   Вчора я переглянула серіал під назвою "Сцени з подружнього життя". Це драматичний американський серіал 2021 року. В ролях: Джессіка Честейн, Оскар Айзек.

   Цей серіал є сучасною версією давнього однойменного серіалу 1973-го року (я його не дивилась).

   Серіал (перший сезон, іншого поки немає) складається із всього 5-ти серій, тривалість кожної близько 50-55 хвилин.

   Yesterday I watched a series called "Scenes from a Marriage". This is a 2021 American drama series. Starring: Jessica Chastain, Oscar Isaac.

   This series is a modern version of the old series of the same name from 1973 (I haven't watched it).

   The series (the first season, there is no other yet) consists of only 5 episodes, the duration of each is about 50-55 minutes.

   Я вирішила подивитись цей серіал, тому що деякі користувачі в спільноті "Кіноман" писали назву цього фільму, як найкращого, але мало відомого. Та серіал дався мені не просто.

   Сюжет побудовано на 90% на розмовах. Двоє (подружжя) живуть своїм нормальним життям, мають маленьку донечку. Дружина переважно працює, заробляє гроші, більше часу з дитиною проводить батько, та всіх все влаштовує. Але в дорослому житті відбуваються події, яких не очікуєш, змінюються стани людей, доводиться приймати важкі рішення. Про все це глядач дізнаватиметься, знову ж таки, просто з розмов між двома головними героями.

   Під час перегляду мені доводилось робити паузи, тому що розмови настільки мене грузили, що я не могла бути учасницею цього тягара. З серіалу я зрозуміла, як я не люблю розмови.

   Втім, поведінка героїв чіпляє. Вони зберігають ніжність та повагу один до одного попри все. Провідним гаслом протягом всього фільму буде відома фраза "Піти не можна залишитися".

   Піднімаються різні "сімейні" теми. Але озвучувати я їх не буду, тому що це буде розкриття всього сенсу серіалу, буде не так цікаво дивитися. Але "цікаво" - невдале слово для опису цього фільму. Він, швидше, нудний, немає динаміки сюжету взагалі. Але він "нудний" по-своєму. Ви опиняєтесь в "шкірі" одного з героїв і переживаєте всі ці розмови з ним.

   Цей серіал кожен сприйматиме через призму власного досвіду. Рекомендувати я його не можу. Але якщо хтось захоче - подивиться.

   I decided to watch this series because some users in the "Kinoman" community wrote the name of this movie as the best, but little known. But the series did not just come to me.

   The plot is built 90% on conversations. The two (spouses) live their normal lives, have a small daughter. The wife mostly works, earns money, the father spends more time with the child, and everything suits everyone. But in adult life, unexpected events happen, people's conditions change, and difficult decisions have to be made. The viewer will learn about all this, again, simply from the conversations between the two main characters.

   I had to pause while watching, because the conversations were weighing me down so much that I could not be a part of this burden. From the series, I realized how much I don't like talking.

   *However, the behavior of the heroes is touching. They maintain tenderness and respect for each other despite everything. The leading slogan throughout the film will be the well-known phrase "You can't leave and stay".*

   Various "family" topics are raised. But I will not voice them, because it will reveal the whole meaning of the series, it will not be so interesting to watch. But "interesting" is a poor word to describe this film. Rather, it is boring, there is no plot dynamics at all. But he is "boring" in his own way. You find yourself in the "skin" of one of the heroes and experience all these conversations with him.

   Everyone will perceive this series through the lens of their own experience. I cannot recommend it. But if someone wants to - take a look.

   In the home of an American couple with a daughter, we witness the gradual dismantling of a relationship, as well as of the home. Moving away, leaving, living elsewhere and returning to look at your marriage, in all the joy before and the pain later, from the outside, in the same house, where it all began and ended, as strangers.

   

   Scenes from a marriage, a remake of Ingmar Bergman's miniseries, is a monographic module on the marital relationship and its electrocardiogram. Ups and downs, departures and returns.

   Questions, many. What does it mean to be in a relationship? What does it entail? Can stepping aside and staying together just for the kids not be so wrong? What if the marriage gene really existed, as a propensity, an attitude? Those who do not have it would know how to be alone and those who do have it would always need someone close to them, as a witness of their life and of his life.

   There are no right or wrong answers, there are only points of view, facets, nuances, smudges. The outlines are never clear-cut, it is difficult to label and catalog behaviors. So, if on the one hand there are bonds from which you never go back, because there are living proofs that children's faces have, to remember the good that was and for which it was worth it, on the other , in all probability, none of us are made for a single person, for a single love, for a single bond. And if we love, when we love, we always do it in an unbalanced and complicated way, never equal to itself, always unrepeatable and unique. A scenario closer to damnation than romanticism, but so be it.

   Right from the title, the miniseries directed by Levi breaks through the frame, the frame, the shot, the walls of the set, making cinematographic art a tool for penetrating everyday reality (of a couple in this case), probing it, trying to understand it and to put it in order. Cinema and life, fiction and reality are reflected in their respective gazes to reflect on a condition in a transversal way. Peek through the eye of the camera into the lives of others, to return to our own with a more trained gaze.

   The best marriage on the scene is the one between Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac: close-knit, sublime, masterful. Even in their interpretations it is difficult to distinguish reality from fiction, actors from roles. Very remarkable.

Allontanarsi, lasciarsi, abitare altrove e tornare per guardare il proprio matrimonio, in tutta la gioia prima e il dolore dopo, dall’esterno, nella stessa casa, dove tutto è iniziato ed è finito, da estranei.

   Scenes from a marriage, remake della miniserie di Ingmar Bergman, è un modulo monografico sul rapporto coniugale e sul suo elettrocardiogramma. Alti e bassi, partenze e ritorni.

   Domande, tante. Cosa vuol dire avere una relazione? Cosa comporta? Farsi da parte e restare insieme solo per i figli può non essere così sbagliato? E se esistesse davvero il gene del matrimonio, come una propensione, un’attitudine? Chi non ce l’ha saprebbe stare da solo e chi ce l’ha avrebbe bisogno sempre di qualcuno accanto, in qualità di testimone della sua vita e del suo vivere.

   Non ci sono risposte giuste o scorrette, ci sono solo punti di vista, sfaccettature, sfumature, sbavature. I contorni non sono mai netti, è difficile mettere etichette e catalogare i comportamenti. Allora, se da una parte ci sono legami dai quali non si torna indietro mai, perché ci sono le prove viventi che hanno i volti dei figli, a ricordare il buono che è stato e per il quale ne è valsa la pena, dall’altra, con molta probabilità, nessuno di noi è fatto per una sola persona, per un solo amore, per un solo legame. E se amiamo, quando amiamo, lo facciamo sempre in modo squilibrato e complicato, mai uguale a se stesso, sempre irripetibile e unico. Uno scenario più vicino alla dannazione che al romanticismo, ma tant’è.

   Sin dal titolo, la miniserie diretta da Levi sfonda il frame, la cornice, l’inquadratura, le pareti del set facendo dell’arte cinematografica uno strumento per penetrare la realtà quotidiana (di una coppia in questo caso), sondarla, cercare di comprenderla e di metterla in ordine. Cinema e vita, finzione e realtà si riflettono nei rispettivi sguardi per riflettere su una condizione in modo trasversale. Sbirciare attraverso l’occhio della macchina da presa nelle vite degli altri, per tornare a osservare le nostre con uno sguardo più allenato.

   Il matrimonio migliore sulla scena è quello tra Jessica Chastain e Oscar Isaac: affiatati, sublimi, magistrali. Anche nelle loro interpretazioni si fa fatica a distinguere la realtà dalla fiction, gli attori dai ruoli. Notevolissimi.
