Hello friends, I hope you are very well, today I want to recommend a miniseries that I saw a long time ago and that for the future I have seen again and the result has been better than I expected since I was able to enjoy it in a better way, I think the experience of the years help to better understand certain things and ideas. This miniseries is called Taken, which in Spanish translates as Abducted, and tells us about the drama of 3 generations and 3 families throughout the last 70 years of United States history. Being Steven Spielberg the executive director, in my opinion it has a great seal of quality because it has everything: suspense, science fiction, drama and some action scenes.
Hola amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, hoy quiero recomendar una miniserie que vis hace mucho tiempo y que por furtuna he vuelto a ver y el resultado ha sido mejor de lo que esperaba ya que pude disfrutarla de una mejor manera, creo que la experiencia de los años ayudan a comprender mejor ciertas cosas e ideas. Esta miniserie se llama Taken, que en español se traduce como Abducidos, y nos habla del drama de una 3 generaciones y 3 familias a lo largo de los últimos 70 años de la historia de los Estados Unidos. Al ser Steven Spielberg el director ejecutivo a mi parcer tiene un gran sello de calidad pues lo tiene todo: suspenso, ciencia ficción, drama y algunas escenas de acción.
To talk a little about the structure of this miniseries I have to say that it is very short, it only consists of 10 chapters so it is irrelevant to skip a chapter to delve into the story since from the first chapter the scenes look so good that it is easy to understand that it is well spun. Apart from that, it narrates through the chapters relevant events in the history of the United States that give it an impressive realism.
Para hablar un poco acerca de la estructura de esta miniserie he de decir que es muy corta, solo consta de 10 capítulos por lo que es irrelevante saltarse algun capítulo para adentrarse en la historia ya que desde el primer capítulo las escenas pintan tan bien que es facil entender que esta bien hilada. A parte de ello, narra a través de los capítulos acontecimientos relevantes de la historia de Estados Unidos que le otrogan un realismo impresionante.

In this story the main premise is to introduce us to the drama of 3 families in different generations that reach our days (2002) and UFO sightings are used as a unifying element, the case of Roswell to understand human vicissitudes and the transit in emotions such as love, hate, cruelty, abandonment in contrast to the attitude of visitors from outer space. This element is very well focused and does nothing more than lead the viewer to deep reflection, which happened to me.
En esta historia la premisa principal es introducirnos en el drama de 3 familias en diferentes generaciones que llegan hasta nuestros días (2002) y como elemento unificador se utilizan los avistamientos ovnis, caso de Roswell para entender las vicisitudes humanas y el tránsito en las emociones como el amor, el odio, la crueldad, el abandono en contraste con la actitud de los visitantes del espacio exterior. Este elemento está muy bien enfocado y no hace más que llevar al espectador a una profunda reflexión, cosa que a mi me sucedió.

The first character we should talk about to better understand the equation of this whole story is the captain of the American aviation Russell Keys, a hero of the Second World War, he is the first to have contact with the aliens in the middle of a battle against the Germans , in this scene referecian to the phenomenon of the Foo Fighters. 3 days after that battle Keys is found with his crew to which he does not remember anything, when he returns to his country after getting married it is impossible for him to lead a normal life, he is tormented by nightmares, with the passage of time his horrors will go on increase upon discovering that his squadmates have died under mysterious circumstances and he is the only one who remains alive after those events.
El primer personajde de quien debemos hablar para entender mejor la ecuación de toda esta historia es del capitan de la aviación norteamericana Rusell Keys, héroe de la segunda guerra mundial, es el primero en tener contacto con los aliens en medio de una batalla contra los alemanes, en esta escena se hace referecian al fenómeno de los Foo Fighters. 3 días después de aquella batalla Keys es encontrado con su tripulación a lo que él no recuerda nada, al regresar a su país luego de casarse le es imposible llevar una vida normal, es atormentado por pesadillas, con el pasar del tiempo sus horrores irán en aumento al descubrir que sus compañeros de escuadron han muerto en extrañas circunstancias y él es el único que permanece vivo despues de aquellos acontecimientos.

The next character of the first generation of the events of the story is Colonel Owen Craffor, he is the second fundamental piece in this drama, he is a sinister, manipulative being and climbs to the top of military power knocking down his adversaries with great cunning. By a stroke of luck he finds a way to seize the government project for extraterrestrial research, his obsession to find answers and discover the plans of the aliens will lead him to commit several atrocities, thus condemning his entire lineage for generations. His legacy will continue to this day in one of the characters that will come closest to alien secrets.
El siguiente personaje de la primera generación de los acontecimientos de la historia es el Coronel Owen Craffor, es la segunda pieza fundamental en este drama, es un ser siniestro, manipulador y escala a la cima del poder militar derribando a sus adversarios con mucha astucia. Por un golpe de suerte encuentra la forma de apoderarse del proyecto del gobierno para la investigación extraterrestre, su obsesión por encontrar respuestas y descubrir los planes de los aliens lo llevara a cometer varias atrocidades, condenando así a toda su estirpe por generaciones. Su legado llegará hasta nuestros días en uno de los personajes que más se acercará a los secretros alienígenas.

Salley represents a symbol, and I invite you to investigate the etymology of this word, you will understand what I mean if you have the pleasure of watching the series, it is a detail that is masterfully placed so that the viewer feels the ideal of belonging, commitment and loyalty.
El tercer personaje y creo que es quien representa las virtudes humanas es Salley Clarke, una mujer trabajadora víctima de un matrimonio abusivo y sin sentido, madre de dos hijos. Es abandonada por su esposo y encontrará muy pronto refugio sentimental en un verdadero desconocido, ese romance será el detonante de la unión de las 3 familias en un destino que los llevará hacia algo que supera cualquier cosa que haya creado o imaginado el hombre n toda su historia. Salley representa un símbolo, y les invito a investigar la etimolgía de esta palabra, entenderán a lo que me refiero si tienen el gusto de observar la serie, es un detalle que está magistralmente colocado para que el espectador sienta el ideal de pertenencia, compromiso y lealtad.

Existe un 4to personaje muy importante pero prefiero reservarme su identidad para incentivar la curiosidad de ustedes por desentrañar los secretos de esta historia. Estas personas y sus descendientes enfrentaran abduciones, persecuciones, conspiraciones gubernamentales y en medio de todo florecerá el amor, el odio, la obsesión el poder. Una de las cosas que más me llama la atención es la aplicación de la ciencia, todo lo que puede estar dispuestos a hacer el hombre con el propósito de descubrir todo aquello que le es desconocido, planteará dilemas morales en cuanto a la aplicación de la ciencia, sus resultados y consecuencias.

Although the special effects are not that great, when compared to current productions, I feel that the drama is so well planned and executed by the actors that it becomes unimportant. The appearance of the Greys, as they are known, meets the theme of the series.
Un punto muy a su a favor es que al tomar la historia reciente de los Estados Unidos, las referencia ala cultura OVNI estan muy bien elabroadas, porque no es simplemente lo que se bromea a cerca de los ovnis, sino los casos más sonados, ya sea el accidente de Roswell, las personas que aseguran ser abducidas por naves espaciales y las señales en los campos de cultivos alrededor del mundo. Todo esto es manejado desde dos ámbitos, uno de ellos es lo que realmente los Aliens están haciendo en sus visitas a la tierra y el otro ámbito son los esfuerzos del gobierno por encubrir la verdad y al mismo tiempo tratar de entender esa verdad. Si bien los efectos especiales no son tan fantásticos, si los comparamos con producciones actuales, siento que el drama está tan bien planteado y ejecutado por los actores que eso deja de tener importancia. La apariencia de los Grises, como son conocidos cumplen con la temática de la serie.

As a final point and a personal appreciation of all the things that are raised in the series I think that the best and the most important is fear. This feeling is experienced in various ways by the characters over the years and the most beautiful and realistic conclusion is that human beings do evil because we are afraid, fear leads us to act in the worst ways and the basis of fear is the ignorance. The characters in each generation express fear that leads them to make mistakes, from which some learn and improve while others repeat them as a vicious circle where evil and cruelty increase. The aliens are a very well executed metaform about our fears as finite, weak and sensitive beings, but how love leads us to do great things for humanity.
Como punto final y una apreciación personal de todas las cosas que se plantean en la serie creo que la mejor y la más importante es el miedo. Este sentimiento es experimentado de diversas formas por los personajes a través de los años y la conclusión más hermosa y realista es que los seres humanos hacemos el mal porque tenemos miedo, el miedo nos lleva a actuar de las peores formas y la base del miedo es la ignoracia. Los personajes en cada generación manifiestan miedo que los lleva a cometer errores, de los cuales unos aprenden y mejoran mientras que otros los repiten como un círculo vicioso donde la maldad y la crueldad van en aumento. Los aliens son una metáforma muy bien ejecutada acerca de nuestros miedos como seres finitos, débiles y sencibles, pero como el amor nos lleva a realizar grandes cosas en favor de la humanidad.
If you like to reflect through cinema, this is your series, this is what you need. I don't really like to watch something just to pass the time, I give a lot of value to time to simply entertain myself, I like to learn through the five and this series is a brilliant reflection exercise by the master Steven Spielberg, being a miniseries of just 10 chapters you can see it easily and without hurry. When I saw it for the first time I was 17 years old, and there were not so many distractions as there are now, I have seen it again and the teaching and understanding has been different. Si te gusta reflexionar a través del cine, esta es tu serie, esto es lo que necesitas. No me gusta mucho ver algo solo para pasar el rato, le doy mucho valor al tiempo como para simplemente entretenerme, me gusta aprender a través del cince y esta serie es un brillante ejercicio de reflexión del maestro Steven Spielberg, al ser una miniserie de solo 10 capítulos puedes verla con facilidad y sin prisa. Cuando la vi por primera vez tenia 17 años, y no existían tantas distracciones como ahora, la he visto de nuevo y la enseñanza y la comprensión ha sido diferente.
