Greetings friends and family from the community and above all to those warrior mothers in their day. These days, looking back on my life at 60 years of age, I realized several things that I didn't think about when I reached this age and I didn't have to, it was a matter of living one day at a time, but these days looking for a action movie on Netflix, the title US IN THE NIGHT and the actors (Robert Redford and Jane Fonda) caught my attention. For mature people like me, we know who they are and how excellent they were at the time. I read the sign of the movie right away. Trap, is a romantic film with very little action, simple words, set in a random town in the United States where life is monotonous and even annoying and the story of two characters alone, already in the golden age.

It is not only a story of loneliness and sadness on the verge of old age. It is also a hymn to hope, to the possibility of reconciling with oneself at the end of life, to being able to live without ties, without fear of what people will say, to seek human warmth in the long sleepless nights. A tender and delicious story, where women are once again the pioneers, the daring ones, the ones who break conventions. Where children are more intransigent than parents, less wise, less free. Where baring the soul is what remains when you can hardly bare the body. Take care, there are more of us good.

  2. My opinion about the film Our Souls at Night@ferdinandmoura1812d

"Our Souls at Night is a film based on the novel of the same name written by Kent Haruf.

This touching story focuses on Addie Moore (played by Jane Fonda) and Louis Waters (played by Robert Redford), two widowed neighbours who, after years of living alone, decide to spend their nights together to mitigate their loneliness.

One of the film's strengths is the chemistry between Jane Fonda and Robert Redford. Both veteran actors deliver subtle and moving performances, capturing the vulnerability and hopefulness of their characters.

The relationship that develops between Addie and Louis feels authentic and touching, and their connection on screen is palpable.

The film also stands out for its leisurely pace and its focus on the small moments of everyday life.

It captures the beauty of simplicity and examines universal themes such as love, loss and ageing.

Ritesh Batra's direction manages to convey a sense of intimacy and warmth, immersing the viewer in the story.

However, Our Souls at Night can be somewhat predictable in its plot and lacks moments of major tension or conflict.

While this may be intentional in order to create a contemplative atmosphere, it may leave some viewers waiting for a more dynamic development.

  3. Movie Review | Our Souls at Night (2017)@filoso1654d

I am not of that age yet, but I feel completely in line with this quiet masterpiece. In s ome way, I feel strongly related, and I will find myself in, say, 30 years, doing the same.

"Our Souls at Night (2017)", which quietly came to me one day and became one of my favorite films. In fact, it was a little bit that the stories of the old people in their 70s already appealed to me in their 40s, but it was only a little early to get a feel for the emotions at the end of life's path that everyone ends up going - that's why & it's such a great movie. In an ordinary American town, on a peaceful late evening of Louis (Robert Redford), who spends a peaceful old age meeting people of her age, doing light shopping regularly, and doing chores, Addie (of her same age) lives nearby. Jane Fonda knocks on the door. She suggests to him "let's spend the night together," and to a somewhat surprised Louis, she says: "How hard it is to get through the night alone... but that doesn't mean we don't have sex. I need."

From then on, the two became neighbors, friends, and possibly lovers. In this process, various stories of life unfold, and at the end of the process, family, consideration, and unrestrained love and human relationships are finished very neatly. Yes, it's a flowy movie.

There are quite a few famous lines: Louis: Hello Addie: Louise? Louis: I can't sleep well. Addie: Me too Louis: What should I do? Addie: Well Louis: Aren't the nights really terrible? Addie: That's right. Louis: I think the conversation will be fine. How about it? Addie: That's a good idea. I don't know what the result will be Louis: What do you want to talk about? Addie: Anything is fine. All. whatever the weather Louis: What about the weather?

And the bedtime lines of those who spend the last night together really touches my heart.

Addie: How was the reaction? Louis: I cried. And I said, 'Is this your last night?' Do you remember that night clearly? Addie: Didn't you talk about that after that? Louis: I didn't. Addie: I think I'm still in love Louis: No. Addie: Sounds like love. Louis: You can love the memories, but that's a different story.

Below is the final scene from the movie:

Even in the 60's, 70's, and 80's and 90's, Mr. It was a pity to see Robert Redford aging, and Ms. Ms. Jane Fonda's appearance is still there, but it makes me feel sad. Still, the gentle performances of these famous actors and their acting skills that make you feel as if you are watching what is happening next door seem to have made this movie with a special meaning, which is meaningless in a way.
