Hello again!
My last movie review was about a Romanian Arthouse Film called Sieranevada (2016), which will only appeal to a very small crowd. This time, I'll review a movie on the polar opposite side of the scale...
Table 19 (2017) is a light-hearted romantic comedy about a group of strangers that meet at a wedding.
The name Table 19 refers to the last table on the wedding dinner, the table of the rejects and outcasts which are usually ignored all through the dinner by the rest of the invited people...
At this table sit a group of odd characters who seem to happen to have been invited by accident. They start talking to each other and a series of strange and equally hilarious adventures happen to the odd group.
The main character of the movie is a girl named Eloise McGarry, she is a funny but quirky girl who was dumped by the groom's best man just a few days before the wedding. As you can imagine, having both of them at the same room... will lead to some confrontation and awkward situations.

This is a funny comedy to watch when you feel like having a few laughs but don't expect a phenomenal movie that will stick in your head for a long time. It's just a good entertainment movie with a simple plot.
Some of the actors are quite good. Anna Kendrick was a perfect cast for the main role and delivers an awesome performance while Lisa Kudrow (which most of you will remember from the show Friends) is as funny and charming as always. The rest of the characters are not as convincing and Wyatt Russell who plays one of the main characters is even forgettable...
While not being very original, it's still a good movie and will surely provide a good laughs to any viewer.
I would rate this a 7 out of 10, mostly because of Anna Kendrick's role. She makes the whole movie shine, which end up being a bit better than it would have been, had they cast a less charismatic actress.
