Undoubtedly there are movies that teach you, they show you the value of friendship, union, respect, fidelity, strength, so many things, those are the movies that are worth watching, over and over again, and you say, well, not everything is lost, not everyone is bad, there are still good people in this world..
Recently, I remembered this movie Tears of the Sun, surely more than one of you remember it, where it shows us that, in the middle of the war, you can do good things, like helping and saving the innocent, those people who are in the middle, of all that chaos, and that power struggle, this is something even in spite of the times, we are still living, countries that continue fighting, a war without end, where only the most innocent, are the ones who end up paying for everything.
What is the point of taking out their weapons, killing so many people, just for a little power, for wanting to rule, to be right, while they are up there, comfortable, installed, just giving orders, those below, those who follow those orders, are the ones who make the difficult decisions, having to see innocent people die, mothers, children, young people, those young people who, to defend their own, also end up getting involved in these wars, making use of these weapons.
Tears of the Sun, is a film set in a civil war that happens in Nigeria, where a group of U.S. military are ordered to go to rescue a doctor and other citizens who belonged to the humanitarian group of the United States, which were trapped in that chaos, But this doctor refuses to abandon her friends, and begs the lieutenant to let them go with her, this is where their long journey begins, and making this difficult decision, where they will face the Nigerian military, will not be easy, but they are willing to fight to the end.
It is here where they have to go into the jungle, escaping from the Nigerian military forces, this lieutenant is in a huge conflict, because he must decide whether to obey the orders of his superiors or follow his instinct and help these people.
As I said, it is not an easy decision, because they must put their equipment at risk, their lives, in order to get out of that place and help these people, of course here is a great detail, that at first they did not know, they did not understand why these Nigerian soldiers were chasing them, why they were looking for them, what was so special about this group of refugees, this is something we will understand at the end of the film.
There are things in this world that today many of us do not understand, why these wars occur, why resort to violence, do not think about the terrible consequences of their actions, do not see beyond their ambition for power, to achieve to be right, it is good that you want to fight for your ideals, for your country, but what about those innocent people, they are the ones who end up paying and suffering all the horrors of a war between two sides, who will not rest until one of the two gives in.
This reminded me of the war between Ukraine and Russia, all those innocent people, who were left in the middle, they are the victims, those who pay for this terrible power struggle, with what excuse, with what face can they look at these people and explain to that mother or father who lost their child, because, for nothing, for simple pleasure, I do not know, this is something that I in poor ignorance will never understand.
This movie makes you reflect, as I mentioned, it makes you think, that there is humanity, that these soldiers are simple mortals, like us, who feel and suffer, and who suffer when they see innocent people die as a consequence of these terrible wars.
The main protagonist was played by actor Bruce Willis, as Lieutenant Waters, who had to make this hard decision to abandon these refugees or help them, there is a scene that gives you chills, and even makes you angry with his attitude, the way he answered the doctor, with a simple phrase: "I did not come for them", it is strong that, and the great pain she feels, not being able to do more for her people.
I say, we must also put ourselves in their place, at the end of the day, it is also their life that is at stake, of course, they were trained for this, to defend themselves and protect their citizens, their country, however, they are still human beings, like everyone else, we make mistakes, we make mistakes, and we learn from them.
On the other hand, here we can also see, these soldiers who take advantage of this terrible period of war and struggle for power, to hurt women, abuse them, and take children and involve them in their combat, this is where the helplessness of being able to do anything, those poor women victims of all this disaster, because they have to reach that level, because the aggressiveness against them, with innocent children, war only brings chaos, misfortune, tragedies, this is something that only man created.
It is certainly a film full of mixed feelings, where at one moment you feel anger, helplessness, but at the same time joy and satisfaction, to see how things ended, is something we will see in the course of this film, with each scene.
A film that will not bore you at any time, has its moments of drama, action and even a little suspense, why not, if you like these war films, I'm sure you'll like tears of sunshine, I'm not saying it's the best, but certainly worth watching.
Does it make any sense to continue with these wars, does anyone in these governments think about these innocent people, how do they sleep peacefully, this is one of the questions that I think we will never find an answer, don't you think.

Sin duda hay películas que te dejan enseñanzas, te muestran el valor de la amistad, la unión, el respeto, la fidelidad, la fuerza, tantas cosas, esas son las películas que valen la pena verlas, una y otra vez, y que dices, bueno no todo está perdido, no todo el mundo es malo, aún hay gente buena en este mundo.
Recientemente, recordé esta película Lágrimas de Sol o Tears of the Sun, seguro más de uno la recuerdan, donde nos muestra que, en medio de la guerra, se puede conseguir hacer cosas buenas, como ayudar y salvar a los inocentes, a esas personas que quedan en el medio, de todo ese caos, y esa lucha de poder, esto es algo aun a pesar de los tiempos, seguimos viviendo, países que siguen luchando, una guerra sin fin, donde solo los más inocentes, son los que terminan pagando por todo.
De qué sirve sacar sus armas, matar a tantas personas, solo por un poco de poder, por querer gobernar, tener ellos la razón, mientras ellos están allá arriba, bien cómodos, instalados, solo dando órdenes, los de abajo, los que siguen esas órdenes, son los que tomas las decisiones difíciles, el tener que ver morir gente inocente, madres, niños, jóvenes, esos jóvenes que, por defender a los suyos, también terminan involucrándose en estas guerras, haciendo uso de esas armas.
Lágrimas del Sol, es una película ambientada en una guerra civil que sucede en Nigeria, donde un grupo de militares estadounidense reciben la orden de ir a rescatar a una doctora y otros ciudadanos que pertenecían al grupo humanitario de los estados unidos, los cuales quedaron atrapados en ese caos, pero esta doctora se niega abandonar a sus amigos, y le suplica al teniente que dejen que ellos vallan con ella, es aquí donde comienza su largo camino, y el tomar esta difícil decisión, donde se enfrentaran a los militares nigerianos, no será fácil, pero ellos están dispuestos a luchar hasta el final.
Es aquí donde ellos tienen que adentrarse en la jungla, escapando de las fuerzas militares nigerianas, este teniente, se encuentra en un enorme conflicto, porque debe decidir si obedecer las órdenes de sus superiores o seguir su instinto y ayudar a estas personas.
Como dije, no es una decisión fácil, porque debe poner en riesgo su equipo, sus vidas, para poder salir de ese lugar y ayudar a esas personas, claro aquí hay un gran detalle, que ellos en un principio desconocían, no entendían por qué estos militares nigerianos los perseguían, porque a ellos, que buscaban, que tenían de especial este grupo de refugiados, esto es algo que entenderemos al final de la película.
Hay cosas en este mundo que hoy en día muchos no entendemos, porque ocurren estas guerras, porque acudir a la violencia, acaso no piensan en las terribles consecuencias de sus actos, no ven más allá, de su ambición por el poder, por lograr tener la razón, está bien que quieras luchar por tus ideales, por tu país, pero que hay de esas personas inocentes, ellos son los que terminan pagando y sufriendo todos los horrores que conlleva una guerra entre dos bandos, que no descansaran hasta que uno de los dos ceda.
Esto me hizo recordar a la guerra que, entre ucrania y Rusia, todas esas personas inocentes, que quedaron en el medio, son ellos las víctimas, los que pagan por esta terrible lucha de poder, con que excusa, con qué cara pueden ellos mirar a estas personas y explicarle a esa madre o ese padre que perdió a su hijo, porque, por nada, por simple gusto, no sé, esto es algo que yo en pobre ignorancia nunca entenderé.
Esta película te hace reflexionar, como les mencione, te hace pensar, que existe humanidad, que estos soldados son simples mortales, como nosotros, que siente y padecen, y que sufren al ver personas inocentes morir como consecuencia de estas terribles guerras.
El protagonista principal fue personificado por el actor Bruce Willis, como el teniente Waters, el cual le toco tomar esta dura decisión de abandonar a estos refugiados o ayudarlos, hay una escena que te da escalofríos, e incluso te da rabia su actitud, la forma en como le contesto a la doctora, con una simple frase: “No vine por ellos”, es fuerte eso, y el dolor tan grande que ella siente, al no poder hacer más, por su gente.
Yo digo, hay que ponerse también en el lugar de ellos, a final de cuenta, también es su vida la que está en juego, claro, ellos fueron entrenados para esto, para defenderse y proteger a sus ciudadanos, a su país, sin embargo, siguen siendo seres humanos, como todos, nos equivocamos, cometemos errores, y aprendemos de ellos.
Por otro lado, aquí podemos ver también, estos soldados que se aprovechan de este terrible período de guerra y lucha por el poder, para lastimar a las mujeres, abusar de ellas, y tomar a los niños e involucrarlos en su combate, aquí es donde la impotencia de poder hacer nada, esas pobres mujeres víctimas de todo este desastre, porque tienen que llegar a ese nivel, porque la agresividad contra ellas, con los niños inocentes, la guerra solo trae caos, desgracia, tragedias, esto es algo que solo el hombre creo.
Sin duda es una película llena de sentimientos encontrados, donde en un momento sientes rabia, impotencia, pero a la vez alegría y satisfacción, por ver como terminaron las cosas, es algo que veremos en el trascurrir de este film, con cada escena.
Una película que no te aburrirá en ningún momento, tiene sus momentos de drama, acción e incluso un poco de suspenso, porque no, si te gustan estos films de guerra, estoy segura de que te gustara lágrimas de sol, no digo que sea de las mejores, pero sin duda vale la pena verla.
Tiene algún sentido continuar con estas guerras, acaso alguien en esos gobiernos piensan en estas personas inocentes, como hacen para dormir tranquilos, esto es una de las interrogantes, que creo nunca encontraremos respuesta, no creen.
Como siempre les digo, no dejen de disfrutar ver una buena película o serie para relajarse, aunque esta no es nada relajante, pero sin duda vale la pena verla, si la vieron díganme que tal les pareció.
