This is about more than racing In talking about movies based on video games, need for speed is undoubtedly one of the best I've seen. The cinematography was awesome, and the story was so good it actually drew me in and to be honest, I hadn't expected that. The conflict between the characters was super. Talk about stakes! Short review: this doesn’t work. Need for Speed stars Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots and Michael Keaton and is about a mechanic/racer named Tobey (played by Paul) who, upon release from jail for a crime he didn’t commit, enters a cross-country race in order to get revenge on the guy that put him away.
