Saludos amantes del cine, recibí la invitación de @chacald.dcymt para participar en el CineTV Contest que tiene como temática el trabajo duro. Por esto les compartiré una de las películas que me parece que define muy bien lo que es el trabajo: Los 33.

Greetings movie lovers, I received an invitation from @chacald.dcymt to participate in the CineTV Contest, which has hard work as its theme. For this reason I will share with you one of the films that I think defines very well what work is: Los 33.

Los 33 / The 33

Esta película es de 2015 y está basada en un hecho completamente real que sucedió en 2010, protagonizada por Antonio Banderas y otros grandes actores entre estadounidenses y latinoamericanos, narra la historia de los 33 mineros que quedaron atrapados bajo tierra en una mina en el desierto de Atacama en Chile, este suceso aún está en mis memoria pues me yo estaba estudiando en la universidad cuando mi mamá me ponía al corriente de las noticias que pasaban, esta noticia tomo mucho revuelo y recorrió el mundo por la magnitud de los acontecido.

This film is from 2015 and is based on a completely real event that happened in 2010, starring Antonio Banderas and other great American and Latin American actors, tells the story of the 33 miners who were trapped underground in a mine in the desert of Atacama in Chile, this event is still in my memory because I was studying at the university when my mother brought me up to date with the news that was happening, this news made a lot of noise and traveled the world due to the magnitude of what happened.

En esa mina ocurrió un gran desplazamiento de la montaña, deslizándose una gran roca mineral que era imposible de penetrar, allí adentro de encontraban 33 mineros que tuvieron la suerte de sobrevivir y se quedaron en un pequeño espacio llamado el refugio, allí solo tenían provisiones para 3 días y además no había otra salida, al parecer no se construyeron en la mina escaleras de emergencia y ninguna salida por chimeneas ni nada parecido, solo había una entrada y salida que fue bloqueada por el derrumbe. Lo más asombroso además de que estos mineros pudieran sobrevivir es que dicha mina estaba operando desde hacía más de cien años y aún así no cumplía con las normas de seguridad minina.

In that mine a great displacement of the mountain occurred, sliding a large mineral rock that was impossible to penetrate, inside there were 33 miners who were lucky enough to survive and stayed in a small space called the refuge, there they only had provisions for 3 days and also there was no other exit, apparently no emergency stairs were built in the mine and no exit through chimneys or anything like that, there was only one entrance and exit that was blocked by the collapse. The most amazing thing besides that these miners were able to survive is that the mine had been operating for more than a hundred years and still did not meet the minimum safety standards.

Muchas veces la gente habla sobre el trabajo duro sin saber lo que es el privilegio, el mundo no es color de rosa y muchos lo saben, sin embargo a veces la comodidad de nuestra situación general nos impide ver que muy cerca están las personas que no tienen ninguna oportunidad laboral más que lo que le ofrece el sistema. Es decir, no creo que exista en una persona que haya nacido y su sueño sea ser obrero de una mina, de una finca, una constructora o de una empresa textil, entre otras cosas. Sin embargo, los trabajos pesados y de alto riesgo están a la orden para las personas que han nacido siendo de bajos recursos, estos trabajo son necesarios para que la rueda siga girando, pero en el camino la vida de la gente menos favorecida siempre es la afectada.

Many times people talk about hard work without knowing what privilege is, the world is not rosy and many know it, however sometimes the comfort of our general situation prevents us from seeing that people who do not they have no job opportunity other than what the system offers them. In other words, I don't think it exists in a person who was born and his dream is to be a worker in a mine, on a farm, a construction company or a textile company, among other things. However, heavy and high-risk jobs are in order for people who were born low-income, these jobs are necessary for the wheel to keep turning, but along the way the life of the less favored people is always the affected.

Cuantas personas conocemos que tal como los mineros en los que se inspiró la película, simplemente no escogieron su trabajo, sino que era la opción que tenían, como si fuese poco los mineros al cabo de un tiempo ven su esperanza de vida reducida por los problemas de salud que genera dicho trabajo. En el caso de la película y de la historia real se hace ver como cada uno de los 33 hombres tenía una vida que esperaba mejorar, algunos deseaban que sus hijos no siguieran su camino de ser mineros, otros tenían esperanzas en que la jubilación llegaría pronto mientras que otros esperaban aprovechar hasta sus dias libres para trabajar en la mina pues les daba un ingreso un poco mayor que trabajo en su pueblo, incluso había un migrante boliviano, es decir un hombre que esperaba que su vida mejorara trabajando en otro pais. Cada uno de ellos era una persona común que trabaja arduamente y sin embargo aún sabiendo que era un trabajo de riesgo iban a trabajar todos los días por sus familias y sus sueños.

How many people do we know who, like the miners on whom the film was inspired, simply did not choose their job, but rather it was the option they had, as if that were not enough, miners after a while see their life expectancy reduced by problems of health generated by such work. In the case of the film and the real story, it is shown how each of the 33 men had a life that they hoped to improve, some wished that their children would not follow their path of being miners, others hoped that retirement would come soon. while others hoped to take advantage of their days off to work in the mine because it gave them a slightly higher income than work in their town, there was even a Bolivian migrant, that is, a man who hoped that his life would improve by working in another country. Each one of them was an ordinary person who works hard and yet even knowing that it was a risky job, they went to work every day for their families and their dreams.

Esta película no sólo demuestra que tan trabajadores son las personas de escasos recursos, sino que además demuestra que poco importa lo mucho que una persona común se esfuerce, la mayoría de las veces siempre está a meced de situaciones es que podrían agraviarlo sin que pueda tomar una acción en contra de esto, en la película se ve como la empresa minera privada que empleaba a esos hombres no cumplió con la seguridad minina, sino que además ni siquiera tenía los recursos para responder adecuadamente en caso de presentarse una emergencia.

This movie not only shows how hard-working poor people are, but it also shows that no matter how hard an ordinary person tries, most of the time he is always at the mercy of situations that could hurt him without being able to take an action against this, in the film it is seen how the private mining company that employed these men did not comply with minimum security, but also did not even have the resources to respond adequately in the event of an emergency.

En muchas partes del mundo existen leyes que se cumplen, pero en cambio hay casos en que esto no es así, sabiendo que el mundo es tan grande y hay tanta corrupción, cuantas personas estarán laborando en este preciso momento en un lugar que no es seguro me preguntó yo, sobre todo porque muchas veces la corrupción es común en los países donde existen minas y fábricas de gran escala , muchas veces no se cumplen con los protocolos ni con la infraestructura necesaria para garantizar a los trabajadores su seguridad, pero por tratos políticos dichas empresas obtienen sus permisos.

In many parts of the world there are laws that are followed, but on the other hand there are cases in which this is not the case, knowing that the world is so big and there is so much corruption, how many people will be working at this precise moment in a place that is not safe I asked myself, especially because many times corruption is common in countries where there are large-scale mines and factories, many times the protocols and the necessary infrastructure are not complied with to guarantee workers their safety, but because of political deals these companies obtain their permits.

Para mi esta película es importante porque visibilizar la historia de 33 hombres que vivieron nada más y nada menos que 69 días bajo tierra es increíble, aunque existen critica de que la película no muestra la realidad del compañerismo de los mineros. Esta película sin exagerar, muestra como en medio de la desesperación de los familiares clamando por justicia se ponen a acampar en las afueras de la mina, se muestra cuando la empresa privada sede la autoridad al gobierno para que este comience las labores de rescate, además se da detalle de cuales eran las dificultades técnicas, pues las perforadora la cavaban profundo se tienden a desviar del ángulo esperado, por lo que los constantes intentos eran infructíferos después de quince días por lo que ya no quedaba ninguna esperanza de llegar a los mineros y encontrarlos vivos, cuando al fin se logra llegar al punto con la perforadora y tener contacto con los mineros, el verdadero reto comienza, este es poder sacar a los hombres vivos, por lo que necesitan otros equipo y tratar de hacer algo que nunca en la historia de había visto.

For me, this film is important because making visible the story of 33 men who lived nothing more and nothing less than 69 days underground is incredible, although there are critics that the film does not show the reality of the miners' fellowship. Without exaggeration, this film shows how, in the midst of the desperation of the relatives crying out for justice, they start camping on the outskirts of the mine, it is shown when the private company transfers the authority to the government so that it begins the rescue work, in addition details are given of what the technical difficulties were, since the drills dug it deep and tend to deviate from the expected angle, so the constant attempts were unsuccessful after fifteen days, so there was no longer any hope of reaching the miners and find them alive, when you finally get to the point with the drill and have contact with the miners, the real challenge begins, this is to be able to get the men out alive, so they need other equipment and try to do something that never in the story of had seen.

Si no han visto la película no quisiera arruinarle la experiencia, puesto que el desenlace es obvio por ser basada en hechos reales, el desarrollo de la película es lo que atrapa, pues solo imaginen vivir 69 días bajo tierra 33 hombres. Si alguna vez piensas que por ejemplo tener un celular es fácil, solo imagina de donde proviene cada unos los materiales que fueron utilizados para ese celular, pensar en cuantas personas ha trabajado tan duro para obtener la materia prima de cualquier artefacto de uso común, hay que apreciar el trabajo de todos desde el escalón más bajo y sobre todo hay que tener claro que no todo el mundo tiene la opción de escoger.

If you haven't seen the movie, I wouldn't want to ruin your experience, since the outcome is obvious because it is based on real events, the development of the movie is what catches you, because just imagine 33 men living 69 days underground. If you ever think that, for example, having a cell phone is easy, just imagine where each of the materials that were used for that cell phone comes from, think of how many people have worked so hard to obtain the raw material for any device in common use, there are to appreciate everyone's work from the lowest rung and above all it must be clear that not everyone has the option to choose.
