  1. Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse on Netflix@netflixr2271d

Netflix hasn't been making the best recommendations to me as of late and this one might be one of the worst to date. I have to say that as much as I want any film that has David Koechner ("Champ" from Anchorman) in it to do well, this movie is remarkably bad and as cliche as it sounds, should be avoided at all costs.

It's kind of a coming-of-age film, it's kind of a horror / gore film, it's kind of a comedy film.... and it fails horribly on all of these fronts with the one exception being that some of the gore kills are pretty gruesome. So gruesome actually, that it seem as though it was kind of borrowed from Evil Dead.

They even attempt to introduce some sort of ultra-hot stripper chick with brains who has a thing for nerdy scout types in order to put some impractical sex-appeal into it and well, I suppose that works a little bit because yes, whoever she is, she is remarkably attractive but it all seems a bit forced like the Friday the 13th hotties that were there just to take their shirts off at some point.

The movie is loud, almost irritating, and despite the fact that it is meant to be a comedy / spoof horror film there are literally no humorous moment in the film at all. It really misses the mark and every way that you can imagine.

I suppose if I had to try to give anyone a reason to watch this I suppose it would be because Patrick Schwarzenegger is in it. That's right, Arnie's son is in this movie and let's hope that he chooses better things to be in as far as later films are concerned.

This film was released at Halloween in 2015 but was only recently added to the Netflix library. It is an abyssmal movie and it is terrible now and it was terrible when it was initially released and managed to make back about half of its budget at the box office.

The title and the promises of making fun of zombie films for an hour and a half might sound like fun but trust me on this, Scout's Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse gets old in the first 20 minutes and really doesn't get better in the obligatory 90 minute runtime.

This film should definitely be skipped to watch really, almost anything else.
