I went to see Terminator: Dark Fate last night and the theater was basically empty. The reviews have been less than wonderful but despite both negatives I liked the film. I do have to admit it was a little hard to watch because they basically retconned the last three Terminator movies out of existence. It seems like the most important factor in a movie's success these days is the nostalgia factor. The Disney live-action remakes and even Marvel leaning into their own past, a blast from the past is a good way to make money or at least get some extra attention.
