Esta película me a compartido alguien que padece de depresión, se ha sentido identificado con ella en algunas cosas, su intención fue supongo que yo entienda su forma de llevar la depresión que fue muy distinta a la mía. Me siento identificada en algunos aspectos, pero hay tantos tipos de depresión crónica o tristeza crónica que fácilmente podríamos caer en un efecto bucle con las recaídas.

Honestamente al ver el título y el castor imaginé que la película trataba de otra cosa, de hecho tal vez algo infantil o apto para el público infantil pero no es así, no es apto para que un niño lo vea, podría no entender bien el tema, necesitaría la orientación de un adulto. No maneja temas sexualizados pero si temas bastante fuertes en materia familiar.

La forma como abordan la depresión crónica en la película a mi parecer me pareció un poco exagerada pero supongo que puede haber casos. Por ejemplo mi depresión crónica se originó a raíz de un matrimonio como el de los protagonistas, a diferencia que la depresión de Walter (Mel Gibson) no era de agredir físicamente a sus familiares o hacer actos que los lastimaran, sin embargo me pareció algo más como una esquizofrenia o una enfermedad mental grave.

This movie was shared with me by someone who suffers from depression, he has felt identified with her in some things, his intention was I guess that I understand his way of dealing with depression that was very different from mine. I feel identified in some aspects, but there are so many types of chronic depression or chronic sadness that we could easily fall into a loop effect with relapses. Honestly when I saw the title and the beaver I imagined the movie was about something else, in fact maybe something childish or suitable for a child audience but it's not, it's not suitable for a child to watch, they might not understand the subject well, they would need adult guidance. It does not deal with sexualized themes but it does deal with strong family issues. The way chronic depression is dealt with in the film seemed to me a bit exaggerated, but I suppose there may be cases. For example my chronic depression originated from a marriage like the main characters, unlike Walter's (Mel Gibson) depression was not about physically assaulting his family members or doing acts that hurt them, however it seemed to me more like schizophrenia or a serious mental illness.

Walter llegó al llegadero en su vida, su depresión lo llevó a intentar suicidarse varias veces, él un hombre de negocios, conduciendo por herencia la empresa heredada de sus padres, con una linda familia, cayó en la depresión "sin razón lógica aparente" la causa pudo ser el sentirse poco merecedor de la empresa que recibió sin méritos personales y que dejara de continuar siendo exitosa como la conducía su padre. Problemas de autoestima. Lo fue alejando cada vez más de la realidad, alejándose de su familia, su esposa paciente, y Walter sin hablar sobre lo que le sucedía. Su esposa al ver que tenía un problema le animó a ir con un psiquiatra, fue los primeras sesiones y luego no aceptó su avance, su realidad y mentía con que estaba yendo a sesiones.

Para poder superar su enfermedad o llevar su proceso camino a la sanación, ideó él mismo hablarse con una marioneta de castor y pidió a todos que respetaran su decisión ya que (mintiendo) eso era un tratamiento novedoso que el Psiquiatra ingenió para ayudarlo en su situación puesto que la medicación no ayudaba. Al principio lo tildaron de loco pero... Muchas cosas comenzaron a funcionar bien tanto en su trabajo como a nivel familiar, no podía darse cuenta quizá que tan solo era por el cambio de actitud.

In order to overcome his illness or take his process on the road to healing, he devised to talk to himself with a beaver puppet and asked everyone to respect his decision since (lying) this was a novel treatment that the psychiatrist devised to help him in his situation since the medication did not help. At first they called him crazy but.... Many things began to work out well both at work and in his family, he could not realize perhaps it was only because of the change in his attitude.

Al principio estuvo bien, pero la conducta anormal con la marioneta llegó al punto de regresar a la familia al mismo punto de partida, al no haber un avance en querer dejarla y retomar una vida normal, su esposa lo abandona y allí comienza el despertar.

Ya las escenas finales de la película son bastante fuertes tienes que verlas.

A pesar de que no quería ver la película me agradó y al ver la talla de los actores como: Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster y Jennifer Lawrence pues, definitivamente hay que verla.

La depresión de un miembro de la familia puede afectar al resto de manera significativa y mas si este tiene algún trastorno mental y se niega a tratar o mejorar. En esta película vemos cómo afectó a su esposa, sus hijos y su entorno. La única salida es aceptar que tenemos un problema y buscar ayuda profesional, aceptar que siempre podríamos tener una recaída pero tener la fuerza de voluntad para salir de ella, no permanecer mucho tiempo allí.

A diferencia de lo que pude vivir, mi depresión crónica o tristeza crónica no es del tipo que agrede o lastima a los demás, mas bien es contra mí misma, soy consciente que nadie tiene la culpa aun teniéndola de mi estado. Prefiero aislarme y tratar de salir de la situación, mientras que el otro lado... pudo ser un tormento.

Esta película nos enseña mucho, mucho, también nos aporta valores, podríamos tener un buen discernimiento para saber lo que no debemos hacer. Al final de todo me gustó la película, amé la actuación de los actores que estuvieron a la altura de su papel, aunque Mel... Sabemos que Mel Gibson tiende a sobre actuar un poco o darle demasiada energía a un papel, sobre todo si involucra la violencia.

No es apta par amenores de edad. Si les gustan las películas de este estilo se las recomiendo ver, tienen que ver el desenlace, cómo termina todo y la forma que pudieron superar o no la enfermedad.

He estado en cama sintiéndome algo mal de salud por los virus, siempre es bienvenido ver una buena película para pasar los momentos de inactividad obligada mientras sanamos.

Even though I didn't want to see the movie I liked it and seeing the stature of the actors like: Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster and Jennifer Lawrence, you definitely have to see it. The depression of a family member can affect the rest of the family in a significant way and even more if they have a mental disorder and refuse to treat it or get better. In this film we see how it affected his wife, his children and his environment. The only way out is to accept that we have a problem and seek professional help, accept that we could always have a relapse but have the willpower to get out of it, not stay there for a long time. Unlike what I could live, my chronic depression or chronic sadness is not the kind that attacks or hurts others, rather it is against myself, I am aware that no one is to blame for my state. I prefer to isolate myself and try to get out of the situation, while the other side... could be a torment. This movie teaches us a lot, a lot, it also brings us values, we could have a good discernment to know what we should not do. All in all I liked the movie, I loved the performance of the actors who lived up to their role, even though Mel... We know that Mel Gibson tends to overact a bit or give too much energy to a role, especially if it involves violence. It is not suitable for minors. If you like movies of this style I recommend you see it, you have to see the outcome, how it all ends and how they were able to overcome or not the disease. saI've been in bed feeling a little sick because of the viruses, it is always welcome to watch a good movie to pass the moments of forced inactivity while we heal.
