   I know that lately I have been bringing to this community, content linked to the world of anime and the truth is that I love it because I know that there are people who enjoy these series, and I have seen that it has had an acceptable receptivity, however I also mentioned earlier this year, that I would also like to take my time to review movies (particularly those that are not or are animated) that called my attention whether they are good or bad, although that is already anchored to my perception and tastes and what better way to vary a little that bringing, this movie which I started to see in my adolescence and in a stage of my life in which I was going through a phase with music and rock or heavy metal and that great variety at the time, music that nowadays I still listen to and frequent from time to time but, not as intensely as before, it was simply a stage or phase to feel identified or accepted before a small or large social group and because I genuinely liked the bands, teenage stuff.

   Anyway, when I saw this film at the time, I knew at first instance that it was not a film to take seriously, and I really saw it from the point of view of a comedy and I enjoyed it and now watching it again I still maintain my position, but despite this, it certainly has a set of elements that make it interesting from a satirical and abstract stance, which I had not realized so well many years ago, and now having a better approach I can speak with a better structure and consolidation to this film, so ladies and gentlemen this time I bring you the film of Tenacious D and the pick of destiny.

   Sé que últimamente eh estado trayendo a esta comunidad, contenido ligado al mundo del anime y la verdad es que me encanta porque sé que hay gente que disfruta esas series, y eh visto que ha tenido una receptividad aceptable, sin embargo también mencione a comienzos de este año, que me gustaría tomar mi tiempo también para reseñar a su vez películas (en particular de las que no estén o sean animadas) que llamaran mi atención así sean buenas o malas, aunque ya eso esta anclado ante mi percepción y gustos y que mejor forma de variar un poco que trayéndoles, esta película la cual comencé a ver en mi adolescencia y en una etapa de mi vida en la cual estaba, pasando por una fase con la música y el rock o el heavy metal y esa gran variedad en su momento, música que actualmente aun sigo escuchando y frecuento debes en cuando pero, no con tanta intensidad como antes, era simplemente una etapa o fase para sentirme identificado o aceptado ante un pequeño o gran grupo social de a poco y porque genuinamente me gustaban las bandas, cosas de adolescentes.

   En fin cuando vi esta película en su momento, supe a primera instancia que no era una película para tomármela enserio, y realmente la vi desde el punto de vista de una comedia y la disfrute y actualmente volviéndola a ver aun sigo manteniendo mi postura, pero a pesar de ello, ciertamente tiene un conjunto de elementos que hacen que sea interesante desde una postura satírica y abstracta, cosa de la cual no me había percatado tan bien hace muchos años atrás, y ahora teniendo un mejor planteamiento puedo hablar con una mejor estructura y consolidación ante este film, así que damas y caballeros esta vez les traigo la película de Tenacious D y la púa del destino.

   Tenacious D is considered an American rock band from 1994, which is formed by actors Jack Black and Kyle Gass, who are the lead vocalist and guitarist, to date they have only released a total of 4 albums in total, which are Tenacious D (2001), The Pick Of Destiny (2006), Rize Of The Fenix (2012) and Post - Apocalycto (2018).

   For the year of 2006 it was decided to elaborate a movie, in which songs from the album of the same name would be included, addressing in a narrative way to a musical comedy genre, in which it was interpreted by the same two actors Jack Black and Kyle Gass, the film was directed by Lyam Linch.

   Para el año del 2006 se decidió elaborar una película, en la cual se inmiscuirían canciones de dicho álbum del cual tiene su mismo nombre, dirigiéndose de manera narrativa a un género de comedia musical, en la cual fue interpretada por los dos mismos actores Jack Black y Kyle Gass, dicha película fue dirigida por Lyam Linch.

   
   

   

   

   
   

   Synopsis / Sinopsis

   The plot focuses on the life of Jables a young boy passionate about rock music, who lives in a very conservative and religious family environment, seeing that his family does not accept him for who he is and his tastes, he makes the radical decision to run away from home and venture to become a rock star, As he travels he meets a guitarist named Kage and it is from this interaction and other events, that they decide to work together to be known rock stars, and soon venture into something more meaningful for both of them.

   La trama se enfoca en la vida de Jables un joven chico apasionado por la música del rock, el cual vive en un ambiente familiar muy conservador y religioso, al ver que su familia no lo acepta por lo que es y sus gustos, este toma la radical decisión de escapar de casa y aventurarse para convertirse en una estrella de rock, a medida de que este viaja se topa con un guitarrista llamado Kage y es a partir de esa interacción y otros sucesos, que estos deciden trabajar en conjunto para ser estrellas de rock conocidas, y próximamente aventurarse en la brevedad ante algo mas significativo para ambos.

   Music is an element that has been recreated in the cinema, using various means and styles that make tell in some way or another the variety and impact it has either narratively or to give weight and ambience to the plot before so many moments and what can be transmitted through it, unrelated in itself to this main element already mentioned, for example last year when I was able to review the film Whiplash and in a very summarized way I want to specify here, that we can witness in that film, see the self-sacrifice to meet someone's expectations and give everything in that case for jazz using drums as elements, playing elements of depth and seriousness. However with this film such musical and narrative elements take a completely different weight in every sense, if in Whiplash it was seriousness, obsession, sacrifice and feeling in the case of Tenacious D I could come to consider it as a comedy in which these musical elements intrude, as well as aspects linked to a lifestyle of famous rockers, without really being them and making this is presented as a mockery of what is shown with what is reality in this film, but that's what makes it so good for me in an absurd way.

   It is a band that in this movie, would not be taken seriously and in which they combine that humor with the music turning the whole narrative, in a somewhat abstract adventure of which does not have a solid line or as solid as a wait, but also not leaving aside the main focus in the long run. The humor that is used may not have many who like it, or may come to enjoy it because it will incorporate other aspects such as gas or belching jokes, drugs but in a somewhat subtle way being a recurring aspect but not so much and sex in the same way, because it tries to recreate from the perspective of our two protagonists, A lifestyle of a band or known rockers but they get the opposite from the perspective of other people and viewers, much of these things are also influenced by the effects of drugs and mysticism, linked to the spike of fate certainly gradually and this makes it a very interesting weight outside the conventional.

   Personally I like very much how he closes in a narrative way his search before the pick of destiny, a tool with supernatural powers that in some way or another has had an indisputable presence, before very recognizable figures when playing the guitar since it is that, a pick to play better in addition to it the elements fixed before the folklore with the demon and its link with the music, is another point that I like a lot since in some way or another we have heard or we have been informed about tales eh stories or novels in which the figure of the devil has competed or made challenges with human beings, as a kind of way to note its outstanding and unnatural power in this case, the musical field, because as well as there are stories of that at that point there are also those with loans to this entity either monetarily or with other luxuries in exchange for your soul, an example in the musical field that can reflect it better is the song of Primus called: The Devil Went Donw To Georgia.

   In relation to the plot, and as I mentioned before, it is a musical comedy film that incorporates aspects that are intrusive and questionable but at the same time interesting, in which you can notice a certain touch of mysticism and adventure, a great part of the songs that are played in the film, come from the first albums that they released, because curiously they are two composers and singers who have a certain impact in the musical field, although in the film in the form of comedy shows the opposite and before the release of the film, they released a mini series, which I have not seen but maybe I'll give it a try. The plot certainly present the mention eh incorporation, of figures in the field of music very recognized as the vocalist Dio, one of the best vocalists in the world and his participation in the film singing for the first song shown in the film.

   In the musical aspect in this film and the one that obviously takes more weight, it shows a variety of songs quite interesting and with a good rhythm, the truth personally I liked the first "kikaboo" and "tribute" or were the ones that personally called more my attention certainly, in addition to this in a referential way several figures of the world of music and bands are mentioned, as Led Zeppelin, Dio, The Who or Queen in this section beyond the music that our protagonists interpret and the weight that they attribute to themselves or of which they proclaim themselves to be the best in the world, it does not matter so much, for me what has more weight is the magic of his letter in each music and the adventure.

   And well with this ends today's review, I feel it is a film that should not be taken seriously and is more than anything for a change or pass the time, of course if its absurd or somewhat simplistic humor at various points does not bother them, but beyond that in addition to the musical incorporation and how this, I hope it has its magic and makes it interesting, as always thank you very much for reading and for getting this far, I hope it has been a pleasant reading for you and without more to say until next time.

   La música es un elemento que se ha recreado en el cine, usando diversos medios y estilos que hagan contar de alguna u otra forma la variedad y el impacto que tiene ya sea de forma narrativa o para darle peso y ambientación, a la trama ante tantos momentos y lo que se nos pueda transmitir a través de ello, ajeno en si a este elemento principal ya bien mencionado, por ejemplo el año pasado cuando pude reseñar la película de Whiplash y de forma muy resumida quiero especificar acá, que podemos presenciar en ese film, ver el auto sacrificio para poder cumplir las expectativas de alguien y darlo todo en ese caso por el jazz usando como elementos la batería, tocando elementos de profundidad y seriedad. Sin embargo con esta película tales elementos musicales y narrativos toman un peso completamente diferente en todo sentido, si en Whiplash era seriedad, obsesión, sacrificio y sentimiento en el caso de Tenacious D lo podría a llegar a considerar como una comedia en la cual se inmiscuyen estos elementos musicales, así como aspectos vinculados a un estilo de vida de rockeros famosos, sin realmente serlos y haciendo que esto se presente como una burla ante lo que se muestra con lo que es la realidad en esta pelicula, pero eso es lo que hace que para mi sea tan buena de manera absurda.

   Es una banda que en esta película, no se tomaría enserio y en la cual combinan ese humor con la música convirtiendo toda la narrativa, en una aventura algo abstracta de la cual no tiene un lineamiento solido o tan solido como una espera, pero tampoco dejando de lado el foco principal a muy largo plazo. El humor que se utiliza quizás no haya a muchos que les guste, o puedan llegar a disfrutarlo porque se incorporaran otros aspectos como los chistes de gases o eructos, las drogas pero de manera algo sutil siendo un aspecto recurrente aunque no tanto y el sexo de la misma forma, porque se intenta recrear ante la perspectiva de nuestros dos protagonistas, un estilo de vida de banda o rockeros conocidos pero obtienen lo contrario ante la perspectiva ajena de la gente y los espectadores, gran parte de estas cosas también vienen siendo influenciado por los efectos de la drogas y el misticismo, ligado ante la púa del destino ciertamente de manera paulatina y esto hace que cobre un peso muy interesante fuera de lo convencional.

   En lo personal me gusta mucho como cierra de manera narrativa su búsqueda ante la púa del destino, una herramienta con poderes sobrenaturales que de alguna u otra forma a tenido una presencia indiscutible, ante figuras muy reconocías al tocar la guitarra ya que es eso, una púa para tocar mejor además de ello los elementos fijados ante el folklore con el demonio y su vinculación con la música, es otro punto que me gusta mucho ya que se alguna u otra forma hemos escuchado o nos hemos informado sobre cuentos eh historias o novelas en las cuales la figura del demonio a competido o hecho retos con seres humanos, como una especie de manera de hacer notar su poder sobresaliente y anti natural en este caso, el ámbito musical, ya que así como hay historias de eso en ese punto también las hay con prestamos hacia esta entidad ya sea de forma monetaria o con otros lujos a cambio de tu alma, un ejemplo en el ámbito musical que lo puede reflejar mejor es la canción de Primus llamada: The Devil Went Donw To Georgia.

   Con relación a la trama, y como ya mencione anteriormente, es una película de comedia musical que incorpora aspectos inmiscuidos y cuestionables pero al mismo tiempo interesante, en los cuales se nota cierto toque de misticismo y aventura, gran parte de las canciones que se toca en la película, vienen de los primeros álbumes que ellos sacaron, porque si curiosamente son dos compositores y cantantes que tienen cierto impacto en el ámbito musical, aunque en la película de forma a la comedia se muestre lo contrario y anteriormente ante el lanzamiento de la película, se sacaron una mini serie, de la cual no he visto pero quizás le dé una oportunidad. La trama ciertamente presente la mención eh incorporación, de figuras del ámbito de la música muy reconocidas como el vocalista Dio, uno de los mejores vocalistas del mundo y su participación en la película cantando para la primera canción que se muestra en el film.

   En el aspecto musical en esta película y el que obviamente cobra más peso, se muestra una variedad de canciones bastante interesantes y con un buen ritmo, la verdad en lo personal me gusto la primera "kikaboo" y "tribute" o fueron las que en lo personal llamaron mas mi atención ciertamente, además de esto de manera referencial se menciona a varias figuras del mundo de la música y bandas, como Led Zeppelin, Dio, The Who o Queen en este apartado mas allá de la música que interpretan nuestro protagonistas y el peso que ellos se atribuyen o de los cuales se auto proclaman al ser los mejores del mundo, no importa tanto, para mí lo que tiene más peso es la magia de su letra en cada música y la aventura.

   Y bueno con esto termina la reseña del día de hoy, siento que es una película que no se debe tomar enserio y es más que nada para variar o pasar el tiempo, claro si su humor absurdo o algo simplista en varios puntos no les molesta, pero más allá de ello además de la incorporación musical y el cómo esto, toma y cobra peso desde un punto de vista humorístico y satírico cobra relevancia, para mi dentro de lo que cabe tiene su magia y hace que sea interesante, como siempre muchas gracias, por leer y llegar hasta aquí espero haya sido la lectura grata para ustedes y sin más que decir hasta la próxima.

   Hello everyone !

   I want to watch this movie from a long time, around 4 years ago. When a friend show me a picture of Jack Black Fighting Satan in a Rock-Off.

   It seem that it's not that easy to find in France. I tried to download it, each time it was terrible. Low resolution, in french with really sh*try voices, or in english with japanese subtitles. The best way to see it was to buy the DVD. But I never looked for it.

   Few days ago, I bought a VPN, I did not buy it for that but tried to locate my internet connexion onto US servers to see what was on Netflix US that isn't in France. I was really seeing a lot of movies and saying "oh this one could be great" or "Oh, I never saw that one, put it on the list" and there is finally Tenacious D. I just clicked on play at this exact moment.

   One thing I did not realize is that, Because it's Netflix US, it's in English with English subtitles only and while I can understand English most of time, here they sleek pretty fast and use a lot of expressions and it can be hard to understand everything when english is not your native language.

   Fortunately, while I needed some concentration the first 5 minutes, it started to be way easier and I could enjoy the movie.

   

   The movie is a Fake BioPic of the group *Tenacious D, a rock group formed by the two principal actors, Jack Black and Kyle Gass.

   The main goal of the characters is to find the Pick Of Destiny to be able to write a new song that will transform them into the best Rck band of the moment and above all being able to.. Pay their rent ! To find the pick they will need to face several problem and prove their... bravery ? They'll need to quit their comfort zone and beat their ennemies.

   

   How to they beat their ennemies ? With Rock'n'roll !

   I usually don't like musical moovies but for this one it was really pleasant. The lyrics are really useful and most of time the musics are really well placed and not here just to make something cool like it was on movies likes "High school musical".

   

   I am that kind of people that you hate when you ask :"What kinf of music do you listen to ?" because my answer is "Everything". But my answers is a little bigger that that. I indeed listen to a lot of kinds ofmusic, but I'm really selective and listen to very few songs of each. One kind of music I love is Classical musics. One thing I love even more is mixing two types of musics that are really different. Like Classical-Dubstep for exemple, or with some rock, and that happened :

   That's one of the reason I started to love the movie after few minutes.

   The face they are both making all along the movie are awesome and I don't find it too stupid.

   At first, I thougt It was bringing me memories from the movies "Jay and silent Bob". But, there was differences. Then I remembered of another series of movies.

   

   There is so much similarites between these movies. And I love them so much (I only saw episode 2 and 3 of Bill and Ted).

   They are both buddy movies, with Rock'n'Roll, two dumb characters doing strange faces and calling everyone "Dude" and obviously meeting Satan in person.

   What I like more about it compared to bill and ted is that this movie is not showing us a lot of supernatural events. We're not visiting hell or travelling in time. Just following to guys looking for a guitar pick with a pizza deliverer car school and farting. They don't do this to save the world, only to play more Rock'n'Roll.

   

   This movie is something really simple. If you liked Rock, Jack Black and can hear some jokes about penises, you will probably have some great time watching this movie.

   I really think that if you did not already see this movie you should give it a try. Even if there is Penis and fart jokes some others are really funny and not that stupid.

   The movie is showing how to creat friendships and that could really talk to teenagers even if the actors are between 34 and 44 years old because they are really acting like young and lost adults.
