Feeling a bit nostalgic for some reason I decided to rewatch what is probably one of the most significant series I have ever seen: The Spider-Man Animated Show.

Para mi siempre es curioso revisitar las series de mi infancia, siendo una especie de ruleta rusa en donde los resultados siempre van a ser o gratas sorpresas o decepciones absolutas y debo admitir que la aclamada versión de Spiderman que vio la luz en 1994 me llenaba de miedo, sintiéndola incapaz (Por alguna razón) de llenar mis propias expectativas.

Yo no podría estar más equivocado. Creada por Stan Lee y Steve Ditko, Spider-Man the Animated Show se muestra como una representación del personaje bastante conservadora (Muy acorde al periodo histórico en que se estrenó) sin necesidad de sacrificar ningún de tipo de sustancia.

Aunque el ritmo de cada episodio suele ser muy acelerado y la información nunca se nos brinda a nosotros como espectadores de forma orgánica o natural, la serie animada de Spidey compensa todo esto con cantidades inmensurables de carisma que transforman todo lo incómodamente cursi en agradable.

Varios de los arcos narrativos más relevantes del personaje se encuentran aquí de una u otra manera (Secret Wars y la saga del Simbioite, por mencionar dos ejemplos) con un tono que sabe balancear muy bien la seriedad que supone sus historias con el toque infantil que esperaría su target principal.

Best Spiderman and Venom in one movie.

These 4 episodes are, in my opinion, the best Genesis and the appearance of Venom, dark and slightly brutal and the spider's advantage on every line of fire.

The writers have surpassed themselves by creating an extraordinary story that is dark, full of fear, and the finale is not the end of the story because then Venom returns and this is again Venom's best return as Carnage appears.

Eddy, after tearing off the symbiote, comes across a psychiatric observation, a young lady doctor tries to understand its operation and explain that Venom does not exist. Some events cause him to come back, this time fighting not only with Spiderman but also with his son.

No movie or animation that comes close to showing such an intriguing and full plot twist story. Humor and darkness, light brutality but also moral, love and madness all in these few episodes that even crush the armchair.

I still consider Spiderman Animated Series to be the best line art despite 27 years it is drawn in such a way that I want to watch it, and each episode is actually a reference to the comic.

It is a pity that the later animations or movies, the polite Venom and instead of being a persecutory madman, he became a humble defender who talks to the other voice, and Carnage, the personification of psychopathism, never was on the screen later, only this year a feature film is to be released, but seeing the trailer I have great concerns that this film will come out terribly weak without a plot and no idea for production
