   Hello my dear cinephile friends! I hope you are very well, today I want to share with you one of my favorite Disney movies from my childhood, it is Tarzan which was released in 1999 by Walt Disney Pictures, and stars Tony Goldwyn, Minnie Driver, Glenn Close, Lance Henriksen, Brian Blessed, Nigel Hawthorne and Rosie O'Donnell in the lead roles. I hope you like it.

Espero se encuentren muy bien, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una de mis peliculas de Disney favoritas de mi infancia, se trata de Tarzán la cual fue lanzada en el año 1999 por Walt Disney Pictures, y está protagonizada por Tony Goldwyn, Minnie Driver, Glenn Close, Lance Henriksen, Brian Blessed, Nigel Hawthorne y Rosie O'Donnell en los papeles principales. Espero les guste.

   

   𝐏𝐥𝐨𝐭 / 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬

   Tarzan is a boy who arrives in the jungle with his parents as a baby, but a leopard named Sabor eats his parents, so he ends up being raised by a gorilla named Kala, who also lost her little son in the hands of him. leopard, she takes the little human baby to her pack and decides to keep it even though Kerchak, the leader of the pack and also her mate strongly disagrees. Tarzan grows up feeling strange since he is different from everyone, but his adoptive mother makes him see that despite appearances, they are all the same. When Tarzan becomes an adult, he is able to fight the leopard and kill it, which causes Kerchak annoyance since he was not able to kill it and later, other human visitors arrive in the jungle who look for gorillas to study them, and they cause curiosity in Tarzan, especially a lady named Jane with whom he falls in love.

   Tarzán es un niño que llega junto a sus padres a la selva siendo un bebé pero, un leopardo llamado Sabor se come a sus padres por lo que termina siendo criado por una gorila llamada Kala la cual también perdió a su pequeño hijo en manos del mismo leopardo, ella lleva al pequeño bebé humano a su manada y decide quedarse con él a pesar de que Kerchak, el líder de la manada y también su pareja está en total desacuerdo. Tarzán crece sintiéndose raro ya que es distinto a todos pero su mamá adoptiva le hace ver que a pesar de las apariencia, todos son iguales. Cuando Tarzán se hace un adulto, es capaz de pelear con el leopardo y darle muerte, lo que causa molestia en Kerchak ya que el no fué capaz de matarlo y luego, a la selva llegan otros visitantes humanos los cuales buscan gorilas para estudiarlos, y ellos causan curiosidad en Tarzán, en especial una señorita llamada Jane de la cual se enamora.

After this, Kala decides to show Tarzan the place where he got it and also shows him a photo of his biological parents so Tarzan decides to go to England and dresses in an old suit of his father. But, the day they go to England, the group is betrayed and captured since Clayton betrays the group and goes with an army to capture the gorillas, so Tarzan, after freeing himself, goes to help his family.

   Una vez Tarzán conoce al grupo completo, empieza a interesarse cada vez más en ellos y a pasar mucho más tiempo con ellos, u uno de ellos llamado Clayton intenta obligarlo a que los lleve con los gorilas sin embargo, Tarzán finge no entender y no conocer a los gorilas. Sin embargo un día cuando él descubre que ellos se van de vuelta a Inglaterra porque no pudieron conseguir a los gorilas decide llevarlos con ellos para que ninguno, en especial Jane se vaya de la selva. Pero esa visita de los humanos a los gorilas termina en caos ya que Kerchak los descubre y se molesta con Tarzán ya que lo acusa de traicionarlos así que Tarzán huye. Luego de esto, Kala decide mostrarle a Tarzán el lugar en dónde lo consiguió y también le enseña una foto de sus padres biológicos así que Tarzán decide marcharse a Inglaterra y se viste con un viejo traje de su padre. Pero, el día en que se van a Inglaterra el grupo es traicionado y capturado ya que Clayton traiciona al grupo y va con un ejercito a capturar a los gorilas por lo que Tarzán luego de liberarse acude a ayudar a su familia.

   After fighting Clayton, Tarzan manages to defeat him however in battle, Kerchak is mortally wounded and dies so Tarzan becomes the leader of the pack, and after this Jane and her father are about to go to England but on their way to boat both decide to stay and live in the jungle, Tarzan and Jane become a couple and live happily ever after surrounded by gorillas.

   Luego de pelear contra Clayton, Tarzán logra derrotarlo sin embargo en la batalla, Kerchak resulta herido mortalmente y muere por lo que Tarzán se convierte en el lider de la manada, y luego de esto Jane y su padre están por irse a Inglaterra pero camino al bote ambos deciden quedarse a vivir en la selva, Tarzán y Jane se convierten en pareja y viven felices para siempre rodeados de gorilas.

   𝐌𝐲 𝐎𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 / 𝐌𝐢 𝐎𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧

   Based on the novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs and released in June 1999, I would say that it is one of the films that at first traumatized me the most since it really hurt me that the leopard ate both Tarzan's parents and the baby gorilla son of Kala and Kerchak but I think without those facts there would be no movie hahaha. I totally loved the work of the dubbing actors who managed to make each character unique and enjoyable, I loved that Minnie Driver and Glenn Close participated since they are 2 actresses who have been as old as when I first saw her. The casting work in general was pretty good so I don't have any complaints in this regard. The work of the writers and the writer of the script was really extraordinary since he managed to make an incredible and unforgettable movie.

   Basada en la novela de Edgar Rice Burroughs y estrenada en junio del 99, diría que es una de las películas que al principio mas me traumó ya que realmente me dolió que el leopardo se comiera tanto a los padres de Tarzán como al bebé gorila hijo de Kala y Kerchak pero creo que sin esos hechos no habría pelicula jajaja. Amé totalmente el trabajo de los actores de doblaje los cuales lograron hacer de cada personaje único y agradable, me encantó que Minnie Driver y Glenn Close participaran ya que son 2 actrices que desde que tenía la edad que tenía cuando la ví por primera vez. El trabajo en general del casting fue bastante bueno así que no tengo queja alguna en este aspecto. El trabajo de los guionistas y el autor del guión fue realmente extraordinario ya que el lograron hacer una película increíble e inolvidable.

   A job that is really worth admiring is that of the team of animators of the film, since I love the way they animate the entire jungle, which, although it is a cartoon, look quite real, and with all the characters they were not left behind either, since the design of each one is also amazing, i love the fact that a movie like this was achieved for the time, i love the color palette used and also the story as a whole (although i think it's not based so much on the book ) so I think that although I was almost traumatized by the events at the beginning, it is one of the best films that the Disney studios have released. What I like the most about the movie is the teaching that it teaches us that it doesn't matter how we look, we are all the same, and also that Tarzan tries to discover his identity since he was constantly bothered by the other young gorillas. I would say that another of the scenes that really brought me to tears is the one where Kala takes Tarzan to the house that his real parents built and explains that he is adopted and then he puts on his father's old suit and gets ready. to go to England, in my opinion this scene helped him realize that there are many more like him and that he is not a strange being as he thought, the scene broke my heart but it was very beautiful.

   Un trabajo realmente digno de admirar es el del equipo de los animadores de la pelicula ya que me encanta la manera de animar toda la selva, los cuales aunque es una caricatura se ven bastante reales, y con todos los personajes tampoco se quedaron atrás ya que el diseño de cada uno también es increible, me encanta el hecho de que para la época se haya logrado una película como esta, me encanta la paleta de colores utilizada y también la historia por completo (aunque creo que no se basa tanto en el libro) asi que creo que aunque por poco quedo traumatizada por los acontecimientos del principio es una de las mejores película que ha sacado los estudios Disney. Lo que más me gusta de la pelicula es la enseñanza que nos deja en que no importa como luzcamos, todos somos iguales, y también que Tarzán trate de descubrir su identidad ya que era constantemente molestado por los otros gorilas jóvenes. Diría que otra de las escenas me puso realmente al borde de las lágrimas es en la que Kala lleva a Tarzán a la casa que sus verdaderos padres construyó y le explica que es adoptado y luego el se pone un traje viejo de su padre y se prepara para ir a Inglaterra, en mi opinión esta escena sirvió para que el se diera cuenta de que hay muchos más como él y que no es un ser extraño como él pensaba, la escena me rompió el corazón pero estuvo bien bonita.

   Something that I also loved to see is that they placed in one of the scenes a tea set just like the one in Beauty and the Beast. In my opinion, the movie is the perfect combination of romance and comedy, so I think no one should miss it since it received quite a few good reviews and there's no denying that the movie is really good. The soundtrack of the movie is another thing that I completely loved since it is sung by the great Phil Collins and also really beautiful and in addition to the movie they leave a wonderful message of love, that no matter how we look or our differences we are all the same and we must live in harmony, that there is nothing more valuable than a mother's love and many other things. I think my favorite song of the whole band is "You'll Be In My Heart" although overall the soundtrack is a gem and I love it. Well, to finish, as I told you before, it is a movie that is really worth watching, it does not matter if it is with the family or just at home, so I would like to recommend it to everyone, I assure you that you will love it as much as I do.

   Algo que también me encantó ver es que colocaran en una de las escenas un juego de té igual al de La Bella y La Bestia. En mi opinión la pelicula es la perfecta combinación de romance y comedia por lo que considero que nadie debería perdersela ya que recibió bastantes buenas críticas y no hay que negar que la pelicula es realmente buena. El soundtrack de la peli es otra cosa que amé por completo ya que es cantada por el grandioco Phil Collins y también realmente hermosa y en complemento con la pelicula dejan un maravilloso mensaje de amor, de que no importa como luzcamos o nuestras diferencias todos somos iguales y debemos convivir en armonía, que no hay nada más valioso que el amor de una madre y muchas otras cosas más. Creo que mi canción favorita de toda la banda conora es "You'll Be In My Heart" aunque en general el soundtrack es una joya y me encanta. Bueno, para terminar como ya les dije antes es una película que realmente vale la pena ver, no importa si es en familia o sólo en casa así que quisiera recomendársela a todos, les aseguro que la amarán tanto como yo.

   Hola amigos de @movies&tvshows, hoy quiero hablar de una película a la que le tengo mucho cariño desde que la vi la primera vez, una historia con varios mensajes poderosísimos para la humanidad, entre ellos el amor universal, sí, así tal cuál, el amor por la familia, por la naturaleza, el amor romántico, el amor por la libertad, en fin, es una película digna de ver y disfrutar en familia, solo o con amigos.

   

   Overview/Resumen

   A couple of explorers arrive with their baby in an African jungle where unfortunately they are attacked by a leopard, the baby manages to survive miraculously but his parents die, meanwhile, Kala, a gorilla who lost her baby because of the leopard, finds the baby in the ruins of the hut where he was and from that moment she adopts him and incorporates him into the gorilla community where he grows up as one of them. Tarzan (the baby) is an adventurous and brave boy who constantly struggles to be accepted by the other members of his community, especially by Kerchak, his adoptive father. However, when Tarzan comes face to face with civilisation, he discovers the good and the bad of this new world, but most importantly, he will have to decide where he really belongs, the place where he comes from or the place where he grew up.

   Una pareja de exploradores llega con su bebé a una selva africana donde lamentablemente son atacados por un leopardo, el bebé logra sobrevivir milagrosamente pero sus padres mueren, mientras tanto, Kala, una gorila que perdió a su bebé por culpa del leopardo, encuentra al bebé en las ruinas de la choza donde estaba y a partir de ese momento lo adopta y lo incorpora a la comunidad de gorilas donde él crece como uno de ellos.    My Opinion/Mi Opinión

   I have so many things to say about this film that I don't even know where to begin, but never mind, I'll start with the most important thing for me, the story, it is obvious that it is not a faithful adaptation of the original novel, even so it is a beautiful version whose main message is the same, tolerance but also universal love, first of all there is the fact that Kala and Tarzan came into each other's lives when they needed each other the most, to fill their affective gaps, in the jungle, Tarzan learned to live with his primitive side, to fend for himself in a hostile land and to take care of nature. The film's story is also about tolerance, what it means to accept and love someone who is different.

   Tengo tantas cosas que decir respecto a esta película que no sé ni por donde empezar, pero no importa, empezaré por lo más importante para mi, la historia, es evidente que no es una adaptación fiel a la novela original, aun así es una versión preciosa cuyo mensaje principal es el mismo, la tolerancia pero también el amor universal, en primer lugar está el hecho de que Kala y Tarzán llegaron cada uno a la vida del otro cuando más se necesitaban para cubrir sus carencias afectivas, en la selva, Tarzán aprendió a vivir con su lado primitivo, a valerse por si mismo en una tierra hostil y a cuidar de la naturaleza. La historia del film también nos habla de la tolerancia, lo que significa aceptar y amar a alguien diferente.

   This leads me to talk about one of the most beautiful scenes in this film, and it is the moment when Tarzan, frustrated by his different appearance and tormented by the harsh words of his adoptive father who does not accept him as part of the community, begins to fill his skin with mud to try to look like a gorilla, and then his mother approaches him and with a sweet and tender voice tells him that they have more similarities than differences, for example their eyes, hands, ears and a beating heart, but above all what makes them the same is the love that unites them, because she doesn't need him to have the same blood or look like her to love him like a son. Friends, it is impossible not to be moved by this scene 😭, it is quite meaningful, beautiful and real because anyone in a similar situation could identify with it, especially I have read testimonies of people who are adopted children and this dialogue helped them a lot to understand their own situation 😌.

   Esto me lleva a hablarles de una de las escenas más hermosas que tiene esta película, y es el momento en el que Tarzán, frustrado ante su apariencia diferente y atormentado por las palabras duras de su padre adoptivo quien no termina de aceptarlo como parte de la comunidad, comienza a llenarse de barro la piel para intentar parecer un gorila, y entonces su madre se acerca a él y con voz dulce y tierna le dice que tienen más similitudes que diferencias, por ejemplo los ojos, las manos, las orejas y un corazón que late, pero sobre todo lo que los hace iguales es el amor que los une, porque a ella no le hace falta que él tenga su misma sangre o que luzca como ella para amarlo como a un hijo. Amigos, es imposible no conmoverse con esa escena 😭, es bastante significativa, hermosa y real pues cualquier persona que se halle en una situación similar podría identificarse, sobre todo he leído testimonios de personas que son hijos adoptados y este diálogo los ayudó mucho a comprender su propia situación 😌.

   As for the characters, I believe that both Jane and her father represent the good in human beings, those who walk in the healthy search for knowledge, who love nature and are aware that they are part of it, while Clayton represents the darkest and most repugnant in the human race, who only wants to make a profit, who fights for his own interests, who is selfish and does not mind destroying any environment in order to get what he wants.

   En cuanto a los personajes yo creo que tanto Jane como su padre representan lo bueno del ser humano, aquel que anda en la sana búsqueda del conocimiento, que ama la naturaleza y es consciente de que forma parte de ella, en cambio Clayton representa lo más oscuro y repugnante de la raza humana, que solo quiere lucrarse, que lucha por sus propios intereses, que es egoísta y no le importa destruir cualquier entorno con tal de conseguir lo que quiere.

   As for the soundtrack, I think it has one of the best Disney soundtracks, in fact it's my favourite of all the films I've seen, I like it so much that I have it in my playlist, I like it firstly because I find Phill Colins' voice very relaxing, secondly because his lyrics are beautiful and full of a lot of sense, and thirdly, what I like the most is that Phill Colins is the one who makes several versions of his songs, they are not sung by other people as it happens with other soundtracks, it is not something that is wrong, but I really like that only one person shows us different versions of the same song.

   En cuanto al soundtrack, creo que tiene uno de los mejores de Disney, de hecho es mi favorito entre todas las películas que he visto, me gusta tanto que lo tengo en mi lista de reproducción, me gusta en primer lugar porque la voz de Phill Colins me resulta muy relajante, en segundo lugar porque sus letras son preciosas y están llenas de mucho sentido, y en tercer lugar, lo que más me gusta es que Phill Colins es quien hace varias versiones de sus temas, no son cantadas por otras personas como sucede con otros soundtracks, no es algo que esté mal, sino que me gusta mucho que una sola persona nos muestre diferentes versiones de una misma canción.

   My favourite track of the whole soundtrack is "Son of Man" which also perfectly accompanies the scenes of Tarzan as a boy, going about his daily life with his friends, but the best of all is when we are shown his transition from being a boy to a man, it is a beautiful scene both visually and musically.

   Mi tema favorito de todo el soundtrack es "Hijo de Hombre" que además acompaña perfectamente las escenas de un Tarzán siendo niño, desenvolviéndose en su vida cotidiana junto a sus amigos, pero lo mejor de todo es cuando nos muestran la transición de él, pasando de ser un niño a un hombre, es una escena bellísima visual y musicalmente.

   Undoubtedly for me this is one of the best versions of Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel, even if it is not the best adaptation, it has a beautiful story, full of reflections and life lessons, it is a very rich film in terms of music, with a beautiful photography that becomes a gift for the eyes.

   Sin lugar a dudas para mi esta es una de las mejores versiones de la novela de Edgar Rice Burroughs, aunque no sea la mejor adaptación, tiene una historia preciosa, llena de reflexiones y aprendizajes de vida, es un film muy rico musicalmente, con una fotografía preciosa que se vuelve un regalo para la vista.

   Oh boy! This is the first movie that has made me have the case of nerd rage and has made me scream a bit. I didn't mention this in my review but I am very concerned about the director of this film, Reinhard Klooss, as he does seem to have some potential but it ended up being wasted. If he plans on making a sequel to this movie, which I highly doubt, then it better be a lot better written, have more character development, have better adversaries and have a lot more action. Other than that, this was wasted potential in animated form. Enjoy the review and let me know your honest opinions as well.

   Esta semana iniciamos con la semana 1 de la quinta edición de la liga de películas, y para esta semana el reto es: "la primera vez", recordar aquella película que vimos por primera vez en cines y para mí no es otra que Tarzán, el rey de la selva.

   Recuerdo cuando tenía 5 años y un tío nos compra la entrada a mi hermano, a dos primas y a mí para ver esta película. Mi tío falleció hace ya varios años y pues cada vez que veo esta película me recuerda mucho a él, y sobre todo está experiencia en el cine, pues era muy pequeño y no recuerdo mucho.

   I remember when I was 5 years old and an uncle bought my brother, two cousins ​​and me tickets to see this movie. My uncle passed away several years ago and well, every time I see this film it reminds me a lot of him, and above all this experience in the cinema, because I was very young and I don't remember much of him.

   El éxito de esta película es contundente, con un Óscar a mejor canción original, múltiples precios, éxito en taquilla, recordada y amada por toda una generación y por sobre todo, es una de la mejores películas de animación de Disney, y eso de por sí solo ya es mucho mérito.

   The success of this film is overwhelming, with an Oscar for best original song, multiple prices, box office success, remembered and loved by a whole generation and above all, it is one of the best Disney animated films, and that is why if only it is already a lot of merit.

   Lo único que veo malo en esta película es que no se ganó un puesto en el Olimpo del cine, si ves otras películas de Disney como el Rey león, es más famosa y sobresaliente. Si me preguntan por una razón para esto, de verdad no tengo idea.

   The only thing I see bad in this movie is that it did not earn a place in the Olympus of cinema, if you watch other Disney movies like the Lion King, it is more famous and outstanding. If you ask me for a reason for this, I really have no idea.

   Oh boy! This is the first movie that has made me have the case of nerd rage and has made me scream a bit. Moreover, when looking back at this review, I realized just how boring and forgettable this excuse of an animated film became over the years.
