Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, tenía bastante tiempo que no veía una serie coreana que llamara mi atención pero conseguí ver el tráiler de una que parece ser bastante famosa y que tuvo buena recepción entre los televidentes. La serie se llama My Name o Mi Nombre, es una serie del año 2021 y se encuentra en Netflix, es de género Thriller, Suspenso, Acción y por supuesto como no puede faltar en las historias coreanas mucho drama. Esta serie cuenta con 8 episodios de 45 minutos de duración pero te enganchan tanto que no puedes parar hasta terminar de verla, yo la vi en dos días y creo que hasta en un día se puede ver.
Hello friends of the Movies & Tv community, I had quite some time that I did not see a Korean series that caught my attention but I got to see the trailer of one that seems to be quite famous and had good reception among viewers. The series is called My Name or My Name, it is a series of the year 2021 and is on Netflix, it is of genre Thriller, Suspense, Action and of course as you can not miss in Korean stories a lot of drama. This series has 8 episodes of 45 minutes long but they hook you so much that you can not stop until you finish watching it, I saw it in two days and I think that even in one day you can see.

La historia de la serie empieza con una joven llamada Yoon Ji-woo la cual lleva una vida medianamente normal, su madre falleció y su padre es la única persona que tiene en el mundo por la que podría dar su vida. En la escuela la empiezan a tratar mal porque hay rumores de que su padre es un drogadicto, Ji-woo tiene sus sospechas ya que el siempre está bastante ausente y cuando tiene tiempo para ella no le gusta hablar realmente de su trabajo aunque siempre le recuerda que no tiene que escuchar los rumores de las personas y que debe ser una persona de bien. Pero un día todo cambia con una llamada de su padre luego de estar ausente por unos días, el le dice que va a ir a la casa para verla y que si ha visto el regalo que le envío, Ji-woo le responde molesta y a la vez preocupada por la vida de su padre. Su padre cumple con su palabra y llega hasta la casa pero tiene que esconderse de unos policías que lo están buscando por estar en malos pasos. Cuando llega a la puerta le dice a Ji-woo que le abra y que quiere hablar con ella pero de un momento a otro aparece un tipo vestido de negro con la cara casi completamente tapada y le dispara sin piedad a su padre, el trata de que ella no salga herida y mantiene las manos en la manija de la puerta y Ji-woo mira toda la horrible escena a través de la puerta. Tristemente su padre fue herido de gravedad y muere. Ahora la vida de Ji-woo cambia por completo, algo surge dentro de ella, un deseo de venganza de vengar la muerte de su padre por lo que se pone a investigar y va hasta dónde el supuesto jefe de su padre y le dice que quiere unirse a su grupo de mafiosos para vengar la muerte de su padre.
The story of the series begins with a young girl named Yoon Ji-woo who leads a fairly normal life, her mother died and her father is the only person she has in the world for whom she could give her life. At school they start to treat her badly because there are rumors that her father is a drug addict, Ji-woo has her suspicions since he is always quite absent and when he has time for her he doesn't really like to talk about his work although he always reminds her that she doesn't have to listen to people's rumors and that she should be a good person. But one day everything changes with a call from her father after being absent for a few days, he tells her that he is going to come to the house to see her and that if she has seen the gift he sent her, Ji-woo replies annoyed and at the same time worried about her father's life. Her father keeps his word and arrives at the house but has to hide from some cops who are looking for him for being in trouble. When he arrives at the door he tells Ji-woo to open it and that he wants to talk to her but suddenly a guy dressed in black with his face almost completely covered appears and shoots her father mercilessly, he tries to keep her from getting hurt and keeps his hands on the door handle and Ji-woo watches the whole horrible scene through the door. Sadly his father was seriously wounded and dies. Now Ji-woo's life changes completely, something arises inside her, a desire for revenge to avenge her father's death so she starts to investigate and goes to her father's supposed boss and tells him that she wants to join his group of gangsters to avenge her father's death.

Ji-woo tiene una gran transformación, en este grupo de mafiosos tiene que enfrentarse a otros miembros para sobrevivir y también para aprender a defenderse de cualquier cosa que pueda pasar. Durante los ocho episodios podemos ver cómo la protagonista se vuelve una persona totalmente diferente, ahora solo piensa en vengarse y si tiene que destruir o matar entonces lo hará. Ahora Ji-woo con esta nueva información está decidida a entrar en la policía y ser miembro mientras apoya a su vez a la mafia otorgándole información que solo podrá sacar de la delegación de Antinarcóticos dónde empieza su trabajo como detective. Las cosas no serán tan fáciles ya que tiene que mantener un bajo perfil y a la vez tratar de conseguir información acerca del asesino de su padre.

During the eight episodes we can see how the protagonist becomes a totally different person, now she only thinks about revenge and if she has to destroy or kill then she will do it. The mob boss is very happy to have her in his team and also tells her the story that her father and him had, he tells her that her father worked for him but the police were after his steps and a cop killed him. Now Ji-woo with this new information is determined to join the police and become a member while supporting the mafia by giving them information that she can only get from the Anti-Narcotics delegation where she starts her work as a detective. Things will not be so easy as she has to keep a low profile and at the same time try to get information about her father's murderer.

"My Name" para mí no es sólo una serie; es una montaña rusa emocional que te lleva en un viaje emocionante de principio a fin. Como aficionada a los dramas coreanos, he visto bastantes, pero "My Name" destaca por encima del resto. La protagonista, Yoon Ji-woo, interpretada por Han So-hee, es una fuerza a tener en cuenta. Su transformación de mujer corriente a luchadora fuerte y decidida es sencillamente impactante. Somos testigos de su lucha, su crecimiento y los sacrificios personales que hace, todo por la justicia. Es imposible no animarla y sentir que se empodera a través de su viaje. La actriz hizo un papel sumamente complejo pero lo supo manejar, desde mostrar una parte de su vida como una mujer normal a mostrar el lado más oscuro su sed de venganza, su rabia, su ira, su dolor. Podemos ver en esta serie como la transformación de Ji-woo es increíble y a la vez emocionante, habían partes de la serie sobre todo las de acción donde ella se supo defender y todo se veía muy real en cuanto a las peleas con cuchillos y por supuesto el toque sangriento que hacía que fuera más oscura y emocionante de la serie.

As a fan of Korean dramas, I've seen quite a few, but "My Name" stands out above the rest. The protagonist, Yoon Ji-woo, played by Han So-hee, is a force to be reckoned with. Her transformation from ordinary woman to strong and determined fighter is simply stunning. We witness her struggle, her growth and the personal sacrifices she makes, all for justice. It is impossible not to root for her and feel empowered through her journey. The actress played an extremely complex role but she knew how to handle it, from showing a part of her life as a normal woman to showing the darker side her thirst for revenge, her rage, her anger, her pain. We can see in this series how Ji-woo's transformation is incredible and at the same time exciting, there were parts of the series especially the action parts where she knew how to defend herself and everything looked very real in terms of the knife fights and of course the bloody touch that made it darker and more exciting of the series.

"My Name" es una emocionante serie coreana que me cautivó de principio a fin. Su poderosa narrativa, sus notables interpretaciones y su emocionante acción la convierten en una serie imprescindible para cualquier aficionado a los dramas coreanos. Es realmente fácil de ver y te deja con intriga en cada capítulo terminado, pienso que es una de las mejores series de Netflix que salieron en el año 2021 y que con una historia bastante atrapante te deja cautivado hasta el final, nunca sabes que puede pasar y luego ocurre algo incluso peor de lo que imaginaste, me gustó bastante y se las recomiendo.
