Spring Fever is a romantic comedy K-drama which is quite a hit this year. Yet somehow, it takes me forever to finish this series. Many viewers enjoy the romance story between Ahn Bo-hyun and Lee Joo-bin who acts as Seon Jae-gyu a misunderstood guy due to his rough looking appearance and Yoon Bom, a seoulite teacher who recently moved to a small seashore village. Throughout the first episode, we are introduced to Seon Jae-gyu who constantly keeps getting misunderstood and how the villagers perceive him. Everyone in the village thought he is a mafia boss as he was seen always surrounded by buff and rugged looking men. Then, we are also introduced to Yoon Boom, a seoullite teacher who dissapears from her old life to start anew in small town.
And, just like typical K-drama everyone is somehow connected. This is the predictable part if you watch way too many like I do, you simply notice it.
The story progresses with their slice of life, comedy and how they overcome the trauma shaping their life. And I took about a couple of months, to just finish this on prime.
During some of the last episodes, it was all flat. I dozed off and had to re-watch. This was on repeat up until yesterday, I managed to finally finish every episodes of it without dozing off.
I can see why this is such a hit among K-drama fans. It has the story that's quite comedic, romantic, and the small-village setting adds more charm to it. Many K-drama with similar settings typically do well.
I am not sure if you should watch it but if you enjoy small-town, seaside village setting type of romcom, this is for you. It's similar to Hometown Cha-Cha Cha but with different storyline and characters.
