[The Boys] To be honest, the trailer for the final season is... very weak in my opinion. I don't feel any sense of seriousness at all, I just feel like it's a continuation of Season 1. But that's probably just me, and when The Boys ends, Bezos will just be counting money and watching the stock market rise. It's a shame this show was so long. At least two unnecessary seasons.

[Warner x Netflix x Paramount] Due to the size of this news, I waited a few days to avoid constantly changing my story. Well, it looks like Paramount ultimately won. Was Trump used for this? It's very possible that the head of Paramount (the son of a wealthy man who bought his child a film studio) literally licked his ass. Was that really the case? I don't know, so I won't discuss Donald Trump unless news breaks.
So what does it look like from the film perspective? It will be a bit better for theaters if Paramount takes over, because Sarados has his own business model and doesn't care. On the other hand, many employees will resign if Paramount takes them over. Why? Because this company is terribly anti-employee. I wrote extensively about this in 2025 before the merger with Skydance. There's no perfect solution to this situation; each option has minor advantages and major drawbacks. [The Boys] Jeśli mam być szczery, to trailer finałowego sezonu, jest... Wg mnie bardzo słaby. W ogóle nie czuję tej powagi, tylko mam wrażenie, jakby to była kontynuacja 1 sezonu. No ale to pewnie tylko ja i jak The Boys zaczną się kończyć, to Bezos będzie jedynie liczył pieniądze i obserwował wzloty na giełdzie. Szkoda, że ten serial był tak długi. Co najmniej o 2 zbędne sezony.

[Warner x Netflix x Paramount] Z uwagi na wielkość tego newsa, poczekałem kilka dni, by co chwilę nie zmieniać wersji. Cóż, wygląda na to, że ostatecznie to Paramount zwyciężył. Czy Trump został do tego wykorzystany? Bardzo możliwe, szef Paramountu (syn bogatego człowieka, który kupił swojemu dziecku wytwórnię filmową) dosłownie wylizał mu środek dupy. Czy na pewno tak było? Nie wiem, dlatego nie będę poruszał tematu Donalda, o ile nie wyjdą jakieś newsy.
Zatem jak to wygląda od strony filmowej? Dla kin będzie trochę lepiej, jak Paramount to przejmie, bo Sarados ma swój model biznesowy i nie zależy mu. Z drugiej strony, wielu pracowników zrezygnuje, gdy Paramount ich przejmie. Czemu? Bo ta firma jest strasznie anty-pracownicza. W 2025 dużo o tym pisałem przed fuzją ze Skydance. Nie ma dobrego rozwiązania w tej sytuacji, każde wiąże się z niewielkimi zaletami, za to dużymi wadami. No ale przynajmniej kina pożyją trochę dłuzej.

Yesterday's post was all about the Terrifier 1 movie that aired in 2016. In case you want to read my initial review say no more and click here. So something notable about the first movie is that they had a 35000$ budget and managed to earn around 400000 dollars/gross. So basically 10x times their budget.
Having that success in 2022 the next Terriffier movie came out. The budget this time was increased significantly but not like every other mainstream movie to 250000$. Now they managed to earn back almost 60 times that amount, yes you heard correctly 60 times or 15.741.780$ to be exact. They did freaking amazing and that's why a third movie came out this year which i will review tomorrow.
Get ready for some minor spoilers but not any big-time things
So at the end of episode one Art the Clown pretty much dies but we get to see him again alive in the second movie. That is why a sinister entity decided to resurrect him and sent him to kill a teenage girl and boy along with everyone else in his path. The theme is again Halloween and the the teenagers are Sienna and her younger brother Jonathan.
The twist in this movie which also gives some stranger things vibes as it's like everything happening a couple of years ago from 2022, is that there is an actual plot. It's not just Art killing every single person just because, well he does, but there is a deeper story behind these teenagers so now the movies get more interesting due to that.
For starters, as i said there is an actual plot which is quite good for the show as i believe you enjoy it more that way. I also think due to that i became more successful. If it was again just random killings i don't think it would earn 60 times its budget. Also, the plot was quite decent to be honest and you wanted as a viewer to find out what will happen next.
Regarding the special effects, ofc with more budget everything got better, the same applies to the actors and cast, as there were more and the same also applies to the variety in places comparing it to the first movie. Again the "fun" element was there and to tell you the truth i find Art act more like a "clown" than the first moving, with more funny scenes and him trolling his victims. Honestly speaking i liked it a lot and suggested it to 2 friends who also don't watch horror. They both watched the 3 movies in 2 days and had fun as well!

I didn't call this text a review for a simple reason - Terrifier 2 is an almost completely standard slasher production. If you remember the classics from your youth or when you were a child, you know how this movie will turn out. There is no big or noticeable (in my opinion) plot revolution here. What's more, I feel like I'm watching a budget version of Halloween or Friday the 13th. That's why I don't want to write a classic review - I decided that the advantages of this title would be better expressed in a different type of text. When I was telling my girlfriend about the film's earnings yesterday (I had prepared next week's news, including a BoxOffice review, a few hours earlier), they were $69 million. Looking through BoxOfficeMojo while revising the text, the amount had grown to almost 73. Btw. you don't have to know the previous part. Almost everything you need to know you can find out here or you can guess very easily. That's what my friend told me, whom I refer to later. Me and my girlfriend never had any problems understanding what was going on. Apart from the paranormal motifs, because at the beginning it was actually a fresh experience.
I would be stupid to expect more than what I received - the film cost $250,000 and is directed and written by a debutant, Damien Leone. This year, the third part was released in cinemas, and it cost an astronomical amount... $2 million! You must have heard about it because it caused a lot of controversy due to its brutality. Apparently the French ran screaming from the cinema, which surprises me a bit. When I was a child, French cinema was still associated with directly showing sex or violence, and the French themselves laughed that Americans were so sensitive.
The movie is brutal. It's not the sharpest production I've ever seen (although the scenes with the penis being torn off and the skin torn off the thigh were included in my list of the most effective murder scenes I've ever seen in a movie), but if you're disgusted by the massacre of faces, the celebration of brutality (showing brutality for brutality's sake), painful infliction of wounds, I recommend watching it. In terms of the script, its structure, direction, plots, finale, etc. is a classic, almost textbook slasher film. As if someone wanted to create an extreme, old-school shooter. Like these new games based on the Duke Nukem 3D engine. That is, we collect keys, run fast, massacre enemies even faster, fight the Boss who is a sponge for bullets, etc. No or minimal logic puzzles (as in Q1 or DN3D), no aspects that spoil the fast and bloody gameplay. At the same time, the film is not excessively imitative in this respect. Me and my long-time friend Rafał said during the screening that it was more of a tribute to the classics of this genre. It's clear that the author is passionate about it and knows very well why people love this genre.
Even though the budget is clearly low (just like in Upgrade, only much stronger), Terrifier 2 was made correctly. Only in some scenes, mainly the removal of guts from inside the body, the microscopic budget is visible. However, they looked good enough for me to turn a blind eye to it. Besides, a small budget is an advantage when the film is created by a clever enthusiast who knows how to allocate the budget. A good example of this is the use of the niche genre of Synthwave music. It is atmospheric and reminiscent of the '80s and '90s (it is one of the most popular trends in this genre). If, like me, you love the style of those times, the characteristic sounds, colors and designs of various objects and places, you will feel right at home. I would say it organically connects with the scenes we see. The impression is enhanced by the fact that the music comes from the speakers and was not added by the editing program. Another example of good budget management is the use of classic films from the public domain.
The biggest advantage of Terrifier 2, however, is the character of Art the clown. After seeing photos from the film, I had a feeling that it was a well-thought-out and refined creation, and the screening itself only confirmed this for me. What's more, I didn't expect it to be so good! I can without hesitation put him next to the heroes of Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween and other popular slashers. In an old anime known as Initial D, there was a scene in which several heroes said that they felt just by the aura that they were dealing with an extraordinary individual. I felt exactly the same during the session. Even though he doesn't say a single word (or make any sound) during the session, I always knew exactly what he wanted to communicate to us with his facial expressions and gestures. Usually it is laughter, either in the form of enjoying the infliction of excruciating pain or reacting to funny situations, but not only that. As absurd as it may sound, Art also displays other feelings. You can also see longing, love and sadness. At least on some level, after all, even sociopaths sometimes feel emotions or have feelings (I mean, they don't necessarily have to feel them, they may manifest them on a subconscious level or not be aware of them). In every situation, regardless of the circumstances, I watched his unhurried movements with excitement and fascination. Why rush when our prey can't escape? Let's celebrate it! There is a certain magic in them that draws your eyes to the screen in a hypnotic way. Some of the murder scenes are quite classic for the slasher genre, but in a few cases Damien Leone went a step further and it is in them that Art shines the brightest. It was heartwarming to see him smile when he gave kids candy from a freshly severed head or ripped the skin off alive like he was unwrapping a Christmas present. This is not only thanks to Damien Leone, but above all the actor. He's so fucking real, you could honestly mistake him for a murderer. Facial expressions, gaze, movements, energy and the aura it creates. David Thornton rose to the challenge and I'll be surprised if he doesn't get flooded with acting offers after the Terrifier trilogy.
Contrary to some people's complaints, the market is not closed to new creators and we constantly receive new productions. Yes, it is more difficult in some respects, but on the other hand our task is also a bit easier. I'm not talking about the worse situation of actors, directors and game creators - this is a slightly different category and different issues should not be mixed. Moreover, thanks to wider access to knowledge, works of culture and better communication, we no longer have to graduate from specialized schools. This does not mean that we do not need knowledge and patterns of creation. You can absorb this information in a different, faster way and skip this stage (or other stages) or at least shorten it significantly. Not everything we learn is useful, and if someone has talent or knows a given field, they need even less raw data. Because, contrary to appearances, it is not them that are the most important, but a set of specific skills. The world is full of at best average creators who don't have much talent but have managed to raise their skills to a relatively satisfactory level. But will it be satisfactory for those who are looking for originality, a fresh approach, quality, a new name that can create something unique? Usually not. Such people usually prefer people like Damien Leone. Those who know what they are doing and what fans of a given genre want to see. Its production isn't perfect, but all the imperfections I saw in the T2 are simple things to fix. I believe that it will get better and better from movie to movie. I can't wait for part 3 to be streamed.

Jeżeli kojarzycie klasyki z czasów swojej młodości lub gdy byliście dziećmi, wiecie jak się potoczy ten film. Nie ma tutaj żadnej dużej lub odczuwalnej (w moim mniemaniu) fabularnej rewolucji. Powiem nawet więcej, mam wrażenie jakbym oglądał budżetową wersję Halloween lub Friday 13th. Dlatego nie chce mi się pisać klasycznej recenzji - uznałem że zalety tego tytułu lepiej wybrzmią w innym typie tekstu. Gdy wczoraj mówiłem swojej dziewczynie o zarobkach tego filmu (parę godzin wcześniej przygotowałem newsy na przyszły tydzień, w tym przegląd BoxOffice), wynosiły one 69 milionów dolarów. Przeglądając BoxOfficeMojo podczas poprawiania tekstu, kwota ta urosła do prawie 73. Btw. nie musicie znać poprzedniej częsci. Niemal wszystko co musicie wiedzieć, dowiadujecie się tutaj lub bardzo łatwo się domyślicie. Tak mi mówił mój kumpel, do którego odnoszę się później. Ja i moja dziewczyna ani przez chwilę nie mieliśmy problemów ze zrozumieniem o co chodzi. Pomijając wątek motywów paranormalnych, bo na początku to było faktycznie świeże doświadczenie.
Byłbym głupi, gdybym oczekiwał czegoś więcej niż otrzymałem - film kosztował 250 tysięcy dolarów, a jego reżyserem i scenarzystą jest debiutant, Damien Leone. W tym roku do kin trafiła trzecia część, która kosztowała astronomiczną kwotę... 2 miliony dolarów! Na pewno o niej słyszeliście, bo wywołała dużo kontrowersji z powodu swojej brutalności. Podobno Francuzi wybiegali z krzykiem z sali kinowej, co mnie trochę dziwi. Jak ja byłem dzieckiem, to kino francuskie ciągle było kojarzone z bezpośrednim pokazywaniem seksu, czy przemocy, zaś sami Francuzi śmiali się, że Amerykanie są tacy wrażliwi.
Film jest brutalny. Nie jest to najostrzejsza produkcja jaką widziałem (choć sceny z wyrywaniem penisa i odrywaniem skóry z uda, trafiły do mojej listy najefektywniejszych scen mordu, jakie widziałem w filmie), ale jeżeli brzydzi Was masakrowanie twarzy, celebracja brutalności (pokazywanie brutalności dla samej brutalności), bolesne zadawanie ran, to polecam obejrzeć. Pod względem scenariusza, jego struktury, reżyserii, wątków, finału etc. to klasyczny, wręcz podręcznikowy slasher. Tak jakby ktoś chciał stworzyć skrajny, old-schoolowy shooter. Jak te nowe gry bazujące na silniku Duke Nukem 3D. Czyli zbieramy klucze, szybko biegniemy, jeszcze szybciej masakrujemy przeciwników, walczymy z Bossem, który jest gąbką na pociski etc. Zero zagadek logicznych lub ich minimum (jak w Q1 lub DN3D), zero jakichkolwiek aspektów psujących szybką i krwawą rozgrywkę. Jednocześnie film nie jest nadmiernie odtwórczy w tej kwestii. Ja i mój wieloletni kumpel Rafał, powiedzieliśmy w trakcie seansu, że to bardziej hołd złożony dla klasyków tego gatunku. Widać że autor jest jego pasjonatem i bardzo dobrze wie, za co ludzie pokochali ten gatunek.
Mimo, że widać niski budżet (podobnie jak w Upgrade, tylko że znacznie mocniej), to Terrifier 2 został poprawnie wykonany. Jedynie przy niektórych scenach, głównie wyrywaniu flaków z wnętrza ciała, widać mikroskopijny budżet. Wyglądały one jednak na tyle dobrze, bym mógł na to przymknąć oko. Zresztą, niewielki budżet jest zaletą, gdy film jest tworzony przez sprytnego pasjonata, który wie jak rozdzielić budżet. Dobrym przykładem na to jest wykorzystanie niszowego gatunku muzyki Synthwave. Jest klimatyczna i kojarzy się z latami '80 i '90 (jest to jeden z popularniejszych trendów w tym gatunku). Jeśli podobnie jak ja, uwielbiacie stylistykę tamtych czasów, charakterystyczne dla nich dźwięki, kolory i designy różnych przedmiotów, czy miejsc, to poczujecie się jak w domu. Powiedziałbym, że organicznie łączy się ze scenami, które widzimy. Wrażenie jest potęgowane przez to, że muzyka wydobywa się z głośników, a nie została dodana przez program do montażu. Kolejny przykład dobrego gospodarowania budżetem, jest wykorzystanie klasycznych filmów z domeny publicznej.
Największą zaletą Terrifier 2, jest jednak postać klauna Arta. Już po obejrzeniu zdjęć z filmu, przeczuwałem że to przemyślana i dopracowana kreacja, a sam seans jedynie mnie w tym utwierdził. Mało tego, nie spodziewałem się że będzie aż tak dobry! Mogę go bez zawahania postawić obok bohaterów Elm Street, Friday 13th, Halloween i innych popularnych slasherów, W starym anime znanym jako Initial D, była scena, w której kilku bohaterów powiedziało, że czują po samej aurze, iż mają do czynienia z nieprzeciętną jednostką. Dokładnie tak samo czułem się podczas seansu. Mimo, że podczas seansu nie wypowiada ani jednego słowa (ani nie wydaje żadnego dźwięku), to za każdym razem doskonale wiedziałem, co chce nam zakomunikować swoją mimiką, czy gestykulacją. Zazwyczaj jest to śmiech, czy to w formie radowania się z zadawania potwornego bólu, czy reakcji na zabawne sytuacje, ale nie tylko. Jakkolwiek absurdalnie to nie zabrzmi, Art przejawia też inne uczucia. Widać też tęsknotę, miłość i smutek. Przynajmniej na jakimś poziomie, wszak nawet socjopatom zdarza się czuć emocje lub mieć uczucia (chodzi mi o to, że niekoniecznie muszą to czuć, mogą to objawiać na poziomie podświadomym lub nie zdawać sobie z nich sprawy). W każdej sytuacji, niezależnie od okoliczności, obserwowałem z podnieceniem i fascynacją jego niespieszne ruchy. Po co się śpieszyć, gdy nasza ofiara nie może uciec? Celebrujmy to! Jest w nich pewna magia, która w hipnotyczny sposób przykuwa oczy do ekranu. Niektóre sceny mordu są dość klasyczne dla gatunku slasherów, ale w paru przypadkach Damien Leone poszedł o krok dalej i to właśnie w nich Art błyszczy najjaśniejszym światłem. Serce samo radowało się widząc jego uśmiech, gdy dawał dzieciakom cukierki z świeżo odrąbanej głowy lub zrywał skórę na żywca, jakby rozpakowywał świąteczny prezent. To nie tylko zasługa Damiena Leone, ale przede wszystkim aktora. Jest tak kurewsko autentyczny, że można naprawdę pomylić go z mordercą. Mimika, spojrzenie, ruchy, energia i aura jaką wytwarza. David Thornton stanął na wysokości zadania i będę zdziwiony, jak po trylogii Terrifiera nie dostanie zasypany propozycjami aktorskimi.
Wbrew narzekaniom niektórych ludzi, rynek nie jest zablokowany dla nowych twórców i ciągle dostajemy nowe produkcje. Owszem, w pewnych kwestiach jest trudniej, ale z drugiej strony mamy też nieco ułatwione zadanie. Nie mówię tutaj o gorszej sytuacji aktorów, reżyserów, twórców gier - to trochę inna kategoria i nie powinno się mieszać różnych kwestii. Co więcej, dzięki szerszemu dostępowi do wiedzy, dzieł kultury oraz lepszej komunikacji, nie musimy już kończyć specjalistycznych szkół. To nie oznacza, że nie potrzebujemy wiedzy oraz wzorców tworzenia. Można przyswoić te informacje w inny, szybszy sposób oraz pominąć ten etap (lub inne etapy) lub przynajmniej znacząco go skrócić. Nie wszystko, czego się uczymy jest przydatne, a jak ktoś ma talent lub zna daną dziedzinę, to potrzebuje jeszcze mniej suchych danych. Bo wbrew pozorom to nie one są najważniejsze, a zestaw konkretnych umiejętności. Świat jest pełen co najwyżej średnich twórców, którzy nie mają zbyt dużo talentu, ale zdołali podnieść swoje umiejętności do relatywnie zadowalającego poziomu. Tylko czy będzie on zadowalający dla tych, którzy szukają oryginalności, świeżego podejścia, jakości, nowego nazwiska, które potrafi stworzyć coś wyjątkowego? Zwykle nie. Takie osoby zazwyczaj preferują ludzi jak Damien Leone. Takich którzy wiedzą co robią i co chcą zobaczyć fani danego gatunku. Jego produkcja nie jest idealna, ale wszystkie niedoskonałości, które zobaczyłem w T2, to proste rzeczy do naprawy. Wierzę, że z filmu na film będzie coraz lepszy. Terrifier 2 means Art is finally back in a good movie Reading various reviews and watching the first one, I was again expecting an amateurishly shot horror film with no plot, as long as there was something going on, but my surprise was big when I discovered that the film does not have the biggest flaw of the previous part, namely the tragic camera work and poor filters imitating an old film.
The film begins where Part 1 ended so the maniacal clown Art escapes from the dissecting room to go to the laundromat.
This time Art will not be alone in his righteous crusade as he will be assisted by a mysterious clown girl.
The film focuses on some siblings who are slowly preparing for the best day of the year - Halloween.
The brother, fascinated by horror movies and the macabre events of the year before, decides to choose Art's costume.
His sister, a teenager with panic attacks, also plans her costume.
In what can be said to be an ordinary story, a serial killer suddenly appears to give the siblings an unforgettable Halloween. The film balances between a scary horror film and a fairly light comedy.
As for the plot, I have to admit it is consistent and even makes you feel curious even, you feel like finding out how the fate of the characters will turn out.
You can see a huge progress when it comes to the visual part there are no filters in the film,and the actors play at quite a tolerable level rallying the director has learned from the previous work and added many new interesting tricks. In the film there is a large amount of gore, while in the first part there were literally a few, here the gore appears for a significant part of the work. Art does not limit himself and kills his victims in a rather direct way. Of course, the kills themselves are already performed to a rather comical degree, although those unfamiliar with the genre may feel uncomfortable during the screening. The film draws inspiration from A Nightmare on Elm Street and it comes out quite well, we don't get a fake but an interesting vision of a mad clown who hunts not only in the open.
The character of the clown himself is done very well even you can feel the revulsion of this gruesomely character. As for the finale, you can see here the director has already completely started to change the concept from horror to fantasy cinema( female warrior with a magic sword). The 2nd part is a successful film that works perfectly for Halloween, hectroliters of spilled blood and uncharacteristic jokes of the victims even add to the macabre charm of this work.
When I finished the film I was overjoyed that the director went this way despite everything, keeping a good taste of the whole and not making the film long, and the film plays close to 140 minutes. I was expecting a 1/10 film, and got a much more interesting story than in the latest Halloween rally, so I recommend it, although I warn you there are a few scenes that may be slightly shocking to the casual cinephile. 7/10

Siostra jego nastolatka z atakami paniki, tez planuje swój kostium.
W tej można rzec zwyczajnej historii nagle pojawia się seryjny morderca, który da rodzeństwu niezapomniane Halloween. Film balansuje między strasznym horrorem, a dość lekka komedia.
Jeśli chodzi fabule to muszę przyznać jest ona konsekwentna i nawet sprawia wrażenie zaciekawienia wręcz, ma się ochotę dowiedzieć się jak potoczą się losy bohaterow.
Widać ogromny postęp jeśli chodzi o wizualna cześć nie ma w filmie jakiś filtrów,a aktorzy grają na całkiem znośnym poziomie wiec reżyser wyniósł wnioski z poprzedniego dzieła i dodał wiele nowych ciekawych sztuczek. W filmie jest duża ilość gore o ile w pierwszej części było ich dosłownie kilka tak tutaj gore pojawia się przez znaczna cześć tego dzieła. Art nie ogranicza się i zabija swoje ofiary w dość bezpośredni sposób. Oczywiście same zabójstwa już są w dość komicznym stopniu wykonane, choć osoby nie znające tego gatunku mogą odczuć dyskomfort w czasie seansu. Film czerpie inspiracje z Koszmaru z Ulicy Wiązów i wychodzi to całkiem sprawnie nie dostajemy podróbki a ciekawa wizje szaleńczego klauna który poluje nie tylko na jawie.
Sama postać klauna jest wykonana bardzo dobrze wręcz można odczuć wstręt do tej makabrycznie postaci. Co do finału to widać tutaj już całkowicie reżyser zaczął zmieniać koncept z horroru do kina fantasy( wojowniczka z magicznym mieczem) 2 cześć to udany film, który na Halloween idealnie się sprawuje, hektrolitry wylanej krwi i nietuzinkowe żarty ofiar wręcz dodają makabrycznego uroku temu dziełu.
Kiedy skończyłem film byłem uradowany, ze reżyser poszedł w ta stronę mimo wszystko zachowując dobry smak całości i nie robiąc dłużyn, a film gra blisko 140 minut. Spodziewałem się filmu na 1/10, a otrzymałem dużo ciekawsza historie niż w najnowszym Halloween wiec polecam choć uprzedzam jest kilka scen, które mogą być lekko szokujące dla zwykłego kinomaniaka. 7/10
