Welcome dear internet travelers lovers of psychological stories and thank you very much for making a temporary stop in my post, I have seen many reviews about a series about the cannibal of Milwaukee, the thing is that I saw that there was a movie that came out before the series and I decided to take a look at "My Friend Dahmer" that talked about how the monster that ended up being was created. Just get ready to go to school and be the social misfits we're about to start.

Bienvenidos queridos viajeros del internet amantes de las historias psicológicas y muchas gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, he visto muchas reseñas sobre una serie sobre el caníbal de Milwaukee, la cosa es que vi que existía una película que salió antes de la serie y decidí echarle un ojo a "My Friend Dahmer" que hablaba sobre cómo se creó el monstruo que terminó siendo. Sin más que agregar prepárense para ir a la escuela y ser los inadaptados sociales que estamos por comenzar.

My Friend Dahmer was released in 2017, is based on the homonymous novel written by Derf Backderf, the film was directed by Marc Meyers and produced by Aperture Entertainment. It is a dramatic biography, the story focuses on a young Jeffrey Dahmer (Ross Lynch) who is a social misfit, focusing on what life was like before he committed his first homicide. In that search to please his family and try to be a more "normal" boy decides to be part of the group of high school fools with whom he believes he has made friends, however these together with other factors will be the ones that give him the push they need to finish building the monster.

My Friend Dahmer fue estrenada en 2017, se encuentra basado en la novela homónima escrita por Derf Backderf, la cinta fue dirigida por Marc Meyers y producida por Aperture Entertainment. Es una biografía dramática, la historia se centra en un joven Jeffrey Dahmer (Ross Lynch) quien es un inadaptado social, enfocando cómo era la vida de este antes de que cometiese su primer homicidio. En esa búsqueda por complacer a su familia y de tratar de ser un chico más "normal" decide formar parte del grupo de tontos de la secundaria con los cuales cree haber hecho amigos, sin embargo estos en conjunto con otros factores serán los que le den el empujón que les haga falta para terminar de construir al monstruo.

The soundtrack is pleasant, serves as a merely environmental element because it does not generate any emotion in the viewer, its objective is to be subtle in its accompaniment to the plot so you can not demand anything more than that, seeing it from that point achieves what is proposed, it is not much but it complies.

La banda sonora es agradable, funge como un elemento meramente ambiental debido a que no genera ninguna emoción en el espectador, su objetivo es ser sutil en su acompañamiento a la trama por lo que no se puede exigir nada más que eso, viéndola desde ese punto logra lo que se propone, no es mucho pero cumple.

La construcción de mundo casi cae en el hecho de ser genérica, a grandes rasgos muestra una escuela cotidiana típica del cine con los problemas típicos, sin embargo la principal diferencia es que trata de enfocarlo desde el punto de vista de alguien con notorios problemas tanto psicológicos cómo para socializar; aunado a lo anterior está el hecho de que también se enfocan diferentes contextos de la vida de Jeffrey, explorando su vida en solitario y en su casa para dar una mejor construcción sobre toda su vida en general. Esto también va acompañado de ese aire setentero que es logrado de manera excelente, haciendo que no quede duda sobre la época en la que se encuentra ambientada.

I have to admit that the narrative is quite slow to the point of being tedious, throughout the film we will only see the terrible evolution that the protagonist is having, situations are presented that make you feel sorry for him and even get to pity him. I would say that the most interesting thing is to see how although Jeffrey is showing many signs about a clear need for psychological help this is ignored by his parents because they are more concentrated on their things than their son, they derive in the gradual construction of the well-known cannibal.

He de admitir que la narrativa es bastante lenta hasta rozar el hecho de ser tediosa, a lo largo del filme solo vamos a ver la evolución terrible que va teniendo el protagonista, se van presentando situaciones que te hacen sentir lástima por él e incluso llegar a compadecerlo. Diría que lo más interesante es ir viendo cómo pese a que Jeffrey va mostrando muchas señales sobre una clara necesidad de ayuda psicológica esto se va obviando por sus padres debido a que estos se encuentran más concentrados en sus cosas que su hijo, derivan en la construcción paulatina del conocido caníbal.

The protagonist is the only one who is focused since the story deals with the terrible change that this is having progressively, many of his actions and facts of his life that helped his metamorphosis into a monster were completed. There's not much to highlight about the other characters other than the fact that they always feel like normal people with everyday lives, with their own personal goals and aspirations, are what they are without really anything genuinely remarkable.

El protagonista es el único que resulta enfocado puesto que la historia trata del cambio terrible que este va teniendo progresivamente, se exploran muchas de sus acciones y hechos de su vida que ayudaron a que su metamorfosis en un monstruo fuese completada. No hay mucho que destacar de los otros personajes más que el hecho de que siempre se sienten como personas normales con vidas cotidianas, con sus propias metas y aspiraciones personales, son lo que son sin realmente nada genuinamente destacable.

My Friend Dahmer more than being entertaining ends up being something more educational than anything else, all because it shows the process of how a mind with problems deteriorates to the point of beginning to hurt others, its main attraction is precisely that, the fact of showing that gradual but inevitable degeneration of an individual who did not receive the help he needed at the right time. For all this is that it deserves a rating of 3.5 stars out of 7, it is not something for anyone since it can quickly become boring by opting more for the psychological than for the action or the bizarre.

My Friend Dahmer más que resultar entretenido termina siendo algo más educativo que otra cosa, todo debido a que muestra el proceso de como una mente con problemas se deteriora a tal punto de comenzar a hacer daño a los demás, su principal atractivo es precisamente eso, el hecho de ir mostrando esa degeneración paulatina pero inevitable de un individuo que no recibió la ayuda que necesitaba en el momento adecuado. Por todo ello es que merece una calificación de 3.5 estrellas de 7, no es algo para cualquier persona puesto que puede tornarse aburrido rápidamente al decantarse más por lo psicológico que por la acción o lo bizarro.

Jeffrey Dahmer is a serial killer who took the lives of 17 people in cold blood. The question is how the young man went to such an extreme.

The film My Friend Dahmer tries to show the profile of the murderer while he was still in high school. He does not whitewash, but tries to show the process that took place in his mind before he became what he became.

Although the film is about a murderer no human being dies in it, because it's not about that, director Marc Mayers tried to rearrange the threads that slowly pushed his psyche into murder.

It's a work about confusion, lack of friendship and a bad family that allowed strange practices to take place. In terms of visuals, it's a raw work, often almost documentary in order to get as close a look as possible at the USA's greatest madman.

It's not a perfect film, it has its lengths, as well as bigger and smaller plot holes, but the director tries to show Jeffrey not as a murderer, but as a person who walks the line between being normal and a serial killer.

The film is about the last year of school we meet Jeffrey, who has no friends and his hobby is dissolving dead animals in acid. Over time, his goofy performance at school results in new friends who prey on his comedic talent. When Jeffrey discovers this, he slowly starts to break down, in the meantime his family gets divorced, and every bigger or smaller failure causes Jeff to turn into Jeffrey.

The director interestingly shows how the protagonist's psyche begins to fail and each successive blow becomes unreal.

A 2 hour screening where we as the audience follow 18 year old Jeffrey living his life, going to his school, being the school clown, the lack of acceptance, his problems and his subsequent transformation.

Far from being a serial killer film, here we get the drama of a person who initially doesn't want to be that way but only knows that path, and the more that happens the other paths blur.

All in all it's an interesting look at the worst criminal in the US, showing the slow transformation into evil without embellishment, without adding heroism just shown evil because many factors overlapped.

Postać Jeffreya Dahmera wielu pewnie kojarzy to seryjny morderca, który z zimna krwią pozbawił życie 17 ludzi, pytanie jak doszło do tego, ze młody człowiek popadł w taka skrajność mordu.

Film My friend Dahmer stara się ukazać sylwetkę mordercy jeszcze kiedy uczęszczał do liceum. Nie wybiela, ale stara się pokazać jaki proces odbywał się w jego umyśle nim stał się tym kim się stał.

Film mimo, ze jest o mordercy to żaden człowiek w nim nie ginie, bo nie chodzi o to, reżyser Marc Mayers starał się przestawić wątki, które powoli popychały jego psychikę w mord.

To dzieło o zagubieniu, braku przyjaźni i złej rodzinie, która pozwoliła na dziwne praktyki. Jeśli chodzi o oprawę wizualna to dzieło surowe, często wręcz dokumentalne, by jak najwierniej spojrzeć na największego szaleńca USA.

Nie jest to idealny film, miewa swoje dłużyzny, jak i mniejsze i wieksze dziury fabularne, ale reżyser stara się pokazać Jeffreya nie jako mordercę, ale osobę, która stąpa po lini między bycie normalnym, a seryjnym morderca.

Film opowiada o ostatnim roku szkoły poznajemy Jeffreya, który nie ma przyjaciół, a jego hobby to rozpuszczanie martwych zwierząt w kwasie. Z czasem jego głupkowaty występ w szkole owocuje nowymi przyjacielami, który żerują na jego komediowym talencie. Kiedy Jeffrey to odkrywa powoli zaczyna załamywać się, w między czasie jego rodzince się rozwodzą, a każde mniejsze bądź większe niepowodzenie z czymś związane powoduje ze Jeff zmienia się w Jeffreya.

Reżyser ciekawie pokazuje jak psychika bohatera zaczyna szwankować i każdy kolejny cios zaczyna odrealniac.

2 godzinny seans gdzie jako widzowie podążamy za 18 letnim Jeffreyem żyjąc jego życiem, chodząc do jego szkoły, będąc szkolnym błaznem, brakiem akceptacji, jego problemami jak i późniejsza przemiana.

Daleko mu do filmów o seryjnych mordercach, tutaj dostajemy dramat osoby, która początkowo nie chce być taka, ale tylko taka ścieżkę zna, a im więcej się dzieje tym inne ścieżki zacierają się.

Podsumowując to ciekawe spojrzenie na najgorszego przestępcę USA, ukazując powolna przemianę w zło bez upiększania, bez dodawania bohaterstwa tylko ukazane zła gdyż wiele czynników się nałożyło.
