  1. The 33: The Dramatic and Intense Recreation of a Disaster@giovaabbatichio2436d

Films that base most of their plot and script on real events will always be films that I would enjoy because they allow me to explore another point of view in terms of stories and highlights, moments that allow us to connect more with facts and characters through realistic recreations. I say all this because today I want to talk to you about a film that makes the most of a really complex and pressing situation to give us a film with a very emotional story, I'm talking about The 33.

    # # The Plot. # The 33 is a film that took as its main focus the tragedy that held captive for more than 60 days a group of miners who were forced to live underground, locked up and enduring all kinds of inhuman conditions. The film tells us from the beginning and with a fascinating rhythm each of the moments that originated one of the most notable disasters in Latin America, a disaster that kept a group of workers captive underground without help and without outside human contact for a long time. Through the film we will be able to explore each of the days that the miners had to spend locked up in a mine, days that became eternal and that are narrated with an intensity that makes us connect with the characters on a human level because we become witnesses of each of the things they had to endure to survive.

The film makes us part of the most difficult moments that marked the life of a group of hardworking men who found themselves in a life or death situation where they could do practically nothing, a situation that changed them and made them appreciate their lives to the fullest. But the film not only allows us to see the situation of the miners but also that of their families and the people who were in charge of moving heaven and earth to help them and to get them out of a situation that put them on the verge of death and above all a situation that tormented them and almost broke them emotionally.

The plot is constructed in an intense way, because it allows us to see details that didn't appear in the press and that were exposed in the film in a wonderful way, details that marked the course of the rescue operation and above all that allowed creating a dramatic and suspenseful atmosphere around an event as disastrous as the one that those miners had to live.

    # # Personal Opinion # Without a doubt this is a film that captivated me above all because as a journalist it let me explore in a closer way all the details and all the chronology that was created around a disaster of significant magnitudes, a disaster that fortunately could be resolved but that made clear the vices and the power that society can exercise so that this kind of things are resolved in the right way. The plot of this film is great because it gives us a walk through the different personal stories of each miner, allowing us to connect with each on a personal level so that all events become more intense and of course more dramatic.

A film that fantastically manages to recreate a disaster without diminishing the importance of the characters and that at the same time is responsible for giving a very strong critique to the way in which politicians act in this type of situation, politicians who instinctively seek to plug the leaks rather than solve the real problem. It is an authentic visual delight the way we see recreated those scenes underground where the characters transmit their pain and above all the anguish they felt at all times, characters that we see evolve into something different, becoming what they need to be to survive.

In conclusion this is a film that incredibly manages to let us see the events as real and intense as possible so that the story stands out above anything else.
