  1. Movie Review // Shaft@repayme45681506d

Released date: Shaft was released in 2019.

    Director: Tim story.

starring Shaft II play by Samuel L. Jackson. John JJ Shaft play by Jessie T. Usher. Maya Babanikos play by Regina Hall. Alexandra Shipp as Shasa Arias . Richard Roundtree as John Shaft Sr. etc.

    Music by: Christopher Lennertz

The plot John JJ shaft Friend got himself involved in a mess which he had no knowledge about, he didn't knew that, the people he got himself involved with were drugs dealers, I guess he was just looking for ends meet, but the case turns out in reverse for him, as something unpleasant took place, he loose his life, the people killed him and tried to cover his story.

John JJ Shaft his friend, could not just let his friend die and go like that, without him finding out what was the actual cause of his death, John JJ Shaft was working with the FBI, in Undercovering such matters, but this particular case, he took it so personally, one day, he went and meet with his Father, "Shaft II" who retired as an undercover agent for the FBI and said he rather be a personal investigator, when John JJ Shaft went to his Father, Shaft II, his father smiled at him, he said "I knew it that this time would come, where you would come looking for me, tell me, is it money you want, how much"? but that was not the reason why his son JJ came to him, it was to hired him and to work with him privately to uncover the actual reasons why his friend were killed in cool blood.

Shaft II accepted the deal, when he heard about JJ friend's story and he said "anything for you son, but before he proceed, he asked, how is your mama 'JJ, I hope she hasn't forgetting about this old crab" they both laugh.

The investigation continue, as it was noted that, the notorious gang in town were the ones who killed JJ friend, for going against their rules, but as time goes on, the investigation were getting harder, that was when the ex Shaft, known has Shaft Sr got into the scene and portray his inmate ability Inorder to get everything solve as once.

JJ got suspended in his work as an FBI officer, since he was going against, the agency rules, just as what happens to his Dad and his grand father, he now has all the time he needs to work on his friend sudden departure.

When his mum, heard what he is gotten himself into, with his Dad and his grand father, she didn't seems to like it because she always believed that, nothing good can come out of her ex-husband, if not troubles and his street lifestyle, yet she failed to understand that, John JJ Shaft is all origin of the Shaft's family and he would stop at nothing if he wants to depart himself from the family ways of living, he was his father's son, he was Shaft, so he must behave like one.

The three Shaft formed a team and it was the strongest team ever in town, only their footsteps would say a lot about what they are capable of, it didn't take long again and all the people involved in JJ friend's death were brought to punish by the Shaft family, comprising of Shaft Sr, Shaft II and John JJ Shaft.

This is a nice one to watch and i bet you wouldn't regret it. Thank you for reading my review.

  2. Movie Review: Shaft 2019@chekohler2552d

    Hey my fellow movie buffs

Its been a while since I've dropped a movie review on you guys since there hasn't been anything worth watching, but I recently booted up my Netflix to see if I could play anything while I work and came across the latest reboot of Shaft. You know Hollywood has no ideas for original content so its all about rebooting anything remotely popular and carrying it though on nostalgia.

It pays, so that's why they keep doing it I suppose. So what is the movie about and is it worth watching?

    What is Shaft about?

The movie centres around John Shaft Jr. an FBI cyber-security expert whose friend dies in suspicious circumstances. He takes it upon himself to uncover the truth behind his best friend's untimely death, he needs an education that only his dad can provide. Absent throughout his childhood, the legendary John Shaft agrees to help his son navigate the heroin-infested underbelly of Harlem.

As the story gets deeper, we find that Shaft is locked and loaded Shaft has his score to settle -- both professional and personal.

    What I thought of Shaft

The storyline is nothing to write home about its probably one of the most unoriginal plots you can get so yeah its how the rehash it and layer the characters and the motivations. Unfortunately, the character development is almost non-existent; you don't even feel like anyone is building any relationship or engaging the audience with any stake in the fate of the characters.

The movie is more of an action-comedy, and that's where its best parts are, in the comedy with Samuel Globbling up his scenes with his charisma and delivery. He sells the character well along with Regina his love interest but other than that everyone else is stale and unmemorable.

Jessie T. Usher is probably the most unlikeable character, and his comedic scenes are teenage banter at best, some slapstick Nickelodeon style jokes and situation comedy. Reminds me of the things we used to laugh at in grade school.

    My rating for Shaft

The characters are written really poorly, and apart from a few laughs, this movie will disappear into the bargain bin real soon. It wasn't the greatest watch, and I'll give it 4 Lawrence Fishburne wannabees out of 10

    Have your say

Holla at me in the comments! All my commenters I will now refer to as Jessie. Jessie is a good friend of mine, but Jessies got a girl, and I want to make her mine.

So have at it my Jessies! If you don't have something to comment, simply comment "I am a Jessie."
