Hello Anime Fans, Today I bring you "Odd Taxi", and yeah, you want to just jump on this one...

So Odd Taxi has 13 episodes, and let me just say this… I have only watched the first four episodes, and I’m already loving it, like, genuinely, i didn’t expect to get pulled in this fast, especially because at first glance, the art style looks a bit childish with all the animal characters, but once you press play, you quickly realize this anime is not playing games.

The story centers around Odokawa, a quiet, middle aged taxi driver who happens to be a walrus, he lives a simple, lonely life, he drives his taxi, goes to work, goes home, and repeats, no friends, no family drama on the surface, just vibes and routine, but the more people enter his taxi, the more you start noticing that something strange is happening beneath all that calm.

Each episode introduces different passengers, you meet idols trying to make it big, a nurse with a strange kind of aura, young guys chasing fame on the social media, and people who just seem… off.....

At first, it feels like a random conversations, but after a while, you start noticing little connections,someone mentions a missing girl,and another person casually drops information that feels important, something someone said two episodes ago suddenly makes sense.

That is when it hits you this anime is quietly building a mystery,what I really like is how natural everything feels, nobody is overacting, nobody is shouting their problems, people talk like normal humans, awkward pauses, short answers, dry humor, It feels real, and that makes it more unsettling.

Odokawa himself is a very interesting character, he is blunt, Sometimes rude, sometimes funny without trying. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything, but you can tell he’s also observant, he notices things others ignore, and slowly, you start feeling like he knows more than he lets on.

By episode four, I already feel like there is a big secret sitting in the background, something about Odokawa’s past, something about the missing girl, something about the people around him, the anime doesn’t rush to explain anything, and i actually appreciate that, It trusts you to pay attention.

Another thing I enjoy is the atmosphere, the anime feels calm but tense at the same time, nothing crazy might be happening on screen, but you still feel uneasy, like something bad is coming, you just don’t know when.

The animal designs grow on you too, after a while, you stop seeing animals and start seeing personalities, the walrus isn’t a walrus anymore , he’s just Odokawa,that alone is good character writing.

Odd Taxi doesn’t rely on action or flashy fight, It relies on storytelling, conversations matter, details matter, small moments matter, and I love anime like that.

So yeah, only four episodes in, and I’m already invested, If the rest of the series keeps this same energy, I can already tell this is going to be one of those anime that sticks with me.Revie

Hello everyone! I hope you are feeling well today. I want to talk to you today about an anime that you probably don't know, since it went unnoticed, but I really liked it. I found it very interesting, and it made me want to watch chapter after chapter. It's called Odd Taxi... this series has about 13 episodes and I found it a gem, although at first glance it may seem childish due to its animation and visual style, as normally presenting anthropomorphic animals can be seen as something childish, but this is not the case... as this series touches mature and deep themes.
The main story introduces us to Odokawa, a walrus who works as a cab driver in a big city. His life is relatively quiet and very routine, until one day he gets involved in the despair of an idol, a singer.... From there everything changes in a very entertaining way, and the episodes give us little clues or details that keep you very hooked, and we will continue together with this mystery.

Hola a todos! Espero se encuentren bien el día de hoy. Quiero hablarles hoy de un anime que seguramente no conocen, ya que paso muy desapercibido, pero que a mí realmente me gustó. Me resultó muy interesante, y me hizo querer ver capítulo tras capítulo. Se llama Odd Taxi.. está serie cuenta con unos 13 episodios y me pareció toda una joya, aunque a primera vista pueda parecer infantil debido a su animación y a su estilo visual, ya que normalmente el presentar animales antropomórficos puede ser visto como algo infantil, pero este no es el caso.. ya que esta serie toca temas maduros y profundos.
La historia principal nos presenta a Odokawa, una morsa que trabaja como taxista en una gran ciudad. Su vida es relativamente tranquila y muy rutinaria, hasta que un día se ve envuelto en la desesperación de una ídol, una cantante.. Desde ahí todo cambia de manera muy entretenida, y los episodios nos van dando pequeñas pistas o detalles que te mantienen muy enganchado, y seguiremos juntos con el este misterio.

What I liked most about this anime is how it handles the interconnection between the characters. At the beginning, they all seem to have no relationship whatsoever... but as the story progresses, you realize that each one ends up connecting in one way or another. This web of relationships is largely thanks to Odokawa, the main character... who interacts with everyone through his job as a cab driver. It is very fascinating to see how the stories of these characters intertwine towards an ending that closes all the plots of the mystery in a very satisfying way.
The characters that are present here are also great, each one has their own backstory and motivations, which makes them feel very real and three-dimensional.... Odokawa is a character that despite his quiet appearance, his story and personality has a lot of emotional depth. He is direct, and sometimes rude, which is something unusual in Japanese culture, but this characteristic makes him stand out a lot and makes him super interesting to accompany. His evolution is very interesting, despite a simple observer, he soon becomes an active participant in the events happening around him. Another character I really liked is the Yakuza porcupine, who always talks funny.... He is very unique, and adds a touch of humor to the series. There are many characters that are funny and it's fun to see them interact with the main character.

Lo que más me gustó de este anime es como maneja la interconexión entre los personajes. Al principio, todos parecen no tener relación alguna.. pero a medida que va avanzando la historia, te vas dando cuenta de que cada uno termina conectándose de una manera u otra. Esta red de relaciones es en gran parte gracias a Odokawa, el protagonista.. quien interactúa con todos a través de su trabajo como taxista. Es muy fascinante ver cómo las historias de estos personajes se entrelazan hacia un final que cierra todas las tramas del misterio de una manera muy satisfactoria.
Los personajes que están presentes aquí también son geniales, cada uno tiene su propio historia y motivaciones, lo que los hace sentir muy reales y tridimensionales.. Odokawa es un personaje que a pesar de su apariencia tranquila, su historia y personalidad tiene mucha profundidad emocional. Es directo, y algunas veces grosero, lo cual es algo inusual en la cultura japonesa, pero esta característica lo hace destacar mucho y que sea super interesante acompañarlo. Su evolución es muy interesante, a pesar de un simple observador, pronto se vuelve un participante activo en los eventos que suceden a su alrededor. Otro personaje que me gustó mucho es el puercoespín Yakuza, que siempre habla de manera graciosa.. Es muy único, y le da un toque de humor a la serie. Hay muchos personajes que son graciosos y es divertido verlos interactuar con el protagonista.

Visually, I found Odd Taxi to be very cute. Although the designs may look simple or cartoonish, they are not boring or anything like that, this contrasts brilliantly with some of the dark and mature themes that the anime deals with. It has a pastel color palette, this creates an atmosphere that is very welcoming.. and adds a lot to the darker plot twists, making them impactful... The music is also very good! The opening is melancholic and I really liked the visuals, that touch with the saxophone is very good.
The soundtrack is interesting, it's very nice, very appropriate to the situations, it complements very well. Among the things that surprised me a lot were the final chapters, when you think you know where the story is going... they throw in an unexpected twist that was very satisfying. The twists didn't feel forced, but are carefully planted throughout the series, with some subtle clues that you might miss on the first viewing.... I thought this level of detail was very good, as they took the trouble to really make the mystery interesting from start to finish.

Visualmente, Odd Taxi me pareció muy lindo. Aunque los diseños puedan parecer simples o caricaturescos, no son aburridos ni nada parecido, esto contrasta de manera brillante con algunos temas oscuros y maduros que trata el anime. Tiene una gama de colores pastel, esto crea una atmósfera que es muy acogedora.. y aporta mucho a los giros más oscuros de la trama, haciendo que sean impactantes.. La música también es muy buena! El opening es melancólico y me gustaron mucho las visuals, ese toque con el saxofón es muy bueno.
La banda sonora es interesante, está bien bonita, muy adecuada a las situaciones, complementa muy bien. Entre las cosas que me sorprendieron mucho, fueron los capítulos finales, cuando crees que sabes hacia donde va la historia.. te tiran un giro inesperado que fueron muy satisfactorio. Los giros no los sentí forzados, sino que están cuidadosamente plantados a lo largo de la serie, con algunas pistas sutiles que puedes pasar por alto en la primera visualización.. Este nivel de detalle me pareció muy bueno, ya que se tomaron la molestia de realmente hacer que el misterio fuera interesante de principio a fin.

I really enjoyed watching this series, the plot touches on issues such as corruption and organized crime, it also emphasizes the search for identity and the importance of mental health, as the true meaning of success. Through its characters, and the intertwined storyline, the anime exploits the things some people are willing to do to achieve success. I would definitely recommend it, for people who want to watch an entertaining, and visually pleasing, series.

With an interesting narrative, from beginning to end, characters that you will surely end up loving or wanting to have them as stuffed animals haha. I give it a very good 8.5/10. It's not perfect, nor is it an absolute marvel... but it serves very well entertaining you and making you have a good time. Disfrute mucho viendo esta serie, se tocan en la trama temas como la corrupción y el crimen organizado, también hacen énfasis en la búsqueda de la identidad y la importancia de la salud mental, como el verdadero significado del éxito. A través de sus personajes, y la historia toda entrelazada, el anime explota las cosas que algunas personas están dispuestas a hacer para alcanzar el éxito. Sin duda lo recomiendo, para las personas que quieren ver una serie entretenida, y visualmente agradable..

Con una narrativa interesante, de principio a fin, personajes que seguro terminarás amando o queriendo tenerlos de peluche jaja. Le doy un muy buen 8.5/10. No es perfecto, ni es una absoluta maravilla.. pero sirve muy bien divirtiéndote y haciéndote pasar un buen rato.
