Hello hive friends, happy new year. I hope everyone is well.

This time I bring you the review of the first movie I see this year. It is a movie that I have wanted to see for a long time.

Months ago they aired the trailer on a movie channel on TV. It caught my attention too much. I'll watch it, I told myself but unfortunately I forgot the broadcast schedule and didn't see it.

Months later I had the time to look it up on the internet but there was a little problem. I completely forgot the title. I couldn't get it anywhere, the only clue I had was that it was a gunman taking care of a baby. In addition to the phrase that made me want to see the movie.

"I am a British babysitter and I am dangerous"

    He had no more clues.

I started looking for the movie with names referring to babysitters and only Nanny McPhee and the like appeared. It was a frustrating search.

Until I finally got it, the title obviously had nothing to do with the word "babysitter." Big mistake of mine. Now yes, film found and loading.

    Lights, camera, action.

Starting with the summary of the movie. It begins when a man with an unknown past finds himself in a bench seat in the middle of the night and sees a pregnant woman being persecuted, against all odds he follows her and helps but she dies and the baby is left in the man's care. He seeks the help of a prostitute and together they try to solve the mystery of who is behind the baby and why.

The film has elements of action, comedy, drama, and suspense. The protagonist who, as we will later meet, is called "Smith" fulfills his role as a gunman with a strange taste for carrots. That he somehow feels responsible for the baby and protects him until the end. His relationship with the prostitute named "Donna" is quite natural despite the unconventional circumstances and their origins more than different. Somehow they create a sentimental bond with the baby that is the basis of the entire plot of the film.

The film itself is well ahead of its time in terms of plot and audiovisual effects. It looks like a movie made in 2018 and not in 2007. Its script and comedy are well crafted. With an antagonist who is probably truly insane.

It's a good movie to hang out.

All good so far, except for the sudden plot twist in the film's final stages.

Instead of being "Omg" it was a "WTF".

    Terrible.

From then on everything went from bad to worse, even the visual effects got worse. It was as if the directors ran out of ideas at that point in the movie without knowing how to proceed.

Nothing made sense anymore, much less the ending.

    A big disappointment.

The movie had everything to be good about and it was wasted potential.

    My conclusion?

If you have nothing to do, it is your movie to entertain yourself. But it is not a movie that I would see again right away.

    What do you think?
