The End of Heartache

A few days ago I had the opportunity to enjoy the participation of @lyon-89, who for week 39 chose the song The End Of Heartache by the metalcore band Killswitch Engage. Without considering myself a "metalhead", in my youth I listened to bands like Guns and Roses and Nirvana, their proposals pleased me so much that my interest grew until I listened to Metallica and also Iron Maiden, but my taste for heavy rock stayed in metalcore because it combines the intensity of the chords of guitars and drums with lyrics that project feelings.

The high-pitched scream rising above the music was a form of expression that was fashionable. At that time we wore black with some leather accessories and we felt like the sensation of the neighborhood, of course without going gothic, although I had a friend who was called "The Raven", they were passionate and vigorous moments.

Watching @lyon-89's talent I realize that he has proven to be a well-rounded artist because he accepts challenges and works meticulously to achieve his goal. What he performed recently pleased me since he shows a great command of metalcore. His vocal qualities, his diction and the way he presented The End Of Heartache seemed superb to me because it flows quite strongly, not only because of his technique but also because of the performance, which transports us to the film Resident Evil, where it is the main theme.

When I go to the deeper analysis of the song, I can notice that The End Of Heartache is planted in the pain for the absence of the loved one. You can feel the longing for the memories, those instants that remain despite time and loneliness. Although there is a halo of hope, suffering consumes existence.

@lyon-89 projects his powerful voice achieving his particular seal in this cover. What pleased me the most was that despite the aggressive and dark tone of the music, which is inherent to this subgenre, he gives us harmonious nuances that fit the theme. You can tell he feels this piece of music because he is able to connect with the lyrics and convey his emotions to the audience. It is interesting when you read the lyrics and through imagination transform it into a ballad, it does not have the same impact, it is like a body without a soul.

Undoubtedly, music is a fascinating means of expression that allows us to visualize, feel and live to the fullest, it is to hold on to what we long for so much through a single sense. Music is an analgesic for the spirit and this interpretation lives up to my expectations because the representation of a tormented being imploring compassion can be felt. I closed my eyes and a rush of energy took me to a fantastic dimension in which I became a teenager again.

Hace unos días tuve la oportunidad de disfrutar de la participación de @lyon-89, quien para la semana 39 eligió la canción The End Of Heartache de la banda de metalcore Killswitch Engage. Sin llegar a considerarme una "metalera", en mi juventud escuché a bandas como Guns and Roses y Nirvana, sus propuestas me agradaron tanto que mi interés fue creciendo hasta escuchar a Metallica y también a Iron Maiden, pero mi gusto por el rock pesado se quedó en el metalcore debido a que combina la intensidad de los acordes de guitarras y batería con letras que proyectan sentimientos.

El grito agudo elevándose sobre la música era una forma de expresión que estaba de moda. En esa época vestíamos de negro con algunos accesorios de cuero y nos sentíamos la sensación del barrio, por supuesto sin llegar a lo gótico, aunque tenía un amigo que le decían "El Cuervo", fueron momentos apasionados y de mucho vigor.

Observando el talento de @lyon-89 me doy cuenta que ha demostrado ser un artista integral porque acepta retos y trabaja minuciosamente para lograr su meta. Lo que realizó recientemente me agradó puesto que muestra un gran dominio del metalcore. Sus cualidades vocales, su dicción y la forma de presentar The End of Heartache me pareció soberbia porque fluye con bastante fuerza, no solo por su técnica sino también por la interpretación, que nos transporta hasta el filme Resident Evil, donde es el tema principal.

Cuando voy al análisis más profundo de la canción, puedo notar que The End Of Heartache se planta en el dolor por la ausencia de la persona amada. Se puede sentir la añoranza por los recuerdos, esos instantes que permanecen a pesar del tiempo y la soledad. Si bien se advierte un halo de esperanza, el sufrimiento consume la existencia.

@lyon-89 proyecta su potente voz logrando su sello particular en este cover. Lo que más me agradó fue que a pesar del tono agresivo y oscuro de la música, que es inherente a este subgénero, él nos regala matices armoniosos que se amoldan al tema. Se nota que siente esta pieza musical porque es capaz de conectar con la letra y transmitir sus emociones al público. Resulta interesante cuando se lee la letra y mediante la imaginación la transformamos en una balada, no tiene el mismo impacto, es como un cuerpo sin alma.

Sin duda, la música es un medio de expresión fascinante que nos permite visualizar, sentir y vivir a plenitud, es aferrarse a lo que tanto anhelamos a través de un solo sentido. La música es un analgésico para el espíritu y esta interpretación está a la altura de mis expectativas porque la representación de un ser atormentado implorando compasión se puede sentir. Cerré los ojos y una descarga de energía me llevó a una dimensión fantástica en la cual volví a ser adolescente otra vez.
