I actually started this series back in 2016 and then stopped watching it because back then there was no Netflix and downloading was too tedious. Fast forward to today and I finally completed the 3 available seasons.

The series is actually based on a Mark Wallberg movie from 2007 and Mark was also the Executive producer. It is about a retired Marine sniper who was famed for being an excellent marksman. His whole life was turned upside down when his friend from his military days walks into his life and frames him for a crime.
To prove his innocence, he had to delve deep into the underbellies of an operation and eventually exposed some top government people behind it.
As far as entertainment goes, it was a proper kick ass series with the usual "good guys don't miss but bad guys are usually terrible at shooting" Hollywood crap. If you can ignore that fact and a lot of other cliches that are thrown at your face in action scenes, it is actually a fun series to watch.
Each episode can pretty much stand as a movie and I was hooked from the start of the first episode of Season 1 until the tragic end at season 3.
Season 1
In the first season, Bob Lee was plunged into an unexpected predicament after his friend, Isaac Johnson framed him for the murder of the Ukranian President. Bob Lee had to fight against a number of evil forces to prove his innocence.
At the end of season 1, Bob Lee got a friend in Agent Nadine, a stubborn FBI agent with a penchant for finding trouble. The main villains were the original sniper, a CIA agent named Meachum, a mercenary named Payne and Isaac Johnson.
Season 2
After proving his innocence, Bob Lee held a grudge against Isaac Johnson, who himself was on a road to redemption after doing some evil things.
In this season, Bob Lee teamed up with Agent Nadine and Isaac Johnson to find Solotov and his sponsors. Solotov is an equally talented marksman who was originally assigned to exterminate all the members of the 8113 Marine team.
The main villain of this season was Solotov and it ended in a cliffhanger that preceded the very intense third season.
Season 3
By the third season, the Solotov situation was sorted out in the first episode but the Russian sniper made some comments about Earl Lee, Bob Lee's father. After doing some investigation, it was discovered that Bob's father was actually among the creators of a black ops unit called "Atlas".
Further digging exposed numerous secrets and top government officials funding the operation. The quest to uncover Atlas was a thankless task but thanks to some heavy hits on their finances and other stuff, they were brought to their knees.
This season ends on a sad note and a new atlas was formed. It is left to be seen how things will proceed from here but I highly doubt there will be another season. However, if there's going to be another season, I will definitely watch it because all that ass kicking can be addictive.
If you've not seen this series and like ass kicking action, then I strongly recommend you watch it

So strange about rotten tomatoes, the critics apparently hate it, good thing its for the audience then!
I saw the movie Shooter with Mark Wahlberg from 2007, and thought that was very good, when I saw a TV-serie for it, I had mixed feelings, as the movie was good, so I was wondering how the heck they could make that over several episodes, without it being extremely boring. To my surprise it actually works out pretty well, and every week when a new episode came I was ready to watch it as soon as possible.

Shooter takes place in America, and centeres upon Bob Lee Swagger, a retired Sniper who has been stationed many times for the US Army. One day his old commanding officer comes by his house with a job to protect the president from a sniper attack, Bob lee accepts it to spot possible locations of a snipers whereabouts during a public event. Someone however shoots the Ukranian president who is also present, and a manhunt begins on Bob Lee as he was setup and framed.

For TV-Shows it is quite alright to check out the trailer, depending on the age of the trailer, as you can easily get fooled and finding a quick recap of the first season of the show, and that would kinda suck.
So when watching trailers for tv-shows, be sure it is one of the first trailers that came out, to ensure there are not too many spoilers, but still informfull enough to give you an idea about the show
