y una breve reseña de una película que vi con mi familia el fin de semana y que espero que puedan disfrutar.

   Esta película causó muchísimas controversias y de hecho fue por las diferentes opiniones sobre esta película que decidí verla, por lo general no veo adaptaciones de películas que vi de niña porque nada es más poderoso que los recuerdos de la infancia y arruinarlos con algo que no se sienta igual que en aquel entonces, puede ser decepcionante. Arriesgándome a que esto ocurriera y sediento a la opinión de los que estaban conmigo que querían verla, comenzamos a verla.

   Como muchos crecí viendo la maravillosa película de Matilda, me gustaba mucho su historia y al crecer también todo lo que hubo detrás de ella era algo que me conmovía y la hacía de alguna manera más especial, así que dentro de mi guardo un cariño especial por esta historia tal cual y como fue hecha. Esta versión de Matilda musical fue muy distinta a lo que crecí viendo, aunque no necesariamente mala.

   Como sabemos esta película cuenta la historia de una niña pequeña llamada Matilda, quien es un poco diferente al resto, a su corta edad ha sentido el rechazo de su familia, pero pese a ello ha logrado escapar de su triste realidad al sumergirse en las historias de diferentes libros. Por su propia cuenta ha aprendido sobre la vida, la sociedad y hasta sobre leyes y matemáticas, en pocas palabras se trata de una niña genio incomprendida por su familia.

   Obligados por servicios sociales, los padres de Matilda deben enviarla a la escuela, un lugar que llenaba mucho de ilusión a Matilda, pues podría aprender de literatura, lo que más le gustaba en la vida y enseñada por una maestra cariñosa y comprensiva que se interesa mucho por ella, pero aquella ilusión se rompe al notar que no es el lugar que pensaba, pues todos los niños temen a la directora y viven oprimidos por reglas super estrictas que no les permiten ser niños felices.

   This horrible place becomes a place very similar to a prison, even so Matilda gets friends and has her beloved teacher and with them she lives new experiences and very pleasant moments with these new people, forgetting a little the pain of having a family that does not care about her.

   When they change the characters of a series or movie it is sad, however it is acceptable when they place characters similar to the previous ones, in this case, clearly they had to be different actors to those of the 96 movie, but physically there were differences that did not allow you to know at the first time which character it was, which did not bother me as much as other people, but I do think that by placing physically similar characters, we could remember better who it was.

   Something that I really liked is how Matilda's imagination came to life when telling her stories, her imagination flew every time she learned something new and from it a great story to tell. On the other hand, the songs gave her special touch because several of them contained deep messages that at the same time made you understand well what was happening or what was going to happen, you can tell that a good job was done with this new adaptation, however, I still prefer the 96 version.

   Este horrible lugar se convierte en un lugar muy similar a una prisión, aún así Matilda consigue amigos y tiene a su querida maestra y con ellos vive nuevas experiencias y momentos muy agradables con estas nuevas personas, olvidando un poco el dolor de tener una familia que no se preocupa por ella.

   Cuando cambian a los personajes de una serie o película es triste, sin embargo es aceptable cuando colocan personajes similares a los anteriores, en este caso, claramente debían ser diferentes actores a los de la película del 96, pero físicamente habían diferencias que no te permitían saber a la primera de qué personaje se trataba, lo cual no me molestó tanto como a otras personas, pero si pienso que al colocar personajes físicamente similares, podríamos recordar mejor de quien se trataba.

   Algo que sí me gustó mucho es como la imaginación de Matilda al contar sus historias cobraba vida, su imaginación volaba cada que aprendía algo nuevo y de ello una historia grandiosa que contar. Por otra parte las canciones le dieron su toque especial pues varias de ellas contenían mensajes profundos que a su vez hacían entender bien lo que estaba ocurriendo o lo que iba a ocurrir, se nota que se hizo un buen trabajo con esta nueva adaptación, sin embargo, sigo prefiriendo la versión del 96.

   Although we can highlight some points that may lead us to reflect, this film deals very well with the theme of friendship and what we are willing to do for the welfare of others even if they are not our friends. Helping someone in need when they are in a hurry is something that can make a difference, especially if that person will suffer unfairly, nowadays people are very selfish and to avoid problems we prefer not to help, but we must remember that no matter what, our kindness or solidarity should never be erased.

   Also, something we can think about is parents, many did not have a good example as children and because of this they do not fulfill their role as it should be, still everyone can fight against patterns of behavior and be different from how they were taught to be, we are not condemned to be useless or evil just because other people tell us we will be. On the contrary, we can make a noticeable difference, even if the pain of a sad childhood haunts us.

   I don't regret watching this movie, but I definitely wouldn't watch it again, as I said I stuck with the previous one, although this one gave me a good time of entertainment.    Aunque podemos destacar algunos puntos que puede que nos lleven a reflexionar, esta película trata muy bien el tema de la amistad y lo que estamos dispuesto a hacer por el bienestar de otros aunque no sean nuestros amigos. Ayudar a quien lo necesita cuando está en un apuro es algo que puede marcar una diferencia, sobretodo si esa persona sufrirá de manera injusta, hoy en día las personas somos muy egoístas y para evitar problemas preferimos no ayudar, pero debemos recordar que sin importar que pase, nuestra bondad o solidaridad no debe ser borrada nunca.

   También, algo en lo que podemos pensar es en los padres, muchos no tuvieron un buen ejemplo de niños y debido a esto no cumplen con su papel como debe ser, aún así todos pueden luchar contra los patrones de conducta y ser diferentes a como se les enseñó ser, no estamos condenados a ser inútiles o malvados solo porque otras personas nos digan que lo seremos. Por el contrario, se puede marcar una diferencia notable, aunque el dolor de una infancia triste nos persiga.

   No me arrepiento de ver esta película, pero definitivamente no la volvería a ver, como dije me quedó con la anterior, aunque esta me brindó un buen rato de entretenimiento.    Feliz año nuevo 2023 comienzo este año con una pregunta que estoy segura muchos podrán responder ¿Quién no conoce el clásico de la niña más inteligente del mundo Matilda? creo que se podría decir que la gran mayoría la conoce, para mi es una de mis películas favoritas de la infancia, yo crecí viéndola en los años 90 y para mi siempre será una de las mejores historias infantiles que pudieron crear, aunque nunca leí la novela homónima de Roald Dahl, y de la que precisamente les vengo a comentar hoy.

Y con esa misma introducción nos presentan esta nueva versión que te sugiero que veas sin pensar en la Matilda de Danny DeVito porque tiene otro tipo de producción, se cambiaron muchos personajes pero como desconozco la novela, no quiero hacer comentarios solo basándome en la película original.

   Aunque estoy segura que todos conocen a Matilda te haré una pequeña sinopsis, se trata de una niña extraordinaria con un nivel superior de inteligencia que tiene una familia caótica que no saben valorarla. Y con esa misma introducción nos presentan esta nueva versión que te sugiero que veas sin pensar en la Matilda de Danny DeVito porque tiene otro tipo de producción, se cambiaron muchos personajes pero como desconozco la novela, no quiero hacer comentarios solo basándome en la película original.

   Lo digo de esta forma porque hay muchas cosas que salen en esta nueva versión que si son fiel a la novela, en cuanto al tema de los personajes no tengo el conocimiento suficiente, pero puedo decirle que a la querida maestra miel la cambiaron por una chica de raza negra, a bruce bolaños el que se come un pastel de chocolate pusieron a un niño chiquito y como con una especie de barriga falsa, a lavanda la amiga de Matilda que era una niña morena, la cambiaron por una niña blanca, entonces tal vez sean cosas que choquen con los recuerdos que tienen de la Matilda que todos conocemos pero que no es algo que te impida disfrutar esta nueva versión.

   Tengo que destacar muchas cosas de esta nueva matilda, la actuación maravillosa de Emma Thompson quien le da vida al personaje de la directora Agatha Trunchbull o Tronchatoro es una cosa que sin duda te gustara, porque tuvo una transformación tan radical que al principio no te darás cuenta que es ella y fue algo que me encanto porque le dio un toque distinto, así que recomiendo que no la compares compares con la Tronchatoro que ya conocíamos porque también puede que te choque un poco.

   También hay que resaltar a la pequeña y brillante actriz Alisha Weir quien le da vida a esta nueva Matilda con una encanto y una fuerza muy diferente a la que le dio Mara Wilson, es decir, cada una tiene su encanto y es imposible compararlas porque son versiones completamente distintas, pero Alisha supo como transmitirte todas las emociones que siente el personaje, ya que en esta película tenemos a unos padres muchos más crueles y despiadados que los que pudimos ver en la primera.

   Otra de las cosas que podemos destacar es la puesta en escena a nivel coreográfico, ya que estamos hablando de solo niños llevando a cabo coreográficas musicales maravillosas, conformado por más de 100 niños creando escenas muy sincronizadas y actuaciones encantadoras que son capaces de transmitirte las emociones de cada letra de las diferentes músicas que apreciaras en el transcurso de la historia, y por eso digo que ambas películas no se pueden comparar.
