Hola estimada comunidad @movies&TVshows, hoy domingo me encontré nuevamente buscando en el baúl de los recuerdos y me topé con esta interesante película, la cual no veía desde hace mucho tiempo, quizás unos 20 años atrás, un filme que desarrolla de una manera muy particular, el tema de la exclusión social de los estereotipos que no encajan en esa supuesta “normalidad” que tanto ha separado a las personas de su verdadero sentido de hermandad, ocasionando división y guerras por pensar, actuar y ser distintos.

However, for reasons of his life, he had had no contact with anyone until he was taken to a kind of institution for homeless youths because he was left alone. Ok, so far so good, but when he arrives at that institution he is harassed by the inmates of that place, that is to say, again he perceives the fact of being rejected for his appearance and it is when he begins to demonstrate that he has a strange power to attract metals and to communicate mentally with others.
Se trata del joven Jeremy, un muchacho que padeció el hecho de ser rechazado por su padre al momento de nacer, su madre había quedado sin vida luego de dar a luz, por haber recibido previamente una fuerte descarga eléctrica de un rayo del cielo (Esta parte no la recordaba bien) y desde aquel momento, esa gran cantidad de energía recibida, fue conducida al niño, quien creció con sus abuelos, una de las características físicas adquiridas por él, era una extraña palidez en su piel y su carencia total de vellosidad y cabello. Sin embargo, por cuestiones de su vida, no había tenido contacto con nadie hasta que, por haber quedado solo, fue llevado a una especie de institución para jóvenes sin hogar. Ok, hasta acá todo bien, pero al llegar a aquella institución es acosado por los internos de aquel lugar, es decir, nuevamente percibe el hecho de ser rechazado por su apariencia y es cuando comienza a demostrar que tiene un extraño poder para atraer los metales y para comunicarse mentalmente con los demás.
The plot is entertaining, but what makes it really attractive is the message implicit in it, we are all human beings and before God we are equal, no one is superior, but no one is inferior to others, people who suffer from this type of exclusion develop the need for affection, acceptance and inclusion in the activities of daily life, they must also have the rights and duties of everyone else. Paradoxically, a person in Jeremy's situation, who has had no friends or acquaintances, has no sin either, he is a totally pure being, with no malice, no greed, no evil in his heart and that is one of the most beautiful things that this film shows us.

La trama es entretenida, pero lo que la hace en verdad atractiva es el mensaje implícito en ella, todos somos seres humanos y ante Dios somos iguales, nadie es superior, pero tampoco inferior a los demás, las personas que padecen ese tipo de exclusión desarrolla la necesidad de afecto, de aceptación y de inclusión en las actividades de la vida cotidiana, también debe tener los derechos y deberes que todos los demás. Paradójicamente, una persona en la situación de Jeremy, que no ha tenido amigos ni conocidos, tampoco tiene pecado alguno, es un ser totalmente puro, sin malicia, ni codicia, ni maldad en su corazón y es una de las cosas más hermosas que este film nos muestra.

Fortunately Jeremy makes friends, among them the physics professor Donald, who by the way caused a certain accident with one of his experiments, but who sees something special in him, at the end of which he receives a particular gift from Jeremy in gratitude for his fleeting friendship, who was one of the few who showed him affection and respect.

In the end Jeremy escapes to his old house, as a sign of that feeling of returning to a safe place, but it was no longer his home and he had no one else there.
This film has an impressive ending, where we are shown the law of the conservation of energy, where it says that we can neither create nor destroy it, only transform it.
También tuvo la dicha de conocer el significado del amor, al compartir con la joven Lindsay el sentimiento más fuerte y limpio que hay en este mundo, lamentablemente por el mismo tema del rechazo a su apariencia, su relación no era bien vista por el padre de la chica. Al final Jeremy escapa a su vieja casa, como muestra de ese sentimiento de volver a un lugar seguro, pero ya no era su hogar y no tenía a nadie más allí.
Este filme tiene un final impresionante, donde se nos muestra la ley de la conservación de la energía, donde reza que no podemos crearla ni destruirla, solo transformarla.

Quizás sea el único, pero al rememorar esta gran obra del cine, veo a muchos Jeremys, esperando ser escuchados, ser incluidos y seguramente necesitan un abrazo, algo muy simple de nuestra parte y que no nos cuesta nada, pero que para muchos jóvenes del mundo, tiene un gran valor e importancia y le puede cambiar la vida a una persona en un abrir y cerrar de ojos.
Jamás veremos lo esencial de la vida, si nuestro corazón no está preparado antes.
