I clearly remember that a few months after its release I had the opportunity to see "Spring Breakers" for the first time, at the time, leaving aside the fact that I was well below the appropriate age to see a film of that kind. guy, I remember that like many I dismissed it as a forced attempt by various "Disney girls" to break with the puritanical stigmas that came hand in hand with their careers in the house of mouse until that moment.

It is not for little, after more than 10 years it is still shocking to have actresses of the stature of Vanessa Hudgens or Selena Gomez in their underwear for most of their footage, shouting vulgarities and trying to commit as many illegal acts in the least amount of time possible, especially when their physical appearance was very close to that of any underage girl and their popularity level was sky high.

As a society we have evolved and although it is difficult to admit it, in many aspects Spring Breakers was ahead of its time, especially if we look beyond its hedonistic presentation.

As if it were an hour and a half long music video, in Spring Breakers we follow the story of four girls who decide to commit a robbery to pay for a crazy summer trip where they let out their wildest instincts, progressively we see how They are involved in a chaotic spiral where the consequences are increasingly serious, but half of these girls seem not to be affected by them.

Beyond its mesmerizing visual presentation, Spring Breakers is a manifestation of any responsible adult's nightmare, giving us an extremely intimate look into the lives of a group of women who forsake any kind of morality in favor of a life of excess, whatever the cost. whatever it takes

With exaggeration as constant, it is difficult to find yourself in a situation where at least vaguely we cannot feel threatened by the chaotic nature of the matter, regardless of the fact that it lacks any kind of realism.

And right off the bat I feel that precisely with this characteristic is the one with which I must make passes.

On the other hand, it's a film with a great rhythm, and the performances, although they fall into the uncomfortable, fit perfectly with the story that we are being shown.

Recuerdo con claridad que unos meses luego de su estreno tuve la oportunidad de ver por primera vez "Spring Breakers", en su momento, dejando a un lado el hecho de que me encontraba muy por debajo de la edad apropiada para ver un filme de ese tipo, recuerdo que al igual que muchos la descarté como un intento forzado de varias "chicas Disney" para romper con los estigmas puritanos que venían de la mano con sus carreras en la casa del ratón hasta ese momento.

No es para poco, luego de más de 10 años sigue siendo impactante tener a actrices de la talla de Vanessa Hudgens o Selena Gomez en ropa interior durante la mayoría de su metraje, vociferando vulgaridades y tratando de cometer la mayor cantidad de actos ilicitos en la menor cantidad de tiempo posible, Especialmente cuando el aspecto físico de las mismas estaba muy cerca del de cualquier chica menor de edad y su nivel de popularidad llegaba a las nubes.

Cómo sociedad hemos evolucionando y aunque resulte difícil admitirlo, en muchísimos aspectos Spring Breakers fue adelantada a su época, especialmente si vemos más allá de su presentación tan hedonista.

Cómo si se tratase de un vídeo musical de una hora y media de duración, en Spring Breakers seguimos la historia de cuatro chicas que deciden cometer un atraco para costear un alocado viaje de verano en dónde dejaran salir sus instintos más salvajes, progresivamente vemos como se ven envueltas en una espiral caótica en dónde cada vez las consecuencias son más graves, pero la mitad de estas chicas parecen no verse afectada por las mismas.

Más allá de su presentación visual tan hipnotizante, Spring Breakers es una manifestación de la pesadilla de cualquier adulto responsable, dándonos un vistazo extremadamente íntimo a la vida de un grupo de mujeres que abandonan cualquier tipo de moralidad en pro de una vida de excesos, cueste lo que cueste.

Con la exageración cómo constante, es difícil encontrarse en una situación en dónde al menos vagamente no podamos sentirnos amenazados por lo caótico del asunto, independientemente de que carezca de cualquier tipo de realismo.

Y de buenas a primeras siento que precisamente con esta característica es con la que debo hacer las pases.

Por otro lado, es una película con un ritmo estupendo, y las actuaciones aunque caen en lo incómodo, encajan perfectamente con la historia que se nos está mostrando.
